For those wondering, the folios shown are the exact same folios as were published for iOS. We didn't make any content changes at all in building the app.
In general everything works well but we did learn a few tips along the way. The most important: if you are adding a web overlay to your folio and intend to use it on other platforms make sure to check the "scale content to fit" option. Otherwise when it shows up on a device that will scale the folio to fit the screen (like Windows and Android) the web content won't be scaled and will look somewhat... odd. We have ideas to make this at least a little better in future releases, but the best thing you can do from a content authoring perspective is to check that scale to fit option!
Don't forget to pin the app to your start screen to check out the sweet live tile action too.

Updated Adobe Content Viewer for Windows Store now available
The latest release of Adobe Content Viewer for Windows Store is now available for download. Note that depending on your location it could take up to 24 hours for the updated viewer to appear in the store. If you already have a previous version of the viewer installed Windows will auto-update the app for you within the next 24-48 hours. The new version displays 3.4.3.5 in the About pane.

Just download Adobe Reader XI for windows 8.1, it doesn't work. My OS is Windows 8.1 64-bits. Two dialogues appear as 1.) AcroRd32.exe Error, The instruction at 0x9068675f reference memory at 0x9068675f. The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the program. 2.) Adobe Reader ha stopped working, a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution ia available.
What is the Reader XI version you installed?
Does this also happen when you open Reader by itself? If not, can you try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)]. -
I just bought a ScanSnap scanner and it came with Adobe Acrobat Standard for Windows - but I have a Mac - can I get the Mac version?

Acrobat Standard has not been developed for Mac platform so Mac version is not available. It can only run on windows machine.

Trying to install Acrobate 8 Standard on PC with Windows 7, 64 bit. During the installation I was asked to provide "File Adobe PDF.dll for Windows Vista. How can I obtain the required file?
Nothing in the Acrobat 8.x product family is compatible with Windows 7 (or any contemporary OS).
The Acrobat 8.x product family passed into End of Support way back -- (November 2011).
The current release of Acrobat (XI) is compatible in Windows 7.

Editing iMovie files with Adobe Premiere Elements for Windows
Hi,
My 12 year old asked for Final Cut Pro for Christmas to edit movies he takes on his iPod touch and iPad. However, he has a Windows-based desktop. As I understand it, Final Cut Pro is not a Windows-based program. I thought we could get him Adobe Premiere Elements for Windows, but will he be able to manipulate his iMovie files easily? I have no idea what format the iMovie files are. Will he be able to download them to his Windows desktop, edit his movie, and then upload back to his Apple devices? Thanks!clue

Details...
The iPod touch and iPad typically offer video files H.264.mov or H.264.mp4 formats. This is not a Mac versus Windows matter because we are talking exports (.mov and .mp4) not project files from a video editing project.
He should be able to take his iPod or iPad device videos and edit them in Premiere Elements. And, then he should be able to return them to his device(s).
But, many of these devices record video with a variable frame rate (depending on the lighting conditions to a great extent). Premiere Elements (any version) can have problems with such video to the extend (a) out of sync audio (b) cannot import file at all. I have a iPod Touch 4th Generation and have no Premiere Elements importing/editing/exporting problems with my 1280 x 720 @ 30 progressive frames per second (H.264.mov) video from that iPod.

It is no longer for sale through legitimate retail channels. You could test your luck by finding a copy for sale on eBay but those are most often pirated. You might as well find a pirated copy for free than give your credit card info to a pirate.

I have adobe acrobat pro for windows and it is freezing up when I try to convert a word file to pdf... I have tried to get this done six ways from Sunday but it is just not working... help! Chris.
It would be helpful to know what version of Acrobat, WORD, and operating system.
Without that info, I would suggest at this point to open your WORD file and then go to the print menu and print to file using the Adobe PDF printer. Open the created file in Distiller and see if you get a PDF. If so, check to see if AcroTray is running in the background.
You say you tried many ways. It would help to know what you tried and what worked or did not work, and at what point the failure occurs. -

http://www.adobe.com/products/reader/tech-specs.html doesn't mention Windows Server 2012. I expect it should work. It should not kill the system. Give it a try an let us know. -

How do you search bold text in Adobe Reader XI for Windows?
We create documents electronically that contain bold text for a client. No matter what we try in Adobe Reader XI for Windows, bold text is not found. Is it not searchable? Is there a setting that we are overlooking to enable it? So far, only NitroPDF is the only program I can find that works.
I just created a small test PDF (test_bold.pdf) with some bold words in it. Reader XI (11.0.09) has no trouble finding these words.

Reader Touch works in all Windows 8 systems BUT it is intended mainly for use in mobile tablets - I see no particular reason to use it unless you can'r run Reader XI. Given it is mainly for use on mobile that can't use Flash, we aren't likely to ever see the development team spending their time on this.
If you want the latest and greatest - at least try Reader XI, not X! (Flash is a separate download, it will prompt). -

The app is not founded in googleplay..I encountered the same issue. You (in theory) would simply update the APK file. Find the AndroidManifest.xml

NOTE: I have not been able to get this to actually work LIVE in the play store where I have had some success with actually putting it on my device. I can get the app store to say that it is compatabile on small/medium/large/xlarge screens, teasing me with joy prior to the error I get when I attempt to install that the item is "not properly signed". This could be something with the META_INF xml file, the version of JDK and apktools or jarsign I am using, I certainly dont know... yet, but after about 10+ hours I am fairly certain of one thing: Adobe does not want it working on small/medium screens.
(perhaps for good reason...)
If I do come up with a solution I will post. As perhaps a feature request, would be great to have the following in the App builder:
1- Advanced tab
A: allows us to manually enter the

Does Adobe Reader Touch for Windows 8 support forms with auto calculation?
I'm using a preformatted form that contains auto calculations. When I use it on Adobe reader 11 on my laptop, it works. However, when I use the Adobe reader app for windows eight the auto calculations do not work. Is there anything I Can do?
Adobe Reader Touch (Windows Store app with "Modern" UI) does not support JavaScript yet. Thus, auto calculations or field formatting will not work.
If your operating system is Windows 8/8.1 (Pro), not Windows RT, you can install and run Adobe Reader XI (desktop app with classic UI).
If your operating system is Windows RT, you may want to try Microsoft Reader (the built-in PDF viewer by Microsoft) to see if auto calculations work. -
