Adobe Flashplayer issue

Well, I seem to be like a boom a rang - I keep coming back!  Anyway, I didn't realize that Adobe Flashplayer came with the Froyo 2.2 update!   I went ahead and installed Flashplayer 10.2 after the Froyo update.  Now, if I go to CNN.com (full site) and try to watch one of the news videos, the site is asking me to install Adobe Flashplayer.  If I click on the install button for the flashplayer, the site says my OS will not support the player'.  Froyo 2.2 DOES support the Adobe Flashplayer yet, I can't seem to make the smart(dumb)phone understand that the player is already installed. What is my next step in troubleshooting this problem?  I have already tried a soft reset! Thank you....

Before you do the factory reset I would try the following.
Visit the market
my apps
Find flash and uninstall it
When it is complete ask the phone to power off
Give the phone a minute once the screen goes black
Power on the phone
Visit the market
Search for flash
Select adobe flash player 11
Update flash it should update to v11 not v10
Once it is installed open your browser
menu
select more
select settings
enable plug-ins
select always on (as suggest by smokie11)
Now you don't have to do this it is my own habit, but I usually shut down the phone after installing a new app
Visit the page and see if it works...
If it does I suggest changing the enable plug -ins always on to on demand and try again.
This will put a green arrow that shows where the flash is. You click the green arrow and the flash will load and start to play. I prefer this method to keep my phone from getting overwhelmed when multiple flash items are present.

  • Why Do I have to load adobe Flashplayer each time I switch my computer off and on again this only started about 2 weeks ago is it a firefox problem or an adobe issue????

Why Do I have to load adobe Flashplayer each time I switch my computer off and on again this only started about 2 weeks ago is it a firefox problem or an adobe issue. I am using adobe Flashplayer ver 11

This is a good question. It's possible your Xserver isn't configured for the correct mouse type. Try logging into a command line console (no X11 running). Run /usr/bin/X11/X -configure. It should create an Xorg configuration file in your root directory.
Copy this to /etc/X11/Xorg.conf and try restarting your Xserver. The file it creates might require some tweaking.

  • Adobe Flashplayer has stopped working in IE11

    Hi all,
My IE11 does not want to Allow Adobe Flashplayer on webpages. I get the announcement on webpages that require Flash that "This web page wants to run the following add-on: 'Adobe Flash Player' from 'Microsoft Windows Third Party Application Compon...'."
When I click "Allow" it reloads the page and the message is shown again and the flash still not working. Flash works perfectly in Firefox.
This started to occur after this update had been installed "Security Update for Windows 8.1 x64-based Systems (KB3011780)".
I have checked so that the add-on "Shockwave Flash Object" is enabled in the browser and that the Active X filtering is not "checked".

    Hello Rangvald86,
Do you use the Windows 8.1? Based on my test in my environment, I can’t find the same issue.
Please take the following steps to register the flash.ocx file.
    1. Open the notepad and type regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\macromed\flash\flash.ocx
    2. Save it as flash.bat and run it as an administrator by right clicking on the file and select run as administrator.
    3. Open the website you were unable to open

  • Adobe Flashplayer plug-in freezes Mozilla Firefox whenever activated.

I am entirely unable to ever watch a video in Firefox which requires the Adobe Flashplayer plug-in. In fact, IF I activate the plug-in, Firefox goes into a "not responding" mode, which never ends. I DO, after anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes get a script quit responding message, but regardless of how I answer it, another freeze (or the same one) occurs, and after another interminable wait, I get a repeat message. This happens so many times I've left it to run more than 12 hours, then checked it, to find the message windows stacked. When I cleared the last of 20+ windows at the end of the 12 hours, I immediately got another freeze. The only fix to date has been to kill Firefox, either from the Task Manager, or from the "red X, and kill it now instead of waiting" options. Then, on restart, I have to get quickly to the add-ons page, and re-disable Adobe.
The version of Firefox I'm running is 35.0.1
The version of Adobe I'm running is Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.305.
I ran, over the space of 20 hours, several malware hunters (malware bytes, Microsoft System Security, AVG, AVAST, Spybot S&D, and others I can't remember now) with several issues found and cured. None, though, fixed this.
My machine is an ACER Aspire 5732Z, running Windows 7, 64-bit. This problem cropped up about 2 months or less ago. I'm wondering if it is related to the latest version of Shockwave, and possibly occurred after a(n automatic) update.

  • Why do I have to keep re-loading my Adobe Flashplayer

Hi everyone, when I shut down my computer for the evening after using Adobe Flashplayer to watch various video's, next day when I re-open my computer, I get a message that I need to install Adobe Flashplayer, even though it was working okay on the previous occasion.
Is this a problem with my computer settings, or did the program not download properly. Thsi is becoming a very fustrating issue. Can some one please advise me.

