I have created a form using pro xi with several encrypted signature blocks.  The signature blocks do not show up when I open the document on my iPad.  What am I doing wrong and how do I get around this.

Hi pat thanks for the speedy response.
Are there any plans for this?  It would help us greatly!  We are developing a system here that allows us to finally do away with paper for good in the aviation

  • Adobe Reader unable to fill in Secured Fillable Adobe Forms on ipad

I am unable to fill in my Adobe Fillable Secure Form using Adobe Reader. Help!

Currently, the Adobe Reader mobile products (Reader for iOS, Android) do not allow users to make changes (including filling in form fields) to secure/protected PDF documents (whose contents are encrypted).  Because saving encrypted data has not been supported yet.
Please use the desktop version of Adobe Reader on a Windows or Mac computer to fill in the secured fillable forms, instead.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • Adobe LiveCycle Dynamic XML forms & Apple iPad

Are Adobe LiveCycle Dynamic XML forms viewable/useable by Apple iPad and Apple phone or other mobile devices?

According to Adobe, you can with LiveCycle ES4. At least, that's how I read their blog post on ES4 Mobile forms support.
Of course, there have been several discussions started about this in the Adobe forums.

  • Acrobat X Pro Drop-down Fields Do Not Appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Help!

    Hello,
I am having a problem getting drop-down fields to appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Basically, I need to create a form that includes drop-down fields, with the end result being a form that can be viewed and completed on an iPad, using the Adobe Reader app. Above all else, the end result needs to be viewable on an iPad.
I created a form using Acrobat X Pro within which drop-down fields work flawlessly. However, when I try to open this form on an iPad, the drop-down fields do not even appear. I have done some investigating on the Web (including these forums) and come to understand that this has to do with javascript limitations on Apple products, but have yet to discover a solution to my problem.
To summarize: does anyone know how to make drop-down fields appear in Abobe Reader for iPad app? Or, does anyone know a workaround in which I could have a drop-down menu (or something similar) in my form and have it work on Adobe Reader for iPad?
Thanks in advance for the help. I took on this project from my boss' boss, so I'd really like to get this done for him.

    Hello GKaiseril,
Thanks for the reply. I experienced the issue running the most recent version of the Adobe Mobile Reader app. I'm not sure I can convince the client to use anything else, but its worth a shot.
All I need is a simple drop-down list (multiple fields in the document) with 4 options that the user can select and submit as a form. Is this something EZ Pdf reader can do? Also, is EZ Pdf Reader free? (the reason I ask is I am an Android user and do not readily have access to a iPad).
    Thanks again.

  • Adobe Reader in iPad

I have a pdf form that I am able to fill the data using the Adobe Reader in iPad. I can fill the form and see the data. When I email the form using the
email document option from the iPad I receive an email with the form attached but the data is lost. I get a blank form.
Am I doing something wrong? How can I fix this issue?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks.

Thank you for all your help!
You were right. The issue was caused because the pdf form was in LifeCycle Designer. I did the following steps in Acrobat to convert to Acrobat forms.
    Launch Adobe Professional 7
    Selected Create PDF from webpage
Chose the form and clicked on create button
The form seemed to work fine in the iPad. I am able to email the form and save the data.
Thanks again for all your help!

  • Attach images in Adobe Reader for iPAd

    Dear All,
In Actobat Reader for PC, we can attach images either using form with Button/Icon or Image Fields. Is there a way we can do the same thing in Adobe Reader for iPad?
    Thanks,
    Jackson

The iOS Adobe Reader does not support attaching images using form fields. Thanks for contacting us!

  • Adobe Forms in iOS

    Hi,
In iOS, it's simple to create a pdf, but you cannot create pdfs that have form variables or form widgets in them for the user to fill out (or partially fill out).
This is a major flow holding back use of Acrobat forms in iPads and iPhones.
Is there a Forms SDK that Adobe produces or plans to produce to address this issue (creation of forms in iOS)?
It would be awesome for us developers to be able to license an Adobe SDK that provided:
    - full creation of form based pdfs in iOS
    - display and filling in of such pdfs
    Thanks,
    NM

We don't have a solution to create PDF forms on iOS but the current version of the Reader mobile for iOS does support filling out PDF forms. The version of the mobile Reader coming out in a few weeks will also support FormsCentral created PDF forms (you can submit them to FormsCentral)

  • Drop down fields on Adobe reader for iPad

    Hello,
Regarding using an order form in adobe reader for iPad, I am able to check boxes, free form text, etc. but drop down fields are not retaining selection.  I will click drop down, make selection, and field is still blank. If I select the same drop down my choice is checked. When I email form the field remains blank.
    Any help would be appreciated!!

    Hello,
Thank you for the response.  I am currently using Adobe 11.01.  I believe I have found the problem.  Our company utilizes an app names "Showpad" for our sales teams.  Within Showpad you can open PDF's, however any interactive functionality is not available.  To solve for this, you can open a PDF within Showpad and then "open with" a different app.  In this case, I opened with Adobe Reader.  It looks like all the functionality returns to the document minus that drop down issue I am experiencing.
I tried to open the same order form from my email using Adobe Reader and all functionality is available (including drop down).
It looks as though something is getting lost between the Showpad app and Adobe Reader app.

  • Adobe reader for iPad disappointed me

I cant beleive it, Forms, links, bottoms… don't work with Adobe reader for ipad. ¿Why?

