Adobe LiveCycle webservice button not invoking webservice

Hi all,
I am using Adobe Livecycle ES2.I was trying to invoke a webservice of my company for development purpose.I imported the wsdl file into the layout as new connection.I dragged and dropped the button and the request fields to the layout. But in the preview and in the saved pdf file i am not able to invoke the webservice when I click on the button.I tried the with different webservices both from wsdl file and also http location of some online webservices. It used to work fine for me in version 8 of adobe livecycle. Now i am unable to invoke any webservices at all .some please tell me if any settings needs to be enabled in the newer version so that button will invoke a webservice call.
Thanks & Regards,
Bince Mathew

Hi BR001,
Thanks a lot for your help that i came to know its related to reader extensions. But now according to the post you shared i created a new pdf from acrobat pro in save as->Reader Extended PDF->Enable Additional Features. But still its not calling the webservice on pressing the button when i open it in reader.I can confirm this cos my webservice is in my company backbone and when i tested it in acrobat reader i was not connected to my company vpn.so every time when i press that button it will show me a pop up message stating that it cannot read from my webservice when it tries to call the service. But the same message is not popping up in adobe reader.
1) In acrobat Reader pro
2)Acrobat Reader
Thanks in advance,
Bince Mathew

  • Adobe edge animation button not working in muse

Ok so I went and created a button in adobe Edge that when clicked scrolls your browser to the top of the page since I couldn't create what I was looking to do in muse( I can create anchors to bring me to the top of the page but I dont like that i have to relink the button for each page and that clicking on the button acts as a page change so when you click the back button it brings you back down to the bottom of the page vs the previouse page). Anyways the button works perfectly fine when previewing it in adobe Edge but when I bring it into Muse and try to use it the function to bring you to the top of the page stops working, the mouse states still work though so it doesn't seem to be completly broken. Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong or what I can do to fix this?

I just tried to host it to a temp businesscatalyst site and the .oam file isn't even showing up on the temorary page. Getting more and more confused.

  • Adobe Muse - "Publish" Button Not Working

I am trying to upload a website from Adobe Muse to Business Catalyst. Whenever I click "Publish" the window pops up and just says "Signing in to adobe business catalyst..." and never actually advances past that. It just keeps loading, and never gives me the chance to actually publish my site. I've waited and waited, trying several times, hoping it would eventually work, and it never does. What can be done about this? I need to this to work, as the website needs to be published very soon, Any help would be appreciated!

The Internet Options set in Internet Explorer in some cases (like this one) control the settings for all applications on your computer, regardless of whether or not you've selected IE as your default browser.
The symptoms you describe sound like something is interferring with Muse contacting the BC servers. My first idea was related to the fact BC increased the minimum security level supported a few months back, thus my question about what levels of SSL/TLS you have enabled. Your settings are fine.
Assuming you can visit your site in the browser without any problem and can login as admin to your site (add "/admin" to the URL for your site to login to BC directly in the browser) that would make it unlikely there's a corporate/enterprise-level firewall or proxy server interferring. Though if Publish works from your home network and not from work, that would point back to a corporate firewall or proxy issue.
Do you have Norton or other anti-virus/anti-malware software installed that may be configured to prevent applications other than your browser from accessing the internet?

  • Adobe LiveCycle Designer query data from MII 12.0 via Webservice

    Hi folks,
at the moment I'm "learning" how to create interactive forms with the Adobe LiveCycle Designer. I hope anyone already did something like that too and can help me a bit?!
Creating forms with XML data in the background etc. is not that problem. Also using little schemas to provide data to a dropdown list - I fand that no trouble. But now I want to request some dynamic data from an external data provider.
I have a nice book from SAP Press laying next to me that tells me how to create a webservice based on a BAPI in SAP and how that webservice delivers some table data. But before I try to get data out of SAP, I would like to retrieve data by using MII (12.0 at first). I already built a transaction that creates some XML and imported the WSDLGen as a new data connection in Adobe LC Designer. No problem so far. I can execute it and I get some data back. But the XML that comes back is not formatted as table data as expected from Adobe LC so I can't build a table from it. I only receive the first dataset - every value as a single value, not as a table or row.
So does anyone know how to format the XML result in MII or how to combine it with a schema so that Adobe LC Designer is able to interprete it as table data? In the SAP example in the book the received data from the data connection of the webservice is shown as table data (a litte table icon) and my data from MII is shown as single values...
    Thanks
    Anika

