Adobe Flashplayer problem

Whenever I go to use something that requires Flashplayer (YouTube, Live Nation, etc.) on Safari, I am getting the error message to download the latest version of flashplayer. I have done this and redone it multiple times, but the videos, etc. still won't work on Safari. I have uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted the computer, made sure that Java Script is enable, but am still getting the same message. I then checked to see if I had the same problem while using Google Chrome, but it is working just fine. I like Safari as my primary browser. Any suggestions on what might be going on?

I suspect your User Permissions may be off.
Run the #6 Step here and also the #12 OnyX cache cleaning routine for good measure.
Make sure to run all the OnyX cleaning and maintenance steps.
Step by Step to fix your Mac
Also read this, it might help clearing it's cache first, then uninstalling it, then reinstalling it once all the permissions have been fixed by the above steps.

BTW, Chrome has it's own Flash, so it's updated by them.

  • Installing Adobe Flashplayer problem

    Hi
I am trying to install Adobe Flashplayer for use with IE11
I click on the Install button and the Initialization graphic starts. Then after a few seconds I get a message saying "If you are having problems click here".
But the actual download stops or stalls.
Could it be the Norton Firewall stopping it. If so I have search Norton for a way to allow the download and cannot see what might be effecting it.
    I use Windows 7
    IE v11
    Norton 360 Premier.

Two bugs, one affecting Apple's Mac platform and another attacking Microsoft's Windows, exploit certain Flash player vulnerabilities to install malware onto users' systems, reports ArsTechnica. While users of other operating systems like Linux have yet to report attacks, Adobe's advisory notes the exploit affects all platforms.
Designated as CVE-2013-0634, the first vulnerability targets the Safari and Firefox Web browsers running on OS X, and is also being used as a trojan to deploy Microsoft Word documents containing malware. For Mac users, the flaw affects Adobe Flash Player version 11.5.502.146 or earlier.

The Adobe Flash patch can be found on Adobe’s website, and users can visit this page to check if their software is the most curent version.

  • Problem installing Adobe Flashplayer

    Hello.
    I am on Macbook 10.6.8
I am unable to watch videos on YouTube as apparently I don't have Adobe flash player installed (I don't know why this has happened now as I have not had a problem viewing videos on youtube for the past few years).
So I have been to the Adobe flashplayer website and downloaded the most recent version and installed it. Once the installation process is complete it quite literally does nothing. The installation manager says the installation is complete and has been succesful, but I cannot find it on the computer and I still cannot watch videos.
I have tried to follow the troubleshooting tips on the adobe flashplayer site - but this has got me perplexed!
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Why Do I have to load adobe Flashplayer each time I switch my computer off and on again this only started about 2 weeks ago is it a firefox problem or an adobe issue????

Why Do I have to load adobe Flashplayer each time I switch my computer off and on again this only started about 2 weeks ago is it a firefox problem or an adobe issue. I am using adobe Flashplayer ver 11

This is a good question. It's possible your Xserver isn't configured for the correct mouse type. Try logging into a command line console (no X11 running). Run /usr/bin/X11/X -configure. It should create an Xorg configuration file in your root directory.
Copy this to /etc/X11/Xorg.conf and try restarting your Xserver. The file it creates might require some tweaking.

  • New Adobe Flashplayer plugin for Safari causing problems

The newest version of the Adobe Flashplayer plugin eats up 15% or more CPU constantly and requires that I ForceQuit Safari several times a day.  These problems went away when I removed the Flashplayer files from Library/Plugins.  Now Safari is running like before.
    Anyone else notice this?  Thanks.

Not sure if this will work for you but worth checking out ...

I've tried downloading the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer many times in the last few days. But when every time I try to download it it stops between 30% and 50%. After it hits a certain number it just stops. I left it there for hours and it didn't progress any further. I need help with this.
I have a MacBook Pro computer that is up to date on all software and I use the Safari browser.

    Hi
This might be happen because the program is not completely downloaded. So you can try to download it again.

  • Adobe Flashplayer via Windows 8.

    Hello,
I need to install Adobe Flashplayer on Windows 8, but I cannot find the options Windows 8.
The higest options is Windows 7 64 bits en Windows 7 32 bits.
Hope someone has a solution for this.

For what web browser?  Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8 has Flash Player preinstalled; you don't need to (and cannot) install Flash Player manually.
For other browsers download the installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header

  • Adobe Flashplayer issue

Well, I seem to be like a boom a rang - I keep coming back!  Anyway, I didn't realize that Adobe Flashplayer came with the Froyo 2.2 update!   I went ahead and installed Flashplayer 10.2 after the Froyo update.  Now, if I go to CNN.com (full site) and try to watch one of the news videos, the site is asking me to install Adobe Flashplayer.  If I click on the install button for the flashplayer, the site says my OS will not support the player'.  Froyo 2.2 DOES support the Adobe Flashplayer yet, I can't seem to make the smart(dumb)phone understand that the player is already installed. What is my next step in troubleshooting this problem?  I have already tried a soft reset! Thank you....

