Adobe Flash Update Firewall Port

I have a windows 7 computer with the firewall set to block both inbound and outbound traffic.  What program and firewall port(s) do I need to allow outbound traffic for the Flash auto update to work?

when you download something from the Internet something can go wrong with the data
so likely the install packet for flash is corrupt because of something along those lines
to offer a faster Internet service your ISP (internet service provider) keep a cache or local copy of downloaded data so should another user
request the same data all the 1's and 0's need not travel across the internet once more which take more time
the problem is that the cache has no idea that the data got corrupted so until the ISP's cache is cleared over time you may get the same corrupted data should you try to redownload the data
otherwise there is something wrong with adobes site

  • Map Module broken after Adobe Flash update on OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.2

As the topic says, the map module is broken after a recent adobe flash update on OSX 10.8.2.  It's just a grey screen now when I go to it, has anyone else had this issue?

Nope, not an issue with the firewall... I connect to google maps fine on every browser, and here is the IP info...

I am having trouble running videos through Safari but not Google Chrome.  All I get is a black screen.  I have the latest adobe flash update and have enabled plug ins.  any suggestions?

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
    Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select:  Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
    Now try a video.

  • Adobe Flash Update infected Firefox with tons of viruses. Help!

I got with one of those annoying fake Adobe Flash Updates, and unfortunately fell for it and installed it, which has infected Firefox (and Chrome, and IE, for that matter) with tons of viruses that I CANNOT get rid of. I'm on a Windows 7 PC.
    Basically, what they do:
    - Adds "Enhanced Text" everywhere (text is underlined and leads to an ad)
    - Adds unwanted banners on sites
    - Frequent pop-ups
    - Redirects my searches (Google is essentially unusable)
    - Can't log-in to certain sites (eBay)
The last two are really killing me and making the internet very hard to enjoy. I've run Malwarebytes several times (first a quick scan, then a full scan), as well as TDSSKiller. Both detected malware and deleted them, but nothing changed. As per the internet's advice, I've tried disabling all my extensions/plug-ins, but doing that didn't help either - many reference specific extensions that cause these problems, like "CCodec" or "ghostery" but nothing like that appears in my add-ons menu. I went into Programs and Features and uninstalled anything suspicious-looking (which somehow lead to half that list disappearing? All my programs are still there, but for whatever reason that list shortened significantly), and still nothing.
I'm really at a loss here. None of my browsers are working properly and nothing I do seems to help.

Looks like you need to be locked and loaded for a virus to come, or just avoid it.
Can you try those scans in safe mode? Safe mode likely will prevent the malware from running at all during the safe mode session.

  • Download Adobe Flash update on Mac with Yosemite

I am attempting to install the Adobe Flash update on my Mac Book Pro with Yosemite.  On every attempt the download bar stops at 30%.  I have uninstalled Adobe and reinstall it and I get the same result.  I would appreciate help in resolving this issue.

I just downloaded the installer... took all of 3 seconds to download.  It's only a 1.2MB file.
Check to see if it has downloaded it anyways.  Should see something like AdobeFlashPlayerInstaller_17au_Itrosxd_aaa_aih.dmg if it's there, quit Safari from the menu bar, run the installer.
If it's not there, try a different browser.  If that works, it's something in your Safari that's stopping it... could be an extension you have installed or adware.
You can also try a direct download from the Adobe site: (Under still having problems)

  • Adobe flash update fails

Flash update keeps asking me to quit safari. But Safari is not running
Anybody else with the same problem?

I feel your pain and have a solution that should work. I have been battling this for several weeks now, finally gave up, and wrapped up a call with an engineer an hour or so ago. Come to find out, regardless of what the O/S tells you in Activity Monitor about Safari, Dashboard, or both "not" running, these processes are in fact being called.
It seems that, at least in my case, on an up-to-date OS X / Safari combo, and with The Weather Channel widget installed, you will never get the newest Adobe Flash Player update to install. As soon as you remove The Weather Channel widget, the Adobe Flash update process will again work normally.
It makes absolutly no sense, but I and the engineer were able to reproduce the fix on my two systems and reproduce both the issue and the fix on his. I suspect this is a issue with The Weather Channel widget - or at least how it is interacting with the O/S and Safari. I suggest checking for any installed/active widgets that grab/stream any soft of content via the web, removing them, and re-running the Flash updater. I hope this helps.

  • Adobe Flash update only saves file, how to activate it?

After receiving message from Firefox that I should download the Adobe Flash updater, I tried to complete this action. The only popup I get after I select this option is to Save the File or Cancel the action. After I save the file, nothing happens. How do I install Adobe Flash Update 10?

Make sure Firefox is closed. Then double-click on the Flash_setup file that you saved to start the installation.

  • I cannot play videos anymore after last adobe flash update

I cannot play videos anymore after the last adobe flash update. The screen shows "plug-in failure".

What system are you running?  There's a problem with current Flash 13 version. You can download an earlier 12 version here: Archived Flash Player versions

  • Local Adobe flash updater in Windows 7?

Is there an Adobe Flash updater located somewhere in Windows 7 that the Flash player can updated on the pc instead of haivng to go to Adobe.com?

If you have update notifications enabled (at http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager05.htm l), then you will be notified (with the updater) when a new FP version is available.  Change the number of days to your preference.

  • When I installed the most recent Adobe Flash update (MacBook Pro, OSX), all my app tabs and recent sessions were cleared. Is there a fix for this?

This has happened a couple times when I installed updates to Firefox or Flash, but most recently: I am running Firefox 7.0.1 on a MacBook Pro running OS 10.6.8. I installed the Adobe Flash update to Flash 11 and when I restarted Firefox, all my saved tabs were cleared, including the App tabs I'd pinned.

What's the URL of the page?
In the mean time clear the cache and reload the page.

  • Genuine Adobe flash update for mac?

Hi, I've just heard about some kind of virus or malware that poses as an adobe flash update and I noticed excessive prompts to update over the last few weeks so I'm wondering if someone can please confirm whether the update prompt in the attached screenshot is genuine. Thanks!
Well that's just annoying... when I try to attach the 115kb TIFF file i get the error message "[The content type of this image is not allowed.]"
    A little help?

    Hi Mataczar,
It seems that your image attachment is not allowed. Try pasting a different file format.
Also, try asking this question in Flash forum. Somebody there will be able to answer you better.
