Facing challenges during creation of replica of .IDF file/Pdf output from 4.7 system into of Adobe forms in ECC 6.0 system.
If anybody has easy way to make those forms...
    Please suggest...

    Hi Shabeer,
the first thing is that you are running on a very very low RAM.
For ECC 6.0 with dual stack SAP System to run you should have atleast 4 GB of RAM.
For your Dispatcher issue kindly check the status of your Oracle database and the connection from SAP To Database.
You can check the oracle status using brtools utility.

  • Editing adobe form output in ECC screen

    Hi all,
I am creating adobe form in ECC. Then I can change its output in portal page. But I can not change the output in ECC screen. can you help me about this issue?
    Thank you for your interest,

    Hi,
Please see the following KBA about a solution for this.
    [Download Adobe PDF Spool|https://bosap-support.wdf.sap.corp/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/sno/ui_entry/entry.htm?param=69765F6D6F64653D3030312669765F7361706E6F7465735F6E756D6265723D3030303136303236323526]
You need to Install at least SAPDFPRINT patch level 3(see note #1444342) and SAPGUI 7.20 patch level 5 and then follow the steps of the KBA.

  • MessageBox on Adobe Form in SAP MSS PCR for SAP ECC 5.0

    Hello,
I have a question regarding the behavior of Adobe form messagebox in SAP HR MSS PCR (Personal Change Request)
I tried to test how the messagebox looks like, and so I created a PCR scenario with an Adobe form. This form contains a datetime field. I added the script "xfd.host.messageBox("this is message", "this is title") to the "exit" event of the datetime field. Then I did all the necessary steps so that this PCR is displayed in the Portal.
Now at the runtime, when I select a date value from the datetime field, the messagebox is displayed, BUT within an empty Adobe Reader page. It is not displayed on the top of my adobe form.
But the strange thing is that when I use tab key to navigate through the datetime field, the messagebox is displayed on the top of my adobe form, without the empty Adobe Reader page.
I also tried my script with several different event types, including "Change", and "Validate", it behaves the same way. But when I tried it with the event type "MouseExit", no empty Adobe reader page is shown up at all (of course, this is not the right event type for me)
The environment is SAP ECC 5.0, SAP MSS business package for ECC 5.0, SAP Portal 7.0 (NW 2004s), Adobe LiveCycle 7.1, and Adobe Reader 8.1.1
Has anyone experienced this? I'd really appreciate any comments and suggestions. Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Harrison

    Antony,
The Adobe Reader version is 8.1.1
Just wondering if you used messageBox in interactive forms with ISR framework, and it worked well for you?
    Thanks.

  • Is it possible to create Adobe Interactive form in ECC 5.0 IDES using WDA?

    Hi every body,
I am trying to create an adobe interactive form in ECC 5.0 IDES using Web Dynpro for ABAP. But I am facing some configuration problems. My doubt here is -> "Is it possible to create abobe interactive forms in ECC 5.0 IDES using Web Dynpro for ABAP ?"
    Please help me out.
    thanks in advance,
    best regards,
    naveen.

    Hi Naveen,
ECC 5.0 is NW04 - not NW04s so you don't have WDA at all as you should be able to see from e.g. it not appearing in the list of possible programming objects in transaction SE80.
    You'd need ECC 6.0.
Double-check your SAP_BASIS release in menu System > Status > Component Information.  If it says 6.40 then that's no good... you need to be on 7.00.
You can still use Java WebDynpro with ECC 5.0 of course.

  • ECC 6.0 and using Adobe forms in Output

    Hello,
      We're moving to ECC 6.0.
Is there a driver program for Invoicing that would allow us to use adobe forms
as output from within S/D e.g. (from txn VF03 for a invoice).
    Scenario:
We have a custom SAPScript invoice that we would like to consider rewriting as an Adobe form. I've created an equivalent Adobe form and now I'm investigating a way to integrate it with the standad Output Determination.
From txn SPRO, under Sales and Distribution>Basic Functions>Output Control>
Output Determination>Maintain Output Detemination for Billing Documents>
       Maintain Output Types
       Select output type ZRD0
Select processing routines from the left pane.
There is a choice of selecting Smartform or PDF as the type.
There is a smartforms driver program RLB_INVOICE.
    Question:
Is there an equivalent driver program or sample driver program for Adobe forms?
    Regards,
    Lavaughn

    Hi,
Did you check in transaction SFP what are the form available in your system ?
Also , check in the standard print program if it has been adapt to use Adobe Forms instead of smartforms because it's not the same FM used .

  • Using Adobe Interactive Forms in ECC

is it possible to leverage existing HR Admin Services (HCM processes and Forms) functionality without using the Enterprise Portal?
    1) Create an Adobe form and Interface using SFP
    2) Set up ISR and Form Scenario
    3) Set up Forms configuration to use existing Backend and generic Services
    4) Set up workflow to updated Backend using Services
is it possible to do the above steps and not use the Portal? If Yes, how do we present the forms to the Manager, and provide different buttons that appears on the Portal by default?
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Saurabh

There is an option for this built it. It is in the config for Enhanced Messages->Enhanced Notification. Basically, you can have the work items show up in the approvers email (instead of UWL). The email will have a link which will launch the "Form Applicaiton". However, I have not seen anything that allows you to INITIATE a process without the Start Application doing so in the portal.

