Adobe illustrator CC Zoom in & out problem

Hi,
I am facing an issue right now..
When i open a large AI file that above 1GB, then i zoom in & out .. the design will go out of form.
However, when i open small file like 400+ MB, no issue on zoom in & out.
I really no idea for this issue..
Here is my PC spec,
Windows 8.1 Professional
3.40 gigahertz Intel Core i7
32GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650

Adobe Illustrator CS6 uninstalling after restart problem?

Hi im having a problem with Adobe Illustrator CS6
I have installed Adobe Illustrator CS6 which was fine no problems.
The problem occurs when i shut the computer down then restart it, the short cut to the programme does not work.
In Start > All Programmes the software has a blank file next to it, meaning its not there.
This is also the same for extension manager CS6, tool kit CS6, help CS6, bridge CS6and adobe reader XI.
I also have on my laptop Dreamweaver CS5.5 could this have an affect on the newer software, as this too comes with extension manager CS5.5, tool kit CS5.5, but the older versions?
My Laptop Spec is:-
Acer Aspire 5742Z
Windows7 Home Premium Service pack 1
Intel(r) Pentium(R) CPU P6100 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
RAM: 4.00GB
64-bit Operating System
I have Norton Internet Security.
This is also playing up and can be only accessed on the toolbar right hand corner of the screen. (i dont think norton is the problem with illustrator)
**In safe mode i am able to see the icons in the Start > All Programmes and able to click the files and the software load***

We need system information. After you run the cleaner tool, there is no need to uninstall anything, which won't work, anyway. that's the whole point of the tool. You simply reinstall the app.

Adobe Illustrator files display washed out

Since Preview and other apps such as Keynote and Pages handle Adobe Illustrator files, I have to wonder why they display all washed out, whether there are copy and pasted or the file is actually opened in the program.

What version of Adobe Illustrator are you viewing the files in?
Is the document color mode CMYK or RGB? How are the "black" areas of the art defined?
In other words, is the black defined as:
C: 0
M: 0
Y: 0
K: 100
Or, is it defined as a "rich" black, for example:
C: 60
M: 50
Y: 50
K: 100
I'm not sure about versions of Illustrator prior to CS3, but recall that Illustrator CS3 and CS4 have a preference for "Appearance of Black". This preference setting determines how 100K Black and Rich Blacks will appear on screen as well as in print. I believe the default is to display all blacks as Rich Black.
So, I'm guessing that while the black in your document is defined as a regular 100K black, the "Appearance of Black" preference setting is causing Illustrator to display it as a rich black. If you save this file as a .ai and embed ICC profiles, then open it in Preview, Preview will display the 100K black as a more "washed out" black like Illustrator would do if you chose to "Display All Blacks Accurately".

I need to do zoom in/out where I clicked over left or right page. I calculate the value of zoom to fit the clicked page to the width of landscapeZoomer.
And I he created a point named pCen to center the zoom, its x coordinate is sitting in the middle of page.
When i clicking over one page, c_book is resized ok, but it's wrong positioned.
I use a scale effect to this, but the center of the page is not positioned in the middle of landscapeZoomer canvas.

I try to tell the Scrollbar to adapt to the correct size.. it works nice ONLY as long as I don't scroll!
When I start scrolling and release my mouse button, scrollbars automatically take back their original size.

Adobe Illustrator - menu freaking out

I recently installed Adobe Illustrator CS2 on my system, and for a while it worked fine. However about three weeks ago I launched it and the menus and submenus are all whacked out. For example: Instead of reading "File" it reads "$$$/_MBAR/Mn..."
and
"File > Open" reads "$$$/_MBAR/Mnu/File/New=&New"
Anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? I tried dumping my Prefs, and it didn't work. I also tried re-installing Adobe CS2 but that didn't work either. All other Adobe CS2 programs seem fine - only Illustrator has this issue.

Many problems with my Mac since I downloaded Adobe Illustrator.

