Adobe Maximus with Quadro K5000 and Tesla C2075

Hi there,
i have a Nvidia Quadro K5000 installed in my 3D workstation and wanted to extend the existing configuration with a Tesla Card from Nvidia.
Because i have a Tesla C2075 in my other workstation i was thinking to combine both cards in my 3D workstation as a Maximus setup.
Is it possible to drive the configuration with both cards? Or do i need to have a Tesla K20?

Using High-end Windows 8.1 system with Quadro Card and CC2014 fails on many levels. Help!!

I produce TV spots daily and and I can not afford so many failures. CC2014 is the worst experience for us and we have several systems that prove it's not our hardware.
-Crashes repeatedly (and most times can not be replicated)
-Freezes when queuing to media encoder
-Rendered media has variable results and sometimes has no audio (or the audio is partially there). Have to reboot to correct.

-Just found out that the audio filter DeNoiser does not render out entirely, you can hear mid way the clip when it kicks in
I originally paid for my monthly subscription because CC first came out as an improvement to earlier version, and was very stable. Now I'm wonder why I'm wasting my money. Don't get me wrong, I like where adobe is heading but they need to address the problem or offer a discount. I'd rather they fix EVERYTHING!

Try to boot from win PE, please verify disk status, make sure partitions, files applied successfully.
Please also check boot files.
In addition, is the machine under UEFI mode?

PS CS6 10bit with Quadro K4000 and 30" Dell U3011. My experiences...

Hello everyone. I had searched quite extensively when looking into a solution for my color banding on an ancient Apple 30" cinema display which was on it's last leg. That search led me to 10bit and it's surprisingly obscure implementation in PS. Allow me to share my experiences so others doing google searches can potentially be helped, and also pose a few questions that Nvidia could not answer for me.
First, I am running Windows 7 x64, latest drivers/patches on everything. Everything includes:
PNY Quadro K4000
Dell U3011 via Displayport
Windows 7 x64
Photoshop CS6 x64
2560 x 1600 Desktop resolution
So the long story here is that I did not think my combination was working. I tried the ramp.psd from AMDs website, and saw absolutely no change. Frustrated, I hit the internet, and unfortunately, found a plethora of AMD/ATI based help, but very very little Nvidia Quadro support, msot likely due to their "it just works" mentality (http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3049/~/how-to-enable-30-bit-color-on-wi ndows-platforms). The help files say that the Quadro and PS will just detect the ability to use 10bit color depth and use it, but there is no way to confirm that that combination is in fact compatible without actually seeing the result. No screen overlays, no checkboxes in the driver (as far as confirmation goes). You can force 10bit in the quadro driver, but that doesn't tell you it's actually working.
So I got on the live support with a helpful tech from Nvidia and eventually got to the bottom of it. Things I learned:
- with Photoshop maximized at 2560 x 1600, 10bit did NOT work with any of the flyout panels open. This was the number one hair-puller, and why I thought this was not working at all the entire time. I had my history panel out. At some point while chatting with the Nvidia rep I decided to take photoshop off of full screen so I could see both PS and the chat window at the same time. The PS window then occupied maybe 70% of the screenspace and poof.. the bands disappeared. I slowly drag the corner of the screen out to make it larger and at some point the bands pop back in. Odd. So I maximize but close the flyout history panel and poof, bands disappear. If I'm fullscreen and hit tab to hide shelves and panels, smooth as butter as well. The Nvidia rep summized that it had to do with OpenGL overlays interfering, but had nothing to offer in the way of the resolution/screen size issue.
So I either have to view 10bit as a toggle, or not use my pallets as flyouts in the main PS window, or not maximize PS.
So, I'm sure there are other people running this combo, so I'd love to hear your results. ATI/AMD cards are clearly a different driver set, and thus, probably totally different results. Nvidia claims there is NO resolution limit to 10bit written into their driver, so the resolution being the problem did not make sense to them. That laid the blame purely on Photoshop. I'd love to hear from Adobe on the matter.
In any case, hopefully this helps someone struggling as to why they see no difference on that gradient image. It is literally night and day, so if you aren't seeing that "pop," it's just not working.
I must say that, as I've read in countless other posts, in actual photos, this 10bit can be a very minimal improvement, but it is noticeable in some of my shots where I have color grads on skintones. The red burn is gone, and it's a much smoother transition. This is insanely evident in purely CG created gradients or gausian blurred overlays, however. I have a few CG-assisted background hotspots with the addition of a gausian blurred screen of white, and it has helped that quite a bit.
I, for one, welcome out 10bit overlords. Hope this helps someone.

