Adobe Form From Excel Has Excel File Location in Form

I took an excel sheet that we use as a form and used the adobe form wizard to convert it to a pdf form and it has the excel files
location at the bottom of the form C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\Desktop\stsform.xls.
How can i make it so that this does not show up in the pdf form? This is being read in from somewhere as it does not appear on the excel form.
This may be a basic question but this is my first try at adobe forms. I am using acrobat 9 Pro.

Hi..
does any one here to explain how the coding to be done..

  • Import data from excel file

    Hello.
Is anybody can help how to import data from excel file to the form created with designer 7.0. Originally there is a script inside the form to populate drop down list and depending from data selected in the ID number drop down list, there will be filled out the description and the prices text fields. But now I have to modify this form with data from excel file, which has more than 30000 lines and put all this data to script is too much.
So, can somebody know how can I after filling the ID number field , populate the description and price text fields with data from excel file corresponding to this ID number ?
This form is used in Adobe reader.
    Any comments are welcome.
    Regards,
    Aivar

    Hi
That's what i said in my prev. Post to clear cache... :)
    disable your cache from nqsconfig.ini
In cache section of NQSConfig file,
    you find
    ENABLE     =     YES;
    set to NO
    OR
if you are using data ware house as the source for OBIEE,
you know that when ETL is done, so just create iBot to purge cache automatically at that particular intervals,
So that report runs freshly at that time
And what happened to your View Selector question?

  • Reading long text from excel file to an internal table

    Hi
Can any body tell me how to read long text from excel file to an internal table.
When i am using this FM KCD_EXCEL_OLE_TO_INT_CONVERT then it is reading only 32 characters from each cell.
But in my excel sheet in one of the cell has very long text which i need to upload into a internal table.
may i know which FM or what logic i need to use for this problem.
    Regards

    Hi,
Here is an example program.  It will upload an Excel file with two columns.  You could also assign the Excel structure dynamically, but I wanted to keep the example simple.  The main point is that the internal table (it_excel in this example) must match the Excel structure that you want to convert.
Remember, this is just an example to help you figure out how to properly use the technique.  It will certainly need to be modified to fit your requirements, and as always there may be a better way to get the Excel converted... this is just one possibility that has worked for me in the past.

  • How to transfer data from excel files into z-tables

Please help me with a code which transfers data from excel file to z-table.
    Thanks in advance
    Shuvir

    Hi Daniel,
    Export Data
    Purpose
Use this procedure to export SAP data to a local file such as Microsoft Excel.
    Menu Path
Use the following menu path to begin this process:
    ·         SystemèListèSaveèLocal File
    Helpful Hints
    When reviewing fields, R = Required,  O = Optional and C = Conditional.
    Procedure
    1.       Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code.
Whatever Data You Want to Export
    2.       Select SystemèListèSaveèLocal File.  This works well for any data in SAP.  This is the only option for the top-level (first page) of a report.
In a drill-down view within a report the Local File button  on the toolbar may be used and has the same options.
          Choose File Format
    3.       Click  .
    4.       Click  to continue.  If prompted for a format after choosing Spreadsheet, select Excel Table to get an Excel file that can be modified more easily.
Choose File Save Location Step 1
    5.       Click  to the right of the Directory field to choose a different location.
Choose File Save Location Step 2
    6.       Click  or browse your computer to locate the directory where you want to save your file.
    7.       Complete the following field:
    ·         File name:
You must add the proper file extension to the name of your file (.xls for Excel, .rtf for Rich Text, .html for HTML).  The file extension tells your computer what program to open the file with.  If you do not have the file extension at the end, you may not be able to open it.
    8.       Click  to continue.
Generate File in Location and Format Selected
    9.       Click  to create the file in the location and format selected.  In this example the file was named "example.xls" and saved on the desktop.
    Result
You have completed the export process.
    thanks
    karthik

    Hello Sachin,
You can use the following metalink note:How to Read Data from an EXCEL Spreadsheet into a Form Using Webutil Client_OLE2 (Doc ID 813535.1) and modify it a little bit.
Instead of copy values into forms you can save them in your temporary table.

