Hi Experts,
I am creating Adobe Interactive form,when i am saving it and activating it,it 's giving error like "Layout type 'unknown' is no longer valid".will you plz give the solution of this problem.

hi anjali,
check ur layout type..if u will not mention any type it will give this error...because by default it contains uunknown type.you can define it as ZCI or it may be standard layout..

Adobe forms - problem with the character "9"

I have the problem with printing Adobe forms that were introduced with Russian country version.
Funny enough I have no problems with russian characters. They all print all right.
We have however the problem with character "9". On the preview of the pdf it looks ok. When I print it from PDF preview it prints ok. But when I process it for sap to the HP output device (device type HPLJ4) "9" gets replaced with "<".
Has anyone experienced this problem?

ok, you're right. But, my problem is a little bit different :
I would like to replace the "\n" character (new line) by the 2 characters "\n".
I test this source code :

System.out.println(tmp);

The 3 results are the same :

I never have "First line\nSecond line".

Adobe Form - Problem with Cyrillic texts on zebra printers (ZPL)

Hello,
we have problems with an adobe form. We try to print this adobe form on a zebra printer with the device type "AZPL203". In this adobe form we have to print the material description in german and russian language.
When we print out the adobe form on a normal printer (e.g. HP) everything is fine. But when we print the form on a zebra printer, the russian textwill not be printed on the label. In the print preview of the form, we will see the correct russian text.
So can anybody help me?
Did anybody print cyrillic text on a zebra printer?

First.. I apologize because I know this is the wrong thread. But the folks in this thread apparently have the missing piece of info that I/we desperately need.. Could you please help me to understand what I'm missing, or at least point me to a forum with the answer?
We have a few tags that print to a Zebra Z105SL printer via Smartforms. But due to recent design changes in the tags, and a desire to stay up with current technology, we/I would like to design the new tags in Adobe PDF-forms. The design is not a problem, but we cannot get SAP and the Zebra printer to make nice and print anything. For now, I've created a simple tag with a text field and a couple of bar codes on it, just to test and prove that the Zebra will print a PDF. We are using PDF-forms for several of our business forms, so everything works, but the Zebra just won't print a PDF. I don't know what I'm missing.. I know it's possible, but I can't figure out the "how" part. Could you please let me know how you did it?

Adobe Form - Problem of data not refreshing each time the form is called

Dear All,
I have created a web dynpro component comprsing of two views.
In the first view i am displaying an ALV which is bound to an internal table.
After selecting one record i click on a button which calls the second view and in the second view
i am displaying an adobe form.
i have provided a native wd submit button which again calls the first view.
The first time when i select the record it works fine and shows me correct data.
but second time onwards it shows me the data one previous to the current row selected.

Instead of using in the java code.
For the html page and in jsp pages use the following code
1) Coding Method:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="PRAGMA" CONTENT="NO-CACHE">
2) Browser setting:
You can adjust the space to store the temporay files. On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options, On the General tab, click Settings. you can select the newer version radio button also, adjust the "amount of disk space to use" slider towards the left side(equivalent to disable the cache)..

ADOBE forms problem

Hello Gurus,
I'm new to ADOBE forms. I'm trying to create adobe print forms. I've included an exit in the UserExit Programming and written some code in the user exit include. When I run the print program, my user exit is not called. I checked the generated module, and there is no user exits there? Can any one please help me. How can I get the print program to invoke my user exit.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Adobe forms : problem with ZCI layout

Hi,
I am trying to run webdynpro application 'WDR_TEST_ADOBE'
Navigation path in it,
TestCases -> ZCI ->XML Shnittstelle -> Version 1 -> Editieren Form
Its opens up view with 'X' icon in interactive form area. Also it opens Adobe applciation. But the form is not visible.
Any idea on why the form is not visible ?

Downloading Adobe Form Problem...

Hi,
I have downloaded my FORM OBJECT using SFP Transaction(Utilities/Downloading Form) in ECC(DEV). Well, when I am trying to upload the same form in different system(IDES), I am getting an ERROR : Cannot upload due to wrong format. Well, the form is in XML format.
But when I tried uploading the form in the same system(DEV), I was able to upload it perfectly.
Is the FORM DOWNLOAD - System specific? Cant you upload and download into different systems like SMARTFORMS?
FYI...Both the systems(IDES and DEV) are on same level - ECC 5.0

this should work as you describe it (just like with Smart Forms), even for different system releases as long as they are above 6.40.

problem 2:
I can't input any data in input box or click any button even if I selected the property 'enabled' of the interactive form while my colleague can do it on his computer. Does it means that there are some thing wrong with my adobe reader?

Check that you have entries in the Table MARI. else you will get this message.

Adobe form print problem

Hi all,
I'm new to Adobe forms. I have created a new abode form and trying to execute the function module from SFP transaction itself.
after executing its asking for printer. there are three printers configured in my system. No matter which printer i selected, its throwing following error
Exception SYSTEM_ERROR
Message ID: FPRUNX Message number: 001
Message: ADS: SOAP Runtime Exception: CSoapExceptionTransport :(100101)
i dont know whether its adobe form problem or printer problem.
if its printer problem please let me know how can we configure new printer in sap?

I changed the printers device settings...That error is not coming now. But when i execute the adobe form it is not showing any output., and goes into endless processing..Can anybody suggest me what can be done?