This is disabled automatically by the Quadro driver the second you turn on the Deep Color option. And no, as someone who uses his machine for production moreso than pleasure, I immediately turn all that stuff off anyways as it's useless.
I will test that file after work tonight when I get home. No 10bit here. Irony.
Thanks. I'll also try to make a video/animated gif of sorts to illustrate the difference to your naked eye. I was also quite clueless as to the "real world" implications when I started looking into this, as all you really find are generated gradients, which seem doctored at times. Seeing the pop happen with your own eyes is quite interesting, and a definite selling feature.
Oh, also, I will add that I previously ordered the new U2713H from Dell, and I was 100% disssatisfied with the backlight bleed, as well as the color representation and quality control. Mine had a very terribly noticeable yellow color bleed in the lower left. I found this to be a regular occurance for these newer LED backlit monitors, and ultimately returned it and went with the older CCFL U3011. It is far superior IMO and only slightly more expensive. Some of the representatives haven't been properly trained and don't know what to do (and claim there is nothing they can do);
in that case the only way seems to be to give up that chat and try another session hoping for a properly trained representative.
If your problem is with another device using Overdrive, Bluefire, Aldiko or similar third party app, it is recommended not to mention that app when on the chat, just mention that you have run out of authorizations (E_ACT_TOO_MANY_ACTIVATIONS) . Thanks to AJP_Bear for that tip.

Opening PDF in browser using Adobe API - with mark up and comment features

Here is the scenario :   Firstly, the user has to review the file (say pdf) before approving it. I would like to open the pdf file in the browser directly for reviewing. Also, I want to add some mark up (sticky notes, etc) and comment features while reviewing. Using these features, the user can pin point the mistakes directly in the file and revert the file for changes if any.
And as part of implementation, I would like to use Adobe java API to do the same. But I couldn't find any code snippets for using this API.
Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Adobe issues With Windows XP and IE 8

I have Windows XP SP3. I also have IE 8. Anytime I wanted to read a PDF file within IE, it crashes and get Website restore error. I also unistalled Adobe Acrobat Reader 10.1.3 and reinstalled and get the same error message. I also can not download an attached PDF doc. When I click to download it, normally you get the time remaining et al and it shows totally blank.

I have exact same problem and set-up, except no reader. Let me know if you find fix, I'll do same.
Using Acrobat 10.1.3, Very SLOW download if they do complete.

The Tesla C2075 card & Quadro 6000 card + Nvidia Maximus configuration (CS 5.5.2 update)

Could somebody kindly discuss in more detail the improvement of the Nvidia Maximus configuration? The Tesla C2075 card and the Quadro 6000 card appear to be identical cards. If a PC computer had both cards installed + an AJA KONA 3G card + the Premier Pro CS 5.5.2 update, what would the advantage be in comparison to a computer that only has a Quadro 6000 card + an AJA KONA 3G card installed (no C2075?) Adobe Master Collection would be installed in this PC computer. Thank you.

