Adobe Form (standard) how to set paper weight?

We realized an Adobe Form related to deliveries. The form is printed on a paper with the weight of 160g (which is the double of a normal paper).
When the printer settings are put correctly to 160g the print out releases an error message.
Apparently the form message does commit a paper weight parameter to the printer. The missmatch (form: "normal" paper / printer: 160g) does release an error message. Where does the parameter for the paper weight in the Adobe Form can be found? Where can we change it?
When we change the printer settings to normal paper the form is printed. But with a low printing quality due to the false settings.
Printer is a RICOH Aficio SPC430DN.

in the form itself you are able to set the specific paper. You should change it here to A4 Special and afterwards modify your XDC-File to this special output-format. To do this you may need someone of the basis-guys also.
Paperformat must be located somewhere when you click on masterpage in your tree. I do not got a system available at the moment

I am new to ADOBE forms and I have a requirement to develop a new Purchase Order Adobe Form . I need to confidure output types too. I am copying 'NEU' to 'ZNEU', and form name 'MEDRUCK_PO' to 'ZMEDRUCK_PO', but what would be the program name and form routine? How would I know the program name and form routine for new output type/form combination.

I am working on exactly same thing - customizing pdf form MEDRUCK_PO.
I copied MEDRUCK_PO to Z_MEDRUCK_PO and put my changes into the form.
You will use transaction SPRO to display the current routine and form and put your changes into effect.
SPRO-> click tab SAP Reference Image->Material Management->Purchasing->Messages->Forms(Layout Sets) for Messages->Assign Form and Output program for Purchase Order.
In the Form column change the form name to yours - Z_MEDRUCK_PO for example. You can also change the routine name if you want.
Take a look at SAPFM06P, specifically at includes FM06PE03 and FM06PE04.
You will find routines adobe_entry_neu, adobe_entry_mahn and adobe_entry_aufb in FM06PE03. They call routine adobe_print_output located in FM06PE04.

How to set PAPER SIZE in PRINT VIEW

I am missing a step here in printing to Tabloid paper size.
How do I set the paper size in the actual document or on the actual sheet?
I am in Print View and I am guessing that it is showing the Sheets for my document as printing on 8 1/2 x 11 paper which appears to mean that no matter what I do - once I go to Print (like printing to Tabloid paper size) that this document will print at 8 1/2 x 11 even if it is printing on 11 x 17 paper.
I understand that I need to move the slider to get the document to fit on the paper but it appears that right now I am doing this simply to get the document to fit on 8 1/2 x 11.
Is there a setting somewhere that tells Print View what paper size to use? Is this set by Individual Sheet?

I am getting a bit confused as to how to print on various size paper and how to SAVE THESE SETTINGS.
For EACH SHEET I have to do the following:
First I pulldown to the Printer and the Page Size in INSPECTOR
THEN I scale the Sheet Manually to fit this paper in PRINT VIEW
THEN I run PRINT?
Now what?
Is there a way to get this to Print in Color instead of Black and White?
Can I make some PRESETS somewhere that will let me print to this printer at Tabloid size in Color and then in Black and White and also make some PRESETS that will let me print 8 1/2 x 11 and 12 x 18 so I can just pulldown to these?

Forms Personalization: how to Set default value to field

Hi all,
I have trouble with to fill in a field with an initial value where in defined an LOV.
When I open the screen "Contract Commitment" via the responsibility "Contract Commitment Super User" I would like to see a initial value in the "Type" field in "Details" tab. I have tried some cases but with no result.
Could someone point me to a solution or give me a hint how to solve this issue via forms personalization?

Block: ACCESS
LOV: ACCESS_TYPE_LOV

I can use INITIAL VALUE only with WHEN-NEW-RECORD-INTANCE trigger. In my case this is not usefull but wel correct advise.
I need the trigger WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE and I have used VALUE property
I could notice that there are 2 other fields which have also LOV on them in the same screen.
if I gave these fields (ACCESS.NAM and ACCESS.CC_ACCESS_LEVEL_DESC) a defualt value then it was working for them but not for the first field (ACCESS.CC_ACCESS_TYPE_NAME)
I have solved my issue with a trick as follows:
In the same personalization I have created a new action row with a sequence earlier than ACCESS.CC_ACCESS_TYPE_NAME action and the field CC_DESC is also earlier in the screen than ACCESS.CC_ACCESS_TYPE_NAME. So I have given this field (CC_DESC ) a value as '' (SPACE). So I could manange to see the defualt value in ACCESS.CC_ACCESS_TYPE_NAME field.