Hi,
I have had my MacBook Pro for almost two years. And have never experienced these problems. Here are the specs in case you would like to know.
- Mac OS X Version 10.7.5
- Processor 2.3 GHz Intel COre i5
- Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz ddR3
- I also use an external monitor (HdTV via HdMI cable)
- I have USB powered wireless speakers, and a USB Logitech mic attached as well via a 4 input USB hub (I keep all of these attached all the time because the cords drop below my desk and it is easier to leave them pluggled in.
- Also I have a wireless Apple Blutooth keyboard that I have setup an use
Here are all the idfferent problems I have been experiencing:
For some reason, ever since I downloaded and installed Adobe Illustrator CS6, my computer has been having the following problems.
Beeping constantly when I am in the program "finder"
When I leave my browser (chrome), my mac continuously types the letter "d". (Which I have experienced multiple times while typing this) [however it seems to work fine if I am typing while inside "chrome"
Cursor continues to flash no matter what program I am in
When I pull down a menu bar tab (regardless of what program), it highlights different buttons and flashes rapidly between them. (BUT I can still click the desired option without a problem)
When a type the letter "d" in a word, the letter seems to not register as quickly as other letters. For instance, when I type the word "idscussion" <-- that happens. But if I type it more slowly like this --> discussion: it works absolutely fine. Obviously this would be a problem because it is not my edsired typing s...p...e...e...d.
When I right click, a menu will show up but then go away immediately (in other words it will flash)
And I have checked for any crumbs under my keys but there is absolutely nothing because I have a keyboard cover that protects from things like that.
I'm not sure if Illustrator has anything to od with this problem. But the problem started the second after it was installed. Maybe it's just coincidential.

I have also googled for other people with a similair problem but all the solutions that were given have not worked. ie. unplugging my wireless mouse dongle.

I assume you mean when running Software Update. If so, then you have network connection issues, and I recommend that you manually download the items SU lists from the Downloads link above and install them yourself.

Problems with copying between Adobe Illustrator and keynote

I have recently switched from Tiger to Snow Leopard. A lot of my keynote presentations have started acting up since. Many images that I copied from Adobe Illustrator (CS3) are reported as "missing" when I open the presentations. Also, some Adobe illustrator arrangements give keynote problems when I copy them into a presentation now. The problem here is that I can copy them into keynote but then I cannot duplicate them or copy-paste them again. If I save a presentation containing such images and try to open it after closing it, the same problem about "missing" images becomes apparent.
In comparing with other computers used by my colleagues I have established that this does not have anything to do with my computer. It turns out, any machine running Snow Leopard has these problems but any machine running Tiger or Leopard does not. The problem is present in both keynote 4.0.4 and 5.0.4.
In trying to narrow down the problem I found out the following. The problem is text box based. If I copy a text field (or an arrangement containing one of these) from illustrator into keynote and if that text field contains more than one line, and if that line break is mediated by the "shift-return" key combination, the problems I mentioned show up.
Does anyone have the same problems/know a solution? It is quite a major flaw for me, it essentially means I can dump all my old keynote presentations.

In copying these from Illustrator to Keynote, I'm assuming that they are pasting into Keynote as a PDF? Also, is there any difference between printing to a PDF then dragging that in and just copying/pasting into Keynote?

Adobe illustrator problem: stroke path

I Have problem with adobe illustrator. I have made a path, out of other paths, and now I want to stroke it. But it strokes at each little path. I have a print screen to make it more clear:
The question is: How do I stroke the whole "A"? So i just get a stroke around the "A" and not at each little path?

