Adobe Flash Player Warning
When I start up my computer I occasionally get an Adobe warning box on screen stating that movie script is itnerfering and suggests that it could cause problems with my computer, options are to abort the script yes/no. Please advise what causes this and how to rectify it. Please note I do not download and watch or live stream movies>
One word: "Malware"
Flash Player will not produce such a warning on boot up. A "script" warning is referencing a javascript on a page that is unresponsive. Usually it's bad code in the page.

When I get this false error message and click on the link, Adobe tells me my current Flash Player version is 11.9.900.170 and "Your system is: Windows 64-bit, English". I actually have an iMac with OSX 10.7.5, and Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.170 already installed. I've reinstalled, deleted Flash Player completely and reinstalled several times and yet I continue getting these false "Windows 64-bit" update needed error messages for my iMac computer. How do I stop these false error messages?
I'm having a similar issue on both my Macbook Pro (OSX Mavericks), my iPhone 5S (iOS 7.0.4) and my wife's iPhone 5C (iOS 7.0.4). It happens on almost every site I viisit and when I launch some apps. I've cleared histories, caches and turned Javascript on/off. Also, get the "warning" when I use Chrome for iOS. I've added an image below of what it looks like on my phone. I'm attempting a factory restore on my 5S. I'll let you know if it helps.

Curious Warning Message From Adobe Flash Player
Hello everyone.
I have been getting a warning message that pops up every 3 or 4 days for the past couple of weeks. The message reads as follows:
"Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. The following local application on your computer or network:
(object)
is trying to communicate with this internet-enabled location:
"mail.yimg.com"
To let this application communicate with the internet, click settings.
You must restart this application after changing your settings.
I am then presented with two boxes, one that says OK and one that says SETTINGS.
I have the latest Flash Player for 10.6.7 and have been clicking on OK and have never clicked on Settings because I have no idea what the object is ( the so-called local application is not listed or described) and I don't know what is meant by "this internet enabled location called ,ail.yimg.com. I don't click Settings because I'm concerned that I may be allowing an unauthorized communication with my computer.
Any information or recommendation to explore this problem will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. RichI am familiar with the Adobe Flash Player Settings Manager where I have always limited the amount of space for sites to store information on my computer. In all cases also, I have checked the box to "always ask" before allowing sites to communicate with my computer. Most of these settings seem to involve the camera and microphone both of which I never use.
The document you sent me is very helpful but my problem is that the local application on my computer that is apparently trying to communicate to Yahoo Messenger is not named. It is simply called "object." The fact that it is unidentified makes me want to just click OK and not proceed any further to change any settings. I have added a picture of it to this e-mail. No one here uses Yahoo Messenger or Yahoo Mail. -

If you are talking about Safari on the iPad, there is no version of Adobe Flash for iOS and there never has been. Clear Safari, close the app and reset the iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If you are talking about Safari on your Mac, you are in the wrong forum. But I would still clear the cache, quit Safari and restart the Mac. -

Vulnerable applications warning for Adobe Flash Player 9.0 r115?
I have Kaspersky Internet Security and in the Systems and Third Party Vulnerability Scan it tells me that Adobe Flash Player 9.0 r115 is a vulnerable application. I updated my flash player about half a dozen times and it still gives me this warning. I then uninstalled all of my Adobe programs and reinstalled flash player and reader and it still gives me this error. Has anybody had this happen to them? Does anybody know what you're suppose to do to fix this problem?
Thank you.That version of Flash Player is indeed out of date and insecure. I would recommend, if at all possible, updating to the latest version at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer. You can also try doing a clean install, but please note that some other application might have installed this outdated version of Flash (HP drivers sometimes do this.)

IE security warning- asks to install Adobe Flash Player
We encountered this problem when running SWF created with Flash CS6 on IE8. It will show a blank page with a smaller icon at the top left corner first. Then, a dialog box "Internet Explorer - Security Warning" shows up, Do you want to install this software? Name: Adobe Flash Player. with options "Install" and "Don't Install" click don't install will display the SWF right after. Install does not do much as it prompts the same message when you come back again.
The file works fine if running from Chrome. I didn't see this message using CS6 when I published the file last time (~ 3 months ago).I tried a different way and it prompts: This content requires Flash player 11.7. We have no control over our users' player version and our users can't upgrade player on their own. What are the features in Flash CS6 requires 11.7 so that I can remove it?

Adobe Flash Player 12.0.0.77 not playing in Mozilla Firefox 27.0.1
I am using Windows XP. I downloaded Adobe Flash Player 12.0.0.7 and installed it on my computer. I opened Mozilla Firefox 27.0.1 and went to youtube to watch videos. I clicked on a video to watch and received the following information:

I opened Control Panel on my computer and saw that Adobe Flash Player is indeed installed. So why is Firefox not recognizing it?I opened Firefox, clicked on "Tools", clicked "Add-ons", and noticed there is a "Shockwave Flash 12.0.0.77" listed. Is that the adobe flash player?