Here is what one of the Nvidia folks said when a similar question was asked elsewhere:
"That’s right; a Quadro 6000 and Tesla C2075 are not identical but they are very similar and you can expect similar performance. There are a few reasons you might want to use a Maximus configuration for Premiere Pro rather than a single Quadro 6000:
1. Having both a Quadro and Tesla GPU in the system means when the Tesla is cranking full-out on Mercury Playback Engine the Quadro is unaffected, so you can, say, open After Effects or other application that may take advantage of the Quadro, and system performance on that app will be better than if it was competing for resources with MPE on a single GPU.
2. In the future, we expect many users will want to run an animation application (using the Quadro) and a simulation application (on the Tesla) at the same time to provide animators with a level of interactivity they don’t have without Maximus technology. 3. It costs less. Nvida Quadro K2000 and Telsa K20

I have a system with a Nvida Quadro K2000 and Tesla K20. After Effects, Premier and Speedgrade do not indicate that this is an acceptable GPU yet the website claims it is? How do I configure the software?

You will likely have to go into the Nvidia control panel and set the Cuda GPU to the K20. You will want to set it up on global and then under the programs option for Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder. I have seen a bug lately where the Nvidia control panel resorts back to the Primary video card under each program listing even when you set the global option in the Nvidia control panel.

NVIDIA Tesla C2075 Disappeared after nvidia driver update

Hi,
I have 2 NVIDIA cards, the primary is NVIDIA GTS 450 and the secondary is Tesla C2075.
After upgrading
linux 3.6.9 => linux 3.7.9-2
nvidia 310 => nvidia 313.18-3
nvidia-utils 310 => nvidia-utils 313.18-1
opencl-nvidia 310 => opencl-nvidia 313.18-1
The cudaGetDeviceCount function in CUDA didn't recognize Tesla C2075,
and cudaGetDeviceProperties couldn't find it as well.
Strangely enough, Tesla C2075 still shows up in nvidia-smi and nvidia-settings,
and some programs using opencl-nvidia interface could recognize Tesla C2075 as well,
the problem is only with CUDA programs....
I tried reinstalling cuda5 and recompiling the binaries,
switching the Tesla C2075 to the primary video card,
but they didn't make any difference.
Any idea on how this could happen?
Now I just down-graded nvidia driver and Tesla C2075 shows up in CUDA programs again....

We have to Integrate Adobe Forms with Siebel CRM and using vesion 8.1
Referred Some PDF's from 8.1 Bookshelf and clearly mentioned as Required Adobe Live Cycle Designer, Adobe Form Server
Can we get the same from edelivery.oracle.com or should we refer any other website?
Also Mentioned some JAR Files are required for Adobe Integration, where do we get these JAR Files

Siebel does offer email functionality directly within Siebel CRM. so to have everythign within the CRM it would be the most straigth forward approach to handle all the medias from the beginning within Siebel --> having all contact history already at the place in the CRM where your customer requests to have it.
for the voice and mail channel there is a multi channel adapter available integrating Cisco UCCE and Siebel CRM. Siebel does today not contain of a dedicated chat modul - so this isn't integrated (yet).
is chat a requirement you do face today? or as you talk about EIM "only" voice and mail?

That is not a configuration that After Effects CS6 will use for the GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer.

The Quadro K5000 was added to the whitelist for the GPU acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer in After Effects CC (12.0).

Premiere Pro CC and Nvidia Maximus k5000 and k20

I've tried both nvidia drivers 320.27 and 320.49 and can only get the K5000 for process in Premiere Pro CC, AE CC and Media Encoder CC. In the Maximus Config Utility I have the 5000 set to Dedicated to graphics only tasks, yet the K20 never goes above 0% usage. I'm running Win7 64bit, Premiere CC 7.0.1. Nvidia drivers 320.49.
Im getting better performance from the k5000 through queuing to Media Encoder than I cam from direct export from Premiere. But here's my processes on the GPU when export.
I've tried Using k5000 for "Use for both Graphics and compute tasks" and Tried using ECC on and off for both the k5000 and k20.
I'm stumped how to get my Maximus configuration to work with Adobe CC.

