Adobe Illustrator installation issues
I've downloaded the trial version via Creative cloud and when It installes it came up with an error, any ideas ?

Adobe AIR installation issue - hangs at "Installing..."
Hello everyone!
I know questions similar to this have been asked many times before, but I did not manage to find the solution to my problem after a few hours of reading and trying the various 'solutions' around the net and this forum. I apologise if I missed it.
I cannot seem to install Adobe AIR. I run a freshly downloaded installation executable, but it hangs at "Installing..." and 0% progress for a very, very, very long time, if I let it. This last try has been going for 45 minutes as I write. The only way to get out of the installer is through Task Manager and killing the service, as hitting 'Cancel' just makes the installer attempt to cancel endlessly.
I tried installing it in safe mode but there it gives an error saying I may not have administrative permissions (which I do have);
I created a new user account;
I "run as Administrator" and am using an account with administrative rights;
I tried it through the command line with putting the file in c:\ and running "AdobeAIRInstaller.exe -silent" without quotes from c:\;
I have shut off all my antivirus software;
I tried downloading it with a different browser;
I tried using the MicrosoftFixit.ProgramInstallUninstall, and took Adobe AIR off the list;
I tried uninstalling all Adobe products and then reinstalling them, with Adobe AIR last
... and some more things, but none of this has helped. Here's what the installation log generates when it hangs:

So before we continue, we really need to figure out what the exact error is. Can you, on at least 2 systems, generate the MSI logs we'll need? Here's a document that explains how to enable logging and where to find the logs once they've been created:
How to enable Windows logging
Once you've enabled logging, try installing again. Grab the newly created msi logs and either post here or email me at [email protected] I'll examine the logs and see if we can find a common issue between the systems.

Microsoft has just released a new utility that can help resolve installation problems. Would you mind giving this a try and let us know how it works for you? When running the Fix it, go through the uninstall process and try to remove Adobe AIR from your system. Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.

Adobe Reader installation issue
The below image is the issue that I am having when trying to download Adobe Reader. I have internet connection. I have tried disabling all of my computer security in attempts to download Adobe Reader. I am running Windows 8.1 on a HP Pavilion. What could be going wrong with the installation? Also, I have tried doing the installation through Firefox, Chrome, and IE. Any ideas?

I am trying to download the latest Adobe Reader release. The problem is that it keeps getting disrupted during install. I can't figure out why this is happening. Has anyone else experienced this issue while running the Windows 8 OS? I've been experiencing many issues trying to download executable setup files in Windows 8. Does anyone have a good recommendation on how I can successfully resolve this issue?

Adobe illustrator memory issues
Hi
I have a customer who is using Adobe Creative suite CS2. She has been using it for a couple of years quite happily but recently we upgraded her to windows vista business.
After a re-install of adobe creative suite illustrator keeps coming up with the following error:
(if you can't see it it says theres not enough RAM)
There is 2GB of RAM in the system and without any other programs open it is using just under 1GB of RAM.
Would it be advisable updating the RAM to maybe 4GB, or is is it a bug in Vista or Illustrator?
Any help would be appreciated.It's a compatibility issue, but a sporadic one at that. Sometimes legacy apps go looking for specific versions of DLLs that long have been surpassed by newer ones and then they can't find the correct memory address offsets. As to why it happens is unclear and seems to depend on what updates and specific extra components are on the system. If the issue cannot be resolved with compatibility mode, you may try hunting for the Microsoft Visual C redistributable packages (MSVC70 and up) and .NET runtime 1.1. Just download the full standalone installers and run them. if all of the components are already on your system, nothing will happen, if not, some bits and pieces should be installed. This may possibly fix the problems you experience...

Adobe Presenter Installation Issue
Hi I just installed Acrobat 9 Extended which was supposed to
ship with Presenter.
I am running Windows XP SP 2 and Powerpoint 2003 SP 3.
I do not see the menu item in powerpoint.
How do I know if it even installed?
Would there be a folder in Programs labeled Adobe Presenter ?
Any tips for getting this installed correctly would be
appreciated.

Yes , there will be a folder <systemdrive>\Program
Files\Adobe\Presenter 7 if Presenter is installed at default
location .
Presenter 7 is shipped with Acrobat 9 Extended but is not
installed as part of Acrobat . You need to install it separately
and make sure that you install it by clicking on Install Presenter
button shown in Autoplay menu shown when DVD is inserted .(Don't
install it directly via MSI installer) -
Adobe 9 - Installer issue - Calls another program installer?
I can download the program and run the installer just fine. The problem starts when the installer calls ACMSETUP.EXE which calls a startup of my 16-BIT Microsoft ODBC Installer program. I'm not even sure why it's still on my machine, but it is. The Adobe installer seems to be calling it from somewhere and even if I cancel the ODBC install, the Adobe program fails out with no install.
Anyone see this?I recommend the Acrobat forums. CreatePDF is something quite different. You should also contact the PC supplier for your install disk, it's their job to provide it to you. Good luck!

Adobe Flash Installation Issues
Windows 7, Firefox. I have tried to install an updated version of the flash player and I am getting the connection issues when it is downloading. I then try the 17 meg version and it stalls right at the end, eventually it finishes (or times out) and when I try to run it, it tells me I don't have a valid win-32 application. Thinking that my current version might have been corrupt, I uninstalled it using your instructions on the uninstall-flash-player page. I uninstalled, verified that it was uninstalled, but my install still isn't working. I have turned off my McAfee firewall, etc. Help!
"Not a valid Win32 application" is almost ALWAYS a bad download. Usually cause by Antivirus deleting a portion of it because of poor or outdated definitions.
Disable your Antivirus completely (not just the firewall - the scan will delete things and corrupt them even with the firewall off - McAfee and Norton are the worst) and THEN download and install from that link. -
I have the Adobe CS3 Web Premium Suite and have been able to install everything except Version Cue. No matter what I seem to do it returns errors to me saying it could not be installed. I have the firewall allowing all incoming connections and have try running the repair permissions, both done with no luck. Has anyone had any success with this?
For what it's worth, Version Cue installed with no errors on my computer (10.5.1 at the time).
But as Kappy says, if you don't need it (or maybe even if you do) you're better off without it. I don't use it and would uninstall it if I knew how (Adobe apps are infamous for NOT uninstalling with a simple drag-to-trash). -
Adobe Indesign installation issue

It installed Adobe download assitant. While trying to login with my adobe id ([email protected]), it give error 100 Error communicating with Adobe.com .

Please help as I have been trying this for more than a week.....
