Adobe form Printout corrupted...

hello Gurus,
We have many Adobe Print forms designed in the system. We use Correspondence program to create spools for each form and we can print them in SP01.
When we print these spools in DEV, the printout is perfectly fine.
But when we do the same thing in QA, the output is not readable. The output contains thick black lines in place of text lines.
I am really not sure where to troubleshoot this issue. Any help will be appreciated.
The printer is same.

We print the documment from SP01, select the spool, click 'Print with changed Parameters', input the Printer we have set up.

New to Adobe Forms and need help with Submit Email button

I am new to Adobe Forms in Windows. I created a form with a submit email button. When users try to click the button, the message is operation cannot be completed. My test user has Adobe Reader 9 installed. I'm at a loss as to how to resolve the issue. Please assist. TIA!

Three different aspects
1. Set the form up to submit the data (XML or FDF), not the full PDF. You can import the data to the PDF on your end.
2. You can turn on Extended Reader Rights, but then limit the use/users to 500 by the EULA. The applicability of this option depends on your intended application. In a small office, it would be fine. For general web use you would likely exceed the limit and be in violation of the EULA.
3. There may be an e-mail problem, one reason that e-mail is not recommended for form submission (even if the manual discusses it). Again, in a controlled environment like an office it will probably work fine, but in a web setup it is best to use a web script. There are 2 problems with e-mail that both depend on the client system (YOU have no control, but will be blamed in any case). First, the client machine has to be set up as an active MAPI client. Many folks do not have this on. Second, some e-mail clients treat PDFs like text and the result is a corrupt e-mail submission, even if it makes to you.
If you have the possibility of web submission, do it. I suggest only having the form data submitted and not the form.

Problem in opening layout editor in adobe forms

Hi,
There is a problem in opening the layout editor in adobe forms(T.code SFP).
Eventhough I have installed Adobe livecycle designer 8.0 and adobe acrobat reader 9.0.
It is showing the error as " The forms design tool for developing the form layout could not be started; either it is not installed or there are errors in the installation".
Suggest Me.

Print adobe Form in CRM

Hello,
i´m new with ADOBE Forms in SAP CRM.
I created a ADOBE Form to printout the CRM 7.0 service order.
But i do not know how to trigger the printout.
In the post processing framework i found under external communication PDF-Form. Here i need a implementation of BADI DOC_PERSONALIZE_BCS.
Is this the right point to trigger the printout of ADOBE pdf in CRM?
Or ist there a better solution?
If yes, could somebody provide a working example for this BADI implementation which i can adjust for my needs please.

Attaching photos to an Adobe Forms response

Good Morning:
Is it possible to attach a photo / photos along with responses to an Adobe Forms survey form? I would like to send a marketing survey to our physicians and have them attach a photo of themselves to the survey. Please advise, thanks.

What's abnormal about it? That's how you were always meant to do it.
The change was made to the format of the iPhoto library because many users were inadvertently corrupting their library by browsing through it with other software or making changes in it themselves. If you're willing to risk database corruption, you can restore the older functionality simply by right clicking on the iPhoto Library and choosing 'Show Package Contents'. Then simply make an alias to the folders you require and put that alias on the desktop or where ever you want it. Be aware though, that this is a hack and not supported by Apple.
And, if you think it was not necessary then bear in mind that today on the v6 forum there are at least three people who have done this, and that's just this morning.

Trouble with field output conversion when activating the Adobe Forms

Hi everybody,
I'm facing an issue very strange.
I made an interactive form for a customer which is based on abap dictionnary and send by e-mail to user. This form works fine and is in Production system .
Now i made an evolution on this form and when i activate the forms in SAP , all the field conversion are lost so when i got the form Date fields appears with 00000000 if they are empty.
To solved this issue in Development system , i delete the form and recreate it and that's have been sold .
Now this issue appears in Quality system also after transport it...so i try to do the same way to solve it ...i create one transport order where the forms is deleted and another one to recreate it ..but the issue still alive.
I search on OSS and don't find any notes for this .
This issue also appears on aonther forms which is not interactive one ( purchase order printout ) .
I work on ECC 6.0 with AdobeLifeCycle Designer ES 2
Does anybody face this issue and solved it ?

Ok i will try to explain more clearly because i think there's a misunderstanding .
When you define an interface of Adobe forms you can choose between DDIC interface or XML interface. When you chose DDIC interface when you generate the form all necessary SAP CONVERSION EXIT are use when value are given to the XML file .
For example i got a field type datum define in my interface which is based on DDIC .
I place this field in the layout and set the edit mask in the layout with 'YYYY/MM/DD' for example.
Now i execute the forms and give value '00000000' to the field, normally what should appears in the result is : nothing because it's an initial value.
But in my case the value appears as '00000000' , the edit mask in the form is not taking into account and the conversion of value inside ABAP Stakc is not done.
When you have a look inside the function module generated by the form, you will fin a routine which name is %WORK and inside it you will see a routine which is %OUTPUT which is call for each field you want to print in the form .
If my field is correctly output on the form the data type is givent to this routine in order to make it correct and until now everuthnigs looks good for me but my issue is that the data type of field are not given to this routine so it consider each field as simple TEXT and that wrongs.

