Adobe Form, Line Spacing of Paragraphs

Dear colleagues.
I have an Adobe Form (created by transaction SFP in
an ERP 6.0 system, using Adobe LifeCycle Designer 7.1).
This form contains a simple table to display some text in the form.
The table has just one column for strings (type Text field, field
format Plain Text only, value type Read Only).
It works fine. However I would like to reduce the spacing of the text
lines in the table.
Would you please tell me how this can be done?
(I tried the following, but it was NOT successful: I opened palette
"Paragraph". Under "Spacing", the value of "Above:" and "Below:" was
already 0pt. So I changed the option of "Line Spacing:" from "Single"
to "Exactly" and assigned to "At:" a smaller value, e.g. 5pt.
Then I tested my modified form, and I was very surprised: The
spacing of the text lines did not change, but the width of the text
lines was reduced! All letters were truncated: The above and below
part of the letters disappear suddenly.)
Would you please give me some hint?

could you please clarify that you have a table with one column and in each row you have some multi line text and you would like to reduce the distance between the lines or you have one line per row and wish to reduce the distance between the text in each row?

Oh I just solved my own question! Drop down pops when you click the arrow attached to spacing.Just in case anyone else has the same question.

Adobe forms: How to reduce the spacing dynamically between two variables

Hi All,
I have a requirement where at the header I am printing the address and below that other contact detials of vendor. I have used standard address element of adobe forms and printing it on the form using a variable.
When my addres contains 3 lines only in that case other contact details which are below address varible should dynamically move up.

How can reduce the above spacing bet two variable. Please help me in getting the solution for this issue.

You can concatenate the 2 variable and display it on that field.
data.Page1.<field>.rawValue = Concat(data.Page1.<field1>.rawValue , "\u000a" , data.Page1.<field2>.rawValue)

Fonts and indent first line in adobe forms

Hi,
I have a smartstyle with paragraph format DF for which left margin is 1.00cm and indent first line is -1.00cm. I am using this style in textmodule where i can see the text correctly as desired. but when i am using this text module in adobe form, indent first line is not recognized i.e the first line is also starting from 1.00cm which is supposed to be 0cm.
can anyone tell me how i can resolve this and also i need Arial font style in smartstyles which is not currently available when i am checking smartstyles, how can i add this font style in smartstyles?

Not sure if this will help you... but just some pointers....
How about triggering the javascript on selection of a particular record in the table...? i.e. call the particular javascript function only when some row in the table is selected and not otherwise.
About row selection, you can try using some type of UI control like radio button and through iteration of the table, you can find out which row's radio button has been selected..
(Please post the query in Adobe Forms section for more hints and suggestions... )

How to display line items corresponding to Header adobe form

Hi ,
As I am new to Adobe Form, So struggling with below problem related with Adobe Form.
For example, I have data in an internal table :
Stage      item
100         A
100         B
100         C
200         D
200         E
Here you have for field 'Stage' value '100' , I have 3 line items, for value '200' , it is 2 line items and so on.
My requirement is , I have to show Stage field at top and corresponding line items should be displayed in table.
Stage: 100
item
A
B
C
Stage: 200
D
E
I have used Nested table concept to achieve it but didn't get expected output.
Please help me out.

     If all of your line items are getting displayed in different pages, to my knowledge, there may be two possibilities.
1) May be the size of the main window can accomodate only one line item. If one item data fills up the window, then there wont' be any space for the next line item data to be accomodated in the same window in the same page, so, the system triggers the next page. Like-wise for each item data. If this is the case, increase the height of the main window to display items in same page.
2) Check the driver program. Find the Write_form block, which is written inside an item loop. May be there is a Form-control Function module( Control_form with parameter 'NEW-PAGE' ) being called after the write_fom block, within the loop. If this is the case, remove the control_form FM section to make the data display in same page.