    Hi all,
I need some help. I have a Excel file with set of  name, phonenumbers . I want to know how to display the data using Webdynpro. Could some one help me. help is appreciated and I promise to award points for right answer.
    Thank you
    Maruti

    <b>Hi
i can explain you to read data from Excel file
First You have to download the jxl.jar file. You can get this file from the Below site
    </b><a href="http://www.andykhan.com/jexcelapi/download.html">jexcelapi jar</a>
It will be in Compressed Fromat So Unzip it to get the Contents
After Unzipping The File You will get a Folder (jexcelapi/jxl.jar)
Now in NWDS open web dynpro explorer, Right Click Your Project, a popup menu will appear and in that click Properties
You will get window displaying your Project Properties
On Left Side of the window You Will Find "Java Build Path"
Click That "Java Build Path" and you will get 4 Tabs Showing ( Source,Projects,Libraries,Order and Export)
    Click Libraries Tab
You will find options many options buttons
In that click the Button "Add External Jars"
You will get Window in order to fecth the jxl.jar file from the location you had stored
After selecting the jxl.jar i will get displayed and click ok
    Now Open Navigator
    Open Your Project
    You will find Lib folder
Copy the jxl.jar to that lib folder
Note : You cannot Read the Content from the excel file directly
First You Have to copy that file to the Server,
And from the Server you can get the file absolute path
With the absolute path you can read the contents of the Excel file
You have to save the Excel file as .xls Format and Not as xlsx format i will not accept that...
You have Upload the Excel file from the Server Using the File Upload UI Element
This Coding will extract 3 columns from the Xls File
    Coding
    import java.io.File;
    import java.io.FileOutputStream;

  • Import data from excel file - best practice in the CQ?

    Hi,
I have question related to importing data from excel file and creates from those data a table in the CQ page. Is inside CQ some OOTB component which provides this kind of functionalities? Maybe somebody implement this kind of functionality or there is best practice to do this kind of functionalities?
Thanks in advance for any answer,
    Regards
    kasq

You can check a working example package [1] (use your Adobe ID to log in)
After installing it, go to [2] for immediate example.
Unfortunately it only supports the old OLE-2 Excel format (.xls and not .xlsx)

Hi Rob, I confirm, you're nitpicking! :-D For information, I've noted a few SAP comments about releasing and released objects, for people who like reading: [SAP Library - Documenting and Releasing a Function Module|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/d1/801f50454211d189710000e8322d00/frameset.htm], [Note 109533 - Use of SAP function modules|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/109533], [Note 415983 - Modification/customer developments of SAP function modules|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/415983]; Example of an unreleased BAPI -> [Note 577453 - Using BAPI BAPI_DELIVERYPROCESSING_EXEC|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/577453]

  • Metadata from excel file

    Hi
    we have ep6 sp16 on win2003/mssql .
does anybody now how can we get metadata from excel file.
meaning we want to take the list of the metadata parameter
from excel file instead from csv list .
    Thank you
    Amit Zait

    Does anybody have any ideas?
I believe this is possible but you need to use a custom script for that, try the dedicated Bridge Scripting Forum for this request, I think you might have success there.

  • .exe reading from Excel files

    Hi everybody,
I know similar questions have been asked lots of times but while searching the forum didn't find an anwer to my problem.
I created an exe file (using exe4j) of a java application which reads form Excel files. Although it works when I run it from my editor, when running the exe file it cant find the Excel file. More specifically I have this error:
"java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"
In order to read from excel files I use POI. I used it so as not to use ODBC driver and make it possible to run in every computer. When adding the driver, the exe works.Do you know a way to make it work without having to install the Driver?
    Thanks in Advance

You need database drivers to read excel spread sheets?
Also, why did you make it an exe? just jar it and be done with it.
