Adobe livecycle ES installation problem

Hi All,
I'm facing a problem in the Adobe livecycleES installation.
I have installed Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and proceeded to install livecycle ES 8.2.1. My installation is frozen after I select turn key installation. Waited for 1 hour, but does not move further.
Need Urgent help on this.

I had the same problem myself last week. One suggestion that I found for this problem was that the InstallShield database may be corrupt. The solution in that case was to rename or delete the following folder and then reboot the machine:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Universal\Adobe
This is suppossed to force InstallShield to recreate that directory structure. This did not work in my case, but it may work for you.
In my particular case, the problem appeared to be tied to the location of the installation files. I had placed them under "My Documents", so they were being run from "C:\Documents and Settings\kate.sherwood\My Documents". Once I moved the install set to the root of C:\ then the installation was able to continue as expected.

LiveCycle does not have separate 64-bit and 32-bit versions. However, you need to use the 64-bit version of IBM WebSphere AS which comes with the 64-bit version of IBM's J9 JDK.

Adobe Reader XI Installation Problem

I just performed a fresh reload of Windows XP SP3 on one of my computers. After downloading and running the installer for Adobe Reader XI I get the following error pop up:

Again I am running Windows XP SP3 with all the patches applied, JRE 7u10 (set as the default for both IE and Firefox), and scripting is enabled in Internet Explorer. I get the exact same error when trying to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player as well, however, Adobe Shockwave installed just fine.
I am new to this forum, so forgive me if this problem has been posted before. I did not find anything similar in a search. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Adobe LiveCycle Designer Installation

Hi,
I have installed Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.1 for interactive forms. But when I try to edit the Interactive form I am getting the following message.
Could not retrieve product:
Install SAP Interactive Forms -Adobe LiveCycle Designer
to edit the interactive form.
I reffered to SAP Note 962763 to install it.
I also tried with installing adobe livecycle designer 6.0.
But I am getting the same problem.
Do we need to configure anything?
Any information in this regard will be greatly helpful.

Uninstall and do reboot and install it again. Once you installed the Adobe Live Cycle Component, you need to configure the J2EE server.
1) Put credential file in
usr\sap\J2E\SYS\global\AdobeDocumentServices\TrustManagerService\trust\credentials directory.
2) Go to visual Administrator
     I. Go to Cluster -> services -> Document services Configuration
         put Alias name
         browse your creditial file
         put password and confirm password
     II.
        Cluster -> services -> web service security -> tc~....webdynpro.adsproxy.AdsProxy/ConfigPort_Document
        Change Connection Settings URL http://<your_host>:<port> rest remains unchanged and save it.
3) Go to UME, reset ADSUser password.

Adobe Premium Suite installation problem....

Hello,
First I am new to this forum.
The problem.....
Last night I was installing my adobe suite and a problem occured. At 46% installation disk 1 the installation got hung up. It looks like adobe media player was being installed at that point. I waited at least 10 minutes to see if it would continue and it did not. I restarted the install and deselected adobe media player and the installation went through ok. Could there be a problem with the disk? Should I ask adobe for a replacement disk?

Unlikely. It's more likely you had/ have a newer version of Adobe AIR/ AMP already on your system, causing an installer failure because it cannnot overwrite the files...

I never had adobe AIR/AMP installed before so could it really be the problem?
What about this idea.....if i download the entire Design suite and reinstall using the download instaed of the disks
but use my serial number then will it work properly? what do you think?

First, I would use the latest version of Reader XI. But you need to empty your temp folder. You can have a temp folder off the C: drive and you can have a temp folder in your Personal Settings Folder.

Adobe Auditon 3 installation problems

Hi
I'm having trouble re-installing Adobe Audition 3.
I've been using Audition 3 for about 3 years with no problems. In the last few weeks it has started to do some unusual things eg asking if I want to open the wav file as 44100 and 16 bit etc. It didn't used to do that.
I therefore decided to uninstall and reinstall my Adobe as maybe it's become corrupted. That should be straightforward, but
1. my Serial Number is apparently no longer valid.
2. I've been directed to adobe.com/go/installation and I can't find the options for Audition 3.
The reason I decided to uninstall and reinstall Audition 3 is because today I've opened a wav file which is speech, and the 2 voices sound very deep.
Unfortunately, I can't find on adobe.com how to reinstall my Audition 3.
Please can you help?

