Adobe InDesign with 10.5.7?

I noticed on the system requirements for Adobe InDesign it lists "Mac OS X v10.4.11–10.5.4". Does anyone run this software on 10.5.5+, more specifically 10.5.7?

You don't give us a hint of the InDesign version but I would suspect it is CS4 version 6. Reading the notes for 6.03 update it does say now 10.4.11 to 10.5.6. In as much as this version is the latest and there have been no issues on Adobe forums (which you can check as well) about 10.5.7 I'm sure you can extrapolate the requirements. In other words give it a try.

  • Virtualizing Adobe InDesign with Q2ID using Microsoft App-V

    Hi,
    We need to virtualize Adobe InDesign application along with Q2ID plugin.  From our evaluation, we found that we can virtualize Adobe InDesign separately, but we cannot integrate Q2ID plugin with Adobe InDesign.
    Kindly help us to virtualize Adobe InDesign with Q2ID i.e, we need Q2ID to be embedded within Adobe InDesign.
    Your help is greatly appreciated

  • Nested Object Calculation using Adobe InDesign with JavaScriptExtended.

    Hi
                          In my App.Document have different types of textframes and images with several parastyles. I want to make mesurement calculation (in mm)the between the particular parastyle data with image using Adobe JavaScriptExtended.
    Ex:
    <start:>
          <Obj:Image>abc.bmp
          <Para:Name>Sen
          <Para:Add>345, Annan Street
          <Para:City>KKT
    <End:>
                         Like above, I have created data with different format, but I would like to calculate (between <start:> and <End:>)this particular type of data in my app.document.
    Note:
            1. Parastyles are applied in Adobe Indesign
            2. Data from Tagged Text.
            3. Mesurement in .jsx [javascriptExtended].
                         I can mesure this issue, but the image indent was distrub to provide accurate mesurement. Please help me to solve this problems.

    I do know next to nothing about CEP5.
    Just a question: Why do you try to escape "/" in the string "editor-vaCome\/ibraEEE" ?
    At least this is my guess what you want to do here…
    If you want to feed the argument string "editor-vaComet/ibraEEE" to peer.connect() you cannot "escape" that slash… At least not in terms of ExtendScript.

  • Cannot open "filename" because it was saved with a newer version of Adobe InDesign CC (10.0).

    I updated my whole cloud last week. Now I can't open a InDesign document saved just the day before. I get the error message:
    Cannot open “filename” because it was saved with a newer version of Adobe InDesign CC (10.0).
    Cannot open “filename” because it was saved with a newer version of Adobe InDesign CC (10.0). You must use that version or later to open the file. To then enable it to be opened in this version, choose save as InDesign CS4 or later, or export to IDML.
    This is a document that I created in InDesign CC just last week.

    Hi Robert,
    To open an INDD file in the older version (CS4-CC), you need to save it as an IDML. For CS3 & older versions, save it as an INX.
    Thanks

  • InDesign CC | Error with indd file - "Cannot open the file...Adobe InDesign may not support file format"

    I encountered a very strange error with InDesign CC after saving a file created in CS4. I'd attach the file but I'm not sure how to do this, if I'm able to. The file is 44kb and doesn't seem like it should be (file I saved had a large book cover). Now since the original CS4 file was overwritten using InDesign CC, the file is corrupt and I'm getting the error message displayed below. The file is not open within another application. Has anyone gotten this before?

    Thanks for your response Peter. Below is the gibber contained in the first four lines. In the first line, where it reads "mimetypeapplication" and then "indesign-idml-package", I would assume that this should've been a valid idml file.

  • Stick with Keynote or transfer to Adobe Indesign?

    I've only just started to use Keynote, primarily for live presentations. I'm equally impressed by its (creative) simplicity and display quality. However, I'll be producing more and more PDF documents from the Keynote presentations for clients to download (no commercial printing involved, though). The quality of such PDFs, which contains texts, graphs and photos, has to be impeccable (size is secondary) and I wonder if I need to switch to Adobe Indesign for this. Are PDFs made out of Indesign noticeably better than from Keynote?
    Thanks,
    Alex

    I would test the output of Keynote's PDF generator with your presentations to see if you need an improvement in quality... only you'll be able to judge if you need possibly higher quality at the expense of harder-to-produce presentations, no animations, etc.
    You say you're not doing color reproduction on commercial printers, so much of InDesign's reason d'etre will be lost. I'd be surprised if you would be able to see any quality loss from Keynote in a web browser or PDF reader.
    It sounds like you're making presentations, rather than brochures. My advice would be to use the tool that makes it easiest for you to create great-looking presentations... then you can spend your time making them look better, instead of on color management or page layout.

