Adobe Illustrator CC not smooth on MBPR hi-end

Hey,
I just bought a MBP Retina 15" high-end (i7, 16GB RAM, SSD 512, GeForce GT 750M 2GB) perfectly clean install with Photoshop and Illustrator CC updated. This is terribly choppy (scrolling / navigation / zoom / unzoom), even when creating a new document. Everywhere else, the computer is a real bomb.
Strangely, Photoshop, no fluidity worry.
I also have a 27 "iMac non retina and no particular concern in Illustrator. The Retina version of the CC would it not optimized?
Do you have a valid and acceptable solution to this problem?
Thank you.
EDIT:
I downloaded a demo of SwitchResX that can display resolutions other than those of the system and I put my 15" Retina in 3840x2400px non-HiDPI and Illustrator retrieve its fluidity. So HiDPI is not optimized on Illustrator. Great Adobe.

A 2500€ macbook shouldn't have slow down! If it can work with 3840x2400px perfectly fine, it should work with retina resolution 2880x1800px (1440x900px HiDPI)!
Maybe a tweak or something?

  • Adobe Illustrator will not launch when Flash is running

A few of our users have reported that once Flash is running Adobe Illustrator will not launch. We are moving from Windows XP SP2 to Windows XP SP3. The version of both Illustrator and Flash is CS2 (will be upgraded later to CS3).
This used to work on SP2 - anyone can give some hints on this?

    Nobody ever solved this

  • Adobe Illustrator CS5 Not Remembering Last Settings & Crashing

    Hello
I am using the latest version of illustrator CS5 on a MacBook Pro Intel Core Duo, the rest of my Master Collection work ok except illustrator
Firstly, when ever you quit illustrator it crashes and asks to send a crash report
Second, when you reopen and go to File > Open Recent, there are no previously worked on documents in the list
Thirdly, when i set up the units in inches for example then reopen it the next day, it goes back to milimeters??
Does anyone know how to amend this problem? Apart from that it seems to run fairly smooth
    Thanks

To add to this in case your trash the settings folder and it still happens you have to right or control click on the settings folder in the preferences and go to Get Info and look for Ownership and permissions and you can change it there to read/write.
But when you do so click on the lock icon at the bottom of the Get Info window and then enter your username and password at the bottom of the Get Info there is a gear like icon with an arrow head facing down it will allow you to apply the change to all the contents in the settings folder to read/write.
    To find the Settings folder
    1. Quit Illustrator.
2.Go to User/username/Library/Preferences/ Adobe illustrator CS5 Settings and trash the settings folder, the whole folder not just the contents of the folder..
    3. Start Illustrator. Illustrator creates a new preferences file.

  • Adobe Illustrator Will Not Startl

So...I don't know what's going on. Last night I was using Illustrator CS2 just fine and dandy. Took my computer to work with me as I usually do...used it throughout the day like I usually do...then when I got home I proceeded to get open Adobe Illustrator CS2 as I usually do and it shows the start screen where you can see it's loading fonts...and then about when it should be opening the program...it closes with no error messages or anything.
I created a new user account called "TEST" and followed the same steps and Illustrator CS2 opened just find and dandy. But on my main account it will not load.
Help, advice and suggestions are more than appreciated as I work in a printing company and use Illustrator frequently (with the exception of today that was spend in Quark all day). Thanks

What is your system language set to? If you use Swiss German or something, try normal German.

  • Adobe illustrator download not working on mac

when i download it and i click on it, it says "its not supported on this architecture"

Without knowing the processor you are using, as requested in Message #1, I will have to assume that none of you meet the minimum system requirements to run Photoshop Lightroom 4 or Illustrator CS6.  You can find the system requirements for Photoshop Lightroom 4 listed at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-lightroom/tech-specs.html.  For Illustrator CS6 the system requirements are at http://www.adobe.com/products/illustrator/tech-specs.html.

