Adobe flash plugin is making my firefox crash
At the Beginning of the month, my FF started acting weird. After disabling DEP (which caused a whole lot of other problems) my FF started runing for about one day. After about a week of playing with it, I narrowed my problem to flash player. If I disable it, everything works fine, but i like watching videos. I currently have norton and i don't know what to do! help!
Very odd issue indeed. [[Managing the Flash plugin]] click this link and read threw how to uninstall it and reinstall.
You could also try new [[Profiles]] to see if something is corrupting the plug-ins report.

Adobe flash plugin disappeared from my firefox and I cannot re-download it
Today at approx. noon, I was on youtube and every video said to download Adobe Flash Player plugin. I tried reinstalling Adobe Flash Player and installed the 8.0 beta firefox browser and it still wont reinstall or show it exists as a plugin
'''<u>Adobe Flash</u>'''
See if the following instructions help.
There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash:
*an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only
*a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox
*On a Windows system, you should always update both individually.
'''''You do not appear to have the Plugin version for Firefox installed. ''''' If you did, in Add-ons > Plugins you would see "Shockwave Flash ''(version)''".
'''''<u>Install or update Adobe Flash</u>'''''<br />
#'''Using Firefox''', go to the following direct download link and SAVE the download to your desktop so you can find it later: http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe
#When the download is finished, close Firefox (File > Exit '''''OR''''' Firefox button > Exit)
#Click or double-click on the file you just saved to your desktop
#*In the installation window that appears, click the box to the left of "I have read and...." to place a check mark in the box
#*The "Install" button in the lower right corner will now be highlighted, click it.
#*The installation is quick.
#Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
#Direct link ActiveX version for IE '''''only''''': http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe
'''<u>Firefox 8 beta</u>'''
You will remain on the beta update channel and will always receive the latest beta updates unless you install the '''''Release''''' version (currently) Firefox 7.0.1
*Download Firefox 7.0.1: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
*Installing Firefox: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Installing+Firefox
'''''Question:''''' Did you install over the top of Firefox 7?

I have Windows Vista. I use Firefox latest version. I just checked and all the plugins are up-to-date. I got a crash report and that was when I first had to update a couple of plugins. After doing that it still gives me the same message. I even deleted Java and re-installed it. What can I do to now? It was only crashing on one game on Facebook now it crashes on 3 games and getting worse.
Hi alvar24,
Please follow the steps mentioned in Error U44M1I210 | Install updates.

Why does the adobe flash plugin crash whenever I try to view a video file?
When attempting to view video files, except youtube, the Adobe Flash plugin always (this is consistent) crashes. I have sent numerous crash reports. I have since the problem first occurred updated firefox at least twice and Adobe Flash has been updated the same number of times. I have not always had this problem, but now it is recurring. Note: the plugin does not crash if I use IE.
hi WDWPhishFan,
Have you looked at [[The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed]] and [[Opening PDF files within Firefox]]?
The first article has a lot of good troubleshooting steps that might help. The second article actual lists a couple of plugins that can be used for opening PDF files. I'd give both of them a try just in case.
Hopefully this helps! -
The Adobe Flash plugin keeps crashing on Firefox 12.0
The Adobe Flash plugin keeps crashing on Firefox 12.0, and my Plugin Check link in Addons Manager directs to https://www.mozilla.com/en/404 .
Is this a hack attempt? Is Firefox 3.6 safer than the release channel?Thankss, but it sounds a bit complicated for me. Maybe I can just reinstall FF?
~And would switching back to FF 3.6 (or whatever the latest Official release is), rather than being on the new Release Channel be safer than FF 12? -
FireFox opens & Adobe Flash Plugin crashes in a WOT "automatic" download.
WOT “automatically downloads” on a separate tab every time I start FireFox. Almost every time I start FireFox the Adobe Flash Plugin crashes in the WOT automatic download and ties up my PC. The problem does not occur with Internet-Explorer which I seldom use.
1- I removed WOT and re-installed it, but it continued the same.
2- I reinstalled the Adobe Flash Plugin which I always keep up to date.
3- Please work this out.
4- Why must WOT automatically download on a separate tab every time I start FireFox? It is very annoying.

