Adobe Flash Player ver. 11.6.602.168

I recently upgraded to this version and so many things are not working any more:  XP/32 bit (7 years old) and it was working beautifully!)
1.  internet is so slow
2. my itune music "skips"
3. icons on my desktop no longer open with a click(s) - I have to right click and then "open"
4.I cannot 'restore' my settings because the system shuts down prematurely
5. slow slow
6. I do not want the "Google" chrome or tool bar
I want an older version of Adobe Flash Player back on by computer ASAP

  • Adobe Flash Player (Vers. 14.0.0.176) not working in Safari or Firefox on Mac (Mavericks; Vers. 10.9.4). What do I do?!

    Hi all,
This is my first post to the forum. I've been directed here because I'm having issues with video streaming/playback (in particular, YouTube) on the Safari and Firefox browsers on my Mac. First, a little bit of information:
    My computer:
I have a 2012 iMac with a 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 32 GB of memory and a 3TB Apple "Fusion" solid state hard drive. The software version my Mac is currently running is 10.9.4, on the Mavericks OS, as shown in the subject box.
    My Issue:
I've noticed, in the past week or so, that video streaming and playback, on YouTube in particular, are either (a) slow or (b) not loading whatsoever. In YouTube, three things become apparent almost immediately: (1) the video (advert or no advert) simply does not load, with a black screen that turns into a grainy screen after a while with the message "An Error Occurred;" (2) the suggested videos on the side panel (i.e., to the right) do not load properly. The thumbnails of the videos simply do not load; and finally, (3) the comments also appear to experience issues from loading. I've attached screenshots to document this.
N.B. Comments do appear, along with the side panel thumbnails once YouTube has given up on trying to load the video
So, What have I done about it?
Everything I can do, to be honest. I've:
    (1) Checked preferences in Safari (i.e., plugins are installed correctly)
    (2) Cleared Cache in Safari
    (3) Deleted "All Site Data and Settings" in the Flash Player section of my System Preferences
    (4) Uninstalled Adobe Flash Player completely
    (5) Reinstalled Adobe Flash Player
    (6) Contacted Apple
    (7) Checked Preferences in Safari again (i.e., plugins are installed correctly)
    (8) Cleared Cache in Safari again
    (9) Reset Safari
    (10) Deleted "All Site Data and Settings" in the Flash Player section of my System Preferences
    (11) Uninstalled Adobe Flash Player
    (12) Undertook a "Clean Install" of Adobe Flash Player, following instructions
And alas, I'm in the forum! May I also add, that I have also scanned my hard drive for any corruption that may be present, generating a negative result. I just do not know what to do at this stage. I've done everything I have knowledge of in trying to resolve this issue.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Kieran

Just for further confirmation that the installation went through succesfully multiple times:

  • Adobe Flash Player Installed.  Doesn't appear to be recognized by IE9.  Incorrect Browser Showing?

    Good evening all,
This Flash Player issue is giving me fits, so I'm hoping one of you might have experienced this before. Websites visited on this tablet do not recognize Adobe Flash Player. I have installed Adobe Flash Player ver 11.5.502.135 for Internet Explorer. When I go to the following link, http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html I get the following information:
"Flash player is running on your system." The lil' ball is running back and forth.
    Flash player version: 11.5.502.135
    OS: Windows 7 (32-bit)
    Browser: Opera
Well, I'm using Internet Explorer 9. What gives? I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall of Flash player. No luck. ActiveX Filtering is off. Shockwave Flash Object add-on is Enabled. I've ran some updated antivirus and found a bunch of signatures, but I removed right away. (Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I’m about ready to nuke the hard drive and start over.
    Thank you in advance.

    Good Afternoon Sunil,
Thank you for the reply.  Sorry if I wasn't clear on my earlier post.  That is correct, the page was incorrectly detecting the browser as Opera. I was using IE9.  It was very strange.
I corrected it performing a Windows System restore from the previous month.
    Take care.

  • How to get Adobe Flash Player to work?

After downloading Adobe Flash Player ver 10 and installing [3 times] it I still can't get FF to play vids at web locations.
I tried all I know but I need some steps to get this working.

The link I provided on Jan 10th should work to download the correct Plugin version of Flash. Adobe usually supplies the correct version of Flash for the browser being used at the Adobe website; how you got the Plugin version when using IE is beyond me.

  • My Adobe Flash Player no longer runs automatically...can anyone help ?

My Flash Player refuses to run automatically, can anyone help? I'm tired of clicking OK each time I need it as I browse. This only started 2 weeks ago. Before that there were no problems so, I'm embarrassed to say that I must have somehow caused this myself. So far, I've gone to my "plugins" page and made sure everything is set as "enabled". I've gone to my Control Panel >Flash Player, but I don't see any changes I could make their that might help.  I'm not sure what else to do. I have Win XP Home, broswer is Google Chrome, Adobe flash player version 11.6.602.180 installed. I hope someone can help.
The only extension I have enabled is Ad Block.

