Importing 2 photos on separate layers into adobe ideas

Is it possible to import more than one photo, on separate layers, from illustrator into adobe ideas? If it is then can you tell me how to go about this please.

Its only possible to have one Photo layer in Adobe Ideas at the bottom of the layer stack. I think the photo layer was meant for reference in relation to the Drawing layers above. I'm not sure if it helps, but in Adobe Photoshop Touch you can have muliple Photo layers.

I must say about a year ago I looked at adobe ideas and said that it was a wast of resources and that it had no good use case. about 3 months ago I looked at it on a weekend away from my main computer. I had a need for drawing. I love this app. Please continue to develop it. It is amazing. I was worried because the iPad has no pressure sensitivity, but muse works around this and it is excellent. Can it be better? Absolutely, but it is great for such a young program. Please Keep developing it and promote it more. I love this app. Did I mention that I love this app. Eventually I will have samples at www.billmurphy.ca

How come every time I bring in a new image into Adobe Ideas as a background it's a different size?

I created a multilayered stencil in Photoshop and each layer was exported as a TIFF. Then I uploaded those TIFFs to Adobe Creative Cloud. My idea was to trace each of the TIFFs using Adobe Ideas, which seems to work except, every time I bring in new TIFF as the background photo to trace, it's a different size.'
How come every time I bring in a new image into Adobe Ideas as a background it's a different size?

When importing images through the Photo layer in the layers panel, the image that comes in has a size that is dependent on the current zoom level of the document. This may explain why you are seeing different sizes. You can select the hand tool and double-tap on your sketch to return the zoom level to 100%. If you do this before importing your photo, then your photos should all be imported at the same size.

i don't see paint bucket (fill) or color selector...2 features from adobe ideas that are key features. will they be added to adobe draw soon?

You can scale the current layer by selecting the Layers panel and tapping on the ellipse for the layer. This will bring up controls for scaling, moving and rotating the layer. See the attached image.

Can you import fonts into Adobe Ideas and Photoshop Touch?

Ideas does not have the capability to add text to a project that you're working on. For Photoshop Touch, currently you can't import additional fonts outside of the ones that are included in the app. To promote the addition of this feature, you can vote an idea post that was created on the Photoshop Touch forum: http://forums.adobe.com/ideas/1314

Equivalent of Adobe Ideas opacity slider in Illustrator

Hi!
I use Adobe Ideas to create pictures, and then compile them in Adobe Illustrator.
In Adobe Ideas I set the opacity to some of my layers as very low; what is the equivalent to the Ideas slider in Illustrator?
Please don't answer unless you have specific experience of fixing this problem. I say that because I have searched Adobe Help for how to alter the opacity of a layer in Illustrator, but even the 'ghost' layers from Ideas (where the slider is at 0-20%) appear to be set as 100% opacity in Illustrator!
I tried this already, Illustrator Help | Transparency and blending modes already, but Illustrator says my 'ghost' layer is at 100% opacity, which is not what the slider shows in Ideas!

Adobe Ideas is now Adobe Illustrator Draw (aka Adobe Draw), and I will reply based on the latest version of Adobe Draw.
In Draw, you can set each stroke you draw using the transparency slider in the toolbar and you can set each layer using the transparency slider in the layers panel.
In Illustrator, as Monika wrote, you can set transparency at many different object levels.
When you send your Draw file from the iPad to Illustrator, transparency is maintained at the level you defined it. So, if you set transparency on a layer, open the Layers panel in Illustrator, target the layer (click on the circle for that layer at the right side of the Layers panel), open the Appearance panel and you'll see the % transparency for the layer. If you drew strokes with transparency, select those strokes (you'll see that they are actually filled paths or compound paths), and each of these objects will have the transparency that you originally drew with.
If this is not working for you, please post some screenshots to show what you're seeing.

How do I import my Adobe Ideas drawings to Illustrator Draw?

In Ideas, sign-in with your Adobe ID and enable Creative Cloud file syncing. All the Ideas files on your iPhone/iPad will then sync to your Creative Cloud account. When that’s complete, you can view your Ideas files at https://creative.adobe.com or on your desktop if you have the Creative Cloud desktop app installed.
To organize your files prior to importing into Draw, you can put them in folders in Creative Cloud or on your desktop. Individual Ideas files imported to Draw will come in as single-page projects. Each folder containing Ideas files will be imported as a Draw project containing the imported Ideas files.
After you’re organized your Ideas files on Creative Cloud, you can import them into Draw. Tap the Draw icon in the upper left corner of the app and select Manage Files. Tap on the ‘Fetch All Files’ button to perform a one-time import of all of your organized Ideas files stored on Creative Cloud into Draw. All layers and artwork will be preserved after import.

You would go to the folders where your master photos are and import those into Photos.
There's no "import from Lightroom" to speak of. Your metadata may come across if you're using XMP sidecars, but adjustments won't.

Hi Does somebody know how to import an Adobe Ideas sketch to Illustrator CS4 maintaining layers and vector capabilities?

Ideas was created long after CS4 and is not supported there.

Adobe Ideas Layer Merge

First, thanks for the update. With this new update you've brought many features I was hoping for and an already awesome app has become near perfect... Except for a few things. One of the biggest things I'm seeing that will need to be corrected is that when you merge layers you can't undo after confirming the merge. Today I did a sketch in Adobe Ideas with the pencil tool, lowered the opacity and started "inking" on layers above it. Everything was going great until I accidently merged my "inks" layers with the sketch layer bellow and, sadly, was unable to Undo the merge.
Hopefully, while this isn't a bug, this can be addressed in a future update.
Again, thanks for an amazing app that gives my iPad even more value.

Problems with syncing Adobe Ideas with Adobe Creative Cloud

Dear Sir/Madam,
Since yesterday (22.04.2014) I have problems with syncing Adobe Ideas (in my iPad) with Adobe Creative Cloud.
Could you please help me with this issue?

I do not understand why there is no professional communication about the problem. I get the impression that Adobe doesn't know that many people use their App as advertised: As a quick professional sketching tool that syncs with Creative Cloud. Not to fix the problem means more people not trusting the cloud idea. I am actually a big fan of the CC, mostly because of regular updates. But the mobile apps seem to fall out of the normal update scheme. Are they not as important as the 'main software'?
When will the bug be fixed? Just to make clear: As there - up to now - is no other way to get the original idea files on the computer the adobe idea app is useless unless you fix the problem and/ or include the possibility to sync files via USB.
Meanwhile my Workaround:
You need Phoneview or another software that shows the files on your mobile device.
Open it - choose "Apps" - click on "Show all Apps" - click on "Adobe Ideas"
Than go to:
Library/Private Documents/documents/data/files/
there you find folders with cryptic names
Download one of the folders
Open the Folder
select all files in the folder and zip them
Change the extension from .zip to .idea
and voila
you can open it with Adobe Illustrator!
A long way, but for now the only solution to get the editable vector file on your computer.

The pdf is loading as html code. If you save it, it will download as :

Change the extension to .pdf
And it opens and works perfectly, I just tested it:
