Adobe flash player unstable and disabled by Firefox

Adobe Flash plugin stopped working on YouTube and other news sites. Firefox claims Flashplayer is "unstable" and therefore disabled. It says I need to update, but the update crashes. Things were fine until Firefox screwed things up early this morning. How does one FIX FIREFOX?

I was "forced" to update to Firefox 34.0.5 and I have Adobe Flash player 16.0.0.235
All i get is now that flash player crashed constantly! What kind of "upgrade" is this? More like a downgrade to incompatibility, creating artificial problems that did not exist before!
Very annoyed!

• How to make adobe flash player always on in the firefox?

I have a desktop pc with OS windows 7. I used daily firefox about 7 hours and more. Everytime i open firefox and go for the search page like youtube and videos sites an authorization noticed me to confirm to Allow adobe flash player. And also open a new tab and go the video sites also asks the same everytime i switced allow to adobe flash player to works. How i resolve this problem. And how to switch always adobe flash player to be on.

Your Shockwave Flash plugin probably is set to "Ask to Activate" (which means, click to play). You could try switching it to "Always Activate" on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins.
If Firefox only offers the options of "Ask to Activate" and "Never Activate" then most likely the version you have is on the "block list." This is a regularly updated list of add-ons that are either out-of-date or malicious. If you can approve the plugin to run as needed, then it is a "soft block" that eventually will turn into a hard block where you will not be able to enable it at all.
I realize Flash 11.3 and higher can create a lot of problems in Firefox. Most of these are due to the protected mode feature. If you eventually have to update, the following pages provide different ways to disable the feature:

• Having to reinstall Adobe Flash Player over and over and over....,

I've ignored this problem for a while now and I really want to get this over with. It's really starting to piss me off.
So I have to download adobe flash player over and over because Steam tells me "You will need to Install the latest Flash plugin to view this page properly" (I'd like flash player to work so I could watch trailers from the Steam window instead of searching up trailers on my browser.) So I do and maybe in about a few days I have to reinstall another flash player. But what's weird is when Steam's flash player doesn't work I can watch Youtube videos just find on Firefox and Internet Explorer.

Try uninstalling it this way first.

• Adobe flash Player 12 and Silverlight update

Hi:
I recently updated to the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (12) and Silverlight. Adobe is still saying it needs to be updated and won't let me run anything that needs it. My school e-mail uses the silverlight portion of this and crashes Safari.
How do I fix this?

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 7. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
You might have to log out or reboot before a Flash update takes effect.
Step 2
In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
Close the window. Then select
 ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.
Step 3
If you're only having trouble with YouTube videos, log in to YouTube and load this page. You may see a link with the text "Leave the HTML5 Trial." If so, click that link.
Step 4
If you get a warning of a "blocked" or "outdated" plug-in, then from the menu bar select
 ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch the browser.
If the warning persists, triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources
Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open. Inside it, there should be a file named "XProtect.meta.plist". If that file is missing and you know why it's missing, restore it from a backup or copy it from another Mac running the same version of OS X. Otherwise, reinstall OS X.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
Step 5
Open this folder as in Step 4:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Delete the following item, or anything with a similar name, if present:
Flash Player (failing).plugin
You may be prompted for your login password.
Step 6
Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from the domain "get.adobe.com". Don't click a link from any other website, including this one, because you can't trust links. They may be an attempt to trick you into installing malware masquerading as Flash. Type the address into the browser window. Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
Step 7
If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked
Allow (or Enable) plug-ins
Then click the button marked
Manage Website Settings...
if present and make sure that the website is not blocked for Flash.
Step 8
Select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.

Hi Terry, A post is the message that anyone has just typed in. When you replied to me, that was your post. I am replying to you so this is my post. Think of it as sending an email or mailing a letter at the "post" office.
Now right at the top of the last post (message) you sent me is a Post#, then the date and time and under that the thread subject "Re: I am trying to download Adobe Flash Player 10 and I keep getting......
The first time that you posted, you described your problem. The next post after that is #1 and so on.
The Adobe Flash Player forum works very much like email except there are a lot of "threads". A thread is what each message you see is called. Everyone that registers can start their own thread (subject). Then other people see it and can post to your thread and try to help you with your problem.
You did pretty good, you registered, and you started your first thread
Now do you feel somewhat more relaxed? Hope so.
Take a look now and see if you can find the Post# and etc that I described above.
Thanks,

• A mic doesn't work. Adobe Flash Player camera and microphone exceptions are different. Please, help!

Hello!
The trouble began in Google Hangouts on Air. When I'm in conference room I read that my mic doesn't work. I checked settings, chose "default" one time and my microphone name another time. Both variants don't help. On the right end of an address bar I read this message: "this page has been blocked from accessing your camera and microphone". I clicked it, chose "Allow", after reloading the problem returns. Then I went to Chrome exceptions and allowed my mic on the site.
In Chrome exceptions menu I read this: "Adobe Flash Player camera and microphone exceptions are different". Though I chose "Allow" in Chrome I can't do it Fllash Player. I did all the instructions which are given to solve audio problems, but it didn’t help. I also wanted to allow excess for my mic on “Website Privacy Settings Panel”, but I can’t find https://plus.google.com in the list to allow (attach a screenshot). I’m out of ideas what else to do. Please, help!