  • Adobe Illustrator will not install

When I try to install it, I keep getting a message prompting me to download adobe download manger. I do not know were to get that I thought I already had it since I have other adobe products. i'm using firefox

I just did a quick test myself and this works without problems, when I try to download the trial for the Windows version. It downloads the extractor, then the 7z file for Windows and I have no problem downloading the Mac version, either. If you are referring to the ESD download center, that may be different, but it always worked in the past. Anyway, you can just as well download the trial in that case. With avalid serial, it will be a fully functional Illu, off hand I'm just not sure whether it misses out on some of the demo content...

  • Adobe Illustrator(CS6) NOT running on OS X Yosemite

    Hi all,
after upgrading to OS X Yosemite today, I just realised that I am not able to open AI (CS6) anymore,
I'd appreciate if there is any suggestion to fix this problem?
or if there is any upcoming update from Adobe which might address this issue?
    Thanks a lot!
    Mehran

    Mehran,
I believe the right order/way is to update the OS, then reinstall the application(s). Did you do that?
There may also be other issues caused by updating to Yosemite, and you may wish to roll back from it and wait to see whether the issues will be solved and reported as such.
Weeding out in older plugins seems to have helped some in some cases. It also seems that JAVA Runtime may be involved, for some it seems to help to roll back to an ealier version, for others to update to the newest. And at least for some, it has made a real difference to download the JAVA from Oracle rather than from Apple.
All the above is more or less hearsay so far, with no definite final confirmation.
In any case, there is something to be sorted out by someone.
On the other hand, this website seems to indicate that someone has made Yosemite work with almost all CS/CC versions.

  • Adobe Illustrator CS6 not uninstalling!

My Illustrator suddenly said there was a system error and that I should uninstall and reinstall again, but it will not uninstall! I have tried the creative suite cleaner tool and it still won't uninstall! Helppppp!

We need system information. After you run the cleaner tool, there is no need to uninstall anything, which won't work, anyway. that's the whole point of the tool. You simply reinstall the app.

  • Adobe Illustrator CC (CS6, CS5.1) incorrectly opens a PDF file.

    Hello,
I have a problem. The customer sent me a graphic in PDF, which he wanted for us to print on textiles. I opened the graphics in Adobe Illustrator CC, edited and put into print.
After a customer complained about the flag at us and when we found out where she could be a mistake, I found that Adobe Illustrator can not open the PDF correctly. With this error, I met for the first time. More can be seen on video here: http://screenr.com/2ZUN
PDF file is available here: http://goo.gl/oljbSs
This is a bug Illustrator? Because PDF file is correct PDFX/1a file.
Or is there any other way to open a PDF file in order to keep the look?
Thanks so much for all the answers.

It's not really a bug. It's an uneducated customer (what a surprise).  :+)
Now you have something to add to your document "how to prepare files" for your service.
    That's what I have,
but what I say. No one that does not follow.
When we say that we need the data in a different format,
let us send graphics otherwise, most will say that it will be printed
elsewhere, where these "other requirements" does not require them.
But it is already a different thing.
I just have to hope that this created PDF files will not be much, because
for the last 5 years since opening the PDF files in Illustrator and regulates I had no problem (to small gradients, which I solved by saving PDF and Postscript file Jeko that open in Adobe Illustrator)
Thanks so much for your feedback.

  • Adobe Illustrator Crashes on Startup of Progam

    Hello.
I am running Illustrator CS5 on a Dell T750, E5620/2.4 GHZ/Xeon Processor with 12 Gb Ram running Windows 7/64-bit operating system. I am also using Suitcase Fusion 3 in correlation with Illustrator (and all Adobe products).
I went to launch Illustrator today and it froze. Click of the mouse and it displays the Adobe Illustrator is not responding screen with the option to close or wait option.
I have tried renaming the AIPref, did not work.
Updated Illustrator with 15.02, did not work.
Disabled all of my fonts, did not work.
All other programs in the CS5 Suite work without issues.
I am stumped. I do not want to reinstall, but I am afraid that is what I seem to be left with. Anyone else hoave these issues?
    Thanks for your assistance.

From what I can tell, the load is stopping on loading plug-ins. No particular plugin. Shape tools, transperency panel, strokeOffset, it changes with each restart of the program. I deleted my user prefs in AppData/Roaming/Adobe Illustrator CS5 Settings/en_US, but to no avail.
    Very frustrating.
