  • Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 crashes on start Windows 8

    Hello,
    I can't start Adobe Illustrator CC 2014.
When it shows "initialising" there is the program-window building up (only white screen) but then it crashes down (showing that the programm does not work anymore :/ )...
I allready tried all advises in this forum and others, but nothing worked (the Verdana/Tahoma issue and so on....).
Is there a way to solve the Problem?
    Please excuse my bad english.
    Thanks a lot!

Interestingly, my problem was only fixed for 2 days, but doing this fixed it. I removed everything relating to Wacom (drivers, etc.):
Issue | Illustrator CC crashes at launch
Users have reported that Illustrator crashes during or after launch. Specifically, using an input device (for example, a mouse, stylus, tablet device, or others) soon after you start Illustrator CC causes the application to crash immediately.
    Cause | Outdated device drivers:
This error occurs due to outdated Wacom device drivers on your computer. Updating the drivers (or uninstalling old or unused device drivers) fixes this issue. This issue can occur even if you do not have any Wacom device currently attached to your computer.
Solution 1: Update Wacom device drivers
Uninstall your current Wacom device drivers. See your Wacom product documentation, for information on how to uninstall the device drivers.
(Recommended for Mac users) If available on your computer, delete the file WacomMultiTouch.framework. To check for and delete the file:
In a new Finder window, click Go > Go to Folder > type /Library/Frameworks > click Go.
In the opened folder, check for a file named WacomMultiTouch.framework. If the file exists, delete it.
Visit the Wacom support site, and reinstall the latest Wacom device drivers for your computer.
Solution 2: Uninstall Wacom device drivers
If you are not using a Wacom device, uninstall the drivers associated with the device, and then launch Illustrator

  • InDesign CC 2014 crashes when creating alternative layouts

InDesign CC 2014 crashes when creating alternative layouts. I successfully created alternative layouts in 3 documents, now I cannot create any at all, it just crashes the program.

I just taught a class using Alternative Layouts in InDesign CC 2014 without crashing.
Start by telling us what kind of computer and operating system you're running. Are you having any other problems in InDesign CC 2014? Have you try restoring your preferences?

  • Adobe Illustrator (CS5) keeps crashing when I try to save my files

So in the last few weeks, my adobe illustrator has started acting up and won't save my files unless they are in the folder that the program makes itself. Those are usually files with long names that are a series of numbers and letters. Even if I copy and paste the name into a search, my computer isn't able to locate the folder, which makes it impossible to do any work because it will only save to one place. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it?

Does this help any? I'm trying to save my files to my desktop (or anywhere locatable for that matter) But it only allows me to save to this file for some reason. Even if I copy and paste the name of the file, it does not appear when I try to find my file outside of AI. When I try to choose a different location, I get the error message below

    I have Windows 7 32bit

    1. You have a pre-release Beta 1 version of what will become Firefox 4 in like 5 or 6 months. Unless you are intending to test it for flaws and report those flaws to help in the development process, don't use it.
    2. Did you create a new Profile for 4.0b1, and are you using that Profile with it? ''That isn't done automatically when you install 4.0b1, and those of us who have been doing the "testing" for many years consider a new Profile as the basis of doing out testing.''
IMO, Mozilla is making a huge mistake by directly offering these beta versions to the general public.
Also IMO. if you want to play with 4.0b1, use the Portable Firefox 4.0beta version to minimize any conflicts with a currently installed version of Firefox, and to eliminate the need for creating a new Profile for 4.0 Beta #:
Download Firefox Portable Test to your hard drive and double click the '''FirefoxPortableTest_4.0_Beta_#_English.paf.exe''' file. The entire installation (including a new Profile for "Portable") will be self-contained in the \Program Files\FirefoxPortableTest\ folder and won't interfere with an "official" version that you already have installed. Your Profile will be in the \Program Files\FirefoxPortableTest\Data\profile\ folder.
The "down side" is that Firefox Portable won't launch if any other version of Firefox is already running.

  • XP crashes when booting everything apart from safe mode

My PC (with K7N-ILSR mobo) has been running fine for ages. Suddenly now it's crashing when booting - it crashes for everything apart from safe mode. it also crashes on safe mode with networking. i've tried disabling the onboard LAN, unplugging the cable, etc without success. any idea what i can do to fix it?

    to dancing_bear,
try to resinstall the graphics card drivers in safe mode. this problem is likely due to corrupted graphics card drivers. if still fails, i suggest that u back up your data, then perform a reformat and reinstallation of the operating system.
if problem still persist after all these workarounds, then open up your pc chassics and observe all the cooling fans. make sure that are all working properly. (of course your pc has to be on) if any of the fan is not spining or spining very slowly, then its time to replace them. also not forgetting to check on the capacitors as well. they should not be bludging from the top or having brownish substances at the top or bottom of the capacitors. if you happen to see these, then send your motherboard for a recap.
    cheers