It sounds like you need use the adobe schema in MII so the output of your transaction matches it.

  • ADOBE LiveCycle Designer 8 - EMAIL SUBMIT BUTTON DOES NOT WORK

I created a new form in Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8, but the email submit button, nor a regular button assigned with a 'submit' function will do anything. It should initiate a new Outlook email but it does not. My default programs are set correctly (default email program and the default "mailto" program are set to Outlook). This document was created not only with ALC8, but on a Windows Vista PC with MS Office 2007. I ran a test to see if it would work on a WinXP SP2 machine with Office 2003 and it still did not work.
    Can anyone help?

    Alan
Though not an expert, I've created a few forms with the Submit by Email button. If you've already done this then sorry for asking, but did you go through the Acrobat Distribution (Forms>Distribute Forms)process after creating the form in LC8? As far as I can tell the email submit button doesn't work without this stage.
This confirms the email submission address, then sets up a dataset to be saved in a location of your choice.
    filename_dataset_0001.pdf
then a file type that can be edited, saved and submitted by Reader users:
    filename_pub_0001.pdf
You can save this to your intranet server or email direct to the recipient.
When the submit button is then used you receive a copy of the whole form which on opening will prompt you to add it to the dataset. Receiving and adding multiple forms to the data set is straightforward. You will see them all listed in the viewer above the form itself. From here you can also then select and export the data to Excel via xml or as a csv file.
Note that any changes you make to the form should be to the original document and the distribution process repeated, otherwise the functionality of the form will be affected.
That's about the limit of my knowledge I'm afraid, therefore if you have already tried this and are still having problems then hopefully someone else can help out.

  • Is it possible to invoke external REST web service hosted in WebLogic web application from an Adobe LiveCycle Process (ES-4)

Is it possible to invoke an external REST web-service hosted in WebLogic web application from an Adobe LiveCycle Process (ES-4) with parameters as input and manipulating the response depending on the type of parameters it gets back. Then invoking an Adobe Form and prepopulating the Form based on the response parameters? Do you have sample projects that do this invocation. The part highlighted in red is what I need examples.

You can simply use "Execute Script" operation in Workbench and make use of java.net.URL. Below links should help :

  • Submit button on Adobe Interactive form does not send data back to ABAP

The integration of my ABAP View and Adobe works fine getting data into the form. The form is interactive and I am able to change the data. I am using ZCI and the XML Context. I display the FirstName attribute both on the ABAP View, and the Adobe Form. When I press the SUBMIT button the first time, it disables that button, but the ABAP View is not updated. I have an ONACTION event, but it doesn't get triggered at all.
    Here are my specs:
    Adobe Reader 8.1.1. Local
    Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8.01.3250.1.491864
    NetWeaver 7.0 SP19
HR Support Pack 48 and Enhancement Pack 2

