Adobe Installer Failed to Initialize
Does anyone have any fresh ideas how to fix this issue? I've tried every trick in these forums and none of those solutions work. Specifically, I'm trying to install Photoshop CS6 and Premier CS6. I think the problem started when I installed Acrobat and then had Revo uninstall it. It took a lot of my other Adobe products with it. Photoshop and Premiere will not install anylonger. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Brian
I installed the latest AAM as you suggested and it got me closer. I can now run setup.exe withough the failure. However, now when I try to install Elements (either Photoshop or Premiere), all that installs is the editor part. The organizer does not install correctly. In other words, when I open the program and click on organizer, nothing happens. How do I solve this issue? Rather than spend a bunch of time on this, can I manage my video files through Lightroom's catalog?
I'd prefer to get the Elements program running properly as my first option.
Thanks,
Brian

Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 installer failed to initialize on Mac Book Air
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to install Adobe Premiere and After Effects CS6 for at least a month now.
I have downloaded the .dmg file at the Adobe Website and it starts to initializing the installer, then a error show up:
"The installer could not initialize. Download the Adobe Support Advisor."
There is no Adobe Support Advisor when I clicked on the link. "The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued" (http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/)
I've tried this many times, but every time being a failure.

Error: "Installer failed to initialize" | Windows
Thanks,
Atul Saini -
I receive a message when trying to open Photoshop CS6, Illustrator CS6, etc., then when I try to follow the directions for troubleshooting, the installer fails to initialize.
Error message: "Adobe Application Manager is needed to resolve this problem. However it is missing or damaged". Then, after download, the program fails to load and displays this message: "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem". When following the link, Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued 'because their products are now so stable. -I can see how stable they are.. How do I get assistance with Installer issues?
Any helpful thoughts?Hi David,
Kindly try out the steps in the below mentioned link to install Creative Cloud.

when ever i try to install photoshop cc on my laptop i keep getting this error "We've encountered the following issues installer failed to initialize. Please download adobe support advisor to detect the problem."
start at the top and work your way down applying applicable fixes until your problem is resolved.
if cc (win): https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-application-failed.html
if, your error is:
"Installer failed to initialize. File not found." or "Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to missing files."
first, rename OOBE Folder to OOBE.old.
to find OOBE:
64 bit win OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
32 bit win OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
mac os: HD>library>application support>adobe>caps
mac os: USER>library>application support>adobe>OOB
if that fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.
if you're using a dvd to install:
copy the disc contents to a desktop directory and install from that directory.
if you're using a mac:
1. Try to Create a new user account in Mac with Administrator Priviledges.
2. Login to the New user, Navigate to Mac HD> Application> Utilities> Adobe Installer folder, Locate products like Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and un-install them
3. Navigate to User Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
4. Navigate to Mac HD> Library> Application Support> Adobe and move Adobe to Trash.
5. Start the installation again.
if everything applicable above fails, check your installation logs:

Can't get Photoshop Elements 11 to install.
... Adobe Installer message: Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.
... Adobe Support Advisor message "Inspection could not identify any issues. Please contact Adobe Support for further assistance. http://www.adobe.com/support."
... .... So far I have downloaded twice, to two different folders (Desktop and my default download folder). Neither option has worked. Please help! I'd like to download Premiere Elements 11, but with this kind of installation problem on PSE11, it seems a second program may be as much of a problem to try to install. As Mylenium has stated all we have is a very general error message at this point so it is impossible to advise you until we have additional details. Please review your installation logs by following the steps listed in Troubleshoot install using logs | Elements - http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-install-using-logs-elements.html.

Adobe CC installer fails to initialize in Windows 8.1
I tried cutting and pasting the opm.db file to the desktop as recommended in one thread. Still the CC installer fails to initialize. Any one found a fix yet?
Hola
Had you try this yet?
WIN 7 and 8 (64 bit):
Rename OOBE to OOBE_old located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
Relaunch the Browser
Go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
Sign in with Adobe ID and password and download CC desktop app.
WIN 7 and 8 (32 bit):
Rename OOBE to OOBE_old located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe
Relaunch the Browser
Go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

Adobe Indesign CS5.5 Disc - Installer failed to initialize
I have been trying unsuccessfully to install my Adobe Indesign cs5.5 disc for the first time into my Dell Latitude E6400 laptop (Windows vista, intel core2 /duo - I meet all the system requirements). I keep getting the message "Installer failed to initialize. Please contact Adobe support."
I followed the indesign cs5 help suggestions at adobe.com and ran the Adobe Cs5 cleaner tool. This did not help. I also turned off my anti-virus to be sure.
Should I instead download the program from the internet and then enter my serial code? Is this my only option? Could you please give me some other suggestions. Your help is greatly appreciated.
DavidDavid:
I ran Adobe Support Adivsor toll, and the response was "Inspection could not identify any issues." I did not see any log files.
Just to confirm, you went to %APPDATA%\Local\Temp and found that there were a lot of files there, but there was not one called PDApp.log? Are you sure you have the right path?
If that's so, then the installer is failing really early. I suppose it's silly, but have you tried rebooting?
I find it doubtful that uninstalling Acrobat or Reader would help. Though I am slightly curious whether their Uninstallers launch. (For most Adobe products, the Uninstaller and the Installer are very similar, and they both do a bunch of checks and then pop up a window. For uninstallers, there is a chance to confirm before uninstalling. It would be interesting to know if the uninstallers fail to start the same way your InDesign installer has failed. But Acrobat is the product Least Like all the others. It's uninstaller might not behave this way, I'm not sure).
Still, we are getting down to weird or obscure problems. So it may be time to try solutions that are abnormal.
So, lacking anything better to do, assuming you have quadruple-checked for the above log file, why don't you go with your initial idea and try downloading the trial installer. And if it still doesn't work, sure, try uninstalling Acrobat first. -
I am having trouble installing cs6 mc from both dvd and download.
I keep getting the same error for the Installer "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem."
Is there a fix for this?

Adobe CS6 'Installer failed to initialize' on Windows 7. Help!
I downloaded the Adobe Extended CS6 from Adobe.com on to my Windows 7 (HP) Dell laptop on 64bit.
After unpacking the downloaded file, I tried to run the installer but got the message - 'Installer failed to initialize'. It tells me to dowload the Adobe Support Advisor but the program is no longer available. See- Adobe - Adobe Support Advisor
This new link just gives generic links. (Thanks for that Adobe!)
In trying to fix this, I have uninstalled all Adobe Cloud/Flash software and ran the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner and CCleaner tools. And yet the problem persists.
I've lost half a day trying to fix this, so if there's anyone out there who can help I'd be very grateful! Is your user profile on the C: drive? How about the Temp directory?

Thanks!!!Hi Barmbs,
It sounds like there might be some restriction in relation to your user account permissions when installing. You might try creating a new administrative account and installing from there. Be sure to give it rights to administer the computer.
