Adobe Ideas file sync problems

I'm using Adobe Ideas on a third Gen iPad with iOS 7
None of my files will sync to creative cloud. The sync process message simply alternates between 'awating connection', 'analysing' and complete but nothing happens to the files. The progress bar on each file remains grey.
I have a stable wifi connection
I have tried reloading the app and restarting the iPad
I have tried toggling snyc on and off
I have tried makign edits to files and creating new files to kick start the sync
Nothing is working
I know others have had this problem in the past but I cannot find a solution anywhere on the forum that helps me.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one experiencing this problem. I wish I had a response to it. I'm on the phone with Adobe support right now about it. Have you found a fix since you posted this?

How can I group fetched Adobe Ideas files into projects?

How can I group fetched Adobe Ideas files into projects? The overview tutorial did not warn to organize your files prior to the one time fetch option. In Draw FAQs it is stated that drawings can be organized into projects. However, I am unable to determine how. If anyone has insight, please advise. I have so many ideas files that navigating Illustrator Draw is difficult.

If you go to the Overview page, there is a thread about importing from Ideas. It says:
"To organize your files prior to importing into Draw, you can put them in folders in Creative Cloud or on your desktop. Individual Ideas files imported to Draw will come in as single-page projects. Each folder containing Ideas files will be imported as a Draw project containing the imported Ideas files."
Not sure if you can put individual drawings into Projects together on the device, but would be interested to hear if you come up with a solution.

you can import them, either directly or via the creative cloud.
I Dont like Draw. I love Adobe ideas.
and ones you import them they are a lot Haarder to keep Track on, since you can only look at one project at a time. Its just not as simple as ideas.

Cannot email adobe ideas file on ipad

I'm having a lot of trouble emailing my adobe ideas file from my Ipad. I'm trying to send it to myself and that won't work, so I tried sending it to 2 other people and neither of them have received it. There shouldn't be anything wrong with the email settings, and I don't see anything software update for the app. What can i do?

You can't. That's the whole point of digital rights management - it's locked to your device. You have to contact the original book vendor and ask them if you may get another try or simply buy the book again.

Adobe ideas not syncing keeps trying to open illustrator CC 2014

Hi I have got adobe ideas and it has been working fine. I bought a pressure sensitive stylus so have been using it again but I cannot for the life of me sync. I have read and re read all the info on these forums and there is no answer, I have uninstalled, signed in signed out etc but nothing has worked. One this that is strange it Illustrator CC 2014 is trying to open, I never knew I had this as I am using Illustrator CC. When I try and sync the CC 2014 trys to open and then quits with an error message saying reopen, ignore or report. I have looked in my CC on my mac and I can see CC2014 and it says up to date. Very annoying and frustrating I pay for the service and I have just bought an expensive stylus and now I can't get any files to upload in CC. I have updated a plug in in my CC which was for touch apps. Please help

Hi I just thought I would post on here what I have been doing since last night and all this morning!
I have solved the problem and this is how I did it;
I checked to see if Creative Cloud was working while syncing with Adobe Sketch app which I downloaded. It did work so I knew this was not the problem but ti took a bit of the for the file to appear in Creative Cloud folder.
Then I thought there must be a problem with Illustrator because I had Illustrator CC (2014) showing in my CC and not my desk top. Every time I tried to send anything to Illustrator CC (2014) from Adobe ideas, it kept trying to open and then crash. I found a good solution by following the instructions of the following help website from Adobe CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed I was having this problem and found the uninstaller of illustrator CC (2014) on my mac and uninstalled it. I also got rid of a file they tell you to get rid of. I signed out of CC and then signed back in and I saw Illustrator CC (2104) was ready to install again. I did this and waited ages as you do and I have just gone into Adobe ideas, sent a file to Illustrator and to my surprised has opened Illustrator CC (2104) without crashing and there is my file. Adobe Ideas files disappeared.

I'm having an issue with disappearing Idea files. I've been using Adobe Ideas for a while now on my personal iPad, and I've been working on a second iPad to create illustrations for work. Both iPads are signed into the same Adobe account. Last week I synced both accounts so that all of my files would show up on both iPads. Today, when I opened up Ideas on my personal iPad, Ideas updated all of the files, and all of my old files (from a 3 month span of time) disappeared. I can't find them in my Adobe account or anywhere else. Any ideas as to what could have happened, or how I can find these important files?

Adobe Ideas File Corrupted?

