Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:

If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative. -
Help!!! Problem with flash player download
I've tried everything here & still can't download the flash player. Anytime I try to download it asks me to install ADM add-on and then when I click on that, my computer freezes. How do I enable this add-on without my computer freezing? Can anyone help pls?
As has been discussed on these forums thousands of times, Adobe does not make a flash player for iphone/ipad/ipod and likely never will.

Help, we're having problems with Flash Player
Hi.
Up until yesterday we had flash player and it was working normally. Yesterday when we went onto IE8 we didn't have it any longer. Me and my mun tried downloading flash player for Windows XP on Internet Explorer again. We untick the box saying to add a google toolbar which is optional. We click the download button at the bottom of the page and on the download page a blue box is meant to come up involving ActiveX. The page comes up with the blue box but then the page goes off and a new page coming up with a cross in a red circle and next to it, it says "Internet Explorer has closed this webpage to help protect your computer" "A malfunctioning or malicious add-on has caused Internet Explorer to close this webpage. Below this it comes up with a list of options:
Go to your home page
Try to return to Adobe.com

We have tried clicking "Try to return to Adobe.com" many times and repeating the same process but the same thing still happens.
We don't know what to do as without Flash Player there is a limited number of things we can do. We have tried altering some of our settings but still no luck. Can you see the animation and what version of Flash Player does it say you have?
If you use any other browser, test with it too.
Are you the Administrator and are you using that Account? It is necessary when Installing Flash Player.
After that you can download the Uninstall and SAVE it to your Desktop:

Then download and SAVE the Installer for Internet Explorer to your Desktop:

What happened to my keywords? Since the last update of aperture I can't see my keywords anymore! Every photo (1000s of images) had several keywords, but they're all gone. (Or at least I can't see them anymore.) Who will help me find them back?
You need to enable the display for metadata in Browser and Viewer.
There are several places how whereyou can turn it on; for example, from the main menu bar "view" menu:
View > Metadata display > Viewer > Show Metadata
View > Metadata display > Browser > Show Metadata
You need to configure the Metadata shown in these overlays.
Use
View > Metadata display > Browser > Customize
Enable all tags you want in the left column of this panel. The "keyword" are enabled in the "Content" section of the left colum.

I am having a similar problem on my machine. I was using Word 2008 and I created a PDF inside Word.
I am opening the file on the system itself and I am running Windows 8.1. I am using Version 11 of Reader.
When the PDF I created (my resume) attempts to open, it says: cannot find or create the file Times, Bold. Some characters may not display or print correctly.
However, the entire Reader keeps freezing and will not allow me to open or test print the document. Also, it is not displaying any of the Bold Times New Roman Print. Can you please help? Thanks. -

