Adobe Indesign installation issue

Hi
I need to install Adobe Indesign trail version. I downloaded the software from the link http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=indesign
It installed Adobe download assitant. While trying to login with my adobe id ([email protected]), it give error 100 Error communicating with Adobe.com .
I tried the steps in the link http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html#main_Solutio n_1, but the error stiil exists.
Please help as I have been trying this for more than a week.....
Any direct link to Adobe indesign download also would help.

Adobe AIR installation issue - hangs at "Installing..."

Hello everyone!
I know questions similar to this have been asked many times before, but I did not manage to find the solution to my problem after a few hours of reading and trying the various 'solutions' around the net and this forum. I apologise if I missed it.
I cannot seem to install Adobe AIR. I run a freshly downloaded installation executable, but it hangs at "Installing..." and 0% progress for a very, very, very long time, if I let it. This last try has been going for 45 minutes as I write. The only way to get out of the installer is through Task Manager and killing the service, as hitting 'Cancel' just makes the installer attempt to cancel endlessly.
I tried installing it in safe mode but there it gives an error saying I may not have administrative permissions (which I do have);
I created a new user account;
I "run as Administrator" and am using an account with administrative rights;
I tried it through the command line with putting the file in c:\ and running "AdobeAIRInstaller.exe -silent" without quotes from c:\;
I have shut off all my antivirus software;
I tried downloading it with a different browser;
I tried using the MicrosoftFixit.ProgramInstallUninstall, and took Adobe AIR off the list;
I tried uninstalling all Adobe products and then reinstalling them, with Adobe AIR last
... and some more things, but none of this has helped. Here's what the installation log generates when it hangs:

Ok, I understand. So before we continue, we really need to figure out what the exact error is. Can you, on at least 2 systems, generate the MSI logs we'll need? Here's a document that explains how to enable logging and where to find the logs once they've been created:
How to enable Windows logging
Once you've enabled logging, try installing again. Grab the newly created msi logs and either post here or email me at [email protected] I'll examine the logs and see if we can find a common issue between the systems.

Another Adobe Air installation issue

I'm sorry you're running into installation issues with AIR. Microsoft has just released a new utility that can help resolve installation problems. Would you mind giving this a try and let us know how it works for you? When running the Fix it, go through the uninstall process and try to remove Adobe AIR from your system. Once finished, download the latest version of AIR and install again.

Error 11 for Adobe InDesign Installation

I keep receiving Error 11 when installing Adobe InDesign, prompting me to uninstall and then reinstall the program. I attempted to uninstall and then reinstall but received the error again when I tried opening it up on my Mac desktop. Any guidance is much appreciated.

Adobe Reader installation issue

The below image is the issue that I am having when trying to download Adobe Reader. I have internet connection. I have tried disabling all of my computer security in attempts to download Adobe Reader. I am running Windows 8.1 on a HP Pavilion. What could be going wrong with the installation? Also, I have tried doing the installation through Firefox, Chrome, and IE. Any ideas?

I am trying to download the latest Adobe Reader release. The problem is that it keeps getting disrupted during install. I can't figure out why this is happening. Adobe InDesign Button Issue (on master page)

I created previous page and next page buttons along with a table of contents button on the master page of the document. The same master is applied to all pages in the document. My issue is when I export to an interactive PDF, my buttons are only showing up on the first 2 pages of the PDF (it is a 10 page document). Any ideas? Is this a setting or something I have checked by mistake?

I'm having a similar issue--I have Multiple State Objects that contain text. Some have scrollable text and others do not (because there isn't any need--the text fits in the space without scrolling). When I preview them in Adobe Content Viewer, either desktop or device, the text does not show, except the scrollable frames. When I preview in SWF Preview, that text shows. What's wrong?
Also, when using the "Paste into" command, sometimes my item pastes to the top of the next spread and never pastes where I cut it from. Is there no way to "paste in place" along with the "paste into" command??? It's a reaal pain to align my object exactly where I want it, then cut it, then "paste into" my frame, and then have the damn thing wind up way off screen, and even on the next spread, where to move it back I have to use the direct selection tool rather than the normal selection tool. I repeat, it's a REAL PAIN!!!

