Adobe Intractive form

Hi all,
Could anyone provide me the link/url to find good beginners document for Adobe intractive form.
Many thanks in advance.
Regards,
Nithya

I agree with Otto, the tutorial "Offline Interactive Forms Using ABAP" is an excellent place to begin. The paper is hands-on, detailed, and related to a complete business process. It covers creating an interface, form, and generating the form, as well as sending the form, filling the form, and extracting the data back into SAP.
Below are a few points to keep in mind which may help you as you proceed,
- The general template for an Adobe form print program includes: (A) Getting the generated function module name (ABAP function module created from the form), (B) Opening a print job (C) Calling the generated function module name and (D) Closing the print job.
- Form processing parameters of the type SFDOCPARAMS control if a form is fillable and dynamic.
- Form output parameters of the type SFPOUTPUTPARAMS control things such as print preview, retrieval of a PDF, spool settings, etc
- I highly recommend the SAP Press book "SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe". It includes step by step instructions, can be used as a reference for each step of the tutorial, and is easily searchable if you get the online version
- After you go through the tutorial, you can try to relate some of the content to standard SAP reports such as program FP_TEST_IA_01
Good luck!

  • Use of Adobe Intractive forms in SAP

    Hi All,
    I wanna make use of Adobe intractive forms in one application. when i use transaction SFP and click on the layout tab i get following error message.
    Could not start Layout Designer (see long text)
    Message no. FPUIFB086
    Diagnosis
    The forms design tool for developing the form layout could not be started; either it is not installed or there are errors in the installation.
    Procedure
    Make sure that you have the forms design tool installed on your desktop (the tool is part of the SAPGUI installation).
    Also read SAP Note 801524.
    I looked for the same issue on SDN and someone resolved it after installing 'SAP JAVA Stack' while some other resolved it by installing 'Adobe life cycle designer 8.0' .I raised an AHD for the same but CCD guyz say that there is nothing like that.
    Can anyone suggest solution for this if you have faced same issue.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    The same kind of issue was faced.
    The solution is:
    Installation of Adobe Life Cycle Designer.

  • Internal table in adobe print forms

    hi there,
    in my WDA-application i use adobe print forms for output.
    i use a table for displaying an internal abap-table.
    in the formular-hierarchy it looks like this:
    table2
    --> line1
      --> cell1
      --> cell2
      --> cell3
    my problem is that i am a complete newbie in scripting in print forms.
    here is what i want to do:
    if cell1 = 'X' then the text in cell2 has to be bold or underlined.
    Can someone provide me with a code-example either in javascript or formclac???
    thx
    David

    thx for answering.
    first i tried the following code:
    data.T1.Tabelle2::ready:form - (JavaScript, Client) -
    this.Zeile1.Zelle2.font.weight = "bold";
    this.Zeile1.Zelle2.font.underline = "1";
    the result is, that cell2 is bold and underlined but only the first row of the table. i want all cell2 in all rows bold and underlined.
    then i tried this:
    data.T1.Tabelle2::ready:form - (JavaScript, Client) -
    if(this.Zeile1.Zelle1.rawValue == "01"
    this.Zeile1.Zelle2.font.weight = "bold";
    this.Zeile1.Zelle2.font.underline = "1";
    nothing happens and i dont understand why. The visible value in Zelle1 is "01"!

  • Web Service is not triggering  using Adobe Interactive Form

    Hello Experts,
      I know this is a common topic now , but the problem I am facing, no thread help me to solve that.
    Problem:--
    My requirement is to create an adobe form , in which
      -> an input field is needed,and some  description is needed.
    I used button to trigger my webservice.
    Here , I want to clear that , I have made a proper WEB SERVICE using Remote Enabled FM.
    My web service is working fine as I have tested from WS NAVIGATOR(Note:  http://<source>:<port>/wsnavigator).
    In Adobe Form (SFP), I have made a new Data connection using WebService WSDL.
    All Request and Response parameters are availabe in Data View palletes of Form.
    Button that is available from data connection is used.
    I  have used Button as  an Execute button , under execute tab in connection , I had given DATA CONNECTION name .
    But above things not worked so ,
    I also tried with Regular Button , and under click written Javascript/FormCalc  which is:--
    var cURL = 'http://x.y.com:8012/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZMATERIAL_DESCRIPTION?sap-client=800&wsdl=1.1';
    var service = SOAP.connect(cURL);
    xfa.connectionSet.DataConnection2.execute(0);
    But this also not worked .
    So, I think there can be a little issue may be , I am forgetting to click some special  atrributes in form .
    Please help me and let me know what can be probable reasons that webservice is not triggering
    Thanks a lot ,
    Jeet