  • Adobe InDesign CS6 with the latest version ProjectWise

  • Using Peerjs with Adobe InDesign

    Hy,
    I'm creating my own InDesign PlugIn and I need to connect to another web application I created. I tried using socket.io, but I didn't want to have another server, so I have passed to Peer JS, in this way I have a peer to peer system that would work perfectly, but I met some unexpected problems.
    I'm working with Adobe InDesign CC, that uses CEP5, which has support for google chrome BROWSER (CEF (Chromium extended framework )).
    In the Docs it's said that CEP5 has support even for WebRTC but when I try to connect with peerjs (wich uses WebRTC) to another peer I get a :"TypeError: undefined is not a function", under further investigation I discovered that the error is thrown by Object.Negotiator._startPeerConnection, but I can't understand what I'm getting wrong...
    I tried using the same PEER JS code in another application(just a normal web site) and connecting to the same peer and was successfull, so I'm guessing that the problem is the in WebRTC support provided by InDesign.
    I am not confined to using PEER JS, I just want my adobe plugin and my site to communicate in the most intelligent way possible, so any idea is welcome, however this is the piece of code of my plugin where I try to connect to the PEERJS
        var peer = new Peer({key: mySecretKey});
        var conn = peer.connect('editor-vaComeVibraEEE');//the exception is     generated here
        conn.on('open', function(){
            conn.send('hi!');
    Thank's for the help... . . .

    I do know next to nothing about CEP5.
    Just a question: Why do you try to escape "/" in the string "editor-vaCome\/ibraEEE" ?

  • Adobe InDesign is not compatible with my Laptop?!

    I just have bought the Adobe InDesign CC Version for one month. Now I realized that this version is not compatible with my laptop, which has Windows Vista as system software. Now I have two questions. The first one is: How can I cancel the contract with Adobe and get my money back. The second: Where do I get a compatible Version of InDesign for my laptop? Thanks

    System requirements | InDesign
    InDesign CS5.5 was the last version compatible with Vista - but Adobe no longer sells that version.
    Have you considered upgrading your computer to Windows 7?
    Or getting a new computer?

  • Incompatible with Adobe InDesign (Error code: 14)

    Hi all,
    I've been having major problems with InDesign CS3 and OS 10.5. It always crashes when I try to Place, Export, Save As, anything that requires it to navigate the finder.
    Now, while trying to export to PDF, the document froze. So I had to force quit it. Now ANY InDesign file I try to open gives me the error message:
    The file "file name" is incompatible with Adobe InDesign (Error code: 14).
    Has anyone experienced this? I'm now stuck as I cannot open anything to get some work done.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi all
    I have the excat same problem. Indesign CS5 and also my CS4 comes op with the error code 14.
    It qrashes before I get into the program, also when I open it throug the program Icon and not the file.
    I have tried:
    Restarting
    Shot down and take out the power cord for severeal minutes
    Deleting the preference files "Defaults" and "SavedData" manualy
    Deleting the file "InfoPlist.Strings" in folder "itlproj" which was a folder that keept showing on restart. (it was a italian languae to a dropdown shadow throug Flash CS5)
    Remove indesign CS5 and CS4 (with the program uninstall icon) and reinstalled it
    I have no clue to what more I can do. Think it could be a system fault. I have the following:
    Mac OS X Version 10.6.8
    Dual core Intel Xeron

    It just suddenly didnt work. Couldnt copy paste text from a mail into a file in Indesign and then it just crashed. Havent installed any new updates or programs so it is very weird.

  • Saved with a newer version of Adobe indesign (CS8.0)

    latest version of creative cloud will not open indesign files i get "saved with a newer version of Adobe indesign (CS8.0)"

    You've got the wrong version of InDesign to open the file, it's that simple.
    InDesign Cs6 is available on Creative Cloud, and if that's up to date it won't open InDesign CC or InDesign CC 2014 files.
    You'll need to download InDesign CC2014 from the Creative Cloud.
