Adobe Flash problem

When I try to enter a number into a flash program, it displays as a different number (i.e. when I type 1 it displays as 5). But when I try the flash program while I am in safe mode, it works fine. How do I find out what program is interfering with adobe flash?

I don't find anything wrong with the advice they gave. Sometimes when you update from one version of some software to another, the computer may have some file in use. A file being in use could prevent the file from being removed or updated properly from the system when updating. That's why we're told to close all browsers, but once in a while some stubborn process may be holding on to some files.
I would grab the installer, close all browsers, reboot, uninstall Flash, and then re-install it, just to make sure you had no stray files. One other recommendation I can make is to use the Disk Utility to do a "Repair Permissions" on your hard drive. Despite the "every other site" argument you give, you do want that Amazon web site to work too, right? It's probably just barely 10 minutes of your time, but it's your call.

Adobe flash problem installing to mac 10.5

I was notified that i needed to update my adobe flash player today and I have a Mac 10.5.8 system. It won't let me install after downloading. I have tried many of the archived ones and I get the error about "power pc" so I click to install the "power pc" version and it wont do it either. I have gone through all the trouble shooting and nothing works.
I am very disappointed I can't view videos, is there any other option besides adobe flash player, or has anyone figured out the problem?

Adobe Flash Suddenly comes on when I am writing a Message on a 123greetings card & suddenly Adobe Flash
coming on with an advertisement & completely interferes with my competing my greeting card.
It not only blocks anymore writing, but sends my card into limbo/into space with complete loss of it. It does this sometimes in the middle & often when I often when I have it almost ready to send... it completely knocks my card to my wife off me off & it disappears suddenly.
AND THEN, I have to start Al Over Again!
Sometimes it does this over & over until I quit writing & just finally give up!
WHAT can I DO?
I even finally tried UNINSTALLING the Adobe Flash, but it wouldn't but I couldn't even find where I could do that.
WHAT can I do to Fix this Problem???

Snow leopard and adobe flash problem

I can get the webcam from national geographic:

on my old imac G5 running leopard and my new imac running snow leopard using FIREFOX but NOT SAFARI. There is just a blank area where the webcam should be. I loaded the latest adobe flash 10 download but it still DOES NOT WORK. I don't know if this is a new SAFARI problem or SNOW LEOPARD problem. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.

are you able to play any videos posted in youtube?if you do. Then its not an SL problem. I tried the link that you posted and indeed it does not play. but i have a lot of websites that requires flash:

if its a problem with Snow leopard then I wouldn't be able to browse these websites. Isolate it one by one. It may be a content issue. and NOT SL nor FlashPlayer
Tried it on firefox 3.5 and it works there but not safari. It maybe because the content is not compatible with Safari.

My Website Problem
my problem is after downloading flash, i can use it in Chrome but are unable to use it with IE.
I have used adobe flash guide line to trouble shoot but without success. I tried to play a video on my [link removed] with iE, but can't.
but if i play video on my website [link removed] it was able to view the video?
anyway, i stop using IE for all media requiring flash.

There are 2 versions of the Adobe flash Player, Firefox and IE use different versions. Your list of plugins does not include the version of Flash used by Firefox. To install the version of Adobe Flash used by Firefox, visit the following link using Firefox, it will then download the Adobe Flash setup file which you can run to install it - http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer

Do I need to drop Mozilla since they can't seem to solve the Adobe Flash problem?

I have followed every step suggested to fix Adobe Flash crashing problem. Is the real solution to just drop Mozilla and switch to Chrome? Seem Adobe Flash works just fine there...

Major adobe flash problems

Windows Vista 64 bit system. SP2 I have DSL 6.0
I have the current version of the flash player installed. On the adobe website it tells me its successfully installed. I can watch youtube videos. On websites like BBC News etc I cannot listen to or view adobe flash enabled stories/archived radio football reports etc. FFox is set for private browsing with cookies and 3rd party cookies enabled. I used to be able to see flash player material until very recently. This flash player problem now also occurs in Safari and IE 8. I have looked extensively online and there is NOTHING that explains how to rectify this problem.

If the problem is also present in other browsers, it's very likely to be a problem with Flash itself, and not with Firefox. Please contact Adobe for support.

I'm trying to run a PC program (NextGen, an EMR) which I was able to do wi my other Macs. Am I missing a client application. When I try to download apps. (Java and others), it says Safar cannot download this.

There is no way to download anything onto an iPad - the only way is through iTunes and the store. if the programme is not in the store, it cannot work on the iPad.

Correct - the press has been going on about the iPhone & iPad not having Flash for about two years now. It will never have it - there are many threads explaining the reasons here in the forums. Just use the search facility top righ for 'flash'.
I am afraid you will never be able to use that site on the iPad unless they move to an open standard, along with Youtube, Facebook, Hulu etc.

