Adobe LeanPrint prints special characters

LeanPrint prints special character strings some times for the whole document and some other times for some phrases (may be URLs).

Hello,
Could you please let us know if you were trying to print a non english document? Is it possible for you to share the document or relevant content with us for analysis?
I am assuming this was observed on Microsoft Word plug-in. Let me know if otherwise.
Thanks,
Adobe LeanPrint Team

  • Problem printing Special Characters in Smartform

    Hi,
I am developing a Smartform for Position Description. For that I have to display data from table HRT1002 as the data in this table is stored using Text Editor the data internally is stored in '#' when there is a enter, space or some special Characters. While displaying this data I have used class CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES -->HORIZONTAL_TAB to make '#' to it original value in my internal table.
After using the Class the data has been converted into the correct format, but while printing few special characters like ", ' , .. etc are been printed as # where as in my internal table they are not in # format.  How can I change the # to it original Character while printing.

  • PDF created in MS Word does not print special characters correctly

I am having a problem with converting an MS Word document to a PDF. This document contains the Ohm symbol and the greater than or equal to symbol. I am using Word 2007 and Acrobat X Pro.
I am simply using the insert symbol feature in Word to insert the symbols. They appear fine in Word. When I print to PDF the Ohm symbol turns into an '&' and the greater than or equal to symbol turns into an 'e'.
A fellow I work with who has the exact same computer and program setup as me does not have this issue.
What can I do to correct this?
    Thanks!
    Chris

I tried all of the print/press options and they all do the same thing.
I have always used the pdf maker button from the MS Word ribbon.
I just tried using the print dialog and selected Adobe PDF with the 'high quality print' option that I need to use and this time it worked! But it is not really fixed as I make a lot of PDFs every day and need the one-click functionality.
In the PDFs that work and PDFs where the character fails I tried editing the text and it says that the font is substituted. In MS Word i am using Arial, Acrobat is using some "ArialMT" font that I never heard of.
The embeded fonts are also listed as ArialMT.

    Hi,
I am using Data Report in my VB 6.0, Crystal Reprot ver 7.0. I want to display square root in the report. When I retrive data from sql database to display into report, I need to check the occurence of 'T' or 't' in a field and need to replace it with square root symbol in the report. How to make it in crystal designer (data reprot integrated in VB6).

In general, find the character you want within your fonts, then learn it's equivalent ASCII, then use a formula:
    if uppercase({table.field}) = "T" thenchr(63)else{table.field}
You can test what the ASCII code is using:
    ASC("u221A")
    -k

  • Char Set with Portuguese special characters

    Hi all,
it's kind of urgent. I need to create a new Output Device (SPAD transaction) with the device type ASCII. Until that, no problem, but I need this device type to allow printing special characters like Ç, ç, â, ä, º, ª, etc. Every special char is converted to "#" when I export the spool. I've tried to add the char sets 1153 and 1105 but it didn't work.
Does anyone know which Char Set I should add to my device type in order to print those characters correctly?
    Thanks in advance!
    Rodrigo.

    Hi all,
    the problem was solved.

  • PDF file will not print out Special Characters

I am currently a technician for a college and, and the customer that I am attending currently has the following Problem:
I am using Adobe PRO 9 to convert my Word files to pdfs for [a New York Printing Company].... The Greek letters used in Word are seen in Word, are seen in PDF, but do not come out in ...[the New York Printing Companies'] printing.
What could be the stubling block for the NY printing company to not be able to print out the Special Characters in the PDF files? I clearly cannot go to the company myself and tell them to change their printer settings or something like that.

Thank you, I have checked the font and I see all the fonts I need already installed. I am not sure if this will solve the problem, and there is a chance that the Adobe Acrobat settings on my customers PC need to be adjusted like you said.
At least I can start looking somewhere .

  • No recognition of special characters after upgrading to Adobe Reader X

    Hello all,
we  use a document-manager-software "Accantum" to scan and to archive PDFs.  After upgrading to Adobe Reader X no german special characters (e.g.  äöüß ...) are recognized by the document-manager.  All words with  special characters look fine on screen or printer, only the recognition  by the document-manager outputs either "%" or no character in the  destination-PDF-file. Scanning a version 9.x - PDF is still working  fine.
Please give me a little hint
    Thanks. Stephan

I don' think so, cause AR 9x -documents of the identical source are recognized absolutely correct and the error occurred exactly after upgrading to AR X (10.0.1).
Perhaps there is a way to look into the OCR-Text embedded in the PDF-file?
    Thanks
    Stephan