Help: How to set paper layout to Landscape

I am working on a report and I am trying to set the paper layout to Landscape. I were able to set the width to 11' and length to 8.5' for header and trailer section, but I can't set made the same setting for the main section. Here is the message that I got when I attempted to set the height in the main section to 8.5':
REP-801: Layout canvas must remain large enough to fit all layout objects.

You obviously have objects lying outside of those dimensions. What I would do is this:
1) save your report under a different name
2) select all the objects in your main section, and do a cut.
3) change the pagesize to your landscape dimensions
4) paste back in the objects
I think that should work.

Forms 10g : How to set the Database Item property for an item dynamically ?

I have a requirement where I need to set the database item property of an item to TRUE/FALSE
dynamically at runtime based on certain conditions.
Earlier, in forms 6i I've used,
Set_Item_Property (<item_name>, DATABASE_ITEM, PROPERTY_TRUE);
But in Forms 10g it doesn't recognize this Database_Item property and gives a compilation error.
Have I overlooked something or has this property become obsolete in Forms 10g ?
If obsoleted what is the replacement property ?

I believe you standard text is a table type of TDLINES.
On the form you would display it with a table of 1 column 1 row with repeat row ticked.
Have the like below code on the fomr ready event of your table.

Note: in my example I had a table with one row names Row1 and 2 fields cell1 type textbox, & xx as text / label.
If its like you have it in a text box with multiple entries, we need to spli the value such that 1st row is displayed in a text box whose parameters are by defeult set to font red, and rest of them to this text area.
If your procedure is table the code sud work, else let me know how you get data and how do you display it on the screen.

Adobe Professional 10 - How to set the import paper size to letter or A4 (for example). The only option is automatic and it scans legal size. Normally the options would appear but I have no options other than "automatic".

Also there is a New tool called Adobe Flex whose integration with SAP is being discussed and worked upon in experimental stage .. the said tool has vertical text capability
but its not recommended because of lack of extensive testing with regards to Association with SAP

How to upload Graphic in ADobe forms

Hi Guru,
I have a requirment to upload the Graphic to Adobe forms .
How to I use the logo(Graphics) which is stored in the application server
I have 2 sales organizations which has different "LOGOs" used. Same Adobe form is used to print Invoices for both sales organizations. When I print Invoice for a particular sales organization, I need to print its "LOGO" and when same adobe form prints the invoice for another sales organization it should print its logo.
How can i control the above situation dynamically ?

Hi Raju,
Images in a Adobe form can be embeded in 2 different ways.
Approach1: This is static approach form would have only one image at all times which is refered by the file name (alter natively if you can manage to place different images with the same file name at runtime then this can be dynamic)
1) have the image located in the application server path.
2) Have the Emage lement in Adobe form pass the file location path to the element source.
3) At run time it will fetch the file from the location.
Approach2: (I am not a core abaper so not sure how its done but we have done it for a mobile application)
1) using your abap code read the image from the location (find out how to pick the org specific's image).
2) convert the image into byte stream.
3) pass on this byte stream to the form via a string field.
4) in the form have the image field.
5) this time here instead of selecting the path, bind it to this particular field from the data source.

Aaaaah, my mistake, sorry for that. Of course you should use the XML interface and I forgot it is not described in this tutorial. You can easily find another one where the XML based interface is used. But... you won´t need any tutorial. just create a WD context. Place a Interactive form element on your WD app screen, in the attributes you need to maintain the form template name. If you write a name suitable for you which no existing forms uses, the system will offer you to generate a XML based interface and right after that it will "send" you to the SFP transaction. That means you can like skipi the step defining the interface because it it is generated automatically and you only draw the layout for this generated interface.
You should use XMl based interface for your WD app, because when using the ABAP dic based, some features are not available (I am not sure, but ABAP based works only for print form or something).

Problem in Alignment - Adobe Forms

I am new to Adobe forms technology.
I have an production issue: When they run a standard report to generate a PDF pay stub in R/3, it looks fine with all the columns. But when the same pay stub is viewed though our ESS on portal (Company website), few values in the columns are good but few of them are not aligned. They are moved to the left.
So what can be the problem?
What are the things I need to check?
How do I see the Adobe form? How is the adobe form being passed to the portal?

Few fields have reference to table XBT. But when I see this in SE 11, such a table is not existing at all.
Can any of you share some ideas or clues?