I big project I was recently working on stopped responding in the app and after restarting Ideas the file in question still suffered from slowdown and was unworkable. The file and a copy of it I made were saved in my CC, but were only visible as page icons and would not open in any program. I get this errror message:

Thanks for posting in regards to your issue, would you be willing to share the file that you are experiencing an issue with through Creative Cloud? Is the issue only with this one single file? Adobe Ideas having Sync issues

Hello,
I'm running into sync issues with Adobe Ideas on my iPad. I see that others are running into something similar as well, but no concrete answer as of yet. I figured I would post to let you know, for the sake of being heard .
I've tried signing out and in of my adobe account, restarting the iPad, shutdown the app and iPad itself, etc. with no luck as of yet.
Also on a side note that when I turn off the Sync feature in the app itself, Adobe Ideas tends to crash.
Below you will find the version of app I have, as well as the iPad model and iOS version:
Adobe Ideas version 2.8 (51557)
iPad Mini Retina (Model ME280C/A) Wifi Only
iOS 7.1.1 (11D201)

Hey Everyone,
Thought I would share this as I was just reading over the replies.
Have you heard of DiskAid ? It allows you to pull data from apps from your iOS device and transfer them to your computer and back. I was using this to tranfer my game saves of Terraria from my iPad mini to my iPhone and it worked great. I wonder if you can use this to pull the .idea file from Idea's and transfer it to your computer.
I haven't tried it to confirm, but it says you can transfer 'any' app data so it might be worth a shot. The basic license is free, while the premium is around $30. Check it out though, it may help .

File Sync problem

I have an odd problem
Whenever I am in the office, some files will not sync through the desktop app. However, when I leave and access any other network, they sync.
Are there any specific ports or something that CC's file sync uses that I should be aware of?

IPad Adobe Ideas File Format

I have some photos I have drawn on in Adobe Ideas on my iPad. I have emailed them myself on my iMac desktop computer. I would like to use them on my Blog, however how do I convert them to .jpg files? Thanks

Hi Sparkliie,
One easy way is to use the Save to Album option which sends your image to the native iPad Photos app (one with the Sunflower) and then just email yourself from there. I did that and it was pretty quick.

Adobe Ideas doesn't sync to Creative Cloud (browser)?

The files I have in Adobe Ideas on my iPad doesn't sync to Creative Cloud on my browser.
I have activated the sync function on the ipad and it says that the files are synced and I have used 1% (12mb of 2gb).
I go to creative.adobe.com and under Files it says 'The Folder Is Empty' - what can I do?

I hate to tell you, but I am yet one more user who cannot get Adobe Ideas files to sync to Creative Cloud.
I am using Adobe Ideas version 2.8.1 (52469) on an iPad3, using iOS 8.1. I have confirmed that I have a good wi-fi connections. I can access the web using all my other apps - Safari, Twitter, Feedly, etc.
When I try syncing files in Adobe Ideas, the Creative Cloud Files menu has "only sync when wi-fi is enabled" selected. Sync process shows "Awaiting connection." Storage level is 9% or 175MB of 2GB.
I downloaded the Creative Cloud app onto my Surface Pro tablet and checked to see if my Ideas files showed up there. I can see the files from Adobe Draw, Lines, Sketch, and other apps, but the Ideas files do not show up anywhere. I checked in both the mobile creations area and in the main files area.
I would like to migrate my Ideas files to Adobe Draw. Please let me know how I can get this done.

I Am a student in architecture and use my creative suite everyday. Is there anyway I can sync this, and other adobe apps, to creative suite or just creative cloud?

Hi! I think I need to better understand what you may be trying to do. The Adobe Ideas files can be synced to the Creative Cloud and accessed on the desktop for use within the Creative Suite; natively within Illustrator. If you can, let me know some additional details in regards to your workflow and I will attempt to provide a more comprehensive response.

Why do some of my adobe ideas files (ipad) show in creative cloud as adobe ideas logo only? The files have been synced.

Transparent backgrounds on Adobe Ideas?

How can I leave a transparent background on an Adobe Ideas file so I can save it on PNG?

Images with transparent backgrounds currently cannot be exported from Ideas. A (very roundabout) workaround would be to send the file via email to yourself or sync the file to your Creative Cloud account. Open the resulting file (either the one in your email or the one from your Creative Cloud account) on your desktop with Adobe Illustrator, then export as a PNG.
