I have problems with Adobe Flash Player 11 NOT working after several attempts to download, then uninstall, & re-install.
I uninstalled the previous versions of Adobe Flash Player from my computer PRIOR to attempting to install the new 11 version, so now I'm unable to view videos, etc.,
I'm using Windows Vista 32 bit, Internet Explorer 9.0 (which I closed when I got error messages during Adobe Flash Player 11 Installation. I've disabled my AVG -Virus also during the installation of Flash Player 11.
FYI, I'm not computer savvy so the YouTube video by Adobe Tech was too complicated to follow AND I'm unable to view (DUH!) it since I have no Flash Player program installed (doesn't make sense!) .
Thanks for keeping it simple (KISS for me).I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling some 30 times now ..rebooting, you name it.
I haven't been able to use flash since Adobe kindly shoved that latest update down my computer's throat.
Right after getting the 'successful' installation message I restart IE9 ..go to my channel on youtube and immediately get the message:
The Adobe Flash Player is required for video playback.
Get the latest Flash Player
I tried Chrome and on two or three it worked but then even after closing out of them ..Chrome slowed down to a crawl and finally informed me that Flash had stopped working.
This has entirely wasted 3 nights of my time. It is 2:30 am and I should have had at least 2hours sleep already to rise at 6:30 but no, thanks this I'm still up and no doubt millions of other computer users are having just as much fun.. Everyone I know that allowed the updates to install ..is having the same problem ..Chrome/IE9/Firefox ...you can truly call it Adobe's Universal Cluster ...
I live with Adobe. At work we have 6 fully Adobied LR4/CS5 & 6/InDesign workstations. I'm a photographer using nothing but Adobe products and quite frankly I feel this is the worst treatment you have ever given your customers.
Please stop the CYA and just fix the damm thing! I realize you didn't write it Chris but surely you can get Adobe management to address this instead of just trying to get their users to try and debug it for the airheads that released it. Has anyone stopped to consider the financial damage being done due to videos not playing the ads that support the sites and no doubt stream revenue to Adobe? These guys have rolled the online experience back 5 years minimum and Adobe will probably pay the price for it. Re-issue a working version and go back to the drawing board! -

adobe flash player is not working safari
If you can't install or update Flash, follow these instructions.
If you have installed the latest version of Flash, please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 8. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
You might have to log out or restart the computer before a Flash update takes effect.
Step 2
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
and confirm. Close the window. Then select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced ▹ Delete All...
In the sheet that opens, check the box marked
Delete All Site Data and Settings
then click Delete Data. Close the preference pane.
Step 3
If you're only having trouble with YouTube videos, log in to YouTube and load this page. You may see a link with the text "Leave the HTML5 Trial." If so, click that link.
Step 4
a. If you get a warning of a "blocked" or "outdated" plug-in, then select the Security tab in the Safari preferences window. In the list of plugins on the left, there should be one—and only one—entry for "Adobe Flash Player," showing the same version number that you installed. Select that entry. On the right there will be a list of websites for which you have specifically allowed Flash, if any. It's normal for the list to be empty. Below that is a menu labeled
When visiting other websites
From that menu, select either Allow or Ask.
b. If you still get the alerts, then go back to the Flash Player preference pane and select the Advanced tab. Click Check Now. Quit and relaunch the browser.
c. If the alerts still persist, triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources
Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open. Inside it, there should be a file named "XProtect.meta.plist". If that file is missing and you know why it's missing, restore it from a backup or copy it from another Mac running the same version of OS X. Otherwise, reinstall OS X.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
Step 5
In the Safari preferences window, select the Advanced tab and uncheck the box marked
Stop plug-ins to save power
Step 6
Open this folder as in Step 4:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Delete the following item, or anything with a similar name, if present:
Flash Player (failing).plugin
You may be prompted for your login password.
Step 7
Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from the domain "get.adobe.com". Don't click a link from any other website, including this one, because you can't trust links. They may be an attempt to trick you into installing malware masquerading as Flash. Type the address into the browser window. Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
Step 8
If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked
Allow (or Enable) plug-ins
Then click the button marked
Manage Website Settings...
if present and make sure that the website is not blocked for Flash.
Step 9
Select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them. -

Hi, Your Flash files are all correct for IE. I'm sure they are also for FF, since Flash Player is working.
What you can try is something that has helped other users and maybe this will help you with IE. Try turning off the User Account Control and then Restart your computer and see if IE is working now.
Open User Accounts by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking User Accounts and Family Safety.
and then clicking User Accounts. Click Turn User Account Control on or off.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Select the Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer check box to turn on UAC, or clear the check box to turn
off UAC, then click OK.
Let me know whenever you can, no hurry.
Thanks,