I've delete the CUDA and OpenCL text files with no success of using the K20. I modified the cuda_supported text file to include the k20, and it the premiere timeline used both cards came with an error stating this card is not supported, but worked flawlessly . However, now I can't export a quicktime file. I get a "error compiling movie" error message. I delete the CUDA and Open CL text files and replaced them with the original text files found in the folder, rebooted and now have the Maximus config working in Premier. But still have the error compiling quicktime files.
Thanks for the suggestions for what ever reason, deleting the text file and replacing it with the same file and deleting and reinstalling solved the K20 issue in Premiere.
This also solved AE not seeing the K20.

Enhancing GPU: 2 cards GeForce GTX 770 connected with SLI or Nvidia Quadro K5000?

Hello, I'm going to start working with video files of 4k raw format (Premiere, After Effects, SpeedGrade, RedGiant plug-ings). Now I have a video card GPU Nvidia GeForce GTX 770, but I was told that game video cards GeFroce have limited fukntsional when working with video in Premiere. Is it really so? If I change my card to Nvidia Quadro K5000 which has close characteristics, will I get any extra features working in Adobe programms (Premiere, SpeesGrade, After Effect)? Does it make sense in such a substitution? Or is it better to buy a second GTX 770 and put them in SLI? Will Adobe support that?

No, the Geforce cards don't have a limitation with 4K media and the GPU acceleration. The GPU acceleration ie CUDA is not specific to either Geforce or Quadro. The specs of the cards decide the performance. The Geforce Specs are far greater than the Quadro K5000 if you get the 780Ti or the Titan Black Edition. Both cards are cheaper. The only benefit the Quadro card has in regards to Adobe is the 10bit color output option for preview since Adobe is Open GL based for the API. However you can get a Blackmagic 4K studio card with a Titan Black edition and still spend less money than the K5000 while having far better performance. I personally run a E5-2697 V2 12 Core Xeon with a 770GTX 4GB card and I play 4K r3d back at half resolution easily right now. Full resolution for preview with 4K red is simply not possible via any software other than Redcine X Pro right now until the GPU acceleration debayering is available. BTW I would suggest 1 Titan Black edition over 2x 770GTX cards. The scaling across GPU's only works on rendering right now. When the GPU acceleration debayer is available then adding a 2nd Titan card would be far better than having 2x 770GTX cards.
SLI and GPU acceleration are 2 different technologies. SLI is scaling the drawing to the display across more than 1 video card. GPU acceleration is a programming module that send calculations to the GPU for processing that were normally processed by the player via the CPU. GPU acceleration does not require or even use SLI to scale across GPU's. That is managed and scheduled by the application.

Early 2008 Mac Pro, NVIDIA Quadro 5600, and Adobe CS5 - HELP!!!

Hello, I am currently pulling my hair out over my GPU situation. I'm eagerly awaiting the ship date for CS5, but I'm concerned about one of its system requirements, where it says an OpenGL capable card must be supported for the software to work.
So I went to their handy chart explaining which cards are supported, and mine, the Quadro FX 5600, is not listed on the Mac side. It is however listed on the Windows side.
But when I bought my Mac Pro, the 5600 was being offered by Apple, they're the ones who installed it for me! Haven't had a problem in CS4, but now I'm afraid I won't see the significant boost in power Adobe is promising from CS5.
When I called Adobe about it, I was on the phone for more than 45 minutes, talking to people in India who I even got to admit don't actually use the software, and ultimately told me they simply couldn't answer the question.
So if anyone could advise me wether or not my Early 2008 Mac Pro with Quadro FX 5600 graphics card will support OpenGL in After Effects CS5, I'd be eternally grateful.

the OpenGL Extensions Viewer, which, when launched DIRECTLY TESTS with which versions of the OpenGL standard your card is compatible. (Right now there appear to be download problems with the URL above (a 421 FTP error: server is limiting available connections.)
I'm also hoping this indicates no problems with CS5!
