Adobe Flash player SCUP catalog cound found update from India

Hi ,
We have 2 sites with SCCM 2007 R3 and SCUP 2011 for each site.
We have Windows 7 x64 SP1 on all client systems
First site is in INDIA .
Second Site is in European country
1. Now when we import flash update from SCUP from India server then it Could not found the Latest flash update
2. But at the same time when we import flash update from SCUP from European country it could found flash update .
We are using url for both sites : http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/AdobeFlashPlayerCatalog_ SCUP.cab
Any idea why Adobe is not publishing updates to INDIA server.
Thanks

  • Adobe Flash Player 10.1.82.76 update just released (fixes SWF in PPT bug)

    Hi,
If you are using the Adobe Flash Player make sure you update to Adobe Flash Player 10.1.82.76 ([released by Adobe on August 10th 2010|https://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb10-16.html]).
As well as having the latest security fixes this update also fixes the Adobe Flash Player bug that stopped Xcelsius SWFs from working when you embedded them into a PPT: https://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb10-16.html
FYI: Xcelsius is based on Adobe Flex and this bug also affected any Adobe Flex based SWF that was embedded into a PPT not just Xcelsius.

  • Flash Player SCUP catalog

    Hello!
I'm trying to use SCUP to publish some non-Microsoft updates to WSUS. Flash Player is one of the applications I need to support.
I did find the following interesting thread http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrsum/thread/ccb798f7-5f3e-4aef-b3 51-37ffc76753ba saying that there is a SCUP catalog for Adobe Flash Player at this location: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/AdobeFlashPlayerCatalog. cab
However, upon importing it into SCUP and inspecting the two resulting updates, it seemed that the catalog is not up to date - the creation date of both catalog updates is 2010-02-05, while at least one security update for Flash Player (http://www.adobe.com/support/security/#flashplayer) has been released after that date.
Is the above mentioned location the reliable source to get Adobe Flash Player updates SCUP catalog?
    Regards,
    Radu.

Funny I'm having the same issue but I am able to get Reader and Acrobat updates published.I ended up downloading it manually pointed the install to the manual download saved it and then pointed it back to http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_playe r_16_plugin.msi and http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_playe r_16_active_x.msi.
Looks like the the installable rules and installed rules were my problem. When I pointed it to the manual download it changed them to "WSUS Generated MSI Installable Rule (read only)" and "WSUS Generated MSI Installed Rule (read only)"
If you need further instructions please let me know I'll detail it out. I still need to test it in my SCCM console also.

  • Adobe Flash Player installed - but not working

I have Windows 7, 64 bit, with Internet Explorer 11.  On the day before Thanksgiving everything was working fine.  I received a greeting on 11/27 and was unable to open it - I was told I needed to install Adobe Flash Player - assumed it was an update - but since that time I've been unable to open any of the puzzles on Shockwave, or cards from greeting card providers - probably some other things, but I haven't found out about them yet.  Every time I try to open any of these programs, I get a message that I need to install the flash player.  My control panel shows that I have Adobe Flash Player 15 Active X, 6 MB, version 15.0.0.239 installed and the add-on manager under tools says it's enabled - but it escapes me what it's enabled to do other than drive me batty and waste all my time.  I've rebooted the computer, closed all IE windows, numerous times after uninstalling the program and then reinstalling it - all a waste of time.  Is there any advice out there?  Linda Kochefko, El Dorado, KS

is Active X Filtering something that should show up under Tools, Manage Add-Ons?  If so, I think I had it earlier this week, but it's gone now.  In my efforts to eliminate the Flash Player so I could reinstall a working copy, I may have uninstalled too much.  It's not listed under Programs or under Tools at this time.

  • I cannot install/upgrade Adobe Flash Player

An email came to me with something sent on Adobe.  I could not open it because I needed an update on my Adobe Flash player.  I tried to update it and nearly finish with the installation when I keep getting the message that I need to close Safari  which IS closed.  I can get up to 97% installed and then a box pops up that says I have to close Safari.  I open Safari and then close it and then hit the "retry button" but it keeps bouncing back that I need to close Safari.  HELP.

    Hello,
On Mac, closing a browser, or app window, closes only that instance of the app.  It does not terminate the application.  Please refer to How do I quit Safari (or another browser/app) in OS X for information on how to properly terminate Safari and proceed with Flash Player installation.

  • Problems installing Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.125.