You could make a compound shape out of it. (see manual for details)
You could group them and then add a stroke and use pathfinder-effect "Add"

Problem printing using 'Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0' CS3

I have just upgraded my work Mac (G5 Dual 2ghz PowerPC running OSX 10.5.4 and 6gb Ram) to CS3. Brilliant, except when I came to print out a presentation for a client, it keeps crashing illustrator. It always happens when I try and print to my Epson Stylus Photo 2100 using 'Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0' colour settings. We have previously be using 'Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0' colour settings (as this gets a pretty true colour representation out of our CMYK printer). All the other settings work fine, but lacks the rich colour of the emulated setting. I don't seem to be able to get even close by adjusting the setting in the colour settings panel.
Does anyone know of a way round this, or of a patch to fix this? I have been checking out the internet, but cant find the Illustrator settings from version 6 (i'm sure it was very basic - but my boss wont except anything but those settings).
I have tried printing with 'Emulate Adobe Illustrator 6.0' colour settings to our Lexmark laser printer C522 (basic colour results) but it was able to print. Not sure why it should work on one printer but not another?
The printer we are using is a Epson Stylus Photo 2100, with the latest driver 3.09.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wonder if it is a conflict with the system settings or Adobe Bridge settings somewhere. I used to use "Emulate Illustrator 6...", but always had a RIP interpret the information. I can't think of any reason why Illustrator would crash. I'd send Adobe Tech Support a note about it, maybe they can figure out what's going on. By the way, I sometimes switch my settings to "Emulate Illus 6..." and, like you, have had no problems ( but, I'm still in v10 via 10.3.9 ).

Why does Adobe Reader use the scroll wheel to zoom in/out rather than actually, um, scroll? I can't find anywhere to change this function in Preferences, either.

I had the same problem on my Windows 8 touch screen laptop. It was driving me crazy! Every time I tried to scroll a page down, the program would zoom the page! Made reading an ebook difficult.
I finally found the solution:
Under Edit select Preferences - General
Uncheck "Make Hand Tool Use mouse-wheel zooming".

Adobe Illustrator crash problems

Hey everybody,
Having problems with Illustrator on my MBP. Had an older version for several months (pretty sure it was version 10). Worked OK except for some random crashes every now and again. Then crashes started happening more frequently until I could no longer open the program.
Removed version 10 and tried installing CS2 version of illustrator. Installs fine but I've never been able to open it. Crashes every time during launch. Have tried making a new user and installing it there. Same result. Deleted all Version Cue files I could find and reinstalled. Same result.
Have all the latest updates from Apple including Quicktime 7.1.2

Thanks for the suggestion. I did as you said but could not find a process called "translated" in the activity monitor.
Were you having the same type of problem with Illustrator (crashing on startup)?
I should also say that I made another attempt at installing Illustrator CS2 after deleting every Adobe related file on my computer (including Photoshop CS which I had been using without issue).
This improved things a bit in that CS2 no longer crashes immediately as it starts up but instead makes it at least part of the way through the initialization process before crashing (can get it to go all the way through "updating fonts"). But it still never makes it all of the way through start up.
Also, since my last post I've tried opening it after Safe Booting and this doesn't work either (actually it doesn't even get as far as detailed above).
What do you all think? I'm thinking that a clean reinstall of the OS might be the only option left.

How can I get 300 dpi tifs out of webex stills & then worked on in adobe illustrator?

How can I get 300 dpi tifs out of webex stills & then worked on in adobe illustrator?
I have been trying to convert images created in webex and transferred to illustrator into 300 dpi tifs. They download as ucf's when generated on white board. Or I have to upload files from other webex participants coming in at 72 dpi, converting them to something bigger in photoshop to paint in before taking them back into the webex session as a doc that then gets worked on further during the session. Later they go into illustrator for some more work with vectors. That's fine for the web but now a publisher wants them as 300 dpi tifs and I can only get things back & forth as 72 dpi pdf's. If I try to bump them up with a resample, they come out teensy weensy. What am I missing and is there any way to make them look good?

What I need is to be able to transfer the images between formats without degradation of the resolution and find ways to sharpen what I have even if I can't increase pixels. If the original I'm delivered is a 96 dpi power point slide, for example, that's what I have to work with, I'm using Illustrator to compensate with vectors. But then I still need to get it back to a 300 dpi tiff to meet the specs.
