Adobe InDesign CC 2014 dejó de funcionar

He utilizado el InDesign CC 2014 por meses ya y nunca había tenido ningún problema. Hoy que intento volver a acceder, me aparece este mensaje cuando intento abrir el programa, diciendo "Adobe InDesign CC 2014 dejó de funcionar: El programa dejó de funcionar correctamente por un problema. Windows cerrará el programa y le notificará si existe una solución". Y ya no me aparece nada... Por favor su ayuda... Muchas gracias.

Delete Program preferences, if this does not help uninstall InDesign and install it again, even if you uninstall it only and install it again you have to delete preferences.
Reinstalling from the Creative Cloud is only an action of a few minutes.

Justo despues de hacer esto, abri Photoshop, y cuando abria un nuevo proyecto me tiro de nuevo el error, pero esta vez por algo totalmente distinto (al parecer la grafica estaba desactualizada, y no actualice tampoco), Photoshop lo corrigio por si solo desactivando unas opciones graficas y listo. Puedo trabajar sin problemas y guardar mis proyectos con total tranquilidad.

Hallo zusammen.
Ich bekomme seit heute eine Fehlermeldung wenn ich InDesign öffnen will. Der Wortlaut ist: "Adobe InDesign CC 2014 funktioniert nicht mehr"
Dann kann ich nur noch das Fenster schliessen und das war es. Bei PS und Ai gibt es keinerlei Probleme.
Ich hab schon die Fehlersuche bei Adobe in Anspruch genommen und z.B. nicht funktionierende Schriften entfernt, das Programm als Admin versucht zu starten und auch in Creativ Cloud abgemeldet und wieder angemeldet. Das Problem ist weiterhin da.
Woran kann es nur liegen?

Ja, deinstalliert und neu installiert war auch eine der ersten Massnahmen.

Adobe InDesign CC 2014 has stopped working

So...I am trying to help our Marketing Manager with some problems with Adobe InDesign CC 2014. On startup of the program, more often than not it comes up with:
Adobe InDesign CC 2014 has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Windows doesn't do anything.
We have tried refreshing the preference folders as dictated by other members. No joy. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the whole Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
On occasion, InDesign does start up and there is a problem with text boxes. When a text box is moved or resized, copied, the text in the box disappears. It will only return if you select the text tool and hover over the box. It is not to do with snapping to grid lines, etc.
Can someone please advise on what we should do?

Hi All,
I've taken a few deep breaths before writing this to try and avoid a hugely frustrated rant.
To summarise; since early this morning my previously healthy version of InDesign CC 2014 has been unable to open, crashing at the 'Executing startup services...' stage with the error message 'Adobe InDesign CC 2014 has stopped working'. I worked on it all day yesterday and use it extensively every day more or less, this problem came out of nowhere overnight. I didn't do any kind of system update in the interim period. I'm using a HP Envy dv7 Notebook PC running Windows 8.
I tried as much as I could based on my own very limited knowledge and some forum searching. I re-installed the software. Did that again using the Adobe CC cleaner .exe file in between un-install and re-install. I uninstalled older versions of the software (which all worked fine - as does the rest of the Creative Suite software I have installed. I deleted extensions. None of this helped.
I then went looking for Adobe support and got a guy via Adobe's chat controlling my PC from afar and trying some much deeper technical stuff. After two hours he said that it was an OS issue, sorry... after a bit of dismayed pleading he said OK, I'll try one more thing and made me a new user with administration power, told me to login in to that account and try again. I did, it worked! But it's still broken on my main account and he disconnected in the few minutes I was gone and I now seem to be frozen out of chat help. HELP!
What does this mean? All CS/CC software seems to be working fine on my normal account apart from InDesign CC 2014. I have a huge file, now very close to being overdue, which I was working on in 2014 CC and can't be opened by older versions. The software works on this other account - so I guess I can work there short term. But how do I get it fixed on my main account?
Hopefully someone out there has the answer?