Adobe cs4 (trial) Installation problem to WinXP sp3

I tried to download and install CS4 (trial) with akamai download manager. When I go to CS4 folder, I try to run the setup but i get the error "The Adobe Setup encounter a problem and must be terminated" I tried to open the setup.exe from the zip folder, it run's to the end and then the same error comes up again. I deactivated my firewall but again I can't install CS4. I contacted the technical support but they didn't help me. I get the following error data which I prompted to send to Microsoft. " AppName:setup.exe,AppVer:2.0.133.0, ModName:msvcr80.dll, ModName:8.0.50727.4053, Offset:000149d1. Where is the problem? Can anyone help me?

I am also currently experiencing this problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
How are we supposed to try adobe products if they wont even install for us?

Adobe Livecycle Express login problem.

I registered for the prerelease program, got the confirmation e-mail, clicked the link to Activate my account.
I can log in and follow the link for LiveCycle ES2.5 Prerelease, but I get an Authentication Failed error when I try to log into Adobe LiveCycle Express. https://livecycle.express.adobe.com/
Has anybody else been able to log in here?

If you haven't used LiveCycle Express before it takes about a day to activate that account. Can you send me your adobe ID (the one you use for Acrobat.com) and I'll see if I can accelerate it.
Also - if you have questions pertaining to LC ES2.5 prerelease questions, I encourage you to post them to the prerelease forums (after login to prerelease.adobe.com).

Task selection disabled in Adobe Livecycle ES2 installation

While running the configuration manager for Adobe Livecycle ES2 in the task selection screen few option are disabled why its disable/how to enable it?
I have installed weblogic and made the configuraions but i havnot deployed the EAR's .

Those options are not applicable if you choose to install to JBoss manually.
Please note that LiveCycle has separate install binaries for each of the three apservers it supports and separately for Windows and Unix. So at the trial download site (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/trial/), you will see options such as:
- JBoss Unix
- JBoss Windows
- WebLogic Unix
- WebLogic Windows
Please make sure you have the right binaries.

Adobe creative cloud installer problems.

I have tried to install Adobe creative cloud and what would happen is that the installer bar would'nt go very far and would just randomly shut down. I dont know why this is, is there anyway I can fix this problem?

Adobe LiveCycle Designer Samples - problem

Hello,
i've just downloaded the DataImportExport.zip from

and i have one question.
Why i am unable to run first example: "Export Data: User to specify the file name" ?
Does anyone have the same problem ? I have Reader 7.0.5.
Also the third example works.

Adobe InDesign CS3 Installation Problem...Over One Year and Counting

Well, it's been over a year since I purchased the Pagemaker to InDesign upgrade. I've tried at lease 15 times to load the software with the same "shared components failed to install" errors.
I've tried the Web for answers, the Clean-up utility and even called the tech support line. The answer (after waiting at least an hour on the phone) was to back up all of my files (on my time, not theirs) and run the scrub utility with the "undocumented" option 4...but watch out...
As a user of Pagemaker for nearly 15 years, I can't believe that Adobe (formerly Aldus) would release a product that cannot be used. I spent a bit over $200 for the upgrade...they got my money...I got a DVD of software that cannot be installed successfully.
As a customer for over 3 versions of the Pagemaker software, I find it a bit odd that I would have to spend hours on my computer trying to get Adobe software to install properly.
Is it just me, or have others given up on this?

And so what happened? I think Adobe is the first place you should go
with installation issues, and you should (and they should too) persist
until you get past the problem.
Tech support is a PITA. They make you do things you don't want to do
(like back up all your files on your own time); they make you jump
through silly hoops and crawl under the desk pulling parts out of your
computer; but they also have an obligation to get it working on your
computer, whatever it takes.
Call them back. Get a number. Keep track of who you talk to. Ask them to
bump you up to the next level. Keep trying.

Adobe CS4 Re-Installation problem

A few years ago I bought Adobe Creative Suite CS4 for use in my college courses as an art major. However Photoshop had been recently crashing with strange frequency, disrupting my flow of work enough to prompt me to save it as frequently as every 5 minutes or so. As this was greatly hampering my work, i decided to attempt to reinstall Photoshop to see if the problem would persist once it was reinstalled.
Unfortunately I've not recieved the chance to test this theory.
In the process of re-installing, the adobe CD constantly stops when installing adobe air. You can hear the cd running with every element being installed, but once it reaches adobe air, it runs... then stops. It wont continue installing anything else.
I have re-installed Adobe Air, uninstalled Adobe Air, and left the installation "running" for several hours to no visible effect. Whats worse is that the program technically is running because when i force-quit it (the cancel button doesnt seem to work either) its not seen as 'not responding'.
Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated, as digital art is the kind with which i am most comfortable with.