Uninstall it using your Control Panel and then do a "clean install" to replace it with the "offline" Flash Player installer downloadable by clicking one of the following links.
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

  • I have just downloaded firefox 3.6.11 and adobe flashplayer update and adobe reader update. Now I cannot get firefox to open. I have tried removing the program but when I try to do that it says that I need to close firefox - but of course it is not open

I have just downloaded firefox 3.6.11 and adobe flashplayer update and adobe reader update. Now I cannot get firefox to open. I have tried removing Firefox but when I try to do that it says that I need to close firefox - but of course it is not open. I have waited a long time but nothing has happened so I am getting desperate Thanks -- Jerry

    Do a clean (re)install:
    * Download a fresh Firefox copy from http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html and save the file to the desktop.
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version and remove the Firefox program folder before installing that copy of the Firefox installer.
    * Don't remove personal data when uninstalling.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
You can initially skip the step to create a new profile, that may not necessary for this issue.

  • Is it safe to download adobe flashplayer from the internet?T

Is it safe to download adobe flashplayer from the internet. I am new in the Apple environment and my MacBook asks me whether I am sure I want to proceed?
    Thanks,
    T

If you never installed Flash before you should Cancel and download it directly here
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Once it's installed it will perform a update check when you use Flash and a gray window will popup letting you know to update the browser plug-in called Flash.
If you see such a window, you should quit your browser(s) immediatly and if the window remains, proceed with the update.
You will have to quit all open browser(s) anyway to install the update.
You will need to provide your password for the update.
There is a tiny check box on the left that needs to be clicked if the "install" button doesn't seem to work.
If you don't want to update Flash, you should remove it from your computer as older versions are a very high security risk.
It is not unusual, to have what may appear to be, many updates to Flash. It is updated often for security issues. As well as Silverlight.
Bookmark this link to check your browser plug in status.
    https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
Note: The white window with "Adobe Flash Player Install Manager" with the "Deny" and "Allow" buttons you will not see, that's security software called LittleSnitch, that I have installed to warn me of any unusual outgoing Internet connections.

  • Download won't even start (Adobe Flashplayer)

Hello, I am using Macbook Pro - Lion Version 10.8.2. I have tried downloading/uninstalling the previous version and downloading again. But the download for the latest Adobe Flashplayer won't even start. The page just loads but the download does not start. I tried restarting my com and did all that's said in the forum.. But it seem I'm the only one facing this problem. I have made sure that I'm downloading the correct version for it, just FYI. Any one knows how I can solve it? Thanks!

Can you check to see if you have "enable plug-ins" checked in Safari's preferences dialog, under the security tab? If not, enable it and check.
It seems to be a browser specific issue. Try a different browser like chrome or firefox, it should work.
For fixing Safari, lets follow below suggestions :
Run the Flash Player Uninstaller as applicable for your machine(i.e.Windows or MAC) and remove flash player.
    For MAC : http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html
    Restart the machine.
    Download and Re-install Flash Player.
    Restart the browser and check.

  • When does Apple get out of the stoneage and allow Adobe flashplayer ?

I find it extremely stupid that i Can not open a lot of services because Apple does not allow Adobe flashplayer, when Will this be possible ?
Next time i Will find another device that allows Adobe flashplayer if it does not change very soon.

Speaking of the Stone Age, do you live under a rock, or are you just stoned?
THERE IS NO FLASH PLAYER FOR iOS DEVICES.
Adobe was unsuccessful in developing a version of Flash for iOS. Adobe is now abandoning Flash on all mobile device platforms. This is a long dead issue, move on, there is nothing to discuss.
Threats are stupid. Give up your iPad and you will be one of the few without one. Have a care for your derriere on your way out the door.

  • Adobe Flashplayer crashes once any video is started

As of today, I cannot watch any videos because Adobe Flashplayer crashed upon beginning any video.
I had nightly. Uninstalled it and then installed the regular firefox. Didn't help
Started in Safe Mode. Didn't help
    Reinstalled Flash. Didn't help
Installed slightly older version of Flash. Didn't help
Even better yet, whenever I try to access trouble shooting information in firefox, the browser crashes every time without fail. I'll try to make a manual list of plugins and addons for you though.
I'm writing this from Chrome right now. Videos work here

Can you access Troubleshooting Information in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings). More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
Two ways to invoke the Safe Mode dialog:
    (1) If Firefox is running,
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    (2) If Firefox is not running, hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox
In the small dialog that should appear, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)
    Any improvement?
If so, before returning to normal mode, please disable Firefox's use of hardware acceleration for graphics. This feature works with most graphics card drivers, but driver updates sometimes reveal a severe compatibility problem.
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
This change takes effect after you exit and restart Firefox.