It is set on "never activate" - because when I have it on, I get a computer page stall from time to time, and a little window pops up saying, "Warning: Unresponsive script, A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete."

BTW, "script" errors are not the same as Unresponsive plug-in errors.
The former are caused by javascript, ASP script or PHP scripts (in the page code) malfunctioning or "locking up".

How come adobe flash player does not work on my macbook air
when on yahoo and i select to watch a video it doesn't play and any other website with a similar format.

I have an iMac G5 (20 inch screen) i sight (no intel chip).Leopard OS 10.5.8. Recently I went on Facebook and tried to open a movie site someone had sent me on Facebook andwhen I tried to open the video on Facebook, I was told I had to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player. i tried to do this, but turns out that Facebook is requiring folks to have an intel chip in order to view movies...this is outrageous! Just think of all the folks in the world who have great running pre intel chip Apple computers. I called the Adobe Help line and was told that I really needed to buy a new computer....no thanks. How do I find a way to get a new version of Adobe for Facebook and youtube. I wish Apple could develop a way to have intel chips installed in the older computers. As to Flash Videos: I am in a similar same boat. I cannot watch flash videos on the BBC website or on BBC iPlayer, although all other flash videos (YouTube and FaceBook for example) are fine.
For reasons that passeth all understanding, they work with the PPC version of Firefox, called TenFourFoxG5.app, once you have anabled plug-ins, as it does not natively support Flash.

Now for the intersting bit: TenFourFox, like Firefox, does not support most plug-ins. Unless you are prone to headaches (in which case don't) you can read about that here:

But there is a workaround!
Open TenFourFox and type in the address bar: about:config (no spaces) and click return. This gives you a warning that it might harm the application. Ignore that and click on 'I'll be careful, I promise' and you get the config file that you can edit - with great care.
Look/search (scroll down) for: tenfourfox.plugins.enabled
Set it to true. (Double click it to toggle it)
Now close TenFourFox, open it again, and Flash will now work, as it now uses the plug-ins that Safari has stored.
I am using Flash 10.1.102.64 in TenFourFox and it works just fine. -
I have a mac book pro and have already downloaded adobe flash player. However when i go to watch a video it says "Blocked Plug In". But my adobe is already up to date. Can someone help me to fix this so i can watch videos?
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 7. Back up all data before making any changes.
Step 1
You might have to log out or reboot before a Flash update takes effect.
Step 2
In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
Close the window. Then select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.
Step 3
If you're only having trouble with YouTube videos, log in to YouTube and load this page. You may see a link with the text "Leave the HTML5 Trial." If so, click that link.
Step 4
If you get a warning of a "blocked" or "outdated" plug-in, then from the menu bar select
▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch the browser.
If the warning persists, triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources
Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open. Inside it, there should be a file named "XProtect.meta.plist". If that file is missing and you know why it's missing, restore it from a backup or copy it from another Mac running the same version of OS X. Otherwise, reinstall OS X.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
Step 5
Open this folder as in Step 4:
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Delete the following item, or anything with a similar name, if present:
Flash Player (failing).plugin
You may be prompted for your login password.
Step 6
Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from the domain "get.adobe.com". Don't click a link from any other website, including this one, because you can't trust links. They may be an attempt to trick you into installing malware masquerading as Flash. Type the address into the browser window. Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
Step 7
If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked
Allow (or Enable) plug-ins
Then click the button marked
Manage Website Settings...
if present and make sure that the website is not blocked for Flash.
Step 8
Select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them. -

How can I lodge a complaint about Adobe Flash Player? When I updated Adobe Flash Player this morning it also installed a McAfee scanning software without any warning or notification. I find this totally unacceptable. But I cannot find any information on the Adobe website that will allow me to lodge my complaint. Which I also find totally unacceptable.
Ho hum.This is a an old complaint. I would have thoughtas much bad karma as Adobe has received would have stopped this practice espcially since it found that many time McAfeee either gets protection signatures wrong or cause more problems than it fixes.
I don't know whether mailto:[email protected] is still effective.
At one time a disgruntled Adobe products user created a FaceBook or twitter page. And many in past have claimed when there complaints got ignored or laughed at by Adobe. They suddenly got action whe airring their complaint on this FaceBook or Twitter page.
There should be a big warning Box stating:
Adobe is about to install a package Called McAfee on your computer. If you do not wish to instal click checkmark here.
Do you wish have Adobe install Products not requested on your computer yes__ or no__ please use a √