I think I was just about to send you email about this.  Can you try the following in Chrome:
    1. Type "about:settings" in the address bar
    2. Click the "Show advanced settings..." link at the bottom
    3. Click the "Content settings..." button
    4. Scroll down a bit in the dialog that appears and verify that "Run automatically (recommended)" is selected in the Plug-ins section
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Firefox for Android, Adobe Flash Player, and Samsung KNOX conflict.

    Hello.
I have a Galaxy Note 3. If I go to youtube.com in Firefox, play a video, and click on fullscreen, Firefox will crash and a notification will come up with title "Prevention information" and description "An application has been forced to stop for an unauthorized attempt to access system...". This notification is generated by "Knox Notification Manager", an app that comes preinstalled.
I know this problem is probably not exactly Firefox's fault, however some of other browsers are able to handle the exact same situation without any problem. Can you fix this problem, or is there a configuration that I can do to fix this?
    My system info:
Device: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (T-Mobile)
    OS: Android 4.3
    Adobe Flash Player ver. 11.1.115.81
    Firefox for Android ver. 26.0.1

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.
#Enter ''about:crashes'' in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.

  • Recurrent requests to download latest ver. of Adobe Flash Player

I have Windows 7 Pro 64bit. I have downloaded what is called the latest version of Windows 7 64 bit ver. of ADFP  (Ver. 11.9.900.170) and Adobe says this download minus the Chrome should be 16.4mb. When I download it and it is installed in control panel under the list of programs Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX is shown and the ver. is listed as:
11.9.900.170 but it shows the program to be only 6.00mb. Also on the left side where there should be a red icon for Adobe Flash Player the icon is NOT red but it is a rectangular box black out line and center white. I have gone to "Manage ad ons" and it is enabled there. Still I get daily requests from www.lumosity.com to "Download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player and they will not let me go on with their program until I do so again. This time everything is the same except the icon on the left side of the program is red as it should be. I also get same requests from World of WarGames, they don't stop the game but at the end they suggest downloading the latest version. When I down load the Flash Player why is it not the 16.4mb they say it will be. Why only 6.00mb. What is disabling Adobe Flash Player. I'm using the 64bit version of internet explorer to download it but it seems I'm only getting the 32bit version of Adobe Flash Player. Could that be the problem? What would be a way to fix this? I'm using Internet Explorer 10 and I have both the 64bit and the 32bit versions on my desktop. Please offer some experienced help with this annoying, recurrent problem! Thanks. I've uninstalled and reinstalled several times, but that was no help.

I'm not a tech. I don't work here. I'm a volunteer, as are ALL participants here... with a very limited few exceptions.
The following instructions will be as clear as if I were sitting right next to you holding your hand on the mouse:
Download the Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer), Flash Player Uninstaller and the Shockwave Player Uninstaller
Save them to your Downloads folder - DO NOT RUN THEM.
    Close your browser.
    Make SURE it's closed.
The icon should NOT have a frame around it.
Open your Downloads folder and run the Shockwave uninstaller.
    Follow the prompts.
    until it finishes.
Then, run the Flash Player uninstaller.
Once it finishes, open Windows Explorer to the "Computer" window.
Double click the C drive to open it. Open the Windows folder.
    Open the System32 folder.
    Open the Macromed folder.
    Delete the Flash folder.
    Press (Shift+Delete) and click Yes.
Navigate back to the Windows folder. Double click the SysWOW64 folder.
    Open the Macromed folder.
    Delete the Flash folder.
    Press (Shift+Delete) and click Yes.
For the next part, you need to have Hidden Files and Folders visible.
    Click Tools>Folder Options
(If your Windows DON'T have a menu bar click Organize>Layout>Menubar)
In the Folder Options, click the View tab, and check the button for "Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives"
    Click Apply
    Click OK
In Windows Explorer, open your [user] folder
    Double click the AppData folder.
    Double click the Roaming folder.
    Double click the Adobe folder.
    Delete the Flash Player folder.
    Press (Shift+Delete) and click Yes.
Navigate back to the Roaming folder and open the Macromedia folder.
    Delete the Flash Player folder.
    Press (Shift+Delete) and click Yes.
Close the window and click Start>Run (Press thw Windows key+R if your Start menu doesn't have "Run" in it.
    Type "regedit" and click OK
In the Registry Editor, goto HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software and delete the Macromedia folder.
Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE and delete the Macromedia folder there.
Close the Registry Editor and then run the Flash Player installer and the Shockwave installer for Internet Explorer/AOL from here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp
