Have anyone used ADOBE FORM instead of using sapscript or smartform and assigned to Output types in NACE tcode?
If so, please give details for the same.

How to use Adobe forms with F150 Dunning Run

Hi,
I want to use Adobe forms with the transaction F150 Dunning Run.
How do I get the adobe form in customizing? I have put the FM 'FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE_PDF' in business transaction Event, BF31 - P/S modules of SAP app - 00001720, Fi-FI. But it is still not recognizing the ADOBE form.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am also working for calling custom adobe form instead of sapscript.
While configuring BTE 1720, i noticed that configuring BTE only FI-FI application does not solve the purpose. You need to assign function module FI_PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE_PDF for all Application Area Indicator.
Adding to IS-PS will allow to print for customer.
This solved my problem. But this setting is global so you need to take care of it.

Adobe form to replace smartform in SRM 7

Hello,
We are in the process of utilizing the adobe server for form processing in our SRM 7 environment. In SRM 5.0 we have some custom Z smartforms for SRM documents. I am having the following questions:
1) What are the steps to do a "smoke test" to make sure the adobe server is working as it should?
2) Is there a graceful way of transforming the smartforms into adobe forms without re-designing them?
3) What are the steps to configure the system so that the it prints adobe form instead of the smartforms? (I have read note 1264423. It doesn't seem to have too many details.)
4) If adobe form would be exclusively used in SRM 7, is BADI BBP_OUTPUT_CHANGE_SF still relevant or should we deactivate it?

What I didn't realize is this:
By migrating Smart Forms, you can reuse them as PDF-based print forms. You can find the Smart Form migration tool in transaction SMARTFORMS.
I have tried the migration tool. It did convert the old smartform to the new form/interface, but not without many errors. But at least we know that we don't have to start from scratch.

Migrating Smartform to Adobe form

I have Standard SAP Purchase order, i have cpoied into Z-Smatform.
then i have to migrating the same smartform to Adobe form.
While migrating from smartform to Adobe i am getting dump like..
There is already a type called TY_TEXT ..
Can any one have any idea abt the same, please share with me..
And also i wanted to know that is there any other way to do the same?

Need to configure output type for adobe form

I need to configure output type for Adobe Form thru NACE. What would be print program and how do I call my form from that program? and, what would be the FORM routine for that form in NACE?

Hi,
Just before few weeks we did this task.
Say for example if you want to print PO details through ADOBE form instead of normal sapscript layout or standard MEDRUCK, you can follow the following steps.
1. Design the form in SFP tcode, by passing the necessary inputs through form interface.
2. Then use tcode tcode NACE and select EF as application and click output types button on the application tool bar. Select NEU output type and double click processing routines on left side.
3. Then, in the right side of the screen we can see the calling program and the form (may be sapscript or smartform) whatever used.
4. For form names we have two options in NACE tcode.
One is Form and the otherone is PDF/Smartform Form. If you are using adobe form give your form name under PDF/Smartform and also select PDF under the type option in the same screen.
This worked perfectly for us. But pass the required parameters to the form from the routine used in standard program.

Adobe Forms in Output Determination

We're looking at using an Adobe form to replace an existing SAPSCRIPT form in Output determination.
From SPRO, under the processing routines of the output type I can see a selection where a PDF form can be supplied.
I haven't done any detailed exploration yet.
A few questions:
>>Is there anything documented that explains how to use a PDF form created within the ABAP workbench as an output in output determination.
>>Should the processing program routine be used to call and populate data within the Adobe form?

ECC 6.0 and using Adobe forms in Output

Hello,
We're moving to ECC 6.0.
Is there a driver program for Invoicing that would allow us to use adobe forms
as output from within S/D e.g. (from txn VF03 for a invoice).
Scenario:
We have a custom SAPScript invoice that we would like to consider rewriting as an Adobe form. I've created an equivalent Adobe form and now I'm investigating a way to integrate it with the standad Output Determination.
From txn SPRO, under Sales and Distribution>Basic Functions>Output Control>
   Output Determination>Maintain Output Detemination for Billing Documents>
   Maintain Output Types
   Select output type ZRD0
   Select processing routines from the left pane.
   There is a choice of selecting Smartform or PDF as the type.
   There is a smartforms driver program RLB_INVOICE.
Question:
   Is there an equivalent driver program or sample driver program for Adobe forms?