Upgrade to Yosemite has caused Adobe Flash problems

I keep getting a message that Adobe Flash Player needs to update but when I try to download I get another message that the version I have is 15.0.0.152 which is the newest.

I am running Windows 7 and have been trying to install the latest version of adobe flash. 10.45.2 (or something along those lines).
It says that the download was complete, and I have restarted my computer many times. It appears to be working in Firefox, but not Internet Explorer. Help? Thanks.

Multiple Adobe Flash Problems

Hi. I'm facing multiple Flash-related problems for quite some time.
Troubles
1. No sound in Flash. Be it youtube or any other streaming site.
2. Occasional and quite frequent 100% CPU Usage while using flah content
3. Flash content often goes choppy. Often as slow as 0.5fps.
Solutions Attempted
1. Re-installed OS multiple times.
2. Tried older/newer versions of Flash and browsers.
3. Tried a few general solutions from the web.
4. Played with settings etc.
Specs
AMD Athlon 2400+ 2.0GHz rated @ 2.4GHz. 1.12GB DDR1 RAM. Onboard VIA S3G KM400/KN400 Video Card with 64MB shared memory. 80GB HDD. Windows XP SP2. Firefox 3 [Tried all versions, and other browsers too]. Flash 10 [Also tried Flash 9].
I didn't have the problem an year or two back, and since then, there has been no change in my hardware. Maybe an upgrade, but definitely not a downgrade.

The second link includes steps for developers and then steps for users (not sure why they didn't list the users section first). Skip to the users section and follow those steps.
This will fix many flash errors, however there are still some flash videos that are just broken. You should record the URL of the sites that cause your flash player to crash IE.
Here are my troubleshooting steps for Internet Explorer:
Internet Explorer 7 and 8 both include a "no add-ons mode" which is useful. My suggestion would be to attempt running in "no add-ons mode" and notice whether or not the speed improves. If so, open IE as normal, click tools and then click manage add-ons. Disable Add-ons you don't recognize and don't need or use. I personally don't use search toolbars b/c I can easily type in bing.com and then search. This is usually faster than running a bunch of add-ons anyway. After disabling the add-ons you don't recognize/want/use, look for the column that depicts load time. Anything that takes a long time to load is slowing down your browser, disable it if you can live without it. Finally, any add-ons that you chose not to disable should be updated if available. Check the site that belongs to the vendor listed in the Publisher column of the toolbar for instructions on how to update their product. Many updates require or work better if you uninstall the old version of the product first.
If you still experience crashes and slow loading, you should consider resetting IE. After resetting IE, notice the change in speed. You can then start to install the add-ons you want, but if it slows down again, you should disable the culprit that you just installed.
This is just me personally, but I prefer to run with minimal add-ons. After resetting IE, all i re-install is the latest version of my Firewall/AV suite's browser protection, which truthfully, isn't necessary, but I've not had problems with it.

You've also mentioned that you've re-installed your OS. Have you updated all of your drivers? Many times vendors don't place the latest versions of their drivers on Windows Update, so it may be necessary to go to your PC manufacturer's website to find these, or even directly to the hardware manufacturers sites (which is the method I prefer).

I was making a sprite movie, it was all going so smoothly until I hit scene 5 and that's when flash wouldn't play my movie or export it without crashing the program. It won't even preview or test the movie either, the movie doesn't play at all. what could be the problem?

Adobe Flash Not Useable After Install

I have Windows 7 Home Premium and IE 11. Have been using Jackie Lawson greeting card app for years. Recently, when I try to access a greeting card within this app, it tells me that I need to install Adobe Flash. After I reinstall Adobe Flash, the same thing happens. I have tried installing Adobe Flash many times including with IE not running and with another app that uses Adobe Flash terminated during the install. I have also uninstalled Adobe Flash prior to beginning the process, but nothing seems to work. Here is the last entry from FlashInstall.log:

I am the original poster. Does any one have any idea what I should do next? BTW - this is an Adobe Flash problem: Adobe Flash says its installation has completed, but when the Adobe checker tests for it, it says Adobe Flash is not installed on my PC???

Adobe Flash CS5 has encountered a problem and needs to close

Hi,
I have two laptops. I have installed Adobe Flash CS5 in my first laptop (Windows XP). When I start the application, it shows the following message:
"Adobe Flash CS5 has encountered a problem and needs to close"
I have installed the Flash CS5 in my second laptop and it worked fine.
Error signature:

Some applications or services may cause system errors or freezes when running concurrently with Flash. Services are specialized programs that perform functions to support other programs. Before starting Flash, disable other applications, including startup items (items that start automatically), and services.
To disable startup items and services, see "Disable startup items and services (Windows XP)" (TechNote kb404984).
To re-enable startup items and services:
1. Choose Start > Run, type msconfig, and click OK.
2. Choose Normal Startup on the General tab, click OK, and restart the computer.
