Adobe Form Layout is not loading from webdynpro

Hi Experts,
I am not getting the layout for Adobe forms from webdynpro.If i click the layout tab an error is poping:
"Error while opening the document"-Message no.SOFFICEINTEGRATION143
When i checked the diagnosis it is stated as:An error occured in the desktop application while opening a document.
Please help me to solve this issue.

Error due to incorrect installation of life cycle designer.

Adobe forms layout editor not working

Hello
the layout editor in <b>sfp</b> transaction for adobe forms is not working... it says " could not open layout editor" .
can anyone plz suggest whether anything needs to be installed while installing the gui or any patch would do ...
or atleast where to find the patch ..

Actually, after a bit more checking I've found SAP note 962763 with more detail.
You do need Adobe LiveCycle Designer and can download the installer from SAP Service

Round trip clearing adobe form field values not binded to webdynpro context

Hi ,
I have developed a webdynpro ABAP application with Interactive form. I'm calling a webservice on 'exit event' of the one of the form fields. Once webservice is executed, Im filling a table with 300 rows which is in the form. The table fileds are binded to webservice fields from the dataview of the form , these are not webdynpro context attributes in the data view.
But when I open any seach help , this table values are disappearing. I need to execute the webservice again to get the values.
can any one tell why the values in the table are disappearing? since I have binded to the webservice fields the values should remain there.

I looked over that note yesterday, but too quickly - i thought it was an older note explaining which standard programs to run to test out the connection etc...
but i see now that there is an important point:
The "pdfSource" attribute of the InteractiveForm UI element should be linked only if the Web Dynpro ABAP application requires the PDF document for further processing (saving data to the database, and so on). However, it is mostly only the data entered in the interactive form that is relevant for the application. If this attribute is linked, the Web Dynpro ABAP framework must request an updated PDF document from the Adobe document services each time data is changed in the form.
It looks like this is saying that a round trip is possible in WDA.
EDIT - I wish SAP would fix this certificate issue. My first post every day is doubled because of it.

Saving a adobe form Output to presentation server from webdynpro

Hi all
I have a webdynpro aplication, where on clicking a button I want one adobe form output to be downloaded
in pdf format to local server.
currently while clicking the button its calling the webdynpro application where pdf is integrated and its displayed
on the browser.
Instead of the display I want to download to presentation server on clicking of the same button ,
The layout type of the PDF component is ZCI Layout and interface is XML schema based interface.

With an XML based interface it is going to be much easier to display the form and then download it. The user could choose the save from the Adobe Plug-In toolbar or you can get the XSTRING content of the PDF from the PDFSource Property of the InteractiveForm UI element. With the XSTRING you can then, start a download with this content. However PDFSource doesn't get populated until the InteractiveForm is visible on the screen.
If you want complete background rendering of the PDF, you would have to call the form interface and pass the data into it with the XML format. Function Module based form interfaces are really much better suited to background calls because of their nice, flat and ABAP structure based interfaces.

Item line data not flowing into SAP Adobe form layout

Hello Gurus,
I am currently working on adobe form layout for a sales document in SAP, i have created a master page
as well as a couple of pages in the design view. Data at the header level are working properly, but the item data
are not flowing into the layout, as nothing appears in the print preview for the item level of the sales document.
I have done all the necessary binding with all the right field names, my subform to the best of my knowledge seems to be well
defined, but yet to no avail.
I would like to know what yet could be the reason for this issue and how i can go about fixing it.

In our project, we have the same requirement but I am one step behind than you. I am able to generate the PDF form but not able to generate the data. Means all the fields are coming as disabled fields.

When i am trying to Activate an ADOBE Form Layout its "No Vendor specified"

I have created one interface with one field CARRID.
By using this interface I have created one simple ADOBE Form layout with one filed CARRID.
I specified all the properties for this object. Like default value, name etc...
when i tried to activate the form its showing the status message "No Vendor Specified"
And its not Activating. it remains as inactivate state.
Plz Any helps...

You're going to have to debug to figure out what the actual error message is. Just do a /h before hitting activate and set a break-point at the "message" abap statement.
SAP in it's infinite wisdom decided to change message 001 of message class 00 from &&&& to "No Vendor Specified". They didn't really think that one through though, because the ABAP construct (that SAP uses all over the place)
message [text] type [type]
is the equivalent of
message [type]001(00) with [text]
Because they changed the contents of the message, this construct (which hasn't been marked as obsolete, interestingly) is essentially worthless.
The last time I checked, there were a few OSS notes that address the issue - but they are specific for specific error scenarios changing the way the message is issued. I haven't seen a fix that changes message 001 of message class 00 back. But then, it's been a few weeks since I looked.

Adobe forms :Layout

Hi Gurus,
I am using Adobe forms for the first time. My requrement is to adjust Adobe form layout.
Ihave changed the width of Daat field and compliled but still i am not getting desired output.
My text is overlapping with neighbouring text.
Plz suggest why my layout changes are not geeting reflected in the PDF output.

Hi Sachin,
Put the text fields in the subform.
Select the subform and go to object pallette and make the content of the subform as "Flowed".
You can also select the Flow Direction from the second dropdown.
In layout tab, select the Auto-Fit checkbox for width and height.

