Adobe Illustrator CC and macbook pro retina

So I bought a new macbook pro with retina which has 8GB of memory, with OS X 10.9.4. I am also trialing the creative cloud having downloaded Adobe Illustrator CC and Photoshop.
Have only had the laptop for a couple of weeks and already I am having illustrator crashing within 15 or 20 minutes of building a graphic. It got worse today, and the graphics are not even complicated; 3 times crashed today. Does anyone else have this problem. Does anyone know if this is just a compatibility issue between adobe and the macbook? I was told by apple that as the laptop version had only just come out this might be the issue and adobe would have an update within a month or so. Anyone know if thats true??
By the way a friend of mine has been using adobe muse and that has also been crashing on his macbook pro, exactly same macbook pro as mine.
Any help would be much appreciated

We just upgrade to Adobe Illustrator CC and my menus and toolbars are huge icons.. How do I make them smaller?? Its freaking me out.

It is set to 124% but they are still huge.. The other programs I use are normal sized menus just the new illustrator is huge.. any suggestions?

The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

The ilustrator when opening files from a lack of memory of which I own already find it hard 11Gbram , Photoshop crashes inesperdamente and the Media Encoder is not converting the video in nnehuma the options requested .
Would like guidance , never had such problems with Adobe software . Today got a MacPro 2x2,2.66 Ghz Dual Core Intel Xeon 11Gbram 240GB SSD .

Adobe Illustrator CS3 and FrameMaker 8 - Are interactive rollovers possible?

I recently read an article (see URL below) that talked about using InDesign to create rollover effects on graphics, that would carry forward
as the graphic was brought into FrameMaker and then saved out as a PDF.

Can Illustrator CS3 allow me to take a drawing, screen capture or photograph (graphic with callouts drawn on top of the photo)and add interactive rollover effects? Or, is Illustrator CS3 limited in what it can provide for interactivity, compared with InDesign CS3, Fireworks CS3 and Flash CS3 and Photoshop CS3. I would prefer to work in Illustrator CS3.
Also, I would prefer to either place the .ai file format right into FrameMaker (linked to file) as that seems to work very well. Note, I am trying to stay away from SVGs at this time.
Can I create an interactive drawing or graphic and save it (e.g. ai, png format) so that the end result is an interactive PDF, as shown in the samples on the website above?

Yes.
Select the object. Choose Effect > Distort & Transform > Transform
Tick the Reflect box. Set the 9 point origin indicator to the reflect origin you want. Set the "copies" box to 1. Click OK.
You should then be able to alter the original object and see changes in the reflection.

Adobe Illustrator CS6 and OSX 10.10.2

In CS6 Illustrator, I have a custom workspace that the drop menu, in the Charactere Type pallet, will not show up below the arrow. it shows up in random places on the both screens. If the panel is on the same monitor as the apple menu bar, this is a non issue. If the monitors are the same resolution, I don't seem to have this issue. I can fix it by moving the apple menu bar to the second screen then back. But this only works until Illustrator restarts.

I have the same issues here, I am working on a mac pro 2009 with two different size screens attached (20" Cinema Display and a Apple LED display)I already reported them to Apple when the first released the beta version of osx 10.10.2. Still haven't head from Apple and the issue still remains, all dropdown menu's appear kind of randomly over my screens. I did try all kind of "tricks" found on the internet, but nothing seems to help for a longer time. If someone knows a real solution and not a temporary one for the first launch, please let me know, because this is not workable. (I think it has something o do with the new apple feature where you can have a working space on each separate connected display, with a finder menu on top....)

I find 4GB barely enough for the OS itself, you can upgrade to as much as 16 GB of RAM...

IMac retina and Adobe illustrator

My Mac Pro 1.1(2.66 Ghz Dual -core Intel Xeon) is on its last legs and i'm looking to purchase a new Imac Retina. I predominately use in Illustrator and photoshop for my work.I have held off purchasing because I have heard with performance issues with the new Imac and Adobe Illustrator CS6 and CC. Has anyone else heard or experienced any issues relating to this combination?

I just received a Retina iMac and Illustrator (latest version) is completely unusable due to the poor performance. Photoshop is fine.

Can you share the crash dump with me.
The steps to get the crash dump file are:
Open the “Task Manager” when the Adobe Illustrator CC crash window is displayed.
In the Task Manager window right-click on the name/string “Adobe Illustrator CC” and select the option “Create Dump File” in the context menu
It will display a dialog which says that it will create a file “Illustrato.dmp” in your “Temp” folder. Click on OK to create this. Wait for the action to get this completed.
Once the above file gets completed you can have this file by typing “%temp%” in your “Run” window (press “window button + r” on the keyboard). On clicking the enter key the TEMP folder can be opened.
Look there for the file name “Illustrator.dmp” and share it with [email protected] using dropbox.
