Can't download Adobe Application Manager. Keep getting "Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure: The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit." What do I do? I've tried several times and I keep getting the same thing.

Error when trying to re-install Adobe CC: Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure

My subscription expired while away on holidays. I renewed my subscription and have tried to re-install without success. The first issue I had was with administrator permissions on my pc. I have fixed this but now get an error stating that the product I am trying to install is counterfeit. I have searched through Adobe's troubleshooting but I can't see anything that matches this error. My OS is Windows 7. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I have followed these steps previously, without success. Step 1 is where I started having problems, where the download stops towards the end stating the product is conterfeit. Regarding step 2: The only other CC product I have is LR. I have followed step 2 and installed updates, then re-attempted step 1 and still receieved the same pop up. I have tried step 3 several times now (including after updating LR), each time it finishes with a pop up to install Winzip (for a fee). I don't understand why I would need Winzip to re-intall a product I was able to install without Winzip originally.
Any other suggestions?

This is the third DVD I have purchased that tells me the same thing. I am running Windows 7, have plenty of room to load this product. Is there some missing file or something I need to do to get beyond this?

I have the upgraded cs6 premuim suite with license and was loading it on a bigger ssd (I had disabled the product on the smaller drive). It loaded fine, got the code # plus the code # from the previous version cs5.5. But now it won't let me get the updates on cs6, I got the adobe genuine software verification failure...now what?

I'm try to install Adobe Design & Web Premium CS6 of KMUTNB license in the university network (i'm staff of KMTNB email:<e-mail removed by Moderator>).
When the installer installed about 10% it show message "adobe genuine software varification failure. The product you are trying to install is not an adobe genuine software and appears to be counterfeit." and stop install.
Please resolve my problem.

The Verification does not recognize the proper email address, used to sign-on the membership.The verification is trying to use an old account, which no longer exists, instead of the one established, for the membership, which is valid. I need Adobe CS6, it can't wait for trouble-shooting issues to keep arising. I made the mistake of recycling the original disks, thinking it was already replaced with a new version and corrupted, due to a hard disk crash. I need this software NOW and it's too costly, to purchase the boxed version, without a educational discount. I may use that discount in the future, but this project can't wait.

Can any one help me with this issue. I earlier installed it from DVD but, i am unable to find DVD. I have a copy of full DVD Dump in network.

It was because i was installing directly from network dump.
I've managed to install and register software.

I bought and downloaded Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 from Amazon, which would seem to be a legitimate source. Everything runs smoothly, and seems correct up until the point of installation, when this happens after the installation process reaches 99%. The message simply reads: "The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit." This doesn't seem right. What is going on? How can I successfully install Elements?

Could you provide some details on how are you trying to the software. Did you download it from the Creative Cloud website via the Adobe Application Manager?
This error was reported in in past, due to a certificate revocation. That was a long time ago though, and so am not sure if thats the reason in your case. Just to be sure though, coudl you run through the instructions in the following document so that we can remove this as a probable cause. In general, this error indicates that the file may not be the exact file that was sent from the Adobe servers. The check is done to ensure that any malware has not been injected into the file by unscrouplous entities. This error could also possibly be due to a corrupt download. It may happen due a spotty or slow internet connections. If you're downloading again, use a wired connection rather than a wireless connection.

Have you managed to install the product? If so, Launch the editor and then go to:
Help >> Sign in
When you do this you might get a box to enter the serial number, so try it. To insert the serial number, you need to copy and paste it from the email you must have received from adobe.
Activation is an automatic process these days because everything is cloud computing these days. This allows you to have two machines (or even three !!!) loaded with Adobe products. all you need to use the products on all your machines is to sign out from one and sign in on another. It is as simple as that.
I haven't tried 13 yet but this was the case in 12 as far as I can remember.