  • How to populate dynamic table in Adobe Livecycle form with cfpdfform?

    Hello all,
    after two days search on the above topic without results I hope someone here can help me.
    The problem:
    I have an Adobe PDF form created with Adobe Livecycle Designer that has a dynamic table inside it. The table Table1 consists of a Header Row with 4 cells of text and a data row Row1 with four cells each one having a Textfield Cell1, Cell2,Cell3 and Cell4.
    Table1 sits inside a subform mytable. The subform is made to flow and the Row1 has the Binding Repeat Row for Each Data Item checked.
    Everything is enclosed within the standard subform form1.
    Whe I use the following code, I supposed that the table should have two rows..because it is said it will be dynamic:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <cfpdfform action="populate" source="test.pdf" destination="testout.pdf" overwrite="yes" >
    <cfpdfsubform name="form1">

          <cfpdfsubform name="Row2">

      </cfpdfsubform>
    </cfpdfsubform>
    </cfpdfform>
    <cfpdfform action="read" source="testout.pdf" result="testout" />
    <cfdump var="#testout#">
    </body>
    </html>
    What happes is:
    The testout.pdf displays just one row,with the values 1,2,3,4 the second row is only visible when I export the data as xml but not within the PDF.
    Please can someone enlighten me?
    Thanks and regards
    Gilbert

    When populating your pdf fields, you can loop through all the records in a query like so...
       <cfloop from="1" to="#query1.recordCount#" index="i">
                <cfpdfformparam name="txtField1_#i#" value="#query1.Field1[i]#">
                <cfpdfformparam name="txtField2_#i#" value="#query1.Field2[i]#">
      </cfloop>
    This will handle two rows or thirty rows just the same.  In this case my fields in the pdf have the row # as a suffix.

  • Adobe PDF form / submit sutton does nothing in Safari 5.1.2

    Hi,
    We display embedded Acrobat PDF forms containing a submit button in Safari.
    If I press "submit" nothing happens, this worked some Safari versions before.
    My Adobe Reader is: Adobe Reader X, Version 10.1.1
    My Safari version is 5.1.2, I removed and reinstalled it, still does not work.
    Reading this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8302233/pdf-submit-a-form-button-safari
    "I contacted Adobe again, and their technical support was more helpful.
    It is a known issue, and Adobe suggests using a different browser, or downgrade to Safari 5.0.1.
    Adobe will soon issue a patch for this to work with Safari 5.1.1.
    Well, I have 5.1.2 and this does not seam to be fixed yet.
    Downgrading my Safari version to 5.0.1 made the Adobe PDF forms work again with Safari, the submit button does  something.
    Does anybody have some information about this? Is there another way to solve this issue then to downgrade to version 5.0.1 ?
    Thanks for helping

    Hello,

  • How to binnding the data in the adobe interactive forms for making a table?

