Adobe Lightroom 4 Student Edition?

I just bought Lightroom 4 student edition and have it installed on my home computer. However, I am buying a new computer this year and was wondering if the application will allow me to uninstall on my home computer and reinstall on my new one?

One other clarification, the "Student Edition" is exactly the same software install package as the "Regular Edition" you have just been able to obtain a special price for your License Key.
From here on you can just update and upgrade just like everyone else.

I have downloaded Lightroom 4 student edition today and last year I downloaded Photoshop student edition. I am thinking of moving from a Windows computer to a Mac computer and would like to know how I move these programs to the new computer? Is this possible or do I have to purchase again? If you took the time to register Lightroom with Adobe then you can log into your Adobe account and get your serial number from there. If you still have the old computer with Lightroom installed on it the serial number can be retrieved from C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Lightroom. Open the lrreg file using Notepad and you can read the number. Note that the ProgramData folder is a hidden folder. It will be necessary for you to change so that your system browser will show hidden folders. If you are on a Mac the path is /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom.

You can buy the commercial upgrades for CS6 and LR5. LR4 is no longer available.

Do you have a License key? 24 digit numerical? If yes uninstall to existing version of Lightroom using your operating system procedure, this will not interfere with your catalog, preferences and personal files.
Download the appropriate version for your operating system from this site. Product updates proceed to install and enter your License key.
If you have a Adobe Creative Cloud subscription then you may need to uninstall the existing version the reboot and open the Adobe Creative Cloud Application Manager, login to your account and Lightroom CC should be available to install. The application will be automatically activated.

Adobe Lightroom 4 Student Teacher edition

I recently purchased Lightroom 4 and have used it successfully on my laptop. I go to college online and had to replace my laptop because it was unreliable and would restart without telling me (this is horribly bad if I'm in the middle of an exam!) So I replaced it with a newer laptop. The new generation of laptops are exactly including disc drives because the new thing is to be a thin laptop! I want to transfer my Lightroom 4 to my new laptop by doing it as an online download. I've already purchased it and don't want to pay again. Please help?

I am in Australia so it is not possible to buy it off Amazon.

Lightroom 5 Student Edition Questions

I am university student working on my Graduate degree. I also am a photographer and am looking at purchasing Lightroom 5. I am curious to whether there are any differences between the Full version and the Student version (other than price). If I were to purchase the Student addition will I be limited to how long I will be able to use it? In other words, will the Student edition expire after a certain period of time? Also, is the Student edition eligible for upgrades?

All the Adobe sellers say there is no Student Edition in Thailand and I should go for Creative Cloud..

I am a student at Full Sail University, and they have generously provided me with the whole Adobe Master Suite CS5. Up until recently, my laptop went haywire and deleted everything I have on my laptop. I went to my account on adobe, and it shows the serial number to the product the school gave me. What I'm trying to say is if there is any way that I can download CS5 Student Edition to my laptop? On a side note, I have lost the CD's that my school sent.

Yes. The student edition is the exact same program, just different licensing and pricing. And having purchased the student edition qualifies you to purchase any subsequent upgrade.

Another adobe creative suite student edition question

i recently bought adobe creative suite 4 design premium at the apple education store for 419 dollars (before i realized it was cheaper from adobe). i looked at adobe.com and it says the "student edition" can be used commercially.
my question is: nowhere on the apple store does it say this is the student edition. The packaging says, "for educational individual use only," and was a shrinkwrapped case. i still had to submit my school id for verification for my serial number. i called adobe customer support as well as the apple store and neither seemed to know what i was talking about. is there any way to know whether my edition is the student edition and able to be used for commercial use?

I have spend countless hours waiting for an Adobe Cust Svc Rep to answer my call, (should have reached out sooner) trying to find out if you can use either version for education and commercial use, by either I mean any of the CS4 suites education or academic, (I believe the education version is the $399 one and the academic is the $599 -- it couldn't be any more confusing than it is) -- I was wondering if the statement you made is still correct today (things change so quickly). I have to agree with brat3738699 ... very disappointed to not have a student/teacher version of LR6. I've owned PS products for many years. But this is it for me. Some rely on educational discounts to manage. The contracted product I would have possibly considered is the photography cc plan, however, even though the website states there is a student plan, the price is the same. So, what's the point?But beyond that, very disappointing to be taking away so many options for everyone and essentially forcing these subscriptions on us with so many limitations if you ever need/want to cancel.Why not let us keep the latest fully operational version when/if we cancel? If so, I'd sign up today. But there's no way I'm getting stuck in CC and then have wasted all that money for however many years and not even exit CC with one fully functional copy of the software.