Line item data does not appear on all master pages - Adobe forms

Hi Guys,
I have a problem in Adobe forms as explained below-
I have a page in the form which has, you can say, a 2 windows or subforms ( Information window/subfirm on top right corner, main on middle of the page ). The data of the main subform is a line item data of delivery. Some parts of the same data need to be printed on the Information subform also. The main subform can overflow to next pages but the information window will have only very limited data to be printed on one page itself, meaning it does not overflow.
Now the requirement is that each line item should be printed on a new page. For example if there are 2 lines items then first line item should be printed on first page. Then there will be a conditional page break and the next line item will be printed on the next page ( I have achieved this using condition page break). The information window will contain information related to corresponding line items. If the first line item data overflows in main then information window of first line item should be printed on first and 2nd page. The second line item should start printing on 3rd page and information window of 3rd page will contain data of 2nd line item.
I created 1 body page and 1 master page. I created one internal table with data of main window and information window. I put the information window on master page to make it appear on all the pages.
This solution unfortunately does not work. The issue is that in case of overflow, 1st page information window shows first line item. 2nd pages shows 2nd line item and 3rd page is blank whereas ideally 1st and 2nd page information window should show first line item and 3rd page should show 2nd line item. This means that master page and body page are not getting linked. If I create the information window on body page itself, it does not repeat on all the pages. Please provide some inputs to resolve the issue.

Line break on a user defined condition in adobe forms

Dear experts,
my problem is as follows:
i designed a form with adobe forms with a scheme like this.

     text2
     text3
11 text4
     text5
my Problem is now that like breaks occour random.
for example:
10 text
     text2                                        page 1
     text3                                        page 2
11 text4
     text5
I want it like this:
10 text
     text2
     text3
11 text4
     text5
i want a line break the way that all positions are linked.

In Adobe Interactive Forms , in SFP transaction where do we write Program lines.
In smar forms , roight clik flow logic and program lines creates an area for program line, what is the euqualiant to this in adobe forms.

Can you cut and paste multiple lines of text in adobe forms?

Hi -
I am working on cutting and pasting large amounts of information into adobe forms. When I presently cut and paste from Excel, it puts all of the data in one line rather than in separate choices in a multiple choice selection.
Is there a way to separate out this data so that from the excel sheet, each piece of data is separated into a different possible selection?

That's not the way of transferring data from Excel to a PDF form. You should format the data in two rows, the first being the field names and the second being their values, and then import it via Tools - Forms - More Form Options - Import Data...

Can I color a line of "standard text" in adobe forms output?

Simple question: Can I color a line of "standard text" in adobe forms output?
My standard text (SO10) has multiple lines.
Can I make one of the lines red?

Hi Oliver,
I believe you standard text is a table type of TDLINES.
On the form you would display it with a table of 1 column 1 row with repeat row ticked.
Have the like below code on the fomr ready event of your table.
for(var i =0; i<this.Row1.nodes.length;i++)

 this.Row1.xx.font.fill.color.value = "255,0,0";
Note: in my example I had a table with one row names Row1 and 2 fields cell1 type textbox, & xx as text / label.
If its like you have it in a text box with multiple entries, we need to spli the value such that 1st row is displayed in a text box whose parameters are by defeult set to font red, and rest of them to this text area.
If your procedure is table the code sud work, else let me know how you get data and how do you display it on the screen.

i have an internal table data which needs to be displayed on my adobe form as multiple lines . how do i design my form in SFP ??
actually i alerady have a form whose layout is life one header line and one detail line..i dont see anywhere any property that i can set to say i want to repeat that detail line multiple times. so whats the way to do this ?

That was a bit helpful. But what i am looking for is that i will be having a table inserted in the layout with 2 rows. One in which i will type the header text and the other row will have the text elements in each of the column to hold the field values. So my design is predefined in the form. The example u show is a blank form to which we write rows of data. But i need some additions to it like drawing a table around it with a header line.
can we design that thru the driver program ?? or is there any other way ?

Command lines in text module is not working in adobe forms

I have a problem, I have a text module with variables and I placed it in Adobe form its working fine, my problem is I added a command line /: NEW PAGE in the text module, it couldn't trigger a new page at that place.Can anyone help me out in this regard.

HCM processes & form- a line is displayed in portal instead of Adobe forms

Dear FRIENDS,
In HCM PROCESSES And FORMS , when we run a process, adobe form is not displayed. In place of that a single line is displayed.
When I implemented the SAP note 1334453 it gave dump in portal saying ASSERTION CONDITION WAS VIOLATED.
Then I reset the SAP note. Still facing the same problem.
Please help ASAP.

Dear Chris,
We are really stuck in middle of the project. Please provide your expert inputs in resolving the issue.
When we execute 3rd step, a straight blank line comes. When we press Previous button, a popup window appears giving message ' Data will be lost', It suggets that form is there but it is hided.

2) there is "allow page breaks" switch at the sub-form level