    Hi, experts,
    Function:
    Through the sharing context node between adobe interactive form and a WDA for ABAP, display the data of the sflight_node in the ADOBE.
    version:
    Acrobat Reader 8.1.0
    currently both of the SAP-ABA and SAP-BASIS SP level: 9
    ADS : Successful.
    The following is my action:
    1.     Create a interface (Z_SFLIGHT_INTF) with a attribute node (SFLIGHT_NODE) that type is "sflight"  using the transaction code "sfp"
    2.     Create a form (Z_SFLIGHT_FORM) using the transaction code "sfp" with the interface Z_SFLIGHT_INTF.
    3.     Trag the sflight_node in the Z_SFLIGHT_INTF to the form( Z_SFLIGHT_FORM).
    4.     Open the layout tab in the form(Z_SFLIGHT_FORM), and create a table(table1). Click the table created just now, select the binding tab in the object tab, and in the Default Binding, select the SFLIGHT_NODE under the Z_SFLIGHT_FORM.
    Problem 1:
    Do you tell me whether is right for binding the context SFLIGHT_NODE using this way? If bind 3 context attributes in the sflight, how can I do it?
    5.     Create a WDA for abap (ZZ_02_SFLIGHT), and create a view(MAINVIEW) using transaction code "se80" in the sap-gui with adobe interactive form. Set the templatesource(Z_SFLIGHT_FORM) in the  adobe interactive form properties and saved, and then, datasource is "MAINVIEW_Z_SFLIGHT_FORM" automatically.
    6.     But I only found the attribute SFLIGHT_NODE under the context node(Z_SFLIGHT_NODE), and  I don't found the NODE ( SFLIGHT_NODE ) context in the context tab in the WDA for abap so that I don't set data to the context NODE (SFLIGHT_NODE).
    Problem 2:
    Do you tell me what can I do it so that I get the node SFLIGHT_NODE rather than attribute in the WDA for setting the data to the CONTEXT NODE (SFLIGHT_NODE)?
    Thanks a lot.
    Best regards,
    Tao

    Action:
    1. Create two view -
    first_view and second_view in the WDP ABAP..
    2. In the first_view, there are a input field( named "elements_number") and  a button(named "create_button") .
    3. In the second_view, there is Adobe Interactive form ( named "adobe_form" ).
    4. Run the WDP ABAP: first_view is opened. Type a number ex."3" in the "elements_number", click the "create_button".
    5. The second_view is opened.
    6. The "adobe_form" is occured.
    7. There are 3 text_fields in the "adobe_form".
    Steps (1) ~ (6), I have completed, but I don't know how to implement the step (7).
    Please give me some hint on this. I try to use the CL_WD_ADOBE_SERVICE, but I didn't found any examples.  Do you give me some ways to implement the function? Thanks a lot.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi Philippe,
    Thank you very much in advance.
    Do you tell me how to hide elements in the "adobe_form" in the WDP ABAP? How can I get the elements attributes in the "adobe_form" from the method WDDOMODIFY of the second_view  in the WDP ABAP.
    Please give me some hints on this. Do you give me some ways to implement functions( hide elements and  get elements's attributes)? Thanks a lot.
    Thank you very much.

  • How to reduce a PDF document that contains an Adobe XML form?

    Hi,
    I have created some fillable PDF files using Adobe LiveCycle Designer and used Adobe Acrobat Pro XI to save it as Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes form fill-in and save)…
    The form includes image, text field, check box, radio button, table and other controls, as well as java scripts behind. The files are from 1 to 3 MB in size. I tried Reduced Size PDF and Optimized PDF, but I got a message: “This PDF document contains an Adobe XML form. Such files cannot be optimized.”
    My questions are:
    Is there a way I can reduce the file greatly, say about 100 KB?
    And after the size reduced,  does it still keep the original quality in format and function?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    if you only use default fonts like Arial or Myriad don't embed fonts into the form at all.
    If you have to use a specific font because of corporate identity you should check if there are fields in your fom using other fonts like Arial.
    Especially floating fields are a reason for big files as they use Designers default font even if you'll never see it in the PDF.
    When using images, you should not check the "embed" checkbox, as this will save the images a base64-stream into the xml-source.
    If unchecked the images are stored as hex-stream in the PDF-stream which cause a smaller file size.
    Also, don't use high res images, 150dpi are far enough. You also don't need 16Bit depth as Designer only supports 8Bit images with RGB colors.

    Hi Siva,
    If you are developig your form using NWDS, make sure about the cardinality of the context parameter - data Source not 0..1 or 0..n.You may refer similar threads (of same kind of error) in this forum..
    Hope this helps. Assuming you have successfully tested, ADS and the credential file at the ABAP stack, by rurnning the respective ABAP reports.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anto.