First, see Replace Your Preferences and do it for the original account.
If that fails to solve the problem, rename the two Adobe folders that contain the prefs in the user profile for that account and copy the folders from the new account where it works. You want to be sure you copy the folders, rather than merge the contents, so you must rename the old folders first.

You can't open the application "Adobe InDesign CC 2014" because it is not responding.

For some reason InDesign has decided to stop responding. Acts like it wants to launch but then does nothing. When I try to launch it from the Finder rather than the Dock, I receive this message:
You can’t open the application “Adobe InDesign CC 2014” because it is not responding.
Please advise.

Wild guess here, but the installers are known to fail to set the correct permissions on the preference folders. See Cant launch new inDesign CC | Adobe Community and substitute Version 10 where you see Version 9.

Adobe Indesign CC 2014 crash on launch

Hi I use this program as well as photoshop, illustrator and muse on a near-constant daily basis. Indesign has suddenly started crashing on launch - the rest of the apps still operate without issue.
I've restarted, reinstalled indesign, disabled all fonts except system fonts - not too sure what the deal is but will need this up and running again asap.
Only significant change that's happened today is I updated a Sony game.
I'm not sure if the below info will provide insight - let me know if there's any further info I can provide.

Unable to load Adobe InDesign CC 2014 Type Library (Version 1.0)

I've just upgraded ID from CC to CC 2014 and now a script that had always run without issue now won't work. I get an error saying 'Unable to load Adobe InDesign CC 2014 Type Library (Version 1.0)'
The bit of code I was running was executing a little VB script copying files:

From trawling the net I can see stuff about the 'Resources for Visual Basic.tlb' file. I can see this in the C:\ProgramData\Adobe\InDesign\Version 10.0\en_GB\Scripting Support\10.1 folder but clearly it isn't registered or something similar.
Can anyone help me get past this problem?

Do you mean copy the 'Resources for Visual Basic.tlb' into the Version 9 folder?
If so I already have the file in there: "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\InDesign\Version 9.0\en_US\Scripting Support\9.0\Resources for Visual Basic.tlb" as well as the file in this location: "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\InDesign\Version 10.0\en_US\Scripting Support\10.1\Resources for Visual Basic.tlb"
The only difference between the 2 installs that I can see is that v10 also has a locale for en_GB.

@Hola, tengo una laptop con windows 7, ase días subí a windows 8.1 Pro, cuando intente instalar photoshop cc 2014, al abrirlo, me parecía un mensaje que decía, que Photosho ha encontrado un problema con el controlador, le daba en OK y me salia el una ventanita que decía Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 dejo de funcionar y se cerraba. Pero antes busque como solucionar el problema, leí que actualizando el controlador de windows, con eso se solucionaba, lo hice, y seguía igual. Y creí que era un problema de compatibilidad con windows 8.1, después baje a mi windows antiguo windows 7 descargue el photoshop cc 2014 nuevamente, y al abrirlo, me salía el mensaje Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 dejo de funcionar y se cierra, ya intente actualizar el controlador, y sigue igual. Me molesta mucho, porque antes de subir a windows 8 tenía photoshop cc y me funcionaba perfectamente. Ase días también formatea la laptop de mi hermana, la lap de ella tiene windows 8 de fabrica, y al instalarle los programas, le instale photoshop cc 2014, y al abrirlo me salia la venta, de Photosho ha encontrado un problema con el controlador lo actualice y sigue igual.. I've installed Maverick and updated my cloud and have both installed, uninstalled and then again installed Adobe InDesign CC 2014 and it won't start. Adobe InDesign CS6 also won't start. Please help! I have client work to finish tonight.

I have Adobe InDesign CC 2014 version. Can an older version ex. CS6 read files from Adobe InDesign CC 2014 version?

You need to Save As > InDesign CS4 or later (IDML), and send that to a user who has a license (not subscription) to InDesign CS6.
However, if the user has a Creative Cloud subscription and is using CS6, the will have access to both versions of the application.

There is a conflict with third party software or your system keyboard shortcuts. Lately, there have been many postings about conflicts with Chrome extensions so check there first.
