Adobe Illustrator CS3 Rounded Corner Option MIA?

Everywhere I look, I read that there should be a "Round Corners" option under both the "Effect>Stylize" and "Filter>Stylize" dropdown menus. In both cases, the only "Stylize" option I'm given is "Glowing Edges".
I'm attempting to do this with a 3-pointed star (otherwise known as a triangle, but I created it using the star tool). I'm definitely selecting it, etc.
Can anyone shed some light? Thanks!!!

Adobe Illustrator SUCKS when it comes to corner rounding...
You need the vector plugin by CValley called Xtream Path...

I would not be without it...it's saved me hours of work rounding off corners without distorting the adjoining line segments.

Adobe Illustrator CS3: Fatal error during installation

Hello,
I just bought the AI CS3. It installed OK on my friend's laptop (windows). However, when I clicked the big button in the installation:
"Install Adobe Illustrator CS3"
A window showed:
Initializing Adobe Illustrator...
Then I got a message:
"Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe customer Support for assistance. Fatal error during installation".
I've tried several times. My computer meets all the requirements (it's a really new and faster PC). And there's no old versions of AI on it yet.
Can anyone help? Thanks!!!

Do you have any other Adobe products on your computer? When I installed CS3 on my Mac, I kept getting failures. After contacting Adobe, they told me I had to delete ALL other Adobe products -- including Flash and Adobe Reader. Plus, I had to do searches and delete any support files associated with them. It took hours!

Quit Illustrator, Delete the following folder "C:\users\<your Name>\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS3 Settings" and then launch Illustrator again. It will launch with default settings.

MAC Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3

When I installed Illustrator CS3 at the first time, I didn't complete it and closed it. While I installed it again, it said "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3". I was be stopped on this step, so I deleted the Illustrator CS3 from Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers without clicking it to uninstall. And I deleted other Illustrator CS3 files. After that, I tried to reinstall Illustrator CS3 again, but it kept to say "Adobe Illustrator CS3 cannot be installed because it conflicts with Adobe Illustrator CS3".
I cannot find any Illustrator in my MAC. What is wrong? How can I install Illustrator again? Should I format the computer and install all the applications again?

On the Adobe site probably under support do a search for Adobe CS 3 Clean Up Script.
Before running the script read the instructions al the instructions first, do not assume you understand from reading the first sentence. There are some files that are not so obvious that are necessary for activation and they are probably still around but they can only be removed by the script.
Next time you will have to read the instructions.
The only other ways around this is the do an archival reinstall of your system or if that does not work a complete reinstall of your system. Running the script is the easier and better way to do this but you must read the instructions completely first.

My adobe illustrator CS3 won't work with OS X Yosemite

after installing OS X Yosemite software upgrade my Adobe Illustrator CS3 will not open with the ability to use the tools, only as a Read only file. I was told to install JavaForOSX2014-001 but that has not helped.

Yes I am having the same exact issue. CS6 works fine except for InDesign. I have used the Java Legacy Updater with no help to the scenario. Just bounces up/down and then gives me this nice little error message, which I get repeatedly:

Adobe Illustrator CS3 Quits Unexpectedly

I have Installed Adobe CS3 Standard Edition on tiger and was working fine. After i upgraded to leopard, Adobe Illustrator CS3 Quits showing a Dialog "The Software Quit Unexpetedly".
It keeps on quiting and i cant work on illustrator now.

Have you tried Uninstalling CS3 and reinstalling it?
Go to:
Mac HD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Adobe Installers -> Add or Remove Adobe...
Then reinstall it from your disk or disk image.

Installing Adobe illustrator cs3- no file for setup

My computer is :
iMac
3.4 GHz Intel Core i7
Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4（11E53）
I want to install Adobe Illustorator CS3, but couldn't find
"Setup（Macintosh）"file in "Adobe Illustrator CS3" folder.
I could find "Setup.exe" file, but couln't start with this file.
Is this mean that this is not for mac OS?

Not sure, but I believe in CS3 it was still called "Install Illustrator CS3" All you should need is to mount the DMG file and than run that. Perhaps if you provide a screenshot we might advise further...

Adobe Illustrator CS3 swatch folders - I seem to have two?

I notice that I have two swatch folders.
One appears in:
C:\Documents and settings\all users\Application data\Adobe Illustrator CS3 settings\Swatches
The other in:
C:\Program files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator CS3\Presets\Swatches
Why are there two different swatch folders?
Do I have them stored incorrectly on my C:\ drive?

It should be perfectly safe to trash the "fake", as it cannot possibly be being used, after checking (you've already done it, I'm sure) that it contains nothing you want.
Have a Finder window open so that you can see the "fake". Launch Terminal (in /Applications/Utilities) and type:
rm -R
Type a <space> after the R
Drag the "fake" folder into the Terminal window. The folder will not move, but the line in Terminal will now be completed with the path to the "fake". Hit <return>.
If the "fake" has gone that's it. If there is an error message in Terminal then do exactly the same, but using:
sudo rm -R
…<space>, drag folder. After hitting <return> you will get a "password:" prompt. Type carefully (it will not show on screen), hit <return> again. Poof!

Fatal error [Adobe Illustrator CS3]

Adobe Illustrator CS3をインストール後、起動中に下記のエラーが表示されIllustratorが起動されません。

/Library/Application Support/Adobe VersionCue CS3/Client/3.0.0/VersionCue.framework
このダイアログ表示後、Illustratorが落ちてしまいます。
今までしたのは一度IllustratorとVersionCue CS3をアンインストールし、再インストールしましたが同じでした。
上記のダイアログのメッセージの通りLibraryフォルダを見たところVersionCue.frameworkというファイルはありませんでした。
ちなみにAdobe Photoshop CS3でも同じ事が起きました。
以上ですがどなたか同じ症状になったり、解決できた方はいますでしょうか？
環境はMACOS10.4.10、intelではないです。
購入したのはDESIGN PREMIUM（アップグレードパッケージ）です。

Adobe® Illustrator® CS3 体験版を Vista PC にダウンロードして、インストールしてみました。
特に問題なく起動します。
この PC は、CS2 製品はいくつかインストールしていますが、CS3 製品は、インストールしていない状態でした。
ただし、Jscript.dll および Vbscript.dll は、登録されていない状態であっても、スクリプトは実行できていたようですが、念のため、regsvr32 で手動登録しています。
それ以外は、特に特殊な設定はしていません。
もし、Jscript.dll および Vbscript.dll の登録をまだ試されていないのであれば、試してみる価値はあるかもしれません。
以下は、テスト環境の詳細です。
PC: DELL INSPIRON 9200
OS: Windows Vista™ Ultimate (32bitOS)
CPU: Intel® Pentium® M processor 1.60GHz
