Adobe LC Designer-Developer ACE Exam - 9A0-081

Hi,
As per the information from prometric centres, the exam 9A0-081 ( Adobe LC designer ES -developer ACE) is no more available. However, as this is the version that i currently work on, i look forward to take up this examination. Could anyone please tell me if it is possible to take up this examination and the procedure involved.

timers" here have been requesting for a long time under Macromedia.
Happily, Adobe is gearing up some nice programs that I'm assuming
will be rolled out in the first part of next year.

I don't think it is still available. But the CF8 exam is available, and
the CF9 exam should be available soon.

Ideally you want to get hold of the ACE sample exam & study guides for the product versions you are testing for. It doesn't hurt to know previous versions but be keenly aware of the differences in menus, filters, etc...

Anyone at Adobe know when the Flex 2 ACE exam will be retired?

Now that Flex 3 is out, when will the Flex 2 ACE exam be
retired? I ask this because I do want to take the Flex 2 ACE exam,
and I want to ensure it is still offered when I am done studying
for it. Thanks.

I found out by the Adobe guy that coordinates certification
exam development that the Flex 2 exam should still be in service
for another 4 - 5 months. Not set in stone I guess, but that's what
he said.

Unable to open Adobe LifeCycle Designer in Netweaver Developer Studio

I was trying to work on SAP interactive forms by Adobe.
1.I have installed SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Version: 7.0.09
2.I have installed Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.0
3. I have Adobe Reader 7.0.
Now when I am editing the interactive form from NWDS, it says "Could not find the required product, Install SAP Interactive Forms - Adobe Live cycle designer to edit the Interactive Form"
Have I missed some additional settings after the installation? And is there anything to do with the versions?
Can any one suggest me how to resolve this issue ?

Can you tell us from where you have downloaded this Life Cycle Designer 8.0? Because there is Life Cycle for developing adobe forms and also one more is availalbe which we need to download from Service Market Place from SAP.

If u have installed NWDS, during the NWDS there is a checkbox to include Adobe LiveCycle Designer.However , NWDS 7 setup includes designer 6.0.
Case 1 : If u have not checked the above checkbox during NWDS installation.You can directly install any Designer version.
Case 2 : If u have checked the checkbox during NWDS installation , when u install designer 7 or 8 it will give a message saying A version of designer already exists,In the above scenario, you will have to either uninstall desginer 6(if possible) or reinstall NWDS without checking the Desinger Checkbox.After that you can install any designer version u want.

My question is targeted towards the InDesign ACE exam. I am based in the UK and experiencing difficulty gaining answers to some questions.

A) How much longer the CS6 exams will be available for?

How to call Adobe LiveCycle Designer From Developer Studio?

I am new to webdynpro.I am trying to create an Interactive form from Developer Studio but am not able call Adobe LiveCycle Designer tool.Even though I have installed Adobe LiveCycle ES,the system is prompting a message to install Adobe LiveCycle Designer.

You have to install and use the LiveCycle Designer provided by SAP, which you can download from service marketplace.

Passed Flex 2 ACE Exam - Whoo Hoo !!!

I took (and passed) the Flex 2 Adobe Certified Expert (ACE)
exam today.
Minimum score 73% and I got a 77%.
I studied pretty hard for this exam, though I was weak on
Flex Data Services. My strength in other areas saved me.

I thought the exam was tough! I had doubts I would pass, but

Studying for ACE Exam

Hello all,
I can't afford to take classes to prepare for the Adobe
RoboHelp ACE exam, and my company won't pay for classes either.
Therefore, what's the best way to study without taking courses?
Should I buy Siegel's RH 7 book? If I study everything here:

would that help me? I was also thinking of combing the online Help
for RH 7. Thoughts? Advice? Thanks in advance.

The best way IMHO is to simply play with RoboHelp. Be
familiar with all its nooks and crannies. The Siegel book *MAY*
help you but it wasn't designed to prepare for the exam. It was
designed to help a total noob learn RoboHelp enough to be
productive with it.

When will the ACE exam be updated for LR 2.0?

