Adobe Interactive Forms - F4 help for fields

Hi,
I'm new to Adobe Interactive Forms.
I'm building a interactive form and there in it I've a field named as CARRID which is bound to webdynrpo context.
Is there any way through which we can enable F4 help for a DataField( CARRID in my case ) in both Online and Offline Forms.
Any pointers will be appreciated..

Hi,
In the library Webdynpro Native there is a UI for value help drag the UI in ur lay out and bind the value of the field in click event.
var fieldName = "CARRID"; // CARRID is the field name

Settings in WAS for ADOBE Interactive Form

Hi all,
What settings need to be done on server(WAS) side so that adobe interactive form can be used in the application.
Actually i have developed an application, first view of it is an adobe interactive form having 4 input fields and i am displaying this inputs in textview in next view after navigation.
But I am getting the following error when i run the program and try to diplay the adobe form.
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.clientserver.adobe.pdfdocument.base.core.PDFDocumentRuntimeException: Failed to UPDATEDATAINPDF
Experts please help me in this regards

it says prerequisites as below
You change the user settings in the J2EE Engine.
1. Log on to the Visual Administrator. (See How to Start the Visual Administrator [Page 57].)
2. On the Cluster tab, choose Server <x> u2192 Services u2192 Security Provider.
3. Choose User Management and then the Tree tab in the left panel.
4. Select ADSCallers u2192 ADSUser.
5. In the Authentication area, choose Add.
6. In the Add Certificates dialog box, from the Select view drop-down list box, select the ADSCerts view.
7. From the Select entries list, select the certificate that you want to associate with this user, and then choose OK.
8. In the Authentication area, select No password change required.

Adobe Interactive Form in Blackberry?

Hi Everybody,
I had designed a Adobe Interactive form in webdynpro for java in netweaver developer studio. Now i want to run the url of this application in blackberry browser.
Actually I am able to run the webdynpro for java applications in blackberry simulator by executing the generated url of the webdynpro applications.But when I am trying the same with webdynpro for java application which contains adobe interactive form, blackberry is unable to display the form in browser.
Please help me out with some procedure to do so. Will "dochawk" or "reqwireless webviewer" will help. if so please give the clarrification.

Hello Madhu,
To show a PDF on your blackberry hand held device, you would need a micro edition
of Acrobat Reader installed on the device. As far as i know, there is no such Reader available in the market as of now from Adobe. Hence, your scenario can not be realized.
Web Dynpro can render itself on the blackerry because Web Dynpro's html client generates "html" output which is understandable by the blackberry browser.

Adobe Forms is the second step in the HCM process, as HCM is the online process..in between of the process adobe form will come in to picture to fill online.
What is the difference between Interactive/Non-Interactive Forms?
In non-interactive forms,there is no database interaction.If u say interactive forms.if u enter data in the form data will be saved directly in the data base..
In which sub-modules of SAP HCM are such forms used?
OM(Orzanization Management),PA(Personel Adminstration) and PD(personel Admin) ..ect...
What is that an HCM consultant has to expect from Basis and ABAP consultants for this?
from basis HCM dont required more help..only authorization and access only.
from ABAP u need more..if u use standard backend system..some times data will not picked automatically at that time through BADI u need to fill the data to the form,and to do validation in the form level..ABAPER need to write scripting

- to download offline PDF forms.
- to upload PDF forms and display Forms online.

Hi,
Downloading a form is as simple as when u enduser opens a form online, he just saves a copy of it, fills it up and uploading is just the next step.

Need help with calculated fields in Adobe Interactive Forms

Hi Gurus,
I have an Adobe Interactive form in which i have radio buttons. Upon selecting any of the radio buttons, value in text box should be changed( Calculqated filedS). How i can achieve this?

No, it's working ,with one remark.
I've done a mistake, in the final formula. The logic remain the same! ;)
The calculation values for second column ( COL2 ) are 1,2,3 and not 0,1,2 as I wrote before and as for COL1 are so the formula is
=3*if(COL1="ABC",0,IF(COL1="DEF",1,2)+if(COL2="RST",1,IF(COL2="YYZ",2,3)
and not
=3*if(COL1="ABC",0,IF(COL1="DEF",1,2)+if(COL2="RST",0,IF(COL2="YYZ",1,2)
I created also a real example for you, with 2 dif calculation ways . First I created 2 calc_columns for COL1 and COL2 ( CALC_COL1+CALC_COL and after I added both these 2 column , and second way is to calculate directly) .

Making field for output in adobe Interactive Form

Hi Gurus,
Actually we have an requirement to input date from user, But user always select the wrong format for date.
Hence it is required to select the date from F4 only.
Let us the optimal solution for this.

Do one thing...
write the following code on "intialize" event of LSF field:
xfa.host.messageBox( $.rawValue );
if ( $.rawValue == 0.0 ) {
$.rawValue = "";
What is the message coming in messageBox in case of value is 0, write that value in if condition.

Search Help on Adobe Interactive Form with Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi All,
I have created Adobe Interactive Form with ZCI type and XML based interface type using Webdynpro ABAP.
I placed a text field USER_NAME on the form ( data element is linked to search help USER_COMP ).
Added Native WD UI element 'Value Help' to form to search for users and changed script
*var fieldName = "INSERT_NAME_HERE*"; to var fieldName = "USER_NAME";
The problem is that when I click on the value help button, nothing happens.
Is any more additional steps required ?

Use Of Dictionary Based search help in adobe interactive form

Hi friends,
I wanted to export the search help value into corresponding field of Adobe interactive form.
I am using dictionary type search help in WD context attribute property. I am able to get the search help popup with right data on form. But if select some value it is not exporting data into the field and getting "entry too longer" error.
Can any one help out for this issue.
Note : Wanted to use only dictionary based search help.

Adobe interactive form for flexible compensation plan

Dear Experts
I am new to adobe interactive form. I have to develop a form for Flexible Compensation Plan Structure   in this form when an employee enter his employee id all the data should be displayed in the form and side wise a blank text field
will come for few fields in which user fill the data according to his requirement .Is there any function module is there to retrieve the data. or please suggest the data how to do?
Scenario in Details
   Employee ID                        001
   Employee Name                  XYZ
   Grade Code                          M4
   Department Code              SAP competency Center

Problem with ACF for Adobe Interactive Forms

Hi Gurus,
I had created an adobe interactive form using web dynpro for abap, but I am getting the 500 connection timed out error in the browser when I test the web dynpro application. Where as a normal web dynpro application without adobe form is running successfully.
The system details are :-
     Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0
     NW04S SPS9
     Adobe Reader 9
     IE 7.
I followed the note 766191 and downloaded and installed ACF(for NW04s and higher version supported upto acrobat reader 9) from browser itself.
I also followed the note 1150277 for enabling IE settings on ActiveX controls. And I checked in IE with Tools->Internet Options->Programs->Manage Add-ons, but the ACF components were not available.
Please help me out.

You can achieve this by creating a Input Field on the form, you can control the visibility of this input field on the mouseEnter and mouseExit events of the field where you want to provide the help.
Second option is ToolTip. Select the field on which you want to give Bubble help. Go to Accessibility pallette and there in Tooltip section write the text you want to display.
