Adobe Flash Player - upgrading to 11.4 - problems

Hi. I am trying to upgrade to Flash Player 11.4 plug-in for Firefox but everytime I try to run the installer, it gives an error message "Script stopped - object expected" Should I wait for the next upgrade or is there a soloution to this problem.

Cannot download new adobe flash player upgrade

I just tried to download the newest Adobe Flash Player Upgrade by going to the Adobe website. The Adobe Flash Player Installer appeared in my downloads file. But when I double click it I get a Mac warning window opens that says "Can't be opened because it was not downloaded from the Mac App Store." When I go to the Mac App store and search for Adobe Flash Player, it doesn't exist there. How do I get it or is there another way to be able to watch video on the internet especially from sites like you tube and vimeo, but also sometimes on other sites. Do I have to keep the older version indefinitly and risk not getting security updates?

    System Preferences > Security & Privacy
    Unlock the lock, if you have to.
    Allow apps downloaded from:
    Select “Mac App store and identified developers”.
    Quit System Preferences and try.

Reset Password starting from Recovery HD
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

After the latest firefox upgrade and the Adobe Flash Player upgrade, Silverlight, which runs Netflix Instant, is not working... any connection? Thanks!

That is my system info ~ my firewall is open and I have no anti-virus software installed.
On Netfilx, when I click Play on an Instant movie, a screen comes up that tells me there is an upgrade for Silverlight. Click the button, go thru what looks like a full install series of windows, go back to click Play, and the same screen comes up. It has happened for the last 48 hours or so, consistently. I opened Chrome and Safari, had the same result.
A Ustream site I follow, also using a Mac, has been getting kicked off that system all day, getting an error message that references Adobe Flash Player ~ he just upgraded, like I did, and wonders if there is a problem with it ~ got me thinking...

From what I can tell, the problem is not Silverlight, it is the flash plugin (10.3). I uninstalled and went back to FLASH 10.1 and Netflix, flash videos, flash based applications, etc all worked again on my brand new computer. Very unfortunate and frustrating.

Adobe flash player upgrade failure

I dont know why I could not upgrade my adobe flash player to the newest version( Adobe Flash player 11.8.800.94)
Every time I want to install it, it said I have to close down the safari to continue but even if I close it down, it still keep saying I have to close down safari first.

Adobe Flash Player "upgrade" is NOT working/upgrading....

I have : HP laptop, new less than 6 months; Windows 7; IE; and according to my Programs List, I have the 'current version' of Adobe Flash Player installed.......yet, when I try to view a video on youtube, or play a game through Facebook, it shows I need to "upgrade the Flash Player". I have followed the links, all directions step-by-step, to upgrade, install, uninstall and reinstall the Flash Player. I then check the list, it shows I have the most recent version, yet it still doesn't work. VERY FRUSTRATED. Any ideas to what is wrong? Or, is this a current product issue?!? Would appreciate any help!!

ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10.2.159.1 PROBLEM

I'VE BEEN TRYING ALL DAY TO INSTALL AN ADOBE FLASH PLAYER (THE ADOBE FLASH PLAYER I'VE USED FOR MONTHS JUST DISAPPEARED). I HAVE AN ACER ASPIRE, USE WINDOWS 7, 32 BIT AND, WHILE NOT A TECH OF ANY SORT, I CAN CERTAINLY FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS.
AS A STARTING POINT, HOW WOULD A PERSON INSTALL ADOBE FLASH PLAYER ON A LAPTOP WHICH HAS NO SUCH PLAYER?
NOTE: I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING PROMISING ONLINE, AND COME TO A TOTAL STOP AFTER PRESSING THE "DOWNLOAD" BUTTON IN WHICHEVER PROGRAM. Sorry, I could read only the first paragraph you wrote, then my eyes grew very tired and I couldn't continue. It is very hard to read ALL-CAPS postings!
But I understand that you need instructions to reinstall Flash Player; try this
download the FP uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html and save it to disk;
download the FP installer(s) from http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html and save it/them to disk - note that there are two different installers, the ActieX for Internet Explorer, and the plugin for all other browsers;
close all browser instances, then run the downloaded uninstaller, followed by the installer(s).
Now go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ - if you can see the Flash animation (rotating red 'F'), then Flash Player is correctly installed and working.

You can check the version under Apple Menu > System Preferences > Flash Player. Did you quit and restart Safari after the install?

I'm trying to download and install Adobe Flash Player. I uninstalled all versions of Flash Player. I have the Adobe Download manager still loaded and the Adobe Photo Shop and the Adobe Reader still loaded. I use Mozilla Firefox version 3.6.8.
I'm getting an error when trying to download. The error states Adobe Download Manager - The download cannot continue. error parsing voucher. The file is gp.xpi I don't have a fully functional Microsoft Explorer browser. I need technical help downloading Adobe Flash Player. I use XP professional operating system. I have a Dell Dimension 8100. Thank you

Don't use the download manager then, use the direct download link for the plugin installer http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
Close all Firefox windows before you run the installer.

Adobe Flash Player 10.2.153.1 problem

I'm using Internet Explorer 9.
But I download Adobe Flash Player 10.2.153.1, every time I go to a website that uses Adobe it says to download now. but I have already downloaded it. I check my files and of course it shows the Flash Player installed into my computer.
I re-install the program but the same thing happens. Telling me to Install the program first.

Do you have the Shockwave Flash Object in your add-ons, and is it enabled?

HT5655 Feb 2013 Adobe Flash Player Upgrade Install Does not work - metafile issue

I tried uploading the Feb 2013 update without success. Adobe troubleshooting suggested uninstalling existing version of AFP - which I did - still get "Metafile Instalation failed" - now have NO AFP. Adobe says they are aware of the issue and working on it. Any ideas as to how to reupload my old AFP version??

I've been trying to fix this issue with Adobe for 5 days now and no one is coming back to me (tried the terminal cd solution and it doesn't work).
Luigi could you expand on where you were directed to find a solution? Running
sudo ./Install\ Adobe\ Flash\ Player.app/Contents/MacOS/Install\ Adobe\ Flash\ Player
has only given me a "command no found" message.

Adobe Flash player opening outside of firefox problem

Hi, this problem just started today.
Basically when i try to watch any video on youtube, the flash player opens up outside of firefox,just like in the picture here.
It is very anoying and i have no clue how to repare it.
I uninstalled flash player and reinstalled a new one and it didnt change anything.
If anyone has a solution please let me know

HI again i was wrong the problem is persistent. It did not have to do anything with clearing the internet cache.

Adobe flash player upgrade for mac 10.5.8

I can't watch any videos or use pandora, because this version of my macbook can't handle newer versions adobe flashplayer. It's really annoying because a lot of studying I do for school is with videos over the internet. I have the adobe flashplayer 10.3 already on my computer, but all websites requiring flash still dont work.
I ordered the snow leapord 10.6 dvd online, but I won't get it for about 3-4 days. Is there anyting I can do until then to get websites like youtube and pandora to work?