Communication problem between Adobe Form and WebDynpro

I have the following problem and am thankful for any help I can get from you in order to solve it:
I created an Adobe Form in WebDynpro. In both the WebDynpro as well as in the Adobe Form, I created a Submit Button (which I binded to the same method) as well as a text field (which I binded to the same context attribute). When I do changes in WebDynpro, everything works fine and the changes are displayed in the Adobe Form as well.
But when I do changes in the Adobe Form, these changes are not submitted. Also the Submit button in the Adobe Form is not working.
I send the project to a colleague and she could deploy and run my project without any problems. So I think it is a problem with my settings or installation. I already did a reinstallation of the NW Developer Studio as well as the Adobe Lifecycle Designer. But it did not help.
Did anyone have a similar problem or has a suggestions what else I could do?

Hi Thorsten,
If the submit button doesn't do anything, it usually means there's something wrong with your client software.
Are you using NW04s or NW04? NW04 only supports ACF (Active Component Framework) forms, whereas NW04s also supports ZCI (Zero Client Installation) forms (there're different Submit buttons in Adobe LiveCycle Designer). Reader 7.0.9 should definitely work in all cases, but Reader 8.0 (and Reader 8.1, released yesterday) doesn't work properly with ACF forms (there's an SAP note on this subject).
To use ZCI forms, all you need is Adobe Reader at client side. To use ACF forms, you also need some other client software: either (the correct version!) SAP Active Component Framework (stand alone software that you can download from SAP Marketplace; it's part of some SAP note; search for xACF and select the correct version of the note). A better option is not to install xACF manually (uninstall it if present, using Control Panel > Add/Remove programs), but to use the ActiveX control instead (reinstall it in your case because of the problem you have). First kill the AcroRd32.exe process, if it is running. Then go to "C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files" and delete the file AdobeControl(s) (NW04) or AcfControls (something similar; NW04s) if present. Then access your form in your Web Dynpro application using IE (Firefox doesn't support ActiveX; the only option is to use ZCI forms with non-IE browsers). If all goes well, prior to displaying the form, IE should ask to install an ActiveX control (it will only be asked if you have sufficient privileges, that is belong to the local Administrators group).

Problem in submit button on adobe form integrated with web dynpro

Hello,
I'm facing prob in triggering web dynpro event onSubmit for Interactive form.
I've created a submit button from web dynpro activex pallete on adobe form (integrated with web dynpro) to send the form as email.
Then in the web dynpro view where this form is embedded i have created an action against onSubmit event and called a method within this.
However, on clicking Submit button this event is not getting triggered.
Please let me know what is lacking in this process?

I am also facing the same problem. i have developed a simple scenario under which user have to input his/her details and on submit button it will be updated to database.
I have tried the above solution but after adopting this solution all the editable fields become non-editable.
so the above solution is not working for me could you help me out.

When you create the Adobe Form from WebDynpro, you need to follow one step in SFP Transaction or inSE80 transaction. Open the Adobe Form in any one the transaction and now in SAP menu bar "Utilities" in that you will find the "INSERT THE WEBDYNPRO SCRIPT" just click on that one. Then you will see a new Script Object is being created with the name "ContainerFoundation_JS" under the "Variables" in the Heirarchy of the Object Pallete of the Adobe Form.
This step is mandatory to use the SUBMIT Button of the "WebDynpro Native", to trigger the OnSubmit event of the WebDynpro.

PDF Attachment problem in Adobe form and send mail is not working

Dear Experts,
 Recently i'm facing a problem regarding Adobe form PDF attachment and sending an e-mail along with the PDF attachment to customer mail id.But when i execute the RFC Function module, in customer side no mail is comming. And when i check the transaction SBWP then i found that the PDF attachment hold only 1KB of data which is not right.For that i'm sending my code which i was declared in my program.Can anybody please help me to overcome this problem?

I am getting one dialogbox with error message when ever i activate adobe form in transaction code sfp.
ERROR is :
THis form refers to external files which where not found on this computer. please create a connection to the following folder so that these files can be found.

Problem during view Adobe Form in Web Request

Hi All,
I am facing problem while viewing the adobe form inside the Web Request form.
Let me describe the issue clearly.
I need to have a table in Adobe Form.So i created one table type and bind it to the table structure created, in Adobe Form.
Then i uploaded the form as web request successfully.
Now when i m trying to view the form from web ui, its unable to assign child node data at runtime.so dump is coming.
Can anyone show light on this....i have tried all the possibilities.
Unfortunately there is no standrad scenario available for reference.

If you will go to tcode CRM_UI and log in using business role CRMGRMPRGMAN, then go to Application and open one application.Here there is one assignment block called 'Application Form'. Here i have uploaded my Adobe Form as web request.
This is working fine when i have simple linear form.
But when i am using table inside the form and doing binding for it, Application is getting created with that form but while openning it here in the assignment block, dump is coming as below.Its not able to assign the child node.

Problem with Table display in Adobe Form of Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi Team,
I'm trying to display a table in Adobe Print Form (not interactive). The table is bound to the context node in the Web Dynpro ABAP where the cardinality is 0:N. I get a short dump. Don't know what to do here. I'm able to display individual fields from my context successfully. Looks like something is missing when I try to display a table. Any pointers to display a data table in Adobe? Any step by step example you know of where I can find out what I did wrong? Many thanks for your time

We upgraded our system(2004S) to SP10 so that we can use the ADOBE form printing in Web Dynpro ABAP but could not apply note 1034425 because of the validity constraints in SNOTE. All the pre-requisite notes are already in the system apart from one note 1029721 which talks about supporting input helps. We don't want to use input helps in our system and cannot upgrade to SP11 because of problems with Business functionality.
Questions:
1) Is note 1034425 absolutely dependent on 1029721?
2) If NOT, can someone please correct the validity so that we can implement using SNOTE.
3) Would it be OK if we manually apply the changes specified in 1034425 without implementing 1029721?
4) If all of the above is not applicable, is there any other note which fixes the above mentioned short dump.
Your help in this matter will greatly help us in using the ADOBE services provided by SAP WDA.