  • Performance issue with Adobe forms

    Dear SAP Experts,
We have the following issue/requirement from our client. The client is on SAP ECC 6.0 - production environment.
The client is highlighting  performance issue while accessing the adobe forms for HR and FI business process ( both static and interactive ).
                    Examples are
        FI – Invoice Approvals
                    HR – Job Salary Change
The client is asking us to provide best practices surrounding:
    1.       How to improve the performance of the adobe forms while accessing in SAP.
    2.       Is there any other technology which we can use in SAP to replace the adobe forms which has better performance factor.
    3.       Are there solutions such as webdynpro floor plan manager, UI Fiori which can be alternately used?
    Regards,
    Sakthi

    Hello Priya,
Adobe forms are easy to develop and much more comfortable than SAP Scripts and Smartforms. Initially they are a bit difficult but once you have your hands on, they are the most simplest things in ABAP.
Performance in Adobe forms is a mix of both fine tuning the Layout as well as back end coding.
Performance in Adobe forms cannot be done overnight. A lot of care has to be taken during the initial stage of development.
As far as my experience is concerned, please consider the below points while developing SAP Adobe forms.
    1) Avoid Scripting (Javascript/Formcalc) as much as possible inside the form. It drastically reduces the performance and makes the form to execute slower. If you still want to use scripting(which cannot be avoided for some requirements), use Formcalc since it is comparatively faster than JavaScript.
    2) Try to avoid the coding inside the Form Interface. You can always handle the maximum coding in the Driver program and pass it to the form.
    3) Use Form Caching.
For forms that have fixed layout, its a good way to increase the performance of form rendering. In the layout, go to Form Properties. Then Click on Defaults tab and select Allow Form Rendering To Be Cached On Server. Then Click OK.
For forms that have flowable or dynamic layout, render the forms on the client side because it improves performance.
Last but not the least, please go through the below post by Otto Gold which is worth a read at least once.

  • Error while opening Adobe Form Builder

    Hi all,
I am trying to open an existing form in Adobe Form builder (TA SFP).
When ever I display a standard form say FP_TEST_01 and go to the layout tab, I get an error saying <i><b>Error occurred in communication with layout editor</b></i>. I am using ECC 5.0 system.
    Am I missing any configurations?
We have all the required configurations set as mentioned in Configuration guide. (Required for ABAP stack).
    Please help me out.
    Thanks in advance.

    Ravikiran.

Or go to http://service.sap.com/download > Download > SPs and Patches > Search for SPs and Patches > Enter 'Designer'. Install Designer 7.0 <b>and the 7.0 patch</b> (!).

  • How to use the SSO functionality when a button is clicked in Adobe Form?

I have an offline interactive form - when the user clicks on a SUBMIT to SAP button, it asks for user id and password.
However he user does not have a password to log into SAP directly - he will be logging in via Single Sign On.
Can you please advise on how to achive this functionality?
    1. Click on a SUBMIT to SAP button on the Adobe Form
    2. Take this info and get the Single Sign On token from SAP portal
    3. Use this ticket/token and log into SAP ECC or validate this info within SAP ( for this 3rd step - probably use function module SUSR_CHECK_LOGON_DATA?)
    Thanks

    Hi
I think you want to know the row number, in this case , what i would suggest is , in the action ,there is a parameter WDEVENT , which gives you the complete row where you clicked.
In WDEVENT , you have GET_CONTEXT_ELEMENT method as well as GET_DATA method to fetch the data and it doesnt require any lead selection.
    Thanks

  • Form size increases when ADOBE Form moved from DEV to QA

    Hi Gurus,
I have a large PDF ADOBE Form developed in DEV but when I moved this Form to QA environment, I noticed the file size has been Doubled(from 2MB to 4MB). Please note that, this is not an interative Form. Can someone tell me why and how can I fix it. We are emailing this form and 4MB is too large.
    Thanks for your help,
    Cyrus
Edited by: Cyrus Arjomandi on Nov 2, 2010 8:48 PM

Well, after discussing it with SAP, we are still in the dark and don't know why this problem only occurs to one of our PDF outputs. however, the following might help you to cut some times looking for answers.
1-It started after we changed the values in the Layout properties. We are not sure in which tab. We guess it was  "PREVIEW"
2-After this, every time we made any changes to the Layout, the size was doubled until it became a major problem
3-We contacted SAP for this issue and the respond was "Please refer to following note for installation/patches:
    1176858 / 1356871"
4-We were also asked by ADOBE to download a zip file called "COMMON.zip" and install the COMMON file on our ADS server
5-After installing the COMMON file on our server we were asked to run the ABAP program "FP_CHK_REPORT" on the FORM.
6-The suggestion was to only check mark only common-001when running the ABAP, but we check marked all after found no results with only COMMON-001.
7- check out this link. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/44/35f874b9d74901e10000000a1553f7/content.htm
8-we did all of the above but we had partial success, it reduced the size fro 7MB to 4MB
9-Finally, we created the same Form from ground up without touching the Layout properties and the size turned up to be around 100KB.

  • No Adobe Form Is Assigned to the Scenario -ERROR

    Hi All,
I configured the ADS server and was able to display the test Adobe Forms and test the forms successfully in ECC and Portal side.
(We are using ERP 2005 and EP 7.0 of NW2004s)
However when I tried to test the PCR forms in MSS, I get the following error.
Also I WAS ABLE TO DISPLAY the  forms when I had SAP_ALL autorizations at the backend ECC system. But when I remove the SAP_All and provide with all the ESS/MSS authorization with all the needed RFC authorizations, I'm  unable to display the forms. Can anyone please help me resolve this issue.