    Hi all,
I assume the ZCI script included in the form (800.20070410093956.383622.376748 ) is too old (I guess it's from SP13 or14).
In general, I propose the following to analyze/fix these kind of problems (Web Dynpro ABAP only):
    1. Check the tracefile (available from SAP NetWeaver 700 SP19): Add "&sap-wd-clientDebug=X" to the application URL and open the trace by typing <CTRL><ALT><SHIFT>T (see note 999998 too):
-> Watch for an entry "Got a message from Adobe Reader: zciReady 1: 2: 3:". If this line doesn't appear => ZCI script too old, go on with step 2
-> Watch for an entry "Got a message from Adobe Reader: zciVersion 1: 800....". That's the version of the ZCI script included in the form
-> Watch for entries containing "sendDataToServer" and "responseFromServer": If you can't find these entries, something went wrong transferring the form data to the ABAP server: Watch out for entries containing "Error", there might be a network problem.
    2. Execute report FP_PDF_TEST_00 to find out the used ADS version: The corresponding ADS version of SP19 is 800.20090130093518.519793 or 800.20090608122643.560369 (look at the second part of the version string. It's a timestamp: The ZCI script included in the form is from April 2007, the ADS version of SP19 is from January/June 2009!
-> Update the ADS or patch the ADS (see notes 999998, 1229392 and 956074)
    3. optional step: Have a look at note 999998, section "related notes" (this is the complete list of available notes for Web Dynpro ABAP Interactive Forms integration): Install all notes available for your release/SP - or even better: Update SAP NetWeaver (SAP_BASIS) to the latest available SP
    4. Update the ZCI script of the form using transaction SFP_ZCI_UPDATE
    5. Repeat step 1, I'm pretty sure that it will work now!
    Regards,
    Ralf

  • "Submit" button in Adobe Interactive form does not trigred.

    Dear all
I am working with interactive form and i am using *click event with formcalc. When I click these button nothing seem to happen.
    i tried with javascript also.
    Event has following code.
// DO NOT MODIFY THE CODE BEYOND THIS POINT - 710.20060821084622.325745.280724 - SubmitToSAP.xfo
                          ContainerFoundation_JS.SendMessageToContainer(event.target, "submit", "", "", "", "");
// END OF DO NOT MODIFY
I am using  the following versions:
    Adobe livecycle 7.1
    Adobe reader 9
    SAP: EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01
    Interactive form properties:
    DiplayType: Native
    Enabled: True
    Form layout:ZCI
    Interface: XML
Submit button used from Web Dynpro Native.
Can someone please help me resolve this issue as it is very criticial for me.
    Many thanks,
    Ravikumar.

    Hi Ravikumar,
Your ABAP backend is of version NW7.01, but your ZCI script version is 710.20060821084622.325745.280724.
This is a very old ZCI script, delivered with NW 7.00 SP11 or SP12.
I assume that your ADS is still running on a NW7.00 system (JAVA stack!)
You have to update the ADS and you have to update the ZCI script of your form. See SAP note 999998, search for "The Web Dynpro application hangs during submit". There's a detailed explanation + solution description.

  • Adobe LiveCycle Form Not Saving Data

I have designed dozens of Adobe LiveCycle forms and have extended rights (enable usage rights in adobe reader).  My problem is that sometimes the form is not saving the data for end users.  One of my end users even updated Adobe Reader, but still nothing is working and he is becoming increasingly frustrated.  Any other suggestions.

Make sure all your fields have a binding set even if it is just their name.
For instance, click on a field that isn't saving, in the Object palette, under the Binding tab make sure the Data Binding is set to Use Name.
    Hope that helps.

  • Not able to decode barcode in adobe livecycle ES2

Hi, I have configured a Live cycle barcode form service to decode a barcode from TIFF file. It will decode the result in TEXT file. The Version used is Adobe LiveCycle 9.0. I am getting some Tiff files through fax channel. But my barcode decoder service is not able to decode the barcode. The barcode are in PDF 417 format. The same barcodes are getting decoded through BarcodedForms 7.5 ST. Please help so that we can decode the same using Adobe LC 9.0.

Abhi, when you were using the Barcoded Forms 7.5 ST decoder, were you using a version with a USB key plugged in?
In this older business model the barcodes on the form were encrypted as a licensing mechanism but could be decoded with the right version of the decoder. If this is the case then you will need to re-extend your forms with a new Reader Extensions certificate to ensure they are no longer encrypted. The new decoder can not decode these encrypted barcodes.
    Lee.