• Adobe Flash Player has been disabled and downloading an updated version says that it won't download until Mozilla is closed and I don't know what that means.

Adobe Flash Player won't operate when I am using Mozilla. The window says that it is disabled. I have tried enabling it, but it doesn't do anything. When I try to download the latest version of AFP, it says that it will download when Mozilla Firefox is closed. I have closed Mozilla, I have turned the computer off and nothing that I have tried has activated AFP.

I had been getting those notices for months, I finally broke down and hit the button to automatically upgrade. I was flooded with offers of new services from $10. to $49. per month - and my audio/video for Facebook, NYT and NPR are "blocked" with the advice to "upgrade " my Adobe Flash Player - for which there does not seem to be any customer support. My advice is to skip the "upgrading" if your computer works;I do not know what to do now . . .

• Adobe Flash Player won't install into Firefox, even when using the offline installer, and downloading it through Firefox

Ever since the latest update of the Adobe Flash Player, I think it came out this week.
I can't seem to get it to work with Firefox, I have downloaded the installer, it installs successfully, then I check in Firefox to see if it works. It says that I need to install it?!?! I have tried the offline installer of the Adobe Flash Player, I also tried installing it through Firefox (when you click "Install missing plugins"). That just fails instantly.
I posted on the Adobe Forums, but no luck.
I am getting frustrated with this! I have never had problems with installing the Flash Player, and I didn't install this version any different from the previous versions. Flash Player was working well until the latest update of Flash Player was released.
If I go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash, it shows all the Flash Player files, but it's not showing up in the Firefox addon manager, and not working on YouTube, or any other Flash Player sections of sites.
I installed the 64-bit version, because I have a 64-bit Windows.
It works on IE, but not on Firefox.
It seems like it installs fine, but then it doesn't looks like it "installs" it into Firefox. Or whatever...
Also, I have tried uninstalling it with the Adobe 64-bit Uninstaller, restarting my PC after uninstalling, then install the 64-bit Flash Player for Firefox... doesn't work.
I have done EVERYTHING I can do to try and get it to work, no luck...
Please, any help with be appreciated!

• Why does Adobe Flash Player block me from using Firefox?

Every time I try to use Firefox, Adobe Flash Player blocks me from doing so.
I get continual messages that keep reappearing: """""""Adobe Flash Player 11.5 r502 has stopped working.
A problem occurred to make the program stop working correctly. Windows has closed... etc. """""""
This message just keeps re-appearing, and I can't do anything else by close out of it........
and then switch to another browser. I CAN'T USE FIREFOX.
I went in and downloaded the new version, just to make sure it wasn't being blocked by an old version,
but that didn't matter at all. It still blocks me out.
HELP!!!!!!! How do I stop this?

I'm sorry you're going through this. I suspect you're running into a conflict with our Protected Mode which was introduced in Flash Player 11.4. Please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this FAQ:
How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
In particular, I'd recommend temporarily disabling protected mode (for troubleshooting purposes only) to see if that addresses the issue. If it does, please re-enable it and give our latest Flash Player 11.6 beta a shot. You can download it here:

• Adobe flash player does not work on Firefox, but does on Wind Exp

I have reinstalled Adobe Flash Player many times and also reinstalled Firefox, but flash player does not work. Every tim I try to play something it tells me to install the latest version of flash player. Flash player works fine on on Windows Explorer

IE uses a different version of Flash (ActiveX) than other browsers use, you need to install the Plugin version of Flash.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here:
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version].
Save it to your Desktop.
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed,
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.

When I attempt to install 32-bit Adobe Flash Player 11.1.102.55 onto my Firefox (I use Windows Vista), it will not download and simply stops at 95%. I wait for 30 minutes, and it still doesn't download, so I close it. I would please like help. Thank you for responding to and/or reading this.

• Adobe flash player download and states its install successfully but its not there

I have mozilla firefox 3.6.11
Windows 7
toshiba laptop
i have downlad adobe flash player 10.1 i think it was
it was installed successfully so the computer says but it just bring me back to the screen to download and it is not on my computer.

The current version of Adobe Flash player (version 10.1 r85) is installed on your system. Under Tools > Add-ons > Plugins it is shown as "Shockwave Flash". That name was chosen by Adobe and causes confusion for some.
'''Check your plugin versions''': http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
*'''Note: plugin check page does not have information on all plugin versions'''
'''''"...but it just bring me back to the screen to download and it is not on my computer."'''''
Although you should not need to, have you tried exiting and restarting Firefox after the installation?