Can not get my MacBook Pro 17" to install Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.125.  Our iMac installed it.
The system hangs forever looking for resources

Hopefully, you'll be installing the 14.0.0.145 Flash update very soon - however the same problem you experienced persists with that.
Fortunately there is a simple solution.
There appears to be a problem with Adobe Flash Player Install Manager - the simple answer is to let the system install the flash update instead:
When you use the Flash updater, it downloads a disk image to a temp folder (inside /private/var/folders but you don't need to know that). This is automatically mounted (briefly) while the app 'Adobe Flash Player Install Manager' launches. Adobe Flash Player Install Manager is supposed to manage the whole instillation but in some case it gets stuck. If this process fails for you (such as hanging on 95% completion), there is a very simple route forward which doesn't require you to open your browser or manually download anything.
It only requires 3 steps and you can be 100% sure you are getting the correct update - the one Adobe tried to install but failed. I've broken these down into detailed but very simple substeps (further down this post) for anybody who is unsure, but experienced users can probably just follow these three steps:
Force quit Adobe Flash Player Install Manager
Locate and mount the Flash Player Installer disk image with Disk Utility
Locate the Adobe Flash Player installer package within the Install Manager app and run the installation from Finder
    Hope this helps. Enjoy.
Those steps in detail (as carried out in OSX 10.6.8).
    1. Force quit Adobe Flash Player Install Manager
Press these three keys together: Cmd + Option (or Alt) + esc
Select Adobe Flash Player Install Manager in the popup window titled "Force Quit Applications"
Hit return or click the button labelled "Force Quit"
    2. Locate and mount the Flash Player Installer disk image with Disk Utility
Open Disk Utility (in Applications/Utilities folder or find it with Spotlight)
On the left hand side, your attached drives and mounted volumes are listed above a horizontal line. Below that line you should see one or more disk images (named e.g. something.dmg). These are recently accessed disk images - including one containing the adobe updater.
At or near the bottom of that list you should see something called decryptedFile.dmg
Under that you might see a (greyed out) volume image called Flash Player
Double click decryptedFile.dmg (or the Flash Player volume if you can see it - it makes no difference).
This should mount a volume titled "Flash Player" and automatically open a finder window showing the contents.
The volume "Flash Player" will show up in your Finder sidebar and on your desktop (unless you've chosen not to show External Disks in Finder preferences)
    3. Locate the Adobe Flash Player installer package and run the installation from Finder
You should by now have a Finder window open showing the contents of the volume "Flash Player". If not, open a new Finder window and click on Flash Player in the sidebar. The sole contents are an app called Install Adobe Flash Player.
Right click the item "Install Adobe Flash Player" and select "Show Package Contents" from the contextual menu that appears.
This opens a new window showing a folder called "Contents". Open it by double clicking to reveal the contents including a folder called "Resources".
Locate and open the folder "Resources" and look for a file called Adobe Flash Player (Adobe Flash Player.pkg)
This is the Installer Package for the update. Double Click it.
Don't be put off by the words "Welcome to the Adobe Flash Player Installer" - this is not the Adobe Flash Install Manager (the one that failed you earlier) this is Apple's "Installer" app.
Follow the steps to the end then eject the volume Flash Player in the normal way (e.g. Finder sidebar)
Open the Flash Player control panel to check the current version has now been updated.
Don't be put off by "PPAPI Plug-in is not installed" - you can ignore it.
Some steps may go differently if you are running a different version of Mac OS X  - I use 10.6.8

  • Cannot reinstall Adobe Flash Player on Macbook OSX 10.5.8

I was trying to watch videos on facebook but I was unable to due to the fact that it said that adobe flash player was out of date.  I therefore uninstalled adobe flash player and tried to reinstall it from adobe's website.  When I try to reinstall it, the icon bounces at the bottom of the page but does not open.  Everytime I have done this, it says the "application not responding".  Does anyone have any idea what is going on, and if anyone has an answer to this problem?

FlashPlayer can be difficult ot updates. In the document below some of the files specifics  will not apply to your computer, but the general procedure probably applies.
    *Flash Player for PPC Macs*
Adobe's last release of Flash Player for PPC Macs was in November, 2010 with release 10.1.102.64 Subsequent releases are for Intel based Macs only.
To check your installed version of FlashPlayer - http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about
Download the version you need from Adobe.
    To install:
    1) Run Disk Utility and verify your hard drive.  If the hard drive reports errors then it will need repairing first (another topic).  If it verifies, run Disk Utility's repair permissions.
    2) Back up your hard drive, ideally to a bootable clone. A bootable clone will allow you to restore your hard drive to its original state should something go wrong.
    3) Quit all applications to ensure nothing is actively using Flash. You can even do the next step while booted to Safe Mode to make sure.

[Safe Boot takes longer than normal startup|http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107394]
    4) Run the uninstaller application. Adobe says, "Adobe recommends that you restart your computer before you install a different version of the player."
    5) Run the installer application from the .dmg file you got from the second download.
    6) Use Disk Utility to repair permissions on your computer. this is important when installing anything from Adobe.
    7) Restart your computer.

Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again
The message, "The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed," is shown when the Flash plugin stops working unexpectedly. Reloading the page will often get the video, game or animation to play again.
If the Flash plugin continues to crash, updating to the latest version of Flash should fix the issue. This article explains how to update Flash and other possible solutions.
    Plugin crash notification Fx21
    Update Flash
The latest version of the Flash plugin should perform better and crash less often. To check if Flash is up to date, visit Mozilla's Plugin Check page. If it says that Flash needs to be updated, install the latest version manually using the steps below.
Go to Adobe's Flash Player download page and download the Flash installer.
Caution: Adobe's download page may include a checkbox for optional software (such as Google Chrome or McAfee Security Scan) that is selected by default. If you do not clear the checkbox before downloading, that software will be installed on your computer when you open the Flash installer.
When the download has finished, close Firefox.
Click the menu button New Fx Menu and then click Exit Close 29
Open the Flash installer file you downloaded and follow the instructions.
Note: If you are having problems with the Flash installer from Adobe's download page, you can use this Flash Player installer link to directly download the full installer.
    Disable hardware acceleration in Flash
Many Flash problems can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings (Adobe's Flash Player Help - Display Settings page has details). To disable hardware acceleration in Flash:
Go to this Adobe Flash Player Help page.
Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page, then click on Settings in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel.
Remove the check mark from Enable hardware acceleration.
    fpSettings1.PNG
Click Close to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    Restart Firefox.
Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems
The Adobe Flash Player browser plugin lets you view video and animated content in Firefox. This article has information about testing, updating, uninstalling and troubleshooting the Adobe Flash plugin.
Note: The Firefox Software Update feature does not update installed plugins. See the Adobe Security bulletins and advisories page for information about security and stability issues affecting Adobe Flash Player and other Adobe products.
    Testing Flash
Visit Adobe's Test Page to see if the Flash plugin is installed and working properly. If it tells you that Flash is not installed, follow the instructions in the Updating Flash section below to install the Flash plugin.
    Updating Flash
The Flash plugin automatically updates itself by default. If Mozilla's Plugin Check page says that Flash is outdated and you don't want to wait for the automatic update, you can update Flash manually by downloading and installing the latest version from Adobe.
    Uninstalling Flash
For instructions on uninstalling Flash, see Adobe's help page, Uninstall Flash Player - Windows
Note: Running Adobe's uninstaller will remove Flash from all browsers where it is not built-in, including Internet Explorer. You will be prompted to reinstall Flash when you visit a page that requires it, such as Adobe's Test Page.
    Troubleshooting
    Flash plugin not working
If Adobe's Test Page does not show that Flash is working even though you have installed the latest version, your Flash plugin may be disabled. To make sure that Flash is enabled,
Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Add-ons. The Add-ons Manager tab will open.
In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Plugins panel.
If the Flash plugin is disabled, select Always Activate in its drop-down menu.
Flash works in Internet Explorer or Chrome but not in Firefox
There are three different types of Flash Players: an ActiveX version for Internet Explorer, a Chrome version built-in the browser and a plugin version for Firefox and some other browsers. If you want Flash to work in Firefox you must install the plugin version, as explained above.
The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed
If you see this message instead of Flash content, see Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again.
    Unresponsive plugin warning
Firefox will show you a warning dialog if the Flash plugin is taking longer then expected:
    warning-unresponsive-plugin
See the article Warning Unresponsive plugin - What it means and how to fix it for solutions and workarounds.
Cannot view full screen Flash videos
See Flash videos won't play full screen.
Playing Flash videos makes Firefox hang
If Firefox stops responding or if the Flash plugin hangs or stops working when playing Flash videos or games, try these solutions:
Pause or stop Flash in other tabs. You may need to close those tabs.
Update Flash. See the Updating Flash section above for instructions.
Disable hardware acceleration in Flash using these steps:
Go to this Adobe Flash Player Help page.
Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page, then click on Settings in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel.
Remove the check mark from Enable hardware acceleration.
    fpSettings1.PNG
Click Close to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    Restart Firefox.
Update your graphics drivers. See Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL for details.
    Other Flash problems and solutions
Your Flash issue could be caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration in Firefox. See Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems to narrow down the cause.
Other solutions for general audio and video problems are listed in the Fix common audio and video issues article.
If Flash content does not work, acts strangely, causes errors, or if you see a notice that you need to update Flash (for instance, at Mozilla's Plugin Check) even after installing the latest Flash version, uninstall and reinstall Flash.

    Any suggestion?

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @yuvalyanai
I read about the issue you are having with scanning, as you are seeing a message to enable Adobe Flash player.
To begin, I would like to know some more information:
Which operating system you are running and which printer you are working with?
How Do I Find My Model Number?
Which Windows Operating System am I running?
    Can you make copies successfully?
Can you print from your computer?
Have you tried updated Adobe Flash player?
Can you scan successfully from Microsoft Paint?
How is your printer connected to your PC, wireless, ethernet or USB?
In the meantime, try resetting the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