Just wondering if anyone has heard if / when the ACE exam for Lightroom will be updated to reflect the fact that we're on Version 2.0 of the software (well, 2.2 / 2.3 I guess). It seems to me that the summary page:

don't specifically refer to v2.0 and I don't *think* they've been updated recently. I have tried emailing Adobe support about this, but they have only said that "it depends on the higher authority and the web development team who takes decision amongst themselves about the schedule of the exam." I find it hard to believe that the web development team decide what goes into the LR ACE exam! However, I tried to seek clarification and was given the same answer once again.
I seem to remember reading that when a new version of a program is released, the ACE for the older version is only valid for another X months (possibly 6?), before you have to re-take the exam for the new version to remain ACE-qualified. Obviously I don't want to take the ACE exam for v1.0 (which I don't actually even have any more!) if they suddenly update it next week.

I have asked someone who should know and will wait for an answer then post back.

Hi guys,
i want to take the exam for Adobe Lightroom Expert in Lightroom 5 [not 4].i went to Pearson`s VUE page and i see that IS a Lightroom 5 exam [code:9A0-361 Lightroom 5 ACE Exam English ]
I also check at examaids and they also have a Lr5 ACE exam aid.So far so good BUT i ask ACE portal in facebook and they told me that the Lr5 exam is in beta version and is not officially released yet
I mail to ask examaids and they confirm the same think as ACE portal said : "..we are still waiting for the exam to be released. ..."
Can anyone have any experience about this? did you guys know when Lightroom 5 exam is officially released ?

Lily, I've been through this discussion several times over the years - of course I'm not naive and think the exam is the only thing that proves you are a good instructor. But it is the starting point. If someone is a poor instructor, there are checks and balances in place - ACIs are required to offer a survey after each class that is sent to Adobe to monitor in-class instruction quality.
According to the Adobe Training guidelines, ACEs are technically not qualified to teach. And before you fly off the handle, I know there are ACEs out there than CAN teach and would probably do very well to take the next step and get their ACI certs. However, many ACEs are tech support, users who wanted the cert for career goals, etc. Sure you can "memorize the help menu" but that is not the only resource for the exam. The exams have always been based on a lot of different aspects of the software and nowhere does it say that the Help menu is the only resource for materials. It doesn't make the exam any less valid.
I've been an ACI for the past 10 years in various softwares and have been involved in the Certified community in various capacities including authoring the most recent round of AI exams. The examples you give are not unique to Captivate and there will always be less than qualified "experts" but they are the minority. Being certified is one step to placing you above the others. Your reputation and feedback from clients/students helps as well.
My question is if you find the exams to be so pointless what would you do in lieu of the exams to prove that someone is certified in Adobe software? If there is no certification program, anyone could say they are an expert in something without recourse.

Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES closes when I open it...

Hello all, I want to thank you beforehand for the help regarding this matter. I use Windows Vista and my Adobe LiveCycle Designer was working before but for the last week and a half or so I have not been able to get it to work! I have done scandisk/defrag/and have multiple software to keep my computer clean so I have taken those precautions beforehand. To the problem...:
My Adobe LiveCycle Designer opens up and it was working previously as mentioned, but when I try to open it by either opening or converting a form or creating a new form with a template, I am not able to as it gives me an error message and closes! It gives me an error message of "Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES has stopped working" and a screenshot of this is provided at the following link:

I don't know what to do and wanted to see if I could solve this problem before I was forced to try to manually reinstall it so hopefully I don't have to go through that. I appreciate the help once again!

This may be a couple of known things; one is related to your specific installation (may have become corrupted if you did an upgrade from a previous version, especially if you upgraded from Beta?) Or, it may be related to a known SQL Server compatibility bug for which a hotfix will shortly be posted. (Problem with some Microsoft DLLs that get updated if you install SQL server).
If you have SQL Server installed, try looking on these forums for a patch that should be posted within the next 2 days. If not - please contact me directly, as I'd like to get someone on my development team to help look through your installation and see what the problem is, so we can fix this properly.