Adobe Reader on desktop has a primary goal to open any valid PDF file, not matter how complex the contents. As such it uses a lot of resources and relies on certain platform features only found on desktop and laptop machines. The install footprint is huge, memory consumption is significant, but it doesn't matter.
Adobe Reader on mobile cannot currently get anywhere close to that - not only are the hardware resources not yet up to the task (storage, CPU power, RAM and GPU features are feeble compared to even basic laptops), but there are limitations imposed by the platform owners on which elements can be included. For example on iOS, Reader can't currently display PDF files that contain Flash content or embedded JavaScript, and since many forms rely on scripting (for calculated fields or submit actions) it's simpler right now to say "feature X is not supported" than support part of the feature and have a case-by-case response to every document. Since opening everything isn't an option, the mobile versions of Adobe Reader go for lightweight installers and fast performance, with a much-reduced feature set. You may not agree that's the correct line to take, but it's what Adobe are doing. I'm sure if the app had a 500MB install footprint, people would be up in arms even if it did open every file on the planet.
The Acrobat Family (including Reader) is an enterprise application group, so there are  features in the new iOS app specifically intended to appeal to that type of user, such as integration with LiveCycle DRM. For enterprise, a simple, global "no" to a feature is much less strain on IT support than a complex "maybe".
What will happen in the future, I cannot say - but remember this is the first build for iOS, so it will certainly evolve over time. Personally I'd love to see forms support on the iPad, but done properly - AcroForms, XFA, scripting, signatures, etc. - and that's a huge challenge. I'd also love to see rich media and Flash support, but that's politics. I don't do politics.
Customer feedback is very welcome, positive or negative. It'd also be great to hear what types of documents people are viewing with the mobile apps, and what single feature they'd most like to see added.

  • Does Adobe Reader for iPad save annotations by/in itself (once uploaded from e.g. dropbox)

Does Adobe Reader for iPad save annotations by/in itself (once uploaded from dropbox I can still see them after closing the app or switching documents)? I lost some valuable annotations while switching documents and apps over time. How do I save them? Only by sending it to dropbox for instance?

    It saves the file when:
    1) The app goes to background
    2) A share action (open in, email, print) occurs
    3) A form submit occurs
    4) You close the document by going to "Home" or "Documents", or open another document
One issue that people encounter is that they open the file in a reader that does not support annotations (like the dropbox PDF view or the iOS Mail app). It doesn't sound like this is the case for you though, since you do see the annotations.
There is a known issue, where on a small number of documents with specific properties, we fail to save changes. This is an issue that we have fixed and will be in our next release. The release is currently pending approval by Apple. It's possible that you encountered this issue, and if so, I apologize.

  • Need help on sound systems to form an ipad band.

We are hoping to set up a school iPad band but we need some advice re sound systems and connectivity.

    Hi,
There is no direct route from SAPscript to adobe forms, you can go from SAPscript to smartforms then from smartforms to adobe forms.
However, the structure of SAPscript and smartforms is very different, so there needs to be a fair amount of manual work after the migration.
It may be easier to build the adobe form from scratch, using the SAPscript as reference.

  • Problemi on app  adobe reader su ipad

    Buongiorno,
    Qualcuno sa come aiutarmi,
    Grazie

    To directly answer the questions:
It's not a bug in the Adobe Reader. We believe it's a bug in the Mail App and other apps that use the Apple Built In PDF Rendering. However, Apple would argue that it's just something they didn't implement and that's probably a fair characterization. We have filed a bug with Apple in the hopes that they'll implement it in a future release.
Dropbox now supports display of many of these annotations (in fact, I haven't seen a case where it doesn't), so that's at least one more place where these work.
In a future release, we're going to offer the capability to "flatten" the annotations before you send them. This will make the annotations and forms viewable in the Apple Mail application, but flattening has the unfortunate side effect that they are no longer editable. We've avoided doing this until now because we don't like this side effect and we don't like presenting users with confusing choices (and this one seems really confusing!). However, many, many people email or post this problem so we had to do something! Please watch for a future update.
Regardless, if after sending this file you see missing annotations or forms data in the Adobe Reader app (desktop or Mobile), you have encountered a bug and we'd love to see the file.
    Thanks!

  • Since Adobe Forms Central is going away in June  22, will my subscription last until then?

If my Adobe Forms Central Plus Service expires in May, and it is going away on June 22nd, will I still get to use it until June 22nd?

Appears I finally found a solution after pulling most of my hair out, trying everything I could think of ...
As for messages on PC "network error" and itunes crashing, it's possible to use a program called PTFB Pro to restart itunes, to respond automatically with "OK" to the message boxes that prevent match from continuing...I thought this now I had a solution was just a matter of waiting for it to finish...but no, now it got stuck, just checks the songs for the 1000th time, says it's uploading then crashes ...great
So in complete desperation I installed a VMWare version of OSX from the Soul Dev team. I had to fiddle with this also, a lot of work (partly because my processor is AMD), but now it seems that OSX/itunes is actually uploading my songs ...never have I had such a long run of songs uploaded...yay! thanks soul dev team!
So my solution was run itunes on OSX in a WMWare Virtual machine...itunes library was/is attached as a network share smb://machine_name in OSX ...
My last resort would have been to buy a Mac...but seems I have avoided the expense, happy days !
Why Apple dont fix these problems on PC platform I just can't figure out, those of you who believe in conspiracies might think this is a ploy by apple to get you to buy a mac, which I did consider...however I don't like being tricked or fooled, and shoddy software is really something I didn't expect from apple, so no I won't be buying a mac and I am considering selling my ipad and iphone in favour of android...so all this effort may just have been in vain
Anyway, hopefully my months of problems with match is almost over...if it breaks again, I post update later...