Adobe Form for F110 Check Payments

Currently, F110 uses an SAPScript form defined in t-code OBVU for its check payments. Is it possible to use an Adobe form instead? If so, is there a template or example anywhere? I am using t-code SFP.

Is it possible to use an Adobe form instead?
Of course. You will find a predelivered (next step) or create one yourself.
There is also the option to migrate the smartform but I would never do that even if I got paid for that (the result is very messy), check the details here:

I have created ADSUER and in SM59 am creating ADS for HTTP Connection to External Serv and in Target host i am giving the my own sap server name, and path perfix as /AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=rpc and i am not sure how to find the service number. In case of java it will be port number and the target host will be some J2EE engine user id... when i am trying to do the test connection i am getting the error ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED,
Pls let me know whether this setting will work for simple PDF forms. Pls let me know how to find out the Service no to enter here.

First of all, you have open threads and i dont think you will ever come back and see the answers. If you see, please close them.
Come to your point..... You have to have configured ADS in the system and for this, you have to have java stack somewhere in your box. Search forums for how to configure or go to service.sap.com and search for notes. there are trouble shoot programs. go through them.
To configure as smartforms, you have to do that in output configuration through transaction NACE.
To display only, you can make them non interactive and leave blank in editable in form interface.

Why Adobe forms instead of smartforms.
In US Under section 58 will say all the printing documents(forms) should be accessible by the blind people, so that is the reason SAP has been integrated with Adobe. So we can access adobe designer using the tcode SFP. After you develope a adobe form output by using JAWS software imapaired (blind) people can access the output. Access in the sense that software will read the contents in the output.
Main use of Adobe forms.
Once you activate the ADobe form system will generate the function modue, thouse function module you can call in the print program. so that pdf form will call and appropriate output will generate.
In adobe forms we dont have windows concept, instead we have master pages,body pages, with the help of data xml file you can get the output it means no need to execute the printporgram.
You can write the condition adobe form itself
if it is master page select the event as layout ready and run at client
if it is body page select the event as form ready and run at client

Adobe Form in PT60?

Hello all,
I would like to ask you about the possibility of getting an Adobe form using the transaction PT60 (time evaluation transaction).
Up to now, after evaluating one employee we are getting a plain form, using "write" instructions.
Would it be possible to get an adobe form instead of this plain form when pressing the corresponding button?
Is it necessary to use another transaction (similar to the PT60) to get the adobe form?

However, we have been able to provide links on the CRM UI screen which will open up PDFs in a popup.
We were wondering whether it could be done within the same screen itself and not in a popup.
Again, there is a concept of Webdynpro islands in ABAP which suggest that we might be able to integrate Adobe Flex components in CRM.

Check Printing in Adobe Form

Hi,
My requirement is to modify the layout of Check Printing program RFFOUS_C from SAP Script to Adobe Form. I am using ECC6.0. I went through the code, and figured out that include RFFORI01does the check printing part using Open_Form Function module.
Also going through other threads, I figured out that there is no exit in the program RFFOUS_C and the only way to modify it is create a copy of that program and add changes to ZRFFORI01. In the adobe form, apart from normal check printing, i need to add few fields from HR module too.
Any help/ sample code, on how to incorporate this, would be really helpful as I am new to ABAP.

Adobe forms are advanced to smartforms and scripts.
Adobe forms are much easier than smartforms they are online forms.
they can be developed online.
Adobe forms : This is another SAP tool designed to create your own forms. The transaction for this is SFP.
How to use them: You can create a sales order form in adobe form and send to the sales reps. Sales reps can fill this form when they are not connected to internet / SAP system. Once they connect to SAP just send an e-mail to a specific user id in outlook. You got to customize and code how do you want to process once you receive this form. This enables you to create orders even when you are not connected to the system. Hence no data loss. This is not how i used though :-). This is just my idea.
What is the difference between Adobe forms and smart forms / scripts.
Smart forms / scripts are used to show the data in SAP. Most likely you will use these to print / display some kind of reciepts / forms. Many companies must be using this for hard copies / ALE / EDI or to transfer data from SAP to others.
Adobe forms are used to post data into SAP from SAP too. So this has an additional feature compared to smartforms.

Copy Adobe form

Hi Experts,
I am new to Adobe form.
I want to know what happen if i use copy of an adobe form instead of the original form.
will it affect the translations??
Will the copy reflect all the changes that has already be done on adobe form??

Nothing wil be effected...It will give you the replica of the form which you previously created. But the changes made after copying the form will not be effected in the copied form.