Adobe form not printing on A4 paperbut printing on letter format

Hi All,
We have made a form on letter format and its working fine.
However when treid tofire output to A4 size paper its not working.
Can some please help me with this,its not that I can change the paper size in my form from letter size to A4.
I want the smartform to be in letter format but I should be able to take the printout in A4 also along with letter format.
Please help me on this. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
Do you use a smartform or an Adobe form? You mention both. If it is a smartform and you specify LETTER in the form, then acommand is sent to the printer to select paper size LETTER. Similarly if you specify DINA4 in the form, then acommand is sent to the printer to select paper size A4.
You can specify page format INCH12 in the form and then no command is sent to the printer so the default paper size of the printer will be used.

Adobe forms - No scroll bar for Display only fields

I am using adobe forms for SAP Enterprise Portal. i am using these in Worklfows. In the form there is a text field with no size limit and Allows Multiple Lines. Any amount of text is allowed to be entered. when the form is viewed by the next person, the script in the form make the field as read only. This is as expected.
Problem: If there are multiple lines the scroll bar does not appear for the field. Entire content is not visible. Printout of the form prints the entire text from the field. In edit mode the scroll bar is displayed!!

ADOBE FORM - Start subform on current page only if space is there

Hello,
i have created an adobe form for printout of CRM business partner details.
The form consists of several subforms.
Each subform consists of a text as header and a table.
examples for the subforms:
- contact persons of account
- opportunities of account
- quotations of account
- orders of account
- servicerequests of account
now i face the issue that in some cases the header text of the subform is on the end of one page and the table starts at the next page. How can i configure my adobe form in a way that subform starts only on current page if there is enough space for at least 1 table entry?

Sorry but i do'nt think that's possible to check dynamically if there is enought place on the form for at least one table line .
Perhaps you can explore this kind of solution
Subform 1 => Table content => Allow page break
Subform 1-1 => "New Header" this one can't allow page break
Subform 1-1-1 => Real Header
Subform 1-1-2 => First item
Subform 1-2 => Items form line 2 to x.... Allow page break
For this you must modify the context of the form because your table will be read from line 2 to ... and you must add a single record for line 1.
Also if you want to repeat the real header forms on page break, you can set it on subform 1-2 when overflow is needed.

Hi,
Normally the purchase order printout is associated with NEU output type. You can see this from header->messages tab in Me22. Once you are sure about what output type you are going to use, then you can configure the output type via SPRO transaction. MM->purchasing->Messages->Output Control-> Message types->Define message types for purchase order.
there you can enter your program name , form routine in "Processing Routines" node . Once you ensure that there are condition records entered for this to happend , then whenever a purchase order is created , the output type is triggered automatically and you end up having a printout available for your use as required.

Dynamic page length in Adobe Forms for paper roll printing

Hi gurus,
I have a requirement to create an invoice printout using a thermal printer with paper roll feed. Depending on the number of line items I have on my document the page could grow to an indefinite length. Is this something we could achieve using Adobe forms and ABAP?

In the end we just added a second page and expanded the content area up to the borders of the page. This produces quite a gap in the paper in between pages but we were able to eliminate it thru the use of the printer's paper back-feed commands.

Are Loops possible in Adobe forms? like smartforms

Yes you're correct; in fact, I was talking of generating PDF files, not displaying them (for display I don't know, but the way I understood how ADS works, I guess it's not possible too).
I heard that there is one workaround : create a form with a multiple occurrence subform (but you must create it !)
Third-party tools : no experience of them (but if you look at the web, you'll find plenty of them : pdfcreator, adobe, pdfill, pdfsplit, gsview, pdftk, etc. See [list of pdf tools|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PDF_software])

Printing Issue for Labels in Adobe forms

Hi,
I have created a form for Label printing using Adobe Forms. Label size is 6.4 X 4.3 inches..The print preview is fine, even when i take the printout, the entire label can be seen. However onsite when the client is using his Label Printer, it is printing only the below half of the Label, i.e. Only Half the Label is being printed, that too below part.
Could someone guide me as to what can be wrong.

I too am facing the same problem. The print preview looks fin but when the client is using with his Zebra Label printer, it is eating out top 7 lines of the data and thus printing remaining data on the top half of the Label.

Printing Problem in Adobe Forms

We have created Adobe Form and it is working fine but the problem is with printout. when we issued output and click on
print, the output comes with larger font size. Is there any settings in output parameters for printing same as print preview?
