Adobe Flash Player starts deleting itself
Hi there
Recently I have encountered the following problem:
All of a sudden a program called ThreatFire (I believe it is some kind of anti-spyware and -malware program) tells me that Adobe Flash Player is deleting itself. I then chose the option of blocking this action, which led to that Flash Player is now not working. I guess I could unblock it again and then make it work, or just reinstall Flash Player, something which I have done and then it started all this deleting itself buisness...
So I would like to get to the root of this problem? So what do you think could be causing this?
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, and my default browser is Comodo Dragon.
So is there anymore you will have to know?
Hey there
I kind of lost my other account (lolller3).
So the same person just a different user.
Ok I have attached to screen pictures of the system32 and syswow64 respectively.

Why does latest version of Adobe flash player starts multiple copies
When I go to a page that uses adobe flash player Firefox freezes. When I open up task manager there are up to 10 copies of flash player running and I have to close them manually. What is going on?
FlashPlayer often causes problems.
The protected mode is intended to improve security, but itself may cause problems. It certainly has been shown conclusivly to increase the rate of Firefox crashes. Firefox now makes it easier to disable Flash Player's protected mode when necessary or for test and compsarison purposes.
*See [[Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again#w_disable-flash-protected-mode]]'''_disable-flash-protected-mode'''
*Also see [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems]]
Note some sites offer HTML5 video instead of or as an alternative to FlashPlayer. YouTube is an example, but even with YouTube options have been chabging and changing back and sometimes may differ and be not only browser specific but browser version specific. Look at their test and options page with each browser:

Adobe flash player starts download, then fails. help?!

I originally had adobe flash player, but i accidentally uninstalled it and now i'm having major trouble getting it back!
i would like to install the adobe flash player. so i visited the adobe homepage and chose the right version. after downloading, i opned the installation program. i closed all required program. but suddenly after it was starting with the download it said: installation failed (see below).
i'm sure that i chose the right version mac os x 10.4 to 10.5, then i have mac book 10.5.8 intel. (btw i also tried the newer version). i've also tried the download with safari and firefox.
thank you very much for your answers! i really need themGo to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Move the Flash Player.plugin to the Trash.
Now reinstall the plugin > http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/
Adobe suggests temporarily disabling anti virus software if you have that installed before downloading the plugin. -
Mac and Adobe Flash Player problem.
For some unknown reason my Macbook has started to uninstall or lose the Adobe Flash Player all by itself !
I can be using the Flash Player and then sometimes close down or just exit the programme and when I come back to use it later it is not there ! It just doesn't work. I have to reinstall again and then all is OK for a while....until it happens again. It has only started doing this recently.
Nothing has changed, laptop is OK with everything else, apple updates all uptodate, permissions in utility regularly reset etc.
Any ideas ??
Thanks
BrianIt's still doing this un-install thing !!!
No ideas anyone ??

Flash causes us all immense confusion, and Firefox is adding to the problem.
My Firefox Add-ons page lists (under Plugins -- isn't there a difference?) that I have:
Shockwave Flash 12.0.0.70 which is set to "Always Activate".
Adobe websites list:
Adobe Flash Player 12.0.0.70
Adobe Shockwave Player 12.0.9.149
-- so what on earth is the Firefox-listed "Shockwave Flash"?
This simply adds to the utter confusion already surrounding Flash Player -- which I cannot find anywhere amongst my Programs -- but which I can find under "Uninstall or change a Program" where it is listed as "Adobe Flash Player 12 Plugin".
There is also the thorny issue of FlashPlayer vs. FlashPlayerDownloader......
I need a flash of inspiration to get me out of shock -- I'm not waving, I'm drowning! In the internals of the plugin it is still referenced as Shockwave Flash. That hasn't changed as it would break websites that check for a specific plugin name. You can see that on the about:plugins page and in the properties of the Flash plugins file.
You can open the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) and paste this JavaScript code in the command line to see how the Adobe Flash Player plugin identifies itself:
<pre><nowiki>console.log(navigator.plugins["Shockwave Flash"].name);
console.log(navigator.plugins["Shockwave Flash"].description);
</nowiki></pre>
*https://developer.mozilla.org/Tools/Web_Console
On disk you will also see Macromedia for folder names used by the plugin.
*32 bit Windows: C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\
*64 bit Windows: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\
* C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\ -
Visualizing problem with Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.262 plugin
Since Adobe Flash Player plugin updated itself to 11.3.300.262 version, embedded flash objects in pages and forums are disappearing from the screen when I scroll the page.
There are some compatibility issues between the latest Flash player and some Firefox add-ons or settings. If you end up trying Flash 11.3 again, can you see whether disabling smoothing scrolling helps with the display problem?
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced > General
Uncheck the box for "Use smoothing scrolling" -

