Adobe lifecycle rights management credentials

what are adobe lifecycle rights management credentials? I need a user and password to view my online transscipt, but I am unable to do so

They're a user's login details for a LiveCycle RMS server - and would be issued by the server administrator to authorized users. If you don't have acces to the server, you cannot open the PDFs it protects.

  • I cannot open a book borrowed from the library on my kobo. It says, "this document is protected by Adobe Digital Rights Management licence which has expired. Please renew." How do I do this?

How do you renew Adobe Digital Rights Management licence?

You need "sysinternal's process explorer", it is free and can replace the Microsoft process explorer, that you get by "CTRL+ALT+DELETE". Either program will allow you to kill the instances of FF that didn't die as they should have, when you closed them. Sysinternal is easier to use, it is a graphic display with many options. Do not push "CTRL+ALT+DELETE" twice unless you want to reboot, that is its default behaviour under Microsoft.

  • Pls help on error on ereader "this document is protected by DRM ( adobe digital rights management ) and is not currently authorized for use with your adobe id

how do i solve this in order for the e reader to open the file?“this document is protected by DRM ( adobe digital rights management ) and is not currently authorized for use with your adobe id
    thnaks

This is something you will need to talk to the publisher of the document. They might have to do something to allow you to open the file. (If you changed Adobe ID since buying the file, for instance, they might have to allow for that).

  • How do I open book on iPad that has adobe digital rights management?..

How do I open a book on my iPad that is locked because it says that I need to open it by  using Adobe digital rights management.   I've downloaded the Adobe reader and it still won't work, help!

The Adobe Reader does not support opening these books. I believe that the "BlueFire Reader" does support this though.

  • Lifecycle Rights Management ES for CATIA

    Hello,
I would just like to confirm a few points considering CATIA and Microsoft Office documents.
Digital rights of native CATIA files cannot be controlled directly . They must be converted to pdf in order apply rights management. Thus, file distribution will only be done by pdf files.
Contrary to CATIA files, native Microsoft Word documents CAN be controlled from Office Applications (for example, the save command of Word can be restricted). This is functionally equivalent to Microsoft's Rights Management Service.
This may be already stated in the documents.
    Thanks in advance.

I think LiveCycle does support Catia file. Client (Catia) has to have extension for LiveCycle though.
I found this from my Google search:

    (Check Page 3, step 2.)

  • How do I setup security policies without Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management?

    Hi Guys,
First of all I  want to excuse for my english language skills . We have about 30 Users which are using Adobe Acrobat XI Standard. Our management board defined security policies for PDF files. We exported the security policies  (Edit -> Preferences -> Security -> Security Settings -> Export). Then we got a file with the extension 'acrobatsecuritysettings'. Next we moved that file to a folder which everybody has read permissions. We ticked at a test computer "load security settings from a server" and type in the path to the file in this way:
    smb://server/share/filename.acrobatsecuritysettings
I guess the syntax is correct but there are no security policies at 'Tools -> Protection -> Encrypt -> Manage Security Policies'. Any ideas?
I am very thankful for each reply.

Interesting. Adobe obviously feel that smb is a URL - sorry, no idea what form their URL would take. You could double check that it is accessible with no username or password (i.e. guest access) since you have put no credentials in the URL.
For the intranet (htp) server - you could put it anywhere within the files making up the site. For instance you could create a folder private inside the web root, and put the file in there. You can type the URL in a browser to make sure it serves the credential file.

  • Adobe Livecycle Rights Management iPad

My library offers magazines as pdf. On the Mac, I can open them fine in Adobe Reader. However on the iPad I receive the following message:
With system language set to English: "access to this document ist restricted by this remote server however we are unable to connect to it at this time"
With system language set to German: "der zugriff auf dieses dokument ist durch diesen remote-server eingeschränkt derzeit kann jedoch keine serververbindung hergestellt werden"

I have the same problem with the Adobe Reader X v10.1.1 on Android.
DRM protected documents based on the Adobe ID work (I guess).
DRM protected documents based on the Adobe Policy Server obviously do not work.
On the PC there is no problem with the same reader version.
    Who can help?

  • Adobe digital rights management???

I need help with his in order to open my books from Kobo to read...

I believe that the BlueFire Reader supports Adobe DRM, though I am not sure. I do know that our Adobe PDF Reader does NOT support this.

  • Adobe Reader for iOS and Android & Rights Management

This week's release of Reader for iOS and Android devices incorporates support for accessing files secured by Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management.
As you are probably familiar, LiveCycle Rights Management protects sensitive documents by encrypting them with industry-standard AES encryption and enabling central management of their access permissions. Protections persist even when documents are accidentally distributed via email, the cloud, or saved on a lost mobile device.
Many of the core capabilities that you are used to on the desktop versions of Acrobat and Reader are now supported when you are on the go on your tablet or mobile phone. We intend to incorporate additional functionality in future releases of these mobile devices and look forward to your feedback.
We've had several questions thus far about how this works. More information about the product, as well as a link to an FAQ can be found at:http://blogs.adobe.com/security/2011/10/just-released-adobe-reader-10- 1-for-ios-and-android.html
    Jonathan

    Hello Jonathan,
is there an way to trigger iOS download to immediately open using "Adobe Reader"
instead of using the default Previewer (showing an plain empty white window) and then re-open it using "Open with" ?
Is there an MIME-Type to indicate IRM-protected PDF-files?
    Thanks,