Adobe flash player does not work on Firefox, but does on Wind Exp
I have reinstalled Adobe Flash Player many times and also reinstalled Firefox, but flash player does not work. Every tim I try to play something it tells me to install the latest version of flash player. Flash player works fine on on Windows Explorer
IE uses a different version of Flash (ActiveX) than other browsers use, you need to install the Plugin version of Flash.
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />
[http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop.<br />
2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
{XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del = Processes tab}
3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop. -
Adobe Flash Player does not work in Internet Explorer 10 on Microsoft Windows 8
I understand that Google Chrome and IE10 have their own automatic update system, however, any site requiring me to use adobe flash player to view videos does not work no matter what I try. I have:
Used the desktop version of IE versus that Start version and both provide me with the same message.
Tried uninstalling and then reinstalling but I receive an error message stating that Flash player is already installed and I know that it is not because I have unistalled it. I received this message: Installer encountered an error: 0x80248000
I even used Ccleaner to hopefully remove any files that were left behind.
I have gone to Tools, then compatibility settings, unchecked automatic update list from Microsoft. there are no websites on that list t remove.
I have double-checked that the flash player add-on is enabled.
I have also checked security settings and enabled Scripting for Java
I have also made sure that I disabled ActiveXFiltering.
Basically, I have tried to use Adobe's websites to figure out the issue at the following link: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html#main-pars_header _1
None of the tips fixed my issue.
I have Windows 8, recently upgraded from Windows 7. I have a 64-bit machine, when I tried, just in case I was wrong, to install 32-bit, I receive an error. I would greatly appreciate any help anyone may provide. Is there a customer service number by any chance for software we have not paid for but instead it comes with our computers? I really need to be able to use discussions and watch Teachertube, youtube, and other videos to complete grad schools assignments.
Please help me!
IIt sounds like you might have additional software on your system that is interfering with Flash Player. You mentioned that this is happening for both Chrome and Internet Explorer, correct? I've got a similar system (Win 8 upgraded from 7, 64bit) and I've never had any problems.
I'd recommend trying to temporarily disable any security, antivirus, firewall software that you have running. You might also want to try starting in Safe Mode with Networking enabled (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode) to see if Flash works once all utilities and services have been disabled.
Finally, do either of these links play video back?

Adobe Flash Player Will Not Work with Safari Mac OS 10.9.2
I have tried numerous times to install Adobe Flash Player for Mac OS 10.9 and get Plug-in error when I try to run it. Before the suggested update, Flash Player ran fine. I would not have tried the update except the files on the web site that I am usinf had a symnbol statiing that the later version of Flash Player was required for it to run.
I did what Adobe suggested and removed the plug-in and then reinstalled it. Still does not work. When is Adobe going to fix it? I think it was not well researched before the release, and it definately has compatibility issues with Mac OS 10.9 Mavericks
Thanks,
FredHi Mike M,
Thanks for the quick response. It worked OK after I did this, and I alerted other users in my MUG just in case they have a similar aged Macs. I hope that the fix for this will be automatic in the next update.

Adobe Flash Player does not work with Safari. What can I do?
Hi,
I have a MacBook Pro, Retina, 15 inch, late 2013, 2 GHz Intel Core i7, using OS X 10.9.4. I have installed Adobe Flash Player. In my System Preference, in the advanced settings, it is set to install updates also tells me that I have the NPAPI Plug-in (version 14.0.0.145) installed but not the PPAPI Plug-in. Is this the reason why it does not work with Safari (keeps telling me to download the app, which I did but still does not work)? Is there any way I could fix the problem? Please, help.

Adobe Flash Player, will not work. Crashes EVERYTIME.
I'm not a huge computer person, so this explanation will suck:
Okay, I have a Toshiba laptop, OS is Windows and I use Mozilla Firefox as my browser.
About 3 days ago, I opened Youtube and tried to play a video, and it said I need to update Adobe. I updated it to version 10.3.183.7.
Now videos/games/moving pictures works. It just says, "Adobe Flash Player failed.".
I've tried it on Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer, and nothing works.
I'm constantly on Youtube, but this is a huge disappointment. I've always used Adobe Flash Player, and it has always worked, but now it isn't.
Before you go and start asking/telling me very technical things, please be aware I will have not a clue what you are saying.
Thanks for reading.Would you mind opening a new bug on this issue over at bugbase.adobe.com? Here's a post that describes the information we'll need and instructions for generating a crash log:
How to report a crash with Flash Player

Flash Player Update Not Working
For the last several days, I have been pulling my hair with ever increasing frustration as to why this stupid FlashPlayer update won't work.
I am running a new Asus laptop with Windows 7, 64-bit, Intel i5 processor, and I use both IE and Firefox.
My computer work perfectly, exactly as a new one should. Then one day, I went to YouTube, and it said I needed to update my software. I clicked the link, it took me to the Adobe website to update FlashPlayer, I downloaded it per instructions which are not new to me. And it didn't work. So I went back to the Adobe site and started trouble shooting. I've uninstalled the current FlashPlayer software from my computer and tried reinstalling. I've tried doing this and then rebooting my computer. I've tried downloading Adobe's uninstall software, downloading Flash again, then rebooting. I've tried disablling my internet security settings and turning off my anti-virus. I tried using IE as my browser. I tried using Firefox. I tried going through the plug-in update utility that Firefox offers. I've tried multiple combinations of all of the above. I even tried calling the Asus tech support to see if there was something on their end. The CSR and I quickly exhausted any further trouble shooting avenues she could think of. I have never had such a problem with this software on other computers and laptops I've owned and used. My brother's laptop installed the update just fine, and he can use video on the internet.
*bashing face on keyboard*
I am not a noob. When the limit of skills at my level of computer savvy is reached, there is something ridiculoulsy wrong on the software provider's end, and I am beyond annoyed. I did not choose for Adobe to have such a monopoly on internet video and imaging. If FlashPlayer doesn't work, there's almost no point to using the internet at all. Yet in order to get help over the phone to try and resolve this issue, I'm supposed to pay Adobe $40?!?! This is an outrage! I realize use of the internet is not the most important thing in life, but it is a large part of life in this culture and time period regardless, and I am very inconvenienced. I also feel angry about this because I feel like I'm being bullied. $40 for tech support? For a program that I am forced to use in order to access the internet properly? Ridiculous.
It is my belief at this point that there is an error or bug in this new version of Flash. I have never had any problems with this software before, and there's no reason why a practically brand new computer should have any trouble using it. I've tried every trick I can think of to get FlashPlayer to work. I challenge someone from Adobe to make me look like an idiot. Please. Humilliate me and tell me there's yet something simple that I'm not seeing. I welcome being told that I am in fact still a noob. Just get this stupid software issue fixed, so I can resume my pathetic introverted existence. Thank you.Okay, here is the WOW64 log.

Flash Player Update Not Working -You Tube videos will not play!!
I have just updated to the latest ver
sion of Flash Player (10.2.152.32) and now You Tube will not play videos - I get sound only. I am using IE8 and Windows XP SP3
Shockwave Flas Object is showing as installed and enabled.
What is wrong? I have uninstalled and reinstalled and all messages show installtion as complete but still no You Tube video although when I have click Adobe test aniamtion links these work OKHi, There is new Technology with the latest Flash Player version that you may need to adjust a Setting.
You may want to go to this site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. Right click on the Flash logo, Settings,
then UNcheck the hardware acceleration in Display Settings.
If that doesn't solve the issue, you may need to update your Video card Driver.
Now one thing I'd like to mention is that the Adobe Flash Player Team are wanting to document issues with the latest Flash Player version and issues such as you and others are having. If you would like to give them feedback directly, it would be appreciated as they are trying to duplicate these in house. The link to that is:

How come adobe flash player does not work on my macbook air
when on yahoo and i select to watch a video it doesn't play and any other website with a similar format.
But i have downloaded and installed adobe flash player but yet i am still experiencing these problems. Is there another way or am i just missing something?
Adobe Flash Player 11 not working on Internet Explorer
Hello, I know this has been a question most people asked but it's not that simple for me
My computer is a Samsung Series 5 Laptop, with Windows 7 Home Premium K 64Bits.
The computer specs are as shown below:
DualCore Processor 2.2Ghz each with a 8 GB RAM. I put up a screenshot of it in the attachments (Sorry it's in Korean)
The problem is the fact that despite having successfully installed Adobe Flash Player, Korean websites do not show the areas where the Flash Players are involved!
I checked where most people look at first: I enabled shockplayer on the addon (Shockwave Flash Object), not to mention disabling Direct X Filtering
THe problems persisted... I checed my Java and it was up to date, not to mention working fine. THe interesting thing is some flash objects are working. THe places where
adobe flash player is involved in www.naver.com or uic.yonsei.ac.kr shows up BLANK!
It works fine in Google Chrome. It even works fine for some websites in IE 9 such as http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/new-fantasyland/ (I just tried this one, it's not a website I go to)
But somehow websites such as http://www.adobe.com/kr/products/flashplayer.html itself doesn't show flash player linked images/videos!
Here's proof of that (note that I right clicked on the blank spot to prove that the space is not meant for blank but for adobe flash as shown in the last option)
If there are more things I should elaborate on, please comment below!
I'm looking forward to a solution to my problems as well as hoping to talk to some really good Computer-Know-Alls
I really need to understand my computer better to avoid such problems T.TOh and just to show how things look like with the problem, it's like this:
And this is what it's supposed to look like:
So yeah, the whole space just turns empty - I can still click on blank spaces and it leads me to the appropriate links (though I have no clue what links I am actually clicking on in IE9, it only shows up for google chrome
I'm looking forward to constructive replies~ Hopefully someone would see this soon -
Adobe Flash Player does not work
Suddenly all web sites using Flash Player no longer work showing the error message that I will have to install the latest Flash Player. I followed instructions in help and I used the uninstaller and resinstalled but it still doesn't work on any web site. It is version 12.0.0.77 for Mac using Safari. Strangely, when following Adobe help, at one point a box is displayed that says
Sorry, Flash Player is either not installed or not enabled.
Please go to step 2.
Step 2 was to install which I did. But the error message still appears. For some reason applications cannot detect the presence and version of Flash Player.