Before you do the factory reset I would try the following.
    Visit the market
    my apps
    Find flash and uninstall it
When it is complete ask the phone to power off
Give the phone a minute once the screen goes black
    Power on the phone
    Visit the market
    Search for flash
    Select adobe flash player 11
Update flash it should update to v11 not v10
Once it is installed open your browser
    menu
    select more
    select settings
    enable plug-ins
select always on (as suggest by smokie11)
Now you don't have to do this it is my own habit, but I usually shut down the phone after installing a new app
Visit the page and see if it works...
If it does I suggest changing the enable plug -ins always on to on demand and try again.
This will put a green arrow that shows where the flash is. You click the green arrow and the flash will load and start to play. I prefer this method to keep my phone from getting overwhelmed when multiple flash items are present.

  • Adobe Flashplayer plug-in freezes Mozilla Firefox whenever activated.

I am entirely unable to ever watch a video in Firefox which requires the Adobe Flashplayer plug-in. In fact, IF I activate the plug-in, Firefox goes into a "not responding" mode, which never ends. I DO, after anywhere from 15 to 40 minutes get a script quit responding message, but regardless of how I answer it, another freeze (or the same one) occurs, and after another interminable wait, I get a repeat message. This happens so many times I've left it to run more than 12 hours, then checked it, to find the message windows stacked. When I cleared the last of 20+ windows at the end of the 12 hours, I immediately got another freeze. The only fix to date has been to kill Firefox, either from the Task Manager, or from the "red X, and kill it now instead of waiting" options. Then, on restart, I have to get quickly to the add-ons page, and re-disable Adobe.
The version of Firefox I'm running is 35.0.1
The version of Adobe I'm running is Shockwave Flash 16.0.0.305.
I ran, over the space of 20 hours, several malware hunters (malware bytes, Microsoft System Security, AVG, AVAST, Spybot S&D, and others I can't remember now) with several issues found and cured. None, though, fixed this.
My machine is an ACER Aspire 5732Z, running Windows 7, 64-bit. This problem cropped up about 2 months or less ago. I'm wondering if it is related to the latest version of Shockwave, and possibly occurred after a(n automatic) update.

  • I can't download Adobe Flashplayer

I cannot download the new version of Adobe Flashplayer to my iMac (using 10.6.8, Snow Leopard). Therefore I have little access to video.
When the Blocked Plug-in message comes up, I follow prompts to download the new version from Adobe website.  At step 1 it appears to download. But step 2 is blank, also step 3, and I cannot find the download anywhere in my mac.
Clearly others have had the same problem, as I found some sites with supposed fixes:
I followed one suggestion to download not from Adobe, but from Applestore.  It is not listed in Applestore.
I followed another suggestion to uninstall the old version of Flashplayer, and did so successfully, but the new one still does not download.
I believe one other suggestion is to get free upgrade to Mavericks, which I do not ant to do as it will screw up my iPhoto
I tried calling local store that sell Apple, but the good independent one has gone out of business, and there are no live people available by phone at the others.
    Help!

    Thanks a lot, Kilted Tim.
    Finally, a clear answer!
It infuriates me that a computer I don't consider old at all, and does everything else I want it to (except, since this fall, play what needs Flashplayer) is  considered obsolete.   And that Apple or Adobe does not come up with a fix for this problem.
It was one of the employees at the old, lamented, independent AppleStore that advised me, when I asked about Mavericks... that the real advantage was greater connectivity with all my touchscreen devices (I have none) and warned me about  the iPhoto problem.     Perhaps I mistakenly thought that  also applied to Yosemite...  it's only Mavericks that Apple keeps trying to seduce me to.
It's good to hear you have  had no problems with iPhoto.
I of course back things up regularly--  but if the new system, say, Mavericks, can't read the old iPhoto, then I'm not sure  how backups would help my problem with access to thousands of photos....
Perhaps I could upgrade just to Lion and get back on Flashplayer?
Anyway, I'll start checking  out necessary upgrades.

  • Why do I have to keep re-loading my Adobe Flashplayer

Hi everyone, when I shut down my computer for the evening after using Adobe Flashplayer to watch various video's, next day when I re-open my computer, I get a message that I need to install Adobe Flashplayer, even though it was working okay on the previous occasion.
Is this a problem with my computer settings, or did the program not download properly. Thsi is becoming a very fustrating issue. Can some one please advise me.

Uninstall it using your Control Panel and then do a "clean install" to replace it with the "offline" Flash Player installer downloadable by clicking one of the following links.