Adobe Flash Player Installer 11.1 will not stop trying to load itself
Howdy,
Adobe Flash Player Installer 11.1 automatically starts/restarts itself trying to load this program. I have this program and have the update to it already, but this AFP installer 11.1 keeps trying to load itself until my computer freezes. The .exe files it starts as is FP_AX_CAB_INSTALLER.EXE, which then opens another .exe file called InstallerFlashPlayer.exe
I have downloaded the uninstall flash player today and tried to remove everything Flash and Adobe, but still this .exe file keeps popping up.Does that still happen after you restart Windows?
Try downloading the full installer from http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
If you still need help, please specify your Windows version and edition, as well as your browser. -

And sorry for my brilliant english, I am a student ... I hope

thanks for your time and kindness and wait with love your

Oscar, SpainHi SunnyMannn-
For programs, "delete" bad. "uninstall" good. You've left
remnants the program and it won't allow you to try again.
You'll need to use the official Adobe Flash Player Uninstall
tool. I don't remember the short path to it, but here's the path:
www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer
scroll down and you'll see the "How to uninstall..." link
which has the tool and instructions. This should work.
If all else fails, you could do a "System Restore" back to
the point prior to starting this mess.
You only need to post one thread.... -

Since the latest version of Adobe Flash Player wouldn't install after deleting the version I had that did work, should I try to install an older version?
I just checked in the control panel and my add/remove programs and listed is Adobe Flash Player Active X, version 11.1.102.55. But when I tried to view a video I could not and got a message saying I needed Adobe Flash Player. Now I'm really confused?????
''Locking. Duplicate of: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/897585 ''Hi,
What does "still won't work" mean? Flash Player 10.3.183.90 is very old. You might find that many sites require a newer version of Flash Player to view content, perhaps this is what you mean by "still won't work". Depending on your system, you may be able to upgrade to OS X 10.6 which will enable you to install the newest version of Flash Player. There's lots of information on this on the internet. Just search for "upgrade OS X 10.5.8 to 10.6" or similar.

What flash player to use on iPad 2 that is similar to Adobe Flash Player? Need this to choose files for upload of assignments to my online university. I started my profile for this site using my iPad 2 and couldn't choose a picture to upload as well. Hmm
There is no "flash player similar to Adobe Flash Player". Flash is a proprietary Adobe product. There is currently no version of Flash for iOS.

Why so I keep getting 'blocked-plug in' message! Very frustrating. Never happened before. related to Adobe Flash Player for videos. Have deleted Adobe and put the new Adobe on, but still get message. Seems others have had this same problem.

How to stop Adobe flash Player from automatically opening when I start google browser
Whenever I open any google browsers i.e. Chrome or google, the Adobe flash player automatically starts. I want to know is there any settings I can unclick that will stop it from opening automatically. I want to have the control of when to start flash player.
Having just solved this irritating issue, two steps are required to stop Chrome running audio or video automatically, but still allow it to run on request:
1 Go to chrome://plugins/ and uncheck the 'Always allowed' box for the offending plug-ins - Adobe Flashplayer, Quicktime etc
2 Go to chrome://settings/content, scroll to the Plug-ins section and change the default 'Run automatically (recommended)' to 'Click to play'
Now when you open a page with audio or video content, it'll be greyed-out with a jigsaw icon, which you can click to run.