  • Fix found: Illustrator CS3 (PC) crashes when opening file or starting new file

    Issue:
-Running Windows XP, tried installing CS3 Web premium on a new machine.
-All programs worked well except Illustrator; when opening a file or creating a new one, illustrator would crash and give a message of "Microsoft has experienced an error" blah blah "Send error report?"
-when trying to "open with.." by right clicking on a file, it would crash as well but give the message "The file xxxxxx.pdf is not a valid Win 32 application." Blah blah. Same thing with .ai files, etc.
    Attempts to fix:
    -re-installed CS3
    -updated Illustrator to 13.0.1
    -switched users
    -cleaned up fonts
    Fix that worked:
-uninstalled pre-loaded version of Acrobat that came with PC.  I had a suspicion that the newer version of Acrobat on the new PC (9.5 or similar) might conflict with Illustrator, as the version of Acrobat to come with CS3 was 8 (I believe). This seemed to fix the problem.
    Cheers,
    Mike

lol issue still remains... if an admin sees this please remove entire post

  • Illustrator cc 2014 crash when startup in Mac 10.9.3

Trying to start cc 2014 after installed. (in Mac 10.9.3)
but crashed.         Crashed Thread:  0  Dispatch queue: com.apple.main-thread
tried to move out third party plug in as mention by adobe help blow but still not working.
    Solution
In the Finder, browse to the folder that contains Illustrator plug-ins.
Move all third-party plug-ins to a different folder.
(Important) Press and hold Command + Option + Shift, launch Illustrator, and keep the keys pressed until Illustrator launches. This step clears all Illustrator preferences.
Caution:It's necessary to press the keyboard combination (Command + Option + Shift) in the same order as mentioned above.
(Optional) If you require your third-party plug-ins when you use Illustrator, try adding one plug-in at a time. Each time you add a plug-in, ensure that you follow step 3 to start Illustrator.

    solve the problem.
found the third party plug in causing the problem.
remove from plug in folder solved the problem.

  • PP cc 2014 crashes when exporting files to H.264

I have a very simple file. It only has a mp3 file, (a hour ) and a few files in it. But it will not export the file. Media Encoder crashes also.
I seems Premiere Pro CC 2014 is a piece of crap. Heck I cannot even play the mp3 file in PP without it crashing at times. Please help! What is wrong? I have 9gb of RAM.

Thanks for the response. For now it seems I have worked around the problem. I was thinking It could be my graphics card. The one I have is not the best. only has 512mb VRAM. The way I worked around it is kind of a long story but I will do my best to explain.
At first I had Adobe look at it and he decided it was the images that I was using. The problem started when I updated Premiere Pro. However at the same time I upgraded I started a new project and I was using several images from this one website.
But I recently rebuilt my computer. So everything is fresh and new. And all re-installed.(I do this once a year). So I started another project and got the same problem only this time even changing the encoder to a Quicktime one.did not work, (it worked before).
So i Started the project over and did not add any images, just the audio file. Then I proceeded to add the text for the titles. I was using titles to post what the person was saying in the audio. So I had several titles in the project. No images. and it still crashed on export.
Turns out it appears to be the large number of titles that is causing it to crash. I saved the frames where i had the titles and replace the titles with an image of the title. It exports with no problem. Even though I have a background image that is from this same site as before.
So it appears that Premiere Pro has a problem with too may tiles in the project. So far as long as everything is images it works fine.
But I am going to replace my video card soon. Then I will try the project with titles other than the images of the frames where the titles are. lots less trouble if it will work.
Note: I have other projects that I made before the upgrade that have lots of titles in them also...they export fine.
Hope this helps you understand the problem.
I am trying to produce a video of the book of Psalms with audio and the scriptures on the screen,(titles).
For now, it appears to be a bug in Premiere Pro. It doesn't make sense why too many titles in a project would cause it to crash.

  • Adobe Acrobat 9.3 Crashes when creating PDF

I have started having a problem with Acrobat Pro crashing every time I try and create a PDF from a file or webpage. I have not found this on the forums previously and was curous as to what may be causing the issue. I have been doing regular updates to my Adobe products as well as the Microsoft OS and applications. I presume it to be related to an update, since I do not remember this being an issue previously,  but I am not sure which one it could be.
Has anyone had this issue occur and how was it resolved, save rolling back to a restore point.
    Thanks in advance
    System Info:

  • Adobe Illustrator CS4 is crashing when I try to place an object

Every time I try to place an object... or really everytime I try to do something that opens a finder window (re-linking objects, etc) the program crashes.  I have a macbook pro, should have plenty of RAM and have no idea why this is happening.
    Please help!

    Nelli:
Can you tell us how much RAM you have and what OS version you are running?
Also, how much hard drive space do you have available?
It may be only that your preferences got corrupt. Have you tried deleting your preference file and letting Illustrator rebuild it when it's launched again?

  • Scehudling assistant causes Outlook 2013 crash when creating meeting with external attendee

    Good morning
I have a very annoying problem with Outlook 2013 that occurs when a user attempts to create a meeting, inviting and external attendee and uses the Scheduling Assistant to help them organise timings. We are running Exchange 2013 CU3 with no other versions
    of Exchange in our environment.
Everything works fine until the user attempts to use the Scheduling assistant, as soon as they do, Outlook promptly crashes. Using OWA, things seem to work as expected.

Has anyone experienced this before and if so can you help me fix it please? Is this a bug with Outlook or Exchange? I am going to test the same scenario on a machine running Outlook 2010 to see if the same issue still persists.

Open Outlook with /safe command (Or hold Ctrl key when open Outlook) starts Outlook without the Reading Pane or toolbar customizations. Both native and managed Component Object Model (COM) add-ins are turned off. To narrow down the cause,
you can also try /safe:1 and /safe:3 commands.
/safe:1   Starts Outlook with the Reading Pane off.
/safe:3   Both native and managed Component Object Model (COM) add-ins are turned off.
To do this, press Windows key + R to open the Run command, type outlook.exe /safe:1
    and press Enter.
In addition, you can refer to the steps in this article to troubleshoot issue that Outlook does not crash when you start it in safe mode. See the "Step 6: Start Outlook in safe mode" section:
