Adobe indesign download problems

I purchased Adobe indesign and trying to download it. I went to the creative cloud webpage and hit download. It says it is downloading. But when I view the creative cloud apps. It says installed but I can't open it. I had previously used the trial. How do I download and start using Adobe indesign?

Adobe InDesign downloading Never-Ending file from Web

My Adobe InDesign 2.0 application has automatically gone onto the web and is downloading a file (for the last 8 hours) making the application unusable. The error message I get when trying to launch the application is:
Downloading: File 2 of 2...
No personal information is being transmitted.
File: AWEDBFiles4.awe
To: Macintosh HD:Library:Application Support:Adobe:Web:AWEDBFiles4.awe
when I go to the directory where this file is being downloaded, I see a 0 KB file entitled:
AWEDBFiles4.awe.tmp
I also see a 4KB text file entitled:
AWEXFiles.txt when I open it, it says..."we're sorry. Please try again later."
In the same directory is a 4 KB file entitled AdobeWorkflowTemp_.awf which has 8 entries for 04-14-2007 each saying:
Downloading
File is to be downloaded from: http://cgim.adobe.com/adobe_online/getAWEFiles.cgi?App=43&Lang=enu&Platform=2&DL LVer=2.0&AOMVer=2.0
File is to be downloaded to: Macintosh HD:Library:Application Support:Adobe:Web:AWEXFiles.txt

Can someone please help me get rid of this stupid download. I realize that I have an old operating system, but if you had my income, then you would not be able to upgrade either. Please help me restore my Adobe InDesign into a workable application so I can get my resume out...I need a job. Any help you give me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Here is what worked:
1. When I launched an Adobe application, I was getting an error message with a title bar that read:
"Updating Adobe Online components from Adobe.com"
The error message read:
"Downloading: File 2 of 2...
No personal information is being transmitted.
File: AWEDBFiles4.awe
To: Macintosh HD:Library:Application Support:Adobe:Web:"
The download would not end...it went on for hours.
2. In order to stop the downloads, I had to "Force Quit" the applications that I was trying to launch.
3. I went to the downloading file named on the error message:
"AWEDBFiles4.awe"
and trashed the file.
I noticed another file (a text file) with a similar name in the same directory:
"AWEXFiles.txt"
when I opened the text file it read:
"we're sorry. Please try again later."
I trashed that file too and emptied the trash.
4. I exited all open applications and shut down the computer.
5. I booted up the computer WITHOUT powering up my DSL line and modem.
6. I went to an Adobe application, in this case, Photoshop and to the "Help" pulldown menu and clicked:
"Adobe Online"
"Preferences"
"Update Options"
and clicked
"Never"
7. I exited Photoshop and shut down the computer.
8. I booted up the DSL line and modem and then the computer.
9. All is good.

Adobe Media Download Problem

I've just downloaded and installed the latest Adobe AIR - v3.6 as it asked the first time from Adobe, but it keeps showing this message. What am I doing wrong, or is it something else? I'm using Windows XP SP3.

This is a very specific case of some machines having problem with Air installation. I googled it and the closest i could get is to try installing an older Air version from here and see if that works.

Try with 3.5 runtime.
If it still doesnot work let me know. ill try getting more help on it.

InDesign download problem U43M1D201

Haven't seen this error message before:
"Unable to write to file/folder. You may exit now, try after disabling your anti-virus, or contact support. (U43M1D201)"
Firewall off, anti-virus off, I've restarted my Powerbook Pro, I've uninstalled InDesign and Creative Cloud, but the problem persists.

Indesign downloading problems

I used the free trial version of indesign, then signed up for a year. Tried to install it, but was always asked for a serial number, that I did not have. tried to deinstall my old indesign cs3 files (just moved them into the trash..probably the worng way of doing it). now every time I want to download indsign the creative cloud drop down menu pops up, I can see indesign, but cannot open it. also, it is not visible in the finder. what do i do??

I can't download adobe reader. A pop up says to close Adobe 8.1 and I have already deleted it. I have also restarted my computer and it still says 8.1 is open. What do I do?

Is Edge Animate not showing up in the Adobe Application Manager? If so your system might not meet the required Tech Specs listed here http://html.adobe.com/edge/animate/tech-specs.html.

Adobe Reader download problem! Pls help!

I recently did a little 'housekeeping' on my Mac to clear up some space. But I must have deleted something I shouldn't have...When I go to open Adobe Reader an error message pops up. "Adobe Reader could not install correctly" then in subtext "Adobe Reader was unable to install and must quit."
I have never had problems before. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can you open Adobe Reader by itself? If so, try to disable Protected Mode (Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)).
If not, tell us your operating system and Reader version.

OT: Adobe Updater download problem

Adobe Updater keeps saying... the following components could
not be downloaded (with only adobe updater listed in the
results).

I believe there is an issue with the updater tonight. Mine
came back with the same result telling me that there is a different
version. The KB article I found says it means to wait for awhile
because Adobe is updating something on their end.

Regarding Adobe CQ5 Download problem

I am trying to download Adobe Experience Manager/CQ5. But its asking for username and password. After providing [email protected] as username it's saying it's not authorized.

click on LIST ->EXPORT->LOCAL FILE ->SPREADSHEET->DESKTOP-> UR FOLDER NAME