Flash Builder 4 - Mobile (Adobe read this!)
This is the second time I've written this letter. The first was a five-paragraph rant detailing the chronicles of my journey into mobile using the Adobe tools. This time, however, I've decided to break it down in a different way. It goes like this:
- Adobe spends considerable effort trying to convince Flash (AS3) developers to migrate to Flex (Flash Builder)
- After spending time with Flex, I am one of those who is convinced by the ease and power of what it offers. I buy Flex (Flash Builder)
- Adobe announces it will provide support for building iOS application but insists you use (buy) Flash CS5.
- Support (and methods) for using Flash Builder to create iOS applications is complex, messy and tedious at best.
- I buy an iPad ($3500), pay for an Apple developer account($100) and start using Flash CS5.
- I have to strip out the AS3 from my Flex project to bring it into Flash CS5. (Abandoning all the Flex components that made it great in the first place)
- I get my AS3 application running locally on my iPad. Despite every effort, it runs considerably slow (to my surprise)
- Apple makes it's TOS changes, restricting 3rd party developer tools.
- I'm now **** out of luck getting my Flash based application public (iTunes Store)
- Adobe starts to turn it's attention to Android (a move I fully supported despite my own shortcomings)
- AIR for Android starts to unfold. So, I start taking a look at it in addition to downloading the Android SDK.
- Publishing anything to an Android device, using Flash Builder, is (again) a complex, messy and tedious task. Command lines etc.. nightmare.
- Now, Apple reverses it's TOS policies.
- More Android 2.2 Froyo devices begin to emerge now (especially tablets like the Galaxy)
So, at this point I digress.
So, Adobe. You wanted us to migrate to Flash Builder. So, we did. This, by the way, means we BOUGHT the software. ($780)
So, you want to demonstrate Flash's power to publish to mobile devices. (meaning, now, iOS and Android)
ALRIGHT THEN, WHY DONT YOU SPEND SOME TIME GETTING FLASH BUILDER 4 UP TO PAR ALREADY? WHY DON'T YOU MAKE PUBLISHING FOR BOTH PLATFORMS (iOS and ANDROID) MORE ELEGANT NOW? WHY SHOULD WE HAVE TO BUY FLASH CS5 NOW THAT WE'VE FINALLY COME ON BOARD WITH FLASH BUILDER? WHY DONT YOU SPEND SOME TIME PROVIDING AN ELEGANT SOLUTION FOR MOBILE PUBLISHING - LIKE YOU'VE ALREADY DONE FOR FLASH CS5 (MONTHS AGO). I SHOULD BE ABLE TO FILL OUT A FEW FIELDS, SELECT A FEW OPTIONS FROM A MENU AND PUBLISH MY APPLICATION FROM FLASH BUILDER. NOT DOWNLOAD SDK'S, DOWNLOAD SPECIAL BUILDS OF AIR AND FLASH PLAYER ON A WEEKLY BASIS. GET FLASH BUILDER 4 UP TO PAR SO WE CAN WRITE ONCE AND PUBLISH (PUSHING A BUTTON) TO BOTH iOS AND ANDROID WITHOUT SPENDING HOURS FIGURING OUT HOW TO GET IT ALL WORKING.Again, my issue is not with Flash Builder itself. In fact I think Adobe is doing a tremendous job regarding many things at this juncture. They've been under a considerable amount of pressure, especially since Apple tried to declare Flash an obsolete technology. I'm proud of Adobe and Flash - which I thoroughly enjoy working with. I also enjoy working with Flash Builder.
My issue is in regards to support. It's that simple. I understand that many features take time to prepare prior to their public release. This is obvious. There are a lot of tests to be made prior to even a first release. My issue is a specific one. It is in regards to Flash Builder and their attitude towards this piece of software as it relates to this "mobile storm" that has approached. Everything is about MOBILE, MOBILE, MOBILE. Well, ok.. it's about mobile. Adobe really only has two (count that, 2!) pieces of software that creates Flash content. (and NO, that isn't a lot). There's the Flash IDE and Flash Builder, which is SUPPOSED TO BE FOR DEVELOPERS. One would think that more time would have been spent of getting ELEGANT mobile publishing solutions into Flash Builder at this point. I'm tired of reading one massive pdf after another just to understand what the hell I'm supposed to be doing. AND.. on top of this.. they get simple, fluid, elegant solutions into the FLASH IDE in the meantime. iPhone, Android publishing with the click of a button in the Flash IDE? DONE! Months ago.. Flash Builder 4 with the same capabilities? Nothing. Command lines... Terminal windows.. give me a break. -

I have been a loyal customer for years and have a hot spot because internet options are very limited in our rural area. I have stayed with 10G since the beginning. Most months I don't use the 10G. Verizon has no problem with me paying for Data I don't use. This month my daughter comes home from College and she accidentally uses 24G.....14 over get blind sided with $140.00 in overages. I called Verizon today......stopped in to the store today......My neighbor told me they waved charges for her one time. Lots of charges.....But I'm am getting no help. Not even an offer of a payment plan to help me out. I went back just 6 months and I have over paid for 19G.....Seems like they would like to help out their loyal customers!!!! Does anybody have any suggestions on how to deal with them? We are not wealthy....or I would just pay this and walk away......
There is a big misconception in what customers believe a cell carrier is obligated to do.
You pay a set price to use up to that amount of xx data. It makes no difference if you use it to the paid limit or way under. Its like peace of mind when you don't have to worry about a data counter.
Your daughter used the data, your plan is quite clear of what overage charges are. Why should or would Verizon wireless just forgive the charges because you are a customer? Your daughter used the data, get the money from her. That is the responsible thing to do.
There is no "I have been a loyal customer so please remove the $120, or $250, or $2,000.00 since I did not mean to use it"
Your electric company, or gas company or any other company does not remove valid charges. Why should Verizon wireless?
Just pay the invoice and don't think you are being mistreated because Verizon is a business and not a charity.

Adobe AIR 2 Beta with Flash Builder 4 Beta 2
I'm trying to figure out how to use AIR 2 with Flash Builder 4. I was initially under the impression that FB4 has AIR2... but the when I create a File object and try to call the function openWithDefaultApplication(). An error occurs saying the function doesn't exist. This is the AIR application I created in FB4. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to install AIR 2 somehow -- and if so, how do I do so?

Thanks in advance.Download the AIR 2 SDK, make a new copy of the Flex4 SDK (or whichever Flex SDK you want to use) and copy the AIR SDK over it. (If you are on the Mac, you have to be careful that the directories themselves aren't overwritten -- just the files inside them.) You then add the combined SDK to the list in the Flash Builder project properties dialogs.

Very doubtful - Apple don't want it (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/) and Adobe have never managed to make it for iOS and they've now given up on it.
There are browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter Puffin and Photon which 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store, and there is the built-in YouTube app for that site. -