Adobe Flash Plugin Crash in Firefox and IE
About a week ago my firefox and internet explorer browsers haven't been able to play any flash movies. For example, I go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flash.html and click play on the main video section that pops up and the adobe flash plugin has crashed screen appears.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled flash to the newest version and back to version 10.3 as well and both of these things did not fix the problem.
Please let me know if you need any other info to help fix the problem. I appreciate the help!

Hello,
I'm experiencing some issues with Firefox 16.0.1 which I had also experienced with Firefox 15.0.1.
On numerous occasions Firefox has crashed while attempting to access a website link contained in an AOL e-mail message.
Unrelated to that issue, Firefox has hung up frequently with associated unresponsive script warnings and occasionally with the Adobe Flash Plugin crashing. Some of the unresponsive script warnings are:

I've reset Firefox and disabled all the plugins and yet these problems persist.
What are those script warnings actually telling me and are there any recommendations on how to resolve these issues?
Thank you,
MikeYou can check for problems caused by recent Flash updates and try these:
*disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
*disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
*disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash#Troubleshooting
*https://support.mozilla.org/kb/flash-113-doesnt-load-video-firefox -
Every time I go on YouTube, it comes up with: 'adobe flash plugin has crashed'. I have tried refreshing and restarting my laptop, I have also got all the latest flash and Firefox, but it still won't work.
I'd start with disabling Hardware Acceleration, as described in the video troubleshooting guide below:
Video playback issues
If that solves the problem, make sure that your graphics drivers are current.
If it *still* happens with current drivers, please give us detailed information on the graphics card and driver, so that we can disable hardware acceleration on this configuration and start a conversation with the appropriate vendor.
The best way to get this information is to do the following (on Windows):
Open a command prompt
Type: dxdiag
Hit Enter
This should launch the DirectX Diagnostic Tool
Click Save All Information (or whatever that save button says).
Paste the contents into a reply here, or you can click Use Advanced Editor in the upper right of the reply window, and then attach the file using the link at the bottom right of the reply window. -

How to stop Adobe Flash plugin from repeatedly crashing Firefox?
How to stop Adobe Flash plugin from repeatedly crashing Firefox?
yeah, having the same problem.
Hulu is working on my internet explorer 8, tho... Interesting thing is that it detected I didn't have the 10.1 version of adobe flash player even though I just downloaded that on firefox. So MAYBE the problem is between firefox and adobe. Just a guess -
Firefox crashes: "Adobe Flash Plugin has Crashed" (in safemode)
In Gmail / compose / attach a file (about 11 Megs)
about 3/4 of file is uploaded when a bar opens at the top with error message. "Adobe Flash Plugin has crashed" ... click to reload the page (reload never works & "attach file" button is dead)You can also set the pref dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs to -1 to disable the timeout.

Happens when going to print.coupons.com. I click the "learn more" button on the message that the plugin has crashed, and I get sent to the Adobe Flash plugin crash info page on Firefox. They say just to reload the page. There is a button for this. I click it and the page tries to reload for 5 minutes before freezing.

Adobe flash plugin crashes when I open Frontierville in Facebook
9 out of ten times that I open Frontierville in Facebook I get an error that says "Adobe Flash plugin has crashed". I have reinstalled the plugin numerous times. I cleared my cache. Finaly, after 2 days of this I uninstalled and reinstalled both Firefox and Adobe Flash. Still the same problem. This is getting ridiculous, what can I do?

http://CPAddict, know that it is not recommended to downgrade for Firefox 3.6.3, since Firefox 3.6.4 includes security fixes from previous versions. You'll probably find version 3.5.10 to be the best solution, if you want to downgrade, as it contains all the latest security fixes, but doesn't have plugin isolation.

the adobe flash plugin crashes regularly, especially since the last adobe flash update. Mozilla firefox is up to date. I am invited to send a crash report to Mozilla by clicking on the grey icon to send crash report but it will not send! when I click on it to send nothing happens!
