Adobe Flash player plugin keeps crashing/Updating not working.

Almost everyday the plug-in keeps crashing which is very annoying. Updating it did not work as there are missing plug-ins and when installing them, you have to install by manual but when downloaded theres no way to open and run the missing plug-in

Reloading the page will often get the video, game or animation to play again.
If Flash continues to crash, updating to the latest version of Flash should fix the issue.
As this has been happening to you for a long time, try this too...
Go to this Flash help page on adobe.com.
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html?promoid=ISMRY
Right-click on the box that lists your Flash player version and then click Settings… in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel.
Remove the check mark from Enable hardware acceleration.
Click Close to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
Restart Firefox.

    Flash Player Plugin_11_4_402_287

    Many thanks for the link.
I will try uninstalling Flash Player and downgrading to 10.3 as recommended.

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.265 not working

Adobe was working fine until I applied the latest update. Now, it is not being recognized at all. I am running Windows XP Service Pack 3. I have tested it on multiple sites. The browsers I have tried are Chrome, IE, and Firefox. Whenever I try to load a page requiring Flash, it tells me it is missing or needs to be upgraded. I have seen other posts having the same issue, but no solutions. I definitly have Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.265 installed. I have done all the basics. Cookies and cache have been cleared. Laptop has been rebooted. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash. Any ideas?

Uninstalled and reinstalled things a second time, and we seem to be up and running now. I guess it was just waiting for me to ask before it decided to work.

  • Why is adobe flash player 11.2.202.228 not working on any of my computers or browsers?

I try to go on youtube, or any other online video, and the player screen is always black or non-existent. I try this on two different types of macs, and a dell. I tried on IE, Chrome, Fire Fox, and Safari. I right click on where the play screen should be, and it gives me two options: Movie not loaded... (in grey text), and, About Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.228. How can I fix this?

    Chris,
I followed your URLs, The Rainbird site now functions after I disable and enable Flash and I checked and uncheck Active-X.  The UTube site still displays a green picture area.  The ad displays without a problem and pictures display (thumbnails) as I slide the along the time status bar.  From your first URL my system is running 235 not 228, if that makes a difference.
Thanks for your time and I hope this helps you.  Reading your text the images that I am getting from your URL, do not match the text.  The images look like screen shots from an audio application.
I do not see a white box with a red X.

  • Adobe flash player 10.1.102.64 not working in opera 11

    hi
i am using IE and opera 11.
for IE flash player 10.1.102.64  is working in the youtube.....
    but
while using OPERA 11its not working? pls feel free to reply me:
    what i was done is.
    1.i disable antivirus
2.select my operating system and bowers
3.close my all browers which are running
after  this also its not work in opera 11

Hi, With Flash Player, there is an ActiveX Control in IE which is Shockwave Flash Object which if IE is working for you then you have it.
In all non-IE browsers there is a Shockwave Flash (SWF) and it is Installed as a plugin and must be Enabled.
You can check there for it.
    Hope that helps,

The last three versions i have tried have all exhibited the same strange behaviour in that every clip i play on youtube or in other sites including CNN go frame by frame , maybe 1 frame a second  , i tried disabling hardware acceleration in settings and it only partially worked and doesnt work in CNN at all, everytihng is frame by frame or just locks up completely.
i am running XP Pro 32bit  with Internet Explorer 8  and a Nvidia GTX 295 with driver 266.58 .  norton Secutiy suite 2011 ,   I have also tried the adobe uninstaller and reinstalled the flash player countless times ,nothing works.
    Any help appreciated .

    Hello,
latest Nvida driver is installed and working correctly.  flash logo displays ok  and correct version displayed.  Hd clips etc  frame by frame...  very annoying.
Shockwave flash object is installed in addons and enabled .   I use the flash installer exe and uninstaller exe.

  • Adobe Flash Player 10.1.53.64 not working.

I just downloaded AFP 10.1.53.64, because when I logged into my Hulu account, it said I needed the latest version.  The download was successful, and I verified thru Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs that it IS on my computer.  However, when I go back to Hulu account, it keeps prompting me to download.  If it's helpful, here is some information about my computer:
Windows XP Professional Version 2002, Service Pack 3
                        Internet Explorer 8
I have installed and uninstalled several times.  I have also restarted my computer.  Additionally, I've shut down any extra programs before I tried to install the Flash Player.  If anyone can assist me, I will be truly grateful.  Thanks!

Eidnolb, I'm so sorry for not posting sooner.  I've been working so much lately, that I haven't had a chance to get online for the past couple weeks.
    Ok....back to your instructions....
I disabled all the addons with the exception of the ones listed under "Microsoft Corporation."  Then I disabled Resident Shield and Active Surf Shield and Search Shield on AVG.
Once I made sure all messenger and browser windows were closed, I ran the Adobe uninstaller and restarted two times.  Then I ran the Adobe installer and restarted once.  When that was completed and the computer was back up, I enabled only AVG Resident Shield.  I haven't enabled any other addons or AVG programs.
I checked under addons, and this is all I have under Adobe:
    AcroIEHlprObj Class, version 7.0.0.1333
Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Browser Document, version 7.0.0.0
I also went into the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder and found these programs:
    Flash10h.ocx
    FlashUtil10h_ActiveX.exe
    FlashUtil10h_Activex.dll
    FlashInstall.log
    install.log
Folder named "FlashPlayerTrust" w/ "rpconverter.cfg" inside it.
I went to Hulu and YouTube, but I still can't play videos.  Are there other file locations I should check?
Thank you, eidnolb!  I just want to say again how sorry I am that I haven't been online.

  • Adobe Flash Player 10.3.181.34 - Not Working?

    Hey,
So I have windows 7, 64-bit operating system and I use Mozilla Firefox (32-bit) as my browser. I have yet to try other browsers and I have downloaded the 32-bit version for the use of the flash player. But almost any website that requires flash, doesn't work (which is a large portion of the internet). I'm at a loss, I've reinstalled it, re-started my computer, re-installed firefox,
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

What Firefox version do you use?
FP 10.3.181.34 works fine for me on Firfox 3.6.18 and 5.0
Can you see the Flash animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?
Regarding your problem, can you be more specific what you mean by "not working" - what are the exact symptoms?
Finally, what files do you have in C:\Windows\syswow64\Macromed\Flash?
