Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 won't open under my current admin profile.

I recently installed Adobe CC 2014 suite on my Windows 7 OS. All the programs open properly with the exception of Illustrator CC. The error message I get is:
Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Since receiving this message I have gone through other forum posts and have tried all (below) with no remedy.
Uninstalled using Windows Uninstall Program followed by Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool and reinstalled. (I’ve done this numerous times. I also removed any prior software versions (CS5) along with preceding software preferences.)
All of my OS drivers have been updated.
Monitor, Processor and GPU Drivers are updated. NOTE: I’m running an Intel Core i7 960 3.2GHz processor and an AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series GPU.
I’m running my workstation as an admin user, however created a shared user group so InDesign would open properly. (This was my other problem I was having up until a few hours ago.)
I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Verdana and Tahoma TTF fonts.
I am not running or have installed any 3rd party plug-ins.
I read a forum post that said you can get around this problem by creating a new admin account. I did and was able to open Illustrator under that profile; however I’m still unable to open it under my existing admin account. How can I get around this? There must be a way to get Illustrator to open in my current account.
Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. I’m now on day No. 2 trying to get this solved.

    Are you using the Suitcase Fusion 5 software ? If yes than please update the plug-in from the Extensis web-site. There was a known issue with AI CC 2014 latest update & Suitcase Fusion 5. The latest update of the Suitcase Fusion fixes this issue.

    Why won't Illustrator install? I'm in a digital media class that uses this program regularly, so I'd like to have access to it without having to make my way back to the computer labs on campus.

  • Illustrator CC 2014 won't open "could not complete requested operation"

    I can not get my Illustrator CC 2014 to open any longer.  Lately when I try to open the program I get the following error; "Could not complete requested operation".  My other Creative Cloud applications, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat are all working.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program to no avail.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have jobs starting to pile up.

    The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
    1) Close down Illy and open again;
    2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
    3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
    4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
    5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
    Even more seriously, you may:
    6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

    Hi guys, my Illustrator CC 2014 won't launch, getting an error message "Could not complete the requested operation", this is not a specific file issue I can't launch Illustrator stand alone.  I've un-installed and re-installed about 3 times and contacted support but they haven't been able to solve as of yet.  It's a relatively fresh install of windows 8.1 and no custom fonts have been added.  I've tried deleting the preferences folders and launching and that has not had any effect.  No idea what else I can do, any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Edit: Forgot to mention I have also tried running Illustrator as administrator and that Illustrator was running perfectly fine on this computer since install (about 2 weeks) before this started happening.

    Hi Jacob, I decided to completely remove the entire creative suite from my computer, ran the cleaning tool (although some errors showed in the log file) and it now works! Let's just pray it stays this way haha.  Thanks for the suggestion.

    Hello,
    I can't start Adobe Illustrator CC 2014.
    When it shows "initialising" there is the program-window building up (only white screen) but then it crashes down (showing that the programm does not work anymore :/ )...
    I allready tried all advises in this forum and others, but nothing worked (the Verdana/Tahoma issue and so on....).
    Is there a way to solve the Problem?

    Interestingly, my problem was only fixed for 2 days, but doing this fixed it. I removed everything relating to Wacom (drivers, etc.):
    Issue | Illustrator CC crashes at launch
    Users have reported that Illustrator crashes during or after launch. Specifically, using an input device (for example, a mouse, stylus, tablet device, or others) soon after you start Illustrator CC causes the application to crash immediately.
    Cause | Outdated device drivers:
    This error occurs due to outdated Wacom device drivers on your computer. Updating the drivers (or uninstalling old or unused device drivers) fixes this issue. This issue can occur even if you do not have any Wacom device currently attached to your computer.
    Solution 1: Update Wacom device drivers
    Uninstall your current Wacom device drivers. See your Wacom product documentation, for information on how to uninstall the device drivers.   
    (Recommended for Mac users) If available on your computer, delete the file WacomMultiTouch.framework. To check for and delete the file:
    In a new Finder window, click Go > Go to Folder > type /Library/Frameworks > click Go.
    In the opened folder, check for a file named WacomMultiTouch.framework. If the file exists, delete it.
    Visit the Wacom support site, and reinstall the latest Wacom device drivers for your computer.     
    Solution 2: Uninstall Wacom device drivers
    If you are not using a Wacom device, uninstall the drivers associated with the device, and then launch Illustrator

    Just updated to the latest Adobe Illustrator CC, today, 10/6/14 through Creative Cloud. I am using a MacBook Pro 2011, and OS 10.8.5. After updating several Adobe apps, and attempting to launch Illustrator, I received the message, "Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 quit unexpectedly." Read through some forums. Tried to locate and remove the following files per forum recommendations: IdealFileFormat.aip and wacexportfile.aip. I could not even locate these files on my computer, even with a spotlight search.
    I uninstalled Adobe Illustrator (including the preferences), and re-installed the application. This did not solve the problem.
    This "bug" is putting a major wrench in my production schedule. PLEASE HELP!

    If you use Suitcase Fusion 5 as your font manager and its plugin for Illustrator CC 2014, open Suitcase and disable that plugin, until the issue is fixed, see below.
    Our other forum staff friend Raghuveer has stated this:
    This AI CC 2014 crash on launch is a known issue with Suitcase Fusion 5. This needs to be fixed from the Extensis.
    WORKAROUND:
    Remove Suite case Fusion plug-in ExtensisFontManagementAICC2014.aip from your Plug-ins/Extensions folder from the AI CC 2014 install location.
    The Illustrator team had already updated Extensis about this crash. At this point of time we do not have the release date of Extensis available.

    I found different answers what to do, but nothing helped me.
    I moved plug ins into different folders, opened up all security for illustrator read/write, reinstalled illustrator,
    And found the same error message to somebody's problem, but no answer that helped. I found this guy with the same problem has the same user ID like myself. Normal?

    Adobe Bridge CS6 (Mac) won't open .arw files from my Sony RX100. I was told to update Camera Raw to at least 7.2. I tried to download this but got a DNG Converter instead. Where is Camera Raw? (it does not show up in a search of my hard drive. There is a folder of camera profiles but no extension or plug-in with this name). How do I find out what version I have already? How do I get the correct version?  . . . OR . . . is it the case that Bridge will never open Sony raw files directly and I will have to do a separate conversion process every time I want to use a raw file??. Can someone explain this?