Adobe Presenter Installation Issue

Hi I just installed Acrobat 9 Extended which was supposed to
ship with Presenter.
I am running Windows XP SP 2 and Powerpoint 2003 SP 3.
I do not see the menu item in powerpoint.
How do I know if it even installed?
Would there be a folder in Programs labeled Adobe Presenter ?
Any tips for getting this installed correctly would be
appreciated.

Yes , there will be a folder <systemdrive>\Program
Files\Adobe\Presenter 7 if Presenter is installed at default
location .
Presenter 7 is shipped with Acrobat 9 Extended but is not
installed as part of Acrobat . You need to install it separately
and make sure that you install it by clicking on Install Presenter
button shown in Autoplay menu shown when DVD is inserted .(Don't
install it directly via MSI installer)

InDesign installation issue

My InDesign CC installation keeps failing. I keep getting this error message:
Installation failed
Unable to extract to temp directory. Please contact customer support.

It turns out I didn't have 7zip. After installing I got the same error message, so I went into the Temp folder and found the .7z InDesign file and copied it to my desktop. I then extracted it manually and ran the setup.exe. After that, all I had to do was install it manually and it worked.

Adobe 9 - Installer issue - Calls another program installer?

I can download the program and run the installer just fine. The problem starts when the installer calls ACMSETUP.EXE which calls a startup of my 16-BIT Microsoft ODBC Installer program. I'm not even sure why it's still on my machine, but it is. The Adobe installer seems to be calling it from somewhere and even if I cancel the ODBC install, the Adobe program fails out with no install.
Anyone see this?

I recommend the Acrobat forums. CreatePDF is something quite different. You should also contact the PC supplier for your install disk, it's their job to provide it to you. Good luck!

Adobe Air Installation Issues

I am trying to install Adobe Air but keep getting an error that states...
This Application requires a version of Adobe Air which cannot be found.
Please download the latest version of the runtime from
http://www.adobe.com/go/getair
or contact the application author for an updated version
Again, i get this when trying to install Adobe Air.
The PC is a Win7 home Premium 64 bit Gateway
Any help would be appreciated.

It appears that your log looks ok. Could you try uninstalling your application, verifying that the folder was removed from Program Files, then reinstalling?

Adobe Flash Installation Issues

Windows 7, Firefox. I have tried to install an updated version of the flash player and I am getting the connection issues when it is downloading. I then try the 17 meg version and it stalls right at the end, eventually it finishes (or times out) and when I try to run it, it tells me I don't have a valid win-32 application. Thinking that my current version might have been corrupt, I uninstalled it using your instructions on the uninstall-flash-player page. I uninstalled, verified that it was uninstalled, but my install still isn't working. I have turned off my McAfee firewall, etc. Help!

"Not a valid Win32 application" is almost ALWAYS a bad download. Usually cause by Antivirus deleting a portion of it because of poor or outdated definitions.
Disable your Antivirus completely (not just the firewall - the scan will delete things and corrupt them even with the firewall off - McAfee and Norton are the worst) and THEN download and install from that link.

Adobe CS3 Installation Issue

I have the Adobe CS3 Web Premium Suite and have been able to install everything except Version Cue. No matter what I seem to do it returns errors to me saying it could not be installed. I have the firewall allowing all incoming connections and have try running the repair permissions, both done with no luck. Has anyone had any success with this?

For what it's worth, Version Cue installed with no errors on my computer (10.5.1 at the time).
But as Kappy says, if you don't need it (or maybe even if you do) you're better off without it. I don't use it and would uninstall it if I knew how (Adobe apps are infamous for NOT uninstalling with a simple drag-to-trash).
