try downloading the offline installer of Flash Player from here, and then run the installer locally on your MacBook Pro.

  • My adobe flash player won't download--gets stuck at 25%

I have a Mac.  I've tried downloading adobe flash player a couple times now.  It installs well, but it always gets stuck at 25% when it downloads.  Then when I try to shut down it tells me I can't because it's installing even though I keep trying to quit the installation.  So then I have to shut my Mac down by using the emergency shut down button.  Please help Adobe!  If you can get back to me ASAP that would be great.

    Hello,
This morning we resolved a problem that prevented Flash Player installations from completing for some of our Macintosh users.
If you encountered this problem, please delete any previously downloaded Flash Player installer and either:
Download the installer again from https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer, OR
Download the stand-alone installer posted at the bottom of the http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html in the ‘Still having problems’ section.
If the behaviour reproduces, please clear the browser's cache and try downloading again.
    Thank you.

Flash player won't install in windows 7
This is what I get when trying to use "FLASH PLAYER HELP", as you can see, my flash player and OS are NOT listed and when asked on left side of screen if "THIS WAS HELPFUL", I clicked NO and could not complete my response.
HOW DO I FIX THIS??? THERE ARE SEVERAL ITEMS THAT REQUIRE FLASH PLAYER & I CANNOT GET IT TO WORK. AFTER DOWNLOADING (AT LEAST4 TIMES) IT SAYS EVERYTIME "INSTALLATION SUCCESSFUL"

Download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header and save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.
If you still have problems, please post the contents of the FlashInstall.log file in

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 reports download, is not in Flash Folder?

I have uninstalled and installed Adobe Flash Player 10.2 on my Windows XP sp3 system using the both the DLM installer and the manual installer.  I have adjusted the firewall and security settings and have determined that no windows are open with Windows Explorer 8, messenger or other possible deterrents.  After each "install / download" Flash Player shows up in the Control Panel add / remove programs, but not in the C:\Program Files\Adobe folder, and I am unable to access YOUTUBE files, of course getting the warning that I need to update my Adobe Flash Player.  I have Adobe 10.2 installed on 3 other computers, but have not, so far, been able to get it to run on this one.  If I go to IE Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Manage Add Ons there is not a mention of Flash Player there.  I would really like to be able to use Flash on this computer.  Please advise.  GB

The standard Flash Player is a browser add-on, not a standalone Player, and is therefore not installed in Program Files.
What do you need Flash Player for?
Can you see the Flash animation (rotating red 'F') http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?
What files do you have in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash ?
Since you cannot see the Shockwave Flash object in the IE add-ons, do you perhaps have the "kill-bit" for Flash Player set?  (See http://forums.adobe.com/message/3432049#3432049)

  • Adobe Flash Player won't stop asking to install.

I'm using windows 7 and Mozilla firefox, but this problem happens even when I don't have a browser window opened.
Adobe flash player won't quit asking to install. probably once a minute i receive a (UAC)request to allow adobe flash player to install. Even with no browser windows open. EVEN WHILE I AM WATCHING FLASH VIDEOS, it is telling me to install it. It literally interupts everything I am doing, even when I'm not browsing the internet.
I currently have it completely uninstalled as far as i know. I used the adobe uninstaller available on this site. So there's no flash player or shockwave player installed on my computer... still receiving this request every minute or so.
    It's ridiculous.
I tried running a virus scan, because thats the only thing I could possibly think of that would be this irritating, and it says that my computer is clean.
Is there some secret files somewhere I need to delete? I'm thinking of deleting the activex install files. I keep getting "The ActiveX Installer (AxInstSV) service entered the running state." in my event viewer, which seem to coincide with this issue.

I finally got it fixed but I'm not sure what fixed it.
    here's everything i did:
    Uninstalled all browsers.
    Uninstalled all adobe stuff.
    Uninstalled Java
Deleted anything left behind (i left browser stuff though because i wanted it to save my passwords and such).
disabled activexsvinst or something service. The activex installer service.
Used CC cleaner to clean up registry
Made sure to delete almost everything in user/local/temp folders and such (where adobe and java store stuff usually. I dunno might want to be careful doing this cause i dont know if there's important files there. Also some folders won't let you delete it but that just means you have to go inside the folder and select all then delete. The only file that should be in one of thosetemp folders is like fxsapidebug or something, in my opinion.)
    rebooted
    ran CC cleaner again.
    rebooted
not sure if this helped but i also used HIJACKTHIS and uninstalled some browser helpers that didnt get deleted. In particular there was an adobe one i think. Cant really remember tho. Now that i look at hijackthis again, it couldn't have been this because the browsers helper stuff is still there.
I also ran about 500000000 virus scans with multiple scanning programs and none of them detected anything.
I've reinstalled Mozilla and flash and haven't had any problems since.
Hope this helps anybody else with the same problem.

  • Flash Player won't  run. Windows 7, IE9, Firefox 16.01

Flash Player won't  run. Windows 7, IE9, Firefox 16.01. I use the flash player uninstaller, make sure there are no flash player sub-folders reinstall current version, says installed .. no "video" no box, no info. redone several times both in Firefox and IE

Did you install both the ActiveX (for Internet Explorer) and plugin (for Firefox)?  And both browsers show the same problem?
    On Internet Explorer
is Shockwave Flash object enabled (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/885448)?
    is ActiveX Filtering disabled (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968)?

  • Every restart of PC Adobe Flash Player won't start??

    Hi ALL,
My Adobe Flash Player (AFP) latest Version for Windows always won't play whenever I restart my PC Windows-7 64bit and IE9 browser. It don't show Adobe Flash in Find Adobe Flash version page.  Everyday I have to uninstalled and reinstalled AFP many couple of times and I cannot restore back to my previous good PC date because I've installed many software application and I don't like to do all over again.
Hoping someone can help me troubleshoot this Adobe Flash player problem for I cannot let my PC always ON. My advance THANKS to the very kind person!

Thank you Chris for helping me but it didn't work and I followed everything to the letter and video instruction.
Just after reboot or restarted PC and I check with Adobe Find Version and the gray box is empty. I also check with IE Manage Add-ons and Adobe Shockwave Flash Object was still there and ENABLE. Actual testing of a .swf file and only white page appears with a small blue cycle and slash at upper left corner of screen.
I hope you can diagnose my real problem because I could see all 5 files are still intact in Windows/System32/Macromed/flash and the only missing is Adobe Flash Player for my Incredimail which are missing in Program files (x86)/Incredimail. YES, IncrediMail also needs this Player to function well.
    Please help me again,
    Rino368

Mozilla is currently developing an open standards-based Flash renderer called Shumway.
    https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Projects/Shumway
Available as an extension [http://mozilla.github.io/shumway/extension/firefox/shumway.xpi here]. ''< click to launch the add-on installer.''
''It seems to work fine on YouTube videos in the Firefox 31 release version, although it is somewhat CPU intensive.''
And also available in the Nightly development versions.
    http://nightly.mozilla.org/
Feel free to try it out, but make sure you install it into its' own Program Files folderset and make sure you create a unique Profile for use only with Nightly. If the same Profile is used with both Release and pre-release versions problems sometimes arise after switching back and forth between different versions of Firefox. Basically, Nightly is like 18 weeks ''(at a minimum)'' removed from becoming a release version, but some projects stay on Nightly for a longer time as they are being developed. That happens to provide as many user / testers as possible, by not resorting to a separate development trunk version.