Issue with Adobe Form Layout

Hi,
I have an issue with the Adobe Form Layout.Although I have added a field in the Context Menu of the Form Builder but the context has not been added to the Data View.
Could you please help me to understand how to include the parameters and structures that we define in the context and add them to the Data View in layout?As far as I know, it is done automatically.But in this case I don't understand what the problem is.

it is normally done automatically. Do ANY of your fields show in your DATA VIEW? Or, are you just missing the new one?
If you're only missing the new one, make sure your Context has the field defined correctly and generated.. Then make sure you have updated the mapping in your View Context and generated that.
After those 2 things, your field should now show.
You cannot, as far as I know, define an attribute as any sort of TABLE - we have a common structure that has several Table Types in it. When we import that structure, we have to delete those attributes and create Nodes to mimick those tables.
If you've accidentally included a Table type as an attribute, you won't see any fields in your Data View.
EDIT: by the way, there's an Adobe Interactive Forms Forum where you should ask these kinds of questions.

Java console not accessible, will not load from FFx tools dropdown menu (had same prob with 3.6.15). Latest Java installed and IS accessible thru control panel

XP OS, have NoScript installed, disabled, Java console still will not load from FFx.

I followed your instructions and installed Developer Suite 10G on Windows Vista Home Premium edition. I have Oracle 11G DB running on the same machine.
Two points, Steve:
1. When I tried to set the maximum virtual memory to 6110 an error message displayed from Windows and told me that I can't set the maximum virtual memory to more than 4096. I set it to 4090 and it worked and I got nothing wrong during the installation process.
2. After installing JInitiator and disabling Java on Firefox I called the http://127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet page and everything seemed to be OK because the Oracle Forms Services logo appeared and then a successful installation message appeared , but as I clicked (ok) to continue a gray screen appeared inside the browser (like the one displayed when you try to run a Java applet inside a browser) and then I wait to death till something appears but sadly nothing. I just get a blank gray screen inside my Firefox browser.
Do you have any idea what to do to solve the problem?

Pages on Adobe Web Site Do Not Load

This might be more properly an OS X issue, since Firefox behavior is the similar.
Certain pages at the Adobe web site simply don't load on my browser. Plug-ins are enabled in preferences, and I turned off pop-up blocker just to see if that made a difference, it didn't work.
There are some pages that never load - the Creative Suite and InDesign product pages

for example. (Note: on Firefox the page above would not load, but his page:

seemed to work fine).
Sometimes (on Safari just now), even the main product page

This is since the 5.0.4 and 10.6.7. updates (I don't visit the Adobe sites regularly but was contemplating a purchase of Creative Suite).

From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Security tab. Click: Show Cookies.
Delete all Adobe related cookies.
Restart Safari and try the Adobe site.
If you still have problems, from the menu bar again click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset.
Restart Safari. Try again. If you still have problems, follow the instructions at this link to uninstall then reinstall the Flash plugin.

Then repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. *When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac*. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. Delta records are not loading from DSO to info cube

My query is about delta loading from DSO to info cube. (Filter used in selection)
Delta records are not loading from DSO to Info cube. I have tried all options available in DTP but no luck.
Selected "Change log" and "Get one request only" and run the DTP, but 0 records got updated in info cube
Selected "Change log" and "Get all new data request by request", but again 0 records got updated
Selected "Change log" and "Only get the delta once", in that case all delta records loaded to info cube as it was in DSO and gave error message "Lock Table Overflow" .
When I run full load using same filter, data is loading from DSO to info cube.
Can anyone please help me on this to get delta records from DSO to info cube?

Data is loading in case of full load with the same filter, so I don't think filter is an issue.
When I follow below sequence, I get lock table overflow error;
1. Full load with active table with or without archive
2. Then with the same setting if I run init, the final status remains yellow and when I change the status to green manually, it gives lock table overflow error.
When I chnage the settings of DTP to init run;
1. Select change log and get only one request, and run the init, It is successfully completed with green status
2. But when I run the same DTP for delta records, it does not load any data.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

SOFFICEINTEGRATION143 Error in ISR when trying opening adobe form layout

I'm running into SOFFICEINTEGRATION143 error when trying to open any adobe form layout in the ISR secenario definition. Can anyone let me know why I'm getting this error and what the solution is?
FYI, I'm using SAP gui version 640 Final Release, File Version 6404.4.14.2987, build 781208, Patch level 14
I do have Adobe LifeCycle Designer 7.1, Reader 8 and MSOffice 2002.

I think I m having similar problem. I installed Sap Gui 7.1, SAP interactive form and Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES.
I was able to open abode form layout in the transaction SFP. However, after I upgraded my Adobe to 7.0.9. (previous version is 7.x.x). I get the error SOFFICEINTEGRATION143 when try open again.
I uninstalled Adobe 7.0.9 and installed Adobe 8.1 but it still get the same error.
Can anyone help?

Adobe form layout version retrival

I have a problem in opening the adobe form layout.I am facing an error message error while opening the document.I checked in the production system same problem there also.
it is possbile to retrevive the older version of layout?
Adobe life cylce designer is installed properly. But i am able to open the layout of another adobe form in another development system.
