Adobe Manager is a Nightmare!

Hi, I hope sombody can help? Firstly, I've already spent two days of my 'Creative Cloud' subcription period exchanging texts with Adobe's 'co called' tech help (presumably in India) to no avail. Three times, I let their tech Guy attempt to resolve the problem by logging into my Mac Pro 10.8.2 ( a week old). Three times, sorry, two times, they assured me, their tinkering had fixed the problem. The third,Tech Gu, just signed off, disapeared. ...So little hope do I have from that arm of Adobe.
I explain the above just so you have the full extent of my exasperation.
Basically, I installed Adobe's Creative Cloud's Application Manager three days ago. It worked perfectly for the first six or so applications, even doing a nice update at one point.
But the next time I attempted to install another app, it failed. And failed on every attempt of any other app.
The Manager itself, now displays "Install" across from every app, even those I successfully installed during the initial period. Frustration is not the word!
Please can someone help, or tell me how to get this piece of junk off my computer and start again maybe?

Finally!
Well, after spending eleven hours or more downloading the CS6 suite, instructed by the Adobe's 'Tech' people to do so, and with their assurance " this will work this time." It didn't!
So with my last throw of the dice, I did a clean install to get off everything off and start again with a factory clean Mac. Fortunately, because the computer was new this was a option without a great deal of fuss.
All seemed good at 1am this morning with the final Adobe software installed, and even the download manager seemed in good shape to do further updates.
So we will see...

Please download/Install CC desktop on your machine. Launch Indesign CS6 and try to activate.

When I try to resume adobe manager reader download I get an add-on error

my computer is a Windows Vista (64 Bit) Sp1
It already had adobe reader 9 installed, but I decided to install Adobe Reader 9.1.
I don't know if it's the same version so this is what happened.
I downloaded adobe reader 9.1 and then I paused it and turn off the computer. The next day I tried to resume the Adobe Reader 9.1 with the adobe reader manager that was in my desktop, but I got an error message saying an add-on was being used and it had to close. Everytime I resume it always closes. I tried deleting the add-on ( get_atlcom Class, which is the add-on you have to download in order to get adobe reader 9.1) and installing it again, but the same Adobe Manager page that pops up with the add-on error comes on my screen.

Or can I just simply remove(uninstall) adobe reader 9 and try to install it again?

If I were you, I would remove everything related with Reader by the method Pat Willener describes in the "can't install adobe reader" thread, and then download the version you want from the fpt site given by ~graffiti in the "Trying to download Adobe Reader but can't"...

We use CS6, yes we calibrate using x-rite. I have always had adobe manage colors when printing. This problem just occurred, all my settings are the same as they have been for years. The only thing we did lately is do an update to CS6. We thought it might be our printer but when we use the printer manages color it works fine, The problem with adobe manages color is it is not blending the light highlights like on top of the cheeks with the colors around the cheeks and its putting a faint red between the two it just does not have a smooth transition. I printed a photo that I had printed 4 months ago with no issue, and this time it had the issue that I am dealing with now. Somehow the photo shop manages color is not getting the right info to my printer.

Why does Adobe Manager download and install 2 of the same programs?

Am I suppose to get more than one icon for each app? I have a (64bit) and it appears a 32bit both install when I download with Adobe Manager.
I have a fresh install of windows 8. -- probably the issue -- an upgrade from win7. I completely uninstalled all apps, did a fresh install of my upgrade, and kept no files, or settings. It however, did keep somethings with the new window.
Looking in my program list, I have the same program listed in (program files), and in ((86program files)), there is the 64bit program.
It seriously looks like I am downloading and insalling two seperate versions.... why?
I do have another desktop computer, which is older, and running window xp, and it is a 32bit system.
The main cpu I am using is a Dell.... (maybe that's the problem) laptop, Inspiron 1545

For which application are you seeing two versions?
Photoshop installs both 32 and 64 bit versions on a 64-bit system when installing from the Adobe Application Manager using the Creative Cloud subscription.

I can't update my after effects and my adobe manager isn't working either

tried updating my adobe manager, and it isn't working. neither is the updates for after effects and encoder.

None of my CS6 apps will update now that I am using CC and the newest Adobe Manager

I had been using CS6 Master Suite for months then decided that I'd like to use the CC for which I purchased a membership. I have successfully downloaded, installed and ran several of the CC apps. I have the new CC Adobe Manager in place and have been notified that there are updates for both CC and CS6 apps. I have been able to update all CC apps but none of the CS6 apps are updating and giving me an error message: "Errors encountered during installation. (U44M1P7) More details.". I click on more details and am provided a finder window "Installers" and many "...log.gz" files. At that point I am unable to go any further for lack of knowledge. Can anyone here help?

Adobe manager will not install CS6

adobe Manager not on this machine. Only the Cloud.
Cloud lists CC apps-not CS6
I am a CS6 subscriber. This is different machine then the one I have been using to connect to CS6. The machine with CS6 died

I talked with support, go download the adobe cleaner and it will allow you to see what files from PS CS6 are still on your system and get them off. I am trying now, will let u know if it works.

Why does Adobe Manager crash when I create to download programs from the creative cloud?

I just signed on to Adobe Creative Cloud and trying to download apps to my desktop and Adobe Manager crashed everytime. I am running on OSX 10.9.4. Any suggestions?

I would click the download button from the apps page. The Adobe Apps Manager would launch then crash. I didn't know what else to do, so I noticed I didn't have the latest Adobe App Manager.
After I updated my AAM, the download worked fine. Thanks you for looking into it.

How to launch Photoshop from Adobe manager

Photoshop CS6 is shown as installed in Adobe manager, but there is no launch button to open the program. I click on Photoshop CS6, but nothing happens.

Check your start menu/ Applications folder liek for any other program.

Trying to re-install/update Adobe Manager to download Adobe Illustrator

Trying to download the free trial of Illustrator. When I click to download it, a tab on my laptop comes up as Adobe manager is missing or damaged and please re-install. I download and click to install but then says there is a fault. (I have a macbook pro retina display)

Missing icons after running Adobe Manager

After running Adobe Manager, the icons pinnned to the task bar for Mozilla Firefox and SAS JMP were lost. They no longer appear in the programs list either. How do I get them back? I am running Windows 7.

Have you tried locating the applications on your hard drive and then repinning them to your Taskbar?

I believe you are only trying to install the fresh version of Creative Cloud Desktop application ? If yes, please navigate to the following location and perform the steps as mentioned .
For Windows
1) Navigate to : C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
2) Rename this folder to OOBE_old and try the installation of the Creative Cloud Desktop Application.
For Mac
1) Navigate to : /library/application support/Adobe/OOBE
2)Rename this folder to OOBE_old and try the installation of the Creative Cloud Desktop Application.
